(A/N) Hello

I'm okay was just dealing with floods in my area!

Anyways first off I forgot to mention that last chapter was based from the song 'The Last Time by the Script' that song really helped me with that chapter.

Second, I've been adding season 4 into this story but half of Strike Back won't be mentioned because it doesn't match up with what I'm writing. (For all those who watched it will know what I'm talking about)

Third, I plan on writing another one shot soon so keep an eye out for that! But I'll be cutting the platforms I write on. After I finish this story I'm only sticking to Wattpad and AO3. If you want to know my user name for any of these platforms or my insta go to my profile!

Don't forget to give a like to my story!

Enjoy!

"Are you sure you can't stay?" Alya asked, hugging her best friend tighter than ever. "You could live here, we can turn the guest room into your own space." She suggested, pulling away and holding her by the shoulders, looking over Marinette with a soft smile.

"You have two babies coming along, I will feel horrible for taking up their space." Marinette argued, glancing at the spare room down the hallway that Alya suggested.

"Nonsense. They won't be coming for another 5 months and besides they will be in our room at least the first 3 months." Alya laughed. "Don't think I want to be walking to their room everytime one of them cries."

"I can't do that to you guys." Marinette cried, feeling bad by the second her friend was trying to find ways for her to stay.

"Just until you get back on your feet at least." Alya suggested, not letting her friend have an option.

Marinette shook her head sadly. "Thanks Al, but I need to do this. I need..." She stopped her sentence, going any further would cause questions she didn't want to deal with.

"To get away from him." The reporter finished for her. "I get it."

The bluenette raised and eyebrow at her. "You do?"

"Girl has anything ever gotten past me?" She asked, laughing.

"No." Marinette groaned and threw her head back. "I should've known you would've picked up on it straight away."

"Actually, Adrien told me everything." She came right out to say it, Marinette faced her again with a small gasp. "He loves you so much Marinette."

The bluenette scoffed, falling back on Alya's couch and crossing her arms. "He made it pretty clear to me last week that he doesn't."

Alya sat down next to her, placing her arm over top of the couch and getting comfy herself by propping one leg up and tucking it under the other that was flat on the floor.

"And you love him too!" Alya smirked, knowing her friend all too well that she didn't have to question her. "Don't deny it, I can see it written all over your face. You still have that love sick awkwardness whenever someone mentions his name!"

Marinette sunk lower into the couch and grumbled. "No!" She stated, turning her head away. "Chat Noir seems like a better option then that two timing prick." She grumbled.

Oh If only she knew.

Alya tried to hold her laughter, the irony was in plain sight but Marinette didn't know that. Well from what Adrien had told Alya a few weeks ago, she didnt.

Maybe if she got Marinette to open up more to Chat than they might get somewhere. She didn't want to see Adrien but she never said she didn't want to see Chat Noir.

"Have you told Chat Noir you're leaving?" She changed the subject in hopes she would at least talk to someone.

Finally looking back at her friend she sighed. "I was hoping to catch him next akuma attack but it looks like Hawkmoth went MIA again." She expressed, pushing herself up the chair slightly. "With his busy lifestyle I doubt he will be able to see me before I have to leave."

"If you do will you tell him who you are?" Alya asked.

The bluenette shook her head sadly. "It would only cause more pain and I don't want him chasing after me If he found out." Alya looked pointly at her and pursed her lips. "You know he would!" She pointed at her friend. "There's no doubt he would!"

"Okay okay, I understand." Holding her hands up in defence she backed off. "What are you going to do about the miracle box then?" Alya questioned instead.

"I was hoping you would take care of that" She squeaked in a small voice and got up out of her seat to fetch it out of the massive bag she dragged there.

"I-I..." Alya was now jumbled for words.

"It would be too hard to carry around on tour. Then coming to retrieve a miraculous would be even harder." Marinette explained, walking back over with the Ladybug egg, handing it out for her friend to take. "I know you will do great Alya!"

"But what about Chat Noir?" The reporter asked, getting nervous she was going to cop an ear full from Adrien if he found out she was the new guardian. "Wouldn't he be better as the new guardian?"

Oh how that would clash!

"Chat is too busy going back and forth that he can never be in one place." Marinette told Alya, pushing the egg towards her more until she gave up and took it. "Besides I think his girlfriend would freak out if she found a whole bunch of creatures flying around in his apartment." She chuckled at the thought but Alya didn't match her laughter.

Instead she looked over the egg, thinking about the consequences this whole arrangement would bring to the four of them - Nino included.

True Bethany would freak out having Kwami's in her house and probably freak out even more when she finds out her partner is Chat Noir. But Adrien wasn't in Milan anymore! He could come to a fight if need be and he could take responsibility of the egg.

Nino would be the one freaking out if he found out Ladybug had dropped that bombshell on him! He already flipped out when she finally told him who Ladybug was.

"Is that okay?" Marinette asked, feeling a little awkward with the long silence.

This was far from okay.

"Hmm, uhh. Yeah!" Alya hummed and nodded, too busy concentrating on a plan she had already planned in her head.

Marinette began taking off her earrings and pushed them also towards Alya. The reporter looked at her confused, there was no way she would take Tikki from her best friend as well.

"You know I can't be Ladybug, I'm pregnant!" Alya argued, pushing the jewels back towards her and closing her hand around them.

Marinette tried to push them back in her direction but was getting no where. "I know you will make the right decision on who you choose next! I trust you!"

Alya shook her head at her friend. "Keep Tikki, I'll grab her before you leave." She said softly, rubbing her thumb over her friends knuckles in support. "She needs a proper goodbye from her holder. At least give her that." Alya suggested, knowing if Marinette gave up being Ladybug now she won't have anytime to save her friend from leaving.

"Okay." Marinette peeped, eyes watering when she placed her earrings back on.

Silent hit them for a few minutes, soaking up each other's presence while it lasted. It wasn't until Marinette's phone buzzed with an alarm did she wipe her tears and got up off the couch.

"Sorry I have to meet Chloe." She told her friend, hugging her quickly before walking towards the door and grabbing her bag. Alya gave her a raised eyebrow at the mention of the blonde's name. "Don't worry, just some business I need to attend to that's all." She reasurred, standing at the doorway. "Take good care of them for me!"

"I will." Alya smiled at Marinette, watching her have a once over at the box in Alya's hands before shutting the door. "Shes gone." She called out once the door shut and sat back down on the couch, placing the miracle box on the coffee table. "You can come out now."

"Shes very determined to leave!" Nino came out, surprised in what he heard earlier. "Isn't she!"

"We need to stop her!"

"Whoa okay!" Nino sat next to his wife, watching as she suffled uncomfortably on the couch to get comfortable. "Maybe back track here. I thought you supported her being with Luka?"

The reporter groaned. "That was before I knew Adrien was Chat Noir! Gosh can't you keep up?"

Never argue with a pregnant lady they say!

"True!" Nino agreed, still not seeing what his wife had planned but was too scared to ask.

"You need to tell Adrien she's leaving!" Nino tried to interject but got a hand in his face. "I don't care what she says to me, I'll handle it but if they both leave like this they will both regret it!"

"Operation love square?" He suggested with a peep, hoping he didn't say anything wrong.

Alya beamed at the name. "Operation love square." She repeated and fist bumped her husband.

The plan was a go!

"You're leaving?" Chloe screeched.

The people around her glanced in her direction but she didn't care one bit. Having all eyes on her was what she always wanted, what she craved. Marinette pushed her towards the elevator in the hotel lobby, away from the crowd of people checking in and out at the front desk.

Chloe scoffed at the inconvenience, rattling off something along the lines of her taking away the light that was perfectly hitting her skin. Marinette just rolled her eyes from the comment and pressed the button while she waited.

The elevator dinged and people got out, the bluenette patiently waited for them to leave but Chloe had already shoved her way inside, shooing the people out.

"Yes I'm leaving!" She explained, finally walking into the elevator, the doors shutting behind her, Chloe scanned her card for the top floor and pressed a button before Marinette continued. "I need you to do something for me please!" Glancing at the blonde she handed her an envelope with the words Adrien written on the top. Chloe gasped but didn't get a word in as Marinette spoke first. "Give this to him after I leave, please don't show him this until then."

The blonde eyed her before taking it out of her hands. "Alright." Chloe grumbled, looking over the writing like she could see inside the envelope. "But I don't understand why you can't give it to him yourself! Haven't you told Bethany to get stuffed yet?"

The bluenette took a small step back leaning against the elevator wall and shook her head sadly. Bethany had done nothing wrong to her and she was paying a ridiculous amount to have her attend her wedding as her new maid of honour, on top of making her dress.

Marinette did know she was dragging Adrien and the company down, being selfish as to take over what was rightfully his. But she didn't want to win him by default, she wanted to win him by first choice.

Adrien's first choice was not her.

"She hasn't done anything wrong to me Chloe, I can't just ruin their relationship." Marinette explained and Chloe scoffed, shaking her head in disbelief. "Besides, Adrien has already made up his mind."

The elevator stopped and the two girls got out, walking down the hall before reaching the golden doors to Chloe's room. After all these years and being twenty five, she was still living in the same place.

Chloe shut the door behind them after they entered and turned to face Marinette who was absent mindedly walking around the room.

"If you believe for a second Adrien has chosen this for himself, then you really don't know him as well as you think!" She huffed and made her way to her closet.

"I don't understand what you mean?" Marinette followed her, watching as she ramaged through a draw full of papers.

"Sabrina!" The blonde yelled and Marinete jumped, glancing around to see where the red hair was going to pop out from.

"Yes Chloe." Sabrina rushed to her side with a small bow.

"Where are those papers gone?" She screeched, still looking through the draw.

"I'll find them." Sabrina peeped, taking over from the search.

"Chloe, I really don't have time to..."

Before Marinette could continue the blonde cut her off. "It won't take long." She stated with a wave of her hand.

"Found them." Sabrina waved a few pages of paper in the air.

Chloe snached them off her and walked over to her couch, mentioning for Marinette to sit on the opposite side. "Now I need you to sign, here, here and here." The blonde spread the papers out on her coffee table and laid a pen on top.

"What is this for?" Marinette asked, scanning over the writing before looking back at Chloe.

"Just you know... claiming I have all rights to the dresses you made and they will be transferred under my mother's name!" She stated and the bluenette raised a confused brow at her. "You will get paid for it of course! Gez I'm not that heartless!" Chloe rolled her eyes while checking her nails.

"I... I don't know..." Marinette mumbled, her pen hovering over the first page.

"All credit will still go to you but as an employee of my mother's line." She explained, hoping that would prompt her to sign the papers. "Its a good deal and that way your name will be noticed."

Marinette looked back down at the page, scanning again over the writing. It was a good deal, this way she would be able to support herself until she got back on her feet and not rely on Luka.

"I thought you couldn't stay long." Chloe interrupted her thoughts, making Marinette glance up at her.

Without a second thought or reading through it properly, the bluenette signed all three documents and placed down the pen. Chloe immediately grabbed the papers off the coffee table and placed them together before putting it under her arm and getting up.

Marinette shortly followed, a bit unsure in why the blonde was smiling so wide. "A pleasure doing business with you Miss Dupain-Cheng."

She outstretched her hand, waiting for the bluenette to take it. Marinette complied, furrowing her brows has her hand was gripped tightly in Chloe's clutches.

She was starting to regret ever putting that pen to paper.
