Before Sawyer could think too much, Kali's lips were back on his, her hands going to the hem of his shirt. Getting the hint, Sawyer helped her pull the flimsy material away, lifting it over his head, instantly capturing Kali's lips again. With his chest bare, Kali ran her fingertips from his abs, back up to his shoulders, pulling him closer. In response, Sawyer lowered his mouth, peppering kisses over her jaw, before dipping down to run his tongue over her neck. Kali couldn't stop the moan that left her lips, as he sucked on her pulse point, feeling a spark of pleasure go through her. She felt his teeth brush against the sensitive skin as—

An awkward cough from across the room, had the pair whipping around, coming face to face with a limping Locke. Kali cursed herself as she had forgotten he had been resting in the bunks, and quickly pulled herself off Sawyer, a deep red blush on her cheeks.

"Afternoon" Locke nodded towards the pair, who were still breathing heavily.

"Sorry to uh…interrupt, but I'm gathering you haven't heard the countdown" Locke pointed out, gesturing towards the computer room.

A frown grew on Kali's face as she realised, through the sound of their hearts beating, she could now hear the tell-tale beeping. She ran a hand through her messy hair, embarrassed that they had been so caught up in the moment they had become oblivious to everything around them.

"I'll just…go…do that" Kali stuttered, her head down, as she rushed out of the room.

"…That wasn't what it looked like—" Sawyer began, as Locke cut him off.

"I'm forty-eight, James. I know what kissing a girl looks like" Locke retorted, a little offended.

"It's probably for the best if we keep this just between us, John" Sawyer emphasised, pushing himself to his feet, grabbing his shirt which had been thrown to the floor.

"Understood" Locke nodded, turning around, and limping away with an amused smile.

"You planning on making me your dirty little secret?" Kali suggested, already having typed the numbers in and overhearing the end of the conversation.

"No. But I'd rather not have people on this island like—" Sawyer began, but she cut him off.

"Jack" Kali finished for him, as he came to stand in front of her.

"Yes, like Jack…getting involved in our business" Sawyer stated, reaching out to smooth down some of her hair that was sticking up.

"You said 'our'" Kali replied, smugly, making Sawyer roll his eyes.

"Your impossible, you know that, blue eyes?" Sawyer scoffed, as she nodded, leaning on her tiptoes to press a chaste kiss to his lips.

"You better get out of here before Locke comes back and decides we need a chaperone" Kali exclaimed, watching a mischievous glint grow in Sawyer's eyes.

"Oh, you have anything in mind?" Sawyer grinned, as she hit his shoulder.

"Get out of here, dimples" Kali laughed, causing Sawyer to hold his hands up in mock defence.

As Sawyer turned away, the grin still plastered across his face, a boyish chuckle left his lips. He felt like a damn sixteen-year-old crawling out of his girl's window. Once Sawyer was past the corner, Kali raised her fist in the air, doing a little victory dance. She would have to approach Sawyer in a towel more often, she thought to herself.

"It's a shame it won't work" A voice boomed from inside the armoury, making Kali jump.

"Ew, were you listening to us?" Kali grimaced, storming over to the door.

"When you're being that loud, it's unavoidable" 'Henry' retorted.

"Creep" Kali muttered, banging on the door.

"Don't you want to know why I said what I did?" 'Henry' questioned.

"What, so you can manipulate me too?" Kali scoffed, turning on her heel.

"You'll break his heart" 'Henry exclaimed, making Kali grit her teeth.

"Really? Cause' unlike you, I don't play around with people and their emotions" Kali pointed out.

"You're just not meant to be, Kali" 'Henry' told her, as she shook her head, and reluctantly unlocked the door, ripping it open.

"Sorry but I'm not gonna' take relationship advice from a guy tied up in a makeshift cell" Kali huffed, marching over to where he was sitting on the floor, ropes covering his arms and legs.

"I wasn't talking about your relationship. I was just talking about you" 'Henry went on, his beady eyes boring into her own.

"What the hell does that mean?" Kali frowned, finding his choice of words odd.

"Untie these ropes and maybe I'll tell you" 'Henry' suggested, holding his hands up.

Kali simply laughed in response and turned around, not sure why she was letting the man into her head in the first place.

"Did it hurt?" 'Henry' called out, a curious tone to his voice.

"What?" She queried, her back still turned.

"When you fell off that cliff…I imagine it must have. All those broken bones. Your heart stopped, didn't it?" 'Henry' asked, as she twisted around, her jaw tense.

"Anyone would think you've been watching us…Ben" Kali retorted.

She watched his reaction closely, if she blinked she would have missed it. But for just a split-second, there was surprise in his calculated eyes. He almost looked impressed.

"Excuse me?" He frowned, as a smirk grew on Kali's face.

"Don't play dumb with me. It really doesn't suit you" Kali scoffed.

"My name's not—" He began, but Kali stopped him.

"Cindy gave your name away. You remember her, right? You snuck her on board the plane? She was your little spy…but she squealed pretty quickly" Kali explained, a dark look in her eyes.

"…How'd you figure it out?" Ben asked, tilting his head.

"Well, I knew this task of voluntarily getting captured would have to go to someone trustworthy in your group. Someone loyal, someone who wouldn't break. And the way you talk, Ben…like your smarter than everyone else, no…better than everyone else. You gave it away yourself" Kali went on.

"I suppose you better go tell your people what you know" Ben challenged, raising an eyebrow.

"We both know I can't do that" Kali muttered, crouching down so she was level with Ben.

"The one thing I can't figure out, is why? Risking the leader of your group, it doesn't make much sense. What if one of us just loses it and kills you? Unless…someone sent you away from your camp. Someone challenging your authority. Trouble in paradise?" Kali mocked, a smug expression on her face.

"You know, you've got that same look in your eye" Ben drawled out, as Kali's forehead wrinkled.

"What look?" Kali asked.

"The same as your brother" Ben retorted, making her gulp.

"Is he—" Kali began but was cut off by a familiar voice from behind her.

"What the hell are you doing in here?" Jack gaped, rushing in and grabbing her arm.

"He was shouting. I thought I better make sure he wasn't hurting himself" Kali lied, easily as Jack led her out of the room.

"You can't be alone with that guy, Kali! It's too dangerous" Jack scolded, slamming the door shut.

"Well, believe it or not, but I can handle it" Kali muttered, finding Jack's eyes softened.

"This would say otherwise" Jack pointed out, reaching out so that his fingertips brushed against the bruise on her cheek.

"I'm going back to the beach. Have fun on hatch duty" Kali huffed, brushing his hands away, and storming away, as Jack let out a long sigh.

There was a crowd forming around Sawyer's tent when Kali reached the beach, which never meant anything good. She was surprised to see his tent had fallen apart, the tarp on the floor, and Sawyer being dragged underneath it. Kali went to rush forward to help the blond, when Jin grabbed her arm, laughing as he said something in Korean. The next second, Hurley came into view, practically jumping on top of Sawyer, easily overpowering him.

"Who the hell do you think you are?!" Hurley exclaimed, slapping Sawyer's arms.

"Get off me!" Sawyer cried, raising his hands up to protect his head.

"Jabba…King Kong…Lardo…" Hurley growled, hitting Sawyer with everything nasty remark the blond had ever given him.

Sun pushed both Jin and Kali forward, both who were almost on their knees from laughing so hard. It was the funniest thing either of them had seen in a while.

"I mean, he does kind of deserve it" Kali giggled, as Jin raised his hand up, looking to his wife.

"가다" Sun insisted, giving them a disapproving look.

"Get him off me!" Sawyer yelled, as Hurley continued hitting him.

Reluctantly, Jin and Kali rushed forward, each grabbing one of his arms and giving a tug. This resulted in Hurley almost crushing them both, as Sawyer desperately crawled away from his attacker.

"What the hell's the matter with you? You're crazy!" Sawyer gaped, pushing himself to his feet, wiping at his face.

"I'm not crazy" Hurley muttered, as Kali managed to push him off her.

"Oh for God's sake, would you two quit acting like children? Why were you even fighting?" Kali complained, dusting the sand off her trousers.

"He made fun of me!" Hurley told her.

"I can't help it if he makes it so easy" Sawyer shrugged, as Hurley went to lunge at him again.

"Enough. Kiss and make up you two" Kali announced, as both men pouted.

"I'm serious. Hug it out. We're all waiting" Kali insisted, crossing her arms, as Jin came to stand beside her, copying her pose with amusement.

"I'm not hugging, Jumbotron" Sawyer scoffed, as Kali pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Well, if you do, I'll…" Kali trailed off, walking towards him, leaning up to whisper something in his ear.

"…You drive a hard bargain, blue eyes" Sawyer sighed, but reluctantly marched up to Hurley.

"We hug and never mention it again" Sawyer suggested, holding his long arms out.

"Works for me" Hurley mumbled, as the two embraced quickly.

Sawyer patted the bigger man's back awkwardly, as Hurley opted to wrap his strong arms around Sawyer's back, squeezing him harder than he needed to. Kali had to bite her lip to stop herself from laughing at the sight.

"Alright, alright. Enough already" Sawyer murmured, pushing Hurley away from him, embarrassed.

"You happy now?" Sawyer exclaimed, turning back to Kali, who was grinning from ear to ear.

"Very" She smirked, raising her hand for Jin to high five.

The older man frowned at her raised limb in confusion, as Kali rolled her eyes, grabbed his hand and smashed their palms together. That was a sight she wouldn't be forgetting in a while, she thought to herself.

That evening, Kali had been helping Sawyer to put his makeshift tent back together, gathering more bamboo to help keep it upright. As she entered the structure, with a bag slung over her shoulder, she thought about how bare it looked without all of her things. The only light source was the fading sun from outside, and a small torch in the corner of the tent. Sawyer turned to her with a grin on his lips, as he grabbed the bag from her shoulder.

"So, you're keeping up your end of the bargain? Moving back in?" Sawyer asked, throwing her bag onto his makeshift bed.

"You should really take me out on a date first. I'm a proper Southern girl" Kali complained, putting on her thickest American accent.

"There's nothing proper about you" Sawyer smirked, as he leaned down to press his lips against hers.

"You're definitely a bad influence" Kali grinned, feeling Sawyer's hands trail down from her hips to her ass.

"Says you" Sawyer scoffed, as he pulled her closer to him.

Kali was quick to jump up and wrap her legs around his hips, swallowing the moan that came from Sawyer with her lips. They stumbled backwards, as Sawyer's back hit the part of the plane wreckage he used to keep his tent together. Their tongues collided, as Kali's hands found their way back into Sawyer's hair, tugging on the blond strands. Becoming distracted, Sawyer tripped over a stack of books, sending them both to the floor with a thump.

"You okay?" Kali laughed, having fallen on top of him.

"Never better" Sawyer smiled, leaning up to kiss her lips, frowning when she pulled away.

His mouth went slack as she sat up to pull her shirt over her head, leaving her in just her bra. Kali giggled as she could see Sawyer's mind had gone blank, his eyes darkening. His hands slowly came up to rest on her hips, his thumbs brushing against her pale skin.

"You just gonna' sit there or—" Kali was cut off, as Sawyer suddenly sat upright, his lips crashing into hers.

A gasp left her lips as she felt him rock up against her, just as his teeth pulled on her bottom lip. Kali's hands fumbled to unbutton his shirt, feeling how his chest heaved underneath.

"Move in with me" Sawyer mumbled, against her lips, as she pulled away a little.

"I thought that's what I was doing?" She laughed, still trying to unbutton his shirt.

"No, I mean…when we get off the island. We could get a place together" Sawyer clarified, as Kali's forehead wrinkled.

"…Your serious?" Kali asked, as Sawyer nodded.

"Not gonna' lie, I'm getting some mixed signals here, Sawyer" Kali mumbled, as Sawyer raised his hand to the base of her neck.

"I thought my intentions were pretty clear" Sawyer smirked, leaning forward to kiss her again.

"But you asked Locke not to tell anyone about us. I thought…you're not exactly the dating type" Kali pointed out, as Sawyer gave her a mock gasp.

"I've dated plenty of women" Sawyer retorted.

"Okay, how many women have you dated that haven't been marks?" Kali went on, quirking an eyebrow.

"Well, there was…hold on, hold on, I'm thinking" Sawyer insisted, when Kali opened her mouth again.

"Just tell me what you want, James" Kali stated, her blue eyes boring into his.

"I want…to not screw this up" Sawyer admitted, not being able to hold her gaze for long.

"Then we should probably not think too much into this" Kali pointed out, as a smile grew on Sawyer's lips.

"I can work with that" Sawyer exclaimed, capturing her lips again, his hand tangling into her hair.

Neither of them heard panicked footsteps rushing towards the makeshift tent, or the tarp being pulled back. But they couldn't miss the choked gasp that could be heard over their heavy breathing.

"Jesus, Hurley! Get out of here!" Sawyer cried, when he saw the large man standing at the entrance of the tent.

"Uh, I didn't see anything…I think…" Hurley stuttered, placing both his hands over his eyes.

Sawyer was quick to grab Kali's shirt, placing it over her chest, as she pulled herself off him, reluctantly. It seemed the pair couldn't get more than a couple of minutes alone on the island.

"Unless someone's dead, you better have a damn good reason for interrupting—" Sawyer began, as Kali pulled her shirt back on.

"Boone's back" Hurley announced, as Kali's movements faltered.

"What did you say?" Kali gaped, standing up quickly.

"Jack and Kate found him and Michael in the Jungle. I just thought you and him were, well…I thought you should know. Uh, can I take my hands away now?" Hurley asked, still obscuring his visions.

"Yeah" Kali muttered, a zoned-out look on her face.

"What do you mean they just found them? Hell, when did they even leave camp?" Sawyer exclaimed.

"I don't know, man. I thought you were in the inner circle" Hurley shrugged, turning on his heel and leaving the tent.

"So did I" Sawyer scoffed, buttoning his shirt up.

"I need to tell you something" Kali sighed, biting her lip.

"So, when exactly were you gonna' tell me that psycho Boone had threatened your life?" Sawyer complained as they trailed through the jungle, towards the hatch.

She had told him about her strange encounter with Boone at Shannon's graveside and wondered herself why she hadn't told him sooner.

"Look, I'm sorry, but I wasn't sure if what I saw was even real. You know what this island is like…" Kali trailed off.

"But now he's back" Sawyer pointed out.

"He said the next time he saw me, he'd be there to kill me. I don't think there's much to get lost in translation there, right?" Kali went on, as they saw the hatch entrance in the distance.

"He makes a move against you and I'll shoot him in the face" Sawyer muttered, his hand itching to go to his gun, hidden in the waistband of his jeans.

"We should just act like everything's normal. We don't the whole story yet. Let's wait and see what Boone has to say for himself" Kali suggested, coming to the hatch entrance.

"Sure, what could go wrong?" Sawyer sighed, reluctantly following her.

Kali felt a shiver go down her spine as soon as she heard Boone's voice. It seemed so different from what she in her memory. When her eyes connected with his, even they seemed different. They were a colder, lighter blue than she remembered. His face didn't change for a few seconds when she came into view, but a smile soon spread over his lips.

"Kali! It's so good to see you" Boone cried, rushing over to her, pulling her into a quick hug.

"Yeah…you too" Kali replied, patting him on the back.

She felt claustrophobic in his arms, as he hugged her a little too hard. The whole embrace seemed off. It was almost like she was in a dream. Or a nightmare.

"What happened to you?" Kali asked, as he pulled away.

Boone soon told them an interesting story about how he had found the Other's camp. How there was only twenty-two of them and they lived in even worse conditions than them. He insisted that they would easily be able to overthrow the group and stated that was why he had come back.

The whole thing smelt like bullshit.

Michael was still unconscious, looking much worse for wear than Boone did. Apart from a few scratches to his face, and some new stubble, Boone seemed unharmed. Michael, on the other hand, had visible bruises on his face and arms. The difference between them was clear and made Kali even more suspicious. When the right time arose, Kali pulled Boone away from the rest of the group, feeling on edge.

"They already told me about Shannon. One of the Others shot her, right?" Boone mumbled, as Kali frowned.

"Right…but you already knew about that?" Kali questioned, as Boone's eyes narrowed.

"No. Of course, I didn't" Boone replied.

"I saw you at her grave, Boone" Kali insisted, as Boone now frowned.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Boone inquired, tilting his head, a gesture which seemed so unlike him.

She had known enough liars in her life to be able to tell that Boone genuinely had no idea what she walking about. But how was that possible? Had she hallucinated the strange encounter?

"…Uh, nothing. It's nothing. How are you holding up?" Kali asked, but Boone still didn't seem convinced.

"My sister's dead, Kali. How do you think I am?" Boone scoffed, angrily.

"Who told you it was an Other who shot her?" Kali couldn't help but ask.

"Jack" Boone informed her, as Kali turned to catch Jack's eyes across the room, finding he quickly looked to the ground.

He was protecting Ana Lucia. It made sense but it was a stupid move. Boone would find out soon enough. There were plenty of people in the group who would have no problem throwing the woman under the bus. Kali wondered for a second whether she was one of them.

"So, these Other's you found? Pretty primitive, huh?" Kali questioned.

"Looked like it" Boone shrugged.

"You hear anything about a guy called Ben?" Kali queried, watching Boone's face stiffen for a moment.

"Doesn't ring a bell" Boone answered, looking like he wanted to be anywhere else but talking to her.

"Am I keeping you from something?" Kali muttered, when she saw how Boone's eyes flickered around the room.

"Hurley not here anymore?" Boone asked as Kali shook her head, slowly.

"…He's back at the beach. Why the interest?" Kali challenged.

"No reason" Boone smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes.

When Michael woke up a few hours later and corroborated Boone's story, it seemed that was all Jack needed to believe him. He instantly told Sawyer to show them where the guns were, who shot him down. Even though he and Kali hadn't talked yet, the blond shared her distrust with Boone's sudden reappearance.

"We don't have time for this. Kali, tell him to give us the guns" Jack insisted.

"He's not my pet, Jack" Kali scoffed.

"Isn't he?" Jack retorted as the pair gave him an angry look.

"Sawyer, we're going with or without the guns. You really want us to turn up at their camp emptyhanded?" Jack went on.

"We need to think more about this—" Kali began, but Boone cut her off.

"They still have Walt. Who knows what they could be doing to him…right, Michael?" Boone stated, turning to the older man.

There was a few moments of tense silence, where Kali realised Boone's words seemed more like a threat than anything else. Michael was practically shaking when he finally replied.

"We have to do something" Michael nodded.

"Guns. Now" Jack repeated, no longer listening to reason.

"I'll stay here" Kali piped up, as all eyes turned to her.

"No. You know where the guns are, you can take them to them. I'll stay" Sawyer shook his head, knowing what she was thinking.

"For God's sake, I don't care who takes us!" Jack complained, growing irritated.

"It's fine. I can stay here" Ana Lucia argued, but this only made Kali feel even more uncomfortable.

"I don't think that's a good idea" Kali exclaimed.

"How come?" Boone asked, giving her a look.

"We shouldn't all go" Kali replied.

"I'll stay too" Locke suggested, as Kali rolled her eyes.

"No offence, John, but you can barely walk. I'm not really filled with confidence" Kali muttered.

"I ain't going if you don't, Kali" Sawyer insisted, as she walked towards him.

"We shouldn't leave them here" Kali hissed, in a hushed voice.

"Why don't you come with us, Boone? The more the merrier, right?" Sawyer challenged, as Michael took a step forward.

"No. As you said, John's weak. And Ana Lucia is only one girl. I'd feel more comfortable with Boone staying" Michael explained, as Jack nodded.

"He's right" Jack agreed.

"…Fine" Kali mumbled, still not happy.

"Hey, Kali. Can I talk with you for a second?" Michael called out, ushering her over, as the others got their packs ready.

"I'm guessing Billy never made it back here?" Michael guessed, as Kali shook her head, sadly.

"What happened out there?" Kali questioned.

"I don't know. It got dark, and we heard something. Next thing I know, he was sprinting off towards the sound. I never saw him again after that" Michael sighed.

"You almost let me drown once, Michael. You still owe me. So, level with me. Everything that you've both said…it's a hundred per cent true?" Kali whispered, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah…I was lucky Boone found me out there" Michael nodded.

"Swear on your son's life" Kali insisted, firmly.

"…I swear" Michael replied, after a few seconds.

"I can never tell you how sorry I am for what I did, Kali. I just hope…one day you'll forgive me. That everyone will" Michael went on, suddenly pulling her into a hug.

Kali frowned at this action, feeling his arms wrap around her back, but she didn't return the embrace. There was some dark part of her that wished the older man had never come back. Whenever she looked at him, she could still see him refusing to help her in the ocean, as the water dragged her underneath. She didn't think that would ever change.

Kali gave him a curt nod as she pulled away, seeing that the others were already moving away. Before she left the room, she placed her hand on Locke's shoulder, whispering a quick warning in his ear.

"Don't take your eyes off Boone" Kali warned, as the older man stared down at her in confusion.

As Kali rushed to catch up with the other's, Locke's eyes connected with Boone's across the room, feeling a chill go down his back. He wasn't sure why Kali had said what she did, but he planned to take her advice.

Thirty minutes later, and the tension in the hatch was growing. Locke leant against the kitchen counter as he watched Boone sit opposite Ana Lucia, who straightened up on the couch when she saw him. If Boone noticed this, he didn't comment on it.

"All that time I spent trying to get in here with John…never thought I'd actually get inside" Boone mumbled, as Ana fidgeted with her hands.

"They told me you fell off a cliff not far from here. Kind of a daredevil, huh?" Ana Lucia asked, a little awkwardly.

"Yeah, that's me. I'd have been dead if it wasn't for Kali…" Boone trailed off, raising his arm out to lean across the back of his chair.

"…Unfortunately, the same can't be said for my sister" Boone finished, his eyes snapping to Ana's.

Locke opened his mouth, pushing off from the kitchen counter, ready to intervene when he felt something slam against the back of his head. He instantly flopped to the floor, feeling his vision start to blur. A shadow came over him, as his eyes flickered up to see Michael standing over him, a gun in his hand.

"I'm sorry, John" Michael mumbled, before slamming his foot down onto Locke's head.

Michael gripped the gun he had taken from Kali when he hugged her tightly in his hand, knowing what needed to be done. For Walt.

"What's going on?" Ana Lucia exclaimed, jumping to her feet, as Michael turned the gun on her.

"Just some good old-fashioned revenge" Boone replied, holding out his hand, as Michael dropped the gun into his palm.

"You know?" Ana Lucia realised, her eyes widening.

"About how you shot my sister and watched her bleed out in front of you?" Boone spat out, pointing the gun at her head.

"I didn't…I thought she was…" Ana Lucia cried, tears beginning to well in her eyes.

"She was all I had! And you took her from me!" Boone insisted, angrily.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry—" Ana Lucia began, but was cut off by a loud bang.

She felt a sharp burning sensation go through her, looking down to see blood pooling from underneath her shirt. She stumbled backwards against the couch, her hands trying to stem the blood coming from the bullet wound. A tear rolled down her cheek, as she looked up to see Boone approaching her, putting the gun on the table. He suddenly grabbed her face, his eyes boring into hers, as a trail of blood dribbled down her chin.

"I…I'm…" Ana stuttered, before her lips stopped moving all of a sudden.

Boone's jaw tensed as he watched her chest still, and her eyes became unfocused. He had done it. He had got his revenge for Shannon. It felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders, making Boone exhale shakily.

"Oh my God…" A female voice cried, from a few metres away.

Boone whipped around just in time to see a blonde woman standing in the doorway to the room, blankets in her hand. He flinched as another gunshot rang out, his mouth going slack when he saw Michael now holding the gun. The woman let out a pained gasp, as she dropped to her knee's, the blankets dropping from her hands. Michael had shot her.

"…No, I didn't…Oh God…" Michael gaped, dropping the weapon to the floor.

Even Boone stayed where he stood, too frozen to move, as he watched blood drip down from the blonde woman's stomach. They were supposed to kill Ana Lucia. No one else. Boone felt bile rising in his throat, as the blonde looked up at Michael, tears welling behind her eyes.

Libby went still a second later as she felt cold hands wrap around her neck, a pleading expression on her face, as she sobbed.

"Michael—" Libby was cut off as the hands twisted her neck, a sickening snap ringing out.

Michael's hand flew to his mouth as Libby fell forward with a loud thump, her body motionless and saw who was standing over her. The man who had been filling his nightmares ever since he had been found by the Other's. Ken…Kali's brother.

"You really need to work on your aim" An amused voice announced, a sinister grin spread on his lips.

"I told you I could handle this, Ken" Boone exclaimed, in an irritated tone.

"Hmm, yeah…you seem to have everything 'under control'" Ken said sarcastically, using finger quotes, as he crouched down to turn Libby's body onto her back.

"Night, night" Ken mumbled, grabbing the blonde's hand, and using it to wave at her.

"Stop touching the dead body" Boone grimaced, at Ken's usual childish antics.

"You didn't have to kill her!" Michael blurted out, angrily.

"Would you rather have watched her bleed out slowly?" Ken retorted, coldly, his eyes snapping up to Michael's.

While Ken had a lean figure, standing at a little under six feet, he was much more muscular than he appeared. Unlike his sister, his hair was dark black, but he still had her pale complexion. His expression could change from a child-like grin to a murderous glare in a split second. Despite Ken only being in his early twenties, Michael felt completely intimidated whenever he was around the killer. Michael cowered away from him, as Ken pushed himself to his feet, his eyes still on Michael alone. He faltered when he almost tripped over something on the floor. Ken looked down to see Locke still unconscious on the floor and tilted his head.

"Hi" Ken mumbled, before shrugging and stepping over him.

He made his way over to the armoury, knowing who would be inside, his grin growing wider when he saw the door had never been properly closed, as Locke had given the man a plate of food only twenty minutes earlier.

"Did someone call for a dashing rescuer?" Ken announced, ripping the door open, causing Ben to flinch.

"You took your time" Ben replied, unamused, as Ken came to stand in front of him.

"Oh, Ben. You're not looking so good" Ken mocked, his eyes flickering over to ropes that tied him to the ground.

Ben had to restrain himself from rolling his eyes, which then flickered to the knife that Ken pulled out of his pocket. Crouching down, Ken quickly got to work with cutting the rope around Ben's hands and wrists, until he was completely free.

"I'm surprised to see you're still here. Didn't you say you'd be off the island by now—" Ben's smug voice was cut off as Ken suddenly grabbed him by his neck, dragging him over to the wall behind him.

Ben let out a choking noise as Ken's grip tightened. He tried to claw against Ken's arm, but the younger man was far stronger. Fighting against him was pointless.

"I suggest you give me the key, so I don't have to dull this heart-warming reunion by slitting your throat" Ken hissed, placing the sharp blade against Ben's neck.

"You really think I'd be stupid enough to have it on me?" Ben scoffed.

"Oh, I think your very stupid" Ken mocked, nicking Ben's neck lightly, before pulling away, drawing a small amount of blood.

"What key? What the hell are they talking about?" Michael whispered to Boone, who seemed irritated by his mere presence.

"Stay out of things that don't concern you, Michael" Boone muttered, as Ken dragged Ben out of the armoury, who's neck was still bleeding a little.

"Now, down to business. You saw my sister?" Ken asked, turning to Boone, who nodded slowly.

"…Did it sound she missed me?" Ken questioned, genuinely curious.

"Funnily enough, it didn't come up" Boone retorted, with a look of disbelief.

"What happened in here?" Ben frowned, looking at the three bodies on the floor.

"I got revenge for my Shannon" Boone announced, as Ben quirked an eye over to Libby's corpse.

"I…I didn't mean to…she startled me and I…I killed her…" Michael admitted, tears welling in his eyes again.

"Well, technically I killed her" Ken pointed out.

"Oh shut the hell up, man" Michael blurted out, his eyes widening when he realised what he had said.

"You want to say that again?" Ken questioned, taking a few steps forward until he was standing face to face with him.

"Oh, God. I didn't...don't kill me—" Michael begged, as Ken rolled his eyes.

"Why does everyone always think I'm gonna kill them?" Ken complained, with a frown.

"Because you're a serial killer" Ben stated, in a bored tone.

"Well, apart from that" Ken muttered.

"The other's will be back soon. You need to go" Boone advised, as Ken practically threw Ben towards Michael, who caught him with a stumble.

If they were caught, there was no way they'd ever get off the island. And that was one of the two things Boone had now. Putting as much distance between himself and his so-called former friends as possible...and getting back to Shannon. Getting what he was promised.

"How'd you feel? Did it make you feel better?" Ken questioned, placing his hand on Boone's shoulder, and ushering over to Ana Lucia.

"…Just like you said it would" Boone smirked, as Ken squeezed his shoulder.

"We're almost off this island, Boone. You, me and Kali" Ken grinned.

"She doesn't believe me" Boone admitted, as Ken's eyes narrowed.

"Don't worry, I can handle my sister" Ken smirked, sending a wink towards Boone.

"You haven't been able to in the past" Boone stated, as Ken's eyes darkened a little.

Ken laughed in response to this, walking away to stand near Ben, who now had his arm over Michael's shoulder. Boone ran a hand over his face, knowing Ken was sensitive about his sister and realised—

Bang!

Boone stumbled backwards as he felt pain radiating from his shoulder and looked down to see blood now seeping out from his shirt. He turned back to Ken with wide eyes, who was still holding the smoking gun, giving him a thoughtful look.

"That may have been a little impulsive" Ken admitted.

"You shot me!" Boone cried, placing his hand over the bullet wound.

"Only in the shoulder! Now, c'mon. Walk it off" Ken insisted, placing the gun in the waistband of his jeans.

"Walk it off?!" Boone gaped, grimacing as blood ran over his fingers.

"I really hate you sometimes" Boone muttered, grabbing a nearby dishcloth and wrapping it around his shoulder.

"I'm definitely starting to grow on him" Ken grinned to Ben, who was shaking his head at the two's antics.

Author's Notes: I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! What did you guys think of Ken? There's a lot of gaps in the story with Boone and Ken right now, but they will be explained! I've just finished the draft for the Season 2 finale and cried writing it, so enjoy that little spoiler, haha. We had a lot of reviews last chapter, which continues to amaze me seeing as this show ended over a decade ago! I don't think I'm very good at writing the makeout scenes, but hopefully you guys still liked it. Please leave a review:)

DrLexieSloan: I think there could definitely be room for a little Jack/Kali action in Season 3, but we'll have to wait and see. There's definitely a bit of role reversal coming on, as I think Sawyer needs a strong woman, who's not afraid to go after what she wants, haha. Aw, thank you so much! That's so sweet of you to say, I'm going to try to keep as up to date as I can, but it means a lot that you readers understand:)

Fairy87: Yep, it finally happened, haha!

ArtsyQueen: Aw, thank you! Forensics definitely sounds very interesting:) I hope you like the new update.

scripturient231: It only took 44 chapters! Thank you:) This review definitely made me laugh, haha.

Kz4: Thanks for reviewing, enjoy the new update!

carmelitajones: I thought it sounded very in character, haha. Glad you enjoyed that scene! Thanks for the review:)

Giio brasileira: Aw, thank you so much! That's really kind of you to say:) I listened to them again when writing this chapter, haha.

rosesoloxx: I'm glad you like the role reversal! Thanks for reviewing:)

Soffaa: Aw, thank you! It's taken a long time, haha. I've tried to make their relationship realistically slow burn, so I'm glad you've liked it:)

Fiore27: Thank you so much:) I'm always so flattered when people like my characterisation, as it's one of the hardest things to do with this sort of story. There will be lots more to come, don't worry!
