Mandy looked stunning, even from this distance Jason could tell. Large sunglasses covered much of her face and she was wearing a wide brimmed sun hat, she lifted the shades from her face and smiled as the large man, built like a bear, descended the steps of his private jet. His size might have screamed "the muscle" but his suit clearly said "the boss"

He smiled a wide grin, not even trying to hide the appreciative look up and down he gave Mandy in her white figure hugging sun dress.

He was still smiling when he approached her and scooped her into a bear hug, he stepped back and was happily declaring something in typical Italian manner, gesturing with his hands and whatever he said made Mandy laugh. Well… it made Eva laugh, Jason knew that Mandy found nothing about this man funny.

They looked quite the power couple, Mandy in her white sundress and sun hat with wedge heels. Manny in his crisp white linen suit. Manny walked closer to her than Jason would have liked, his hand on the small of her back.

He felt Ray stir next to him. "Alright boss?" He was seeing what Jason was seeing too.

"I'm fine" he lied, privately trying to keep his anger in check.

Davis voice came over the radio "we're outside the airport gates on the side road ready to follow when they exit"

"Copy. They're coming your way now." Jason replies as they both disappear inside a town car. "We'll follow further back, and await directions"

Jason and Ray collected together their things from the window of an building that overlooked the airstrip and moved fast down the 2 flights of stairs to their vehicle at the back as soon as the coast was clear.

Manny was reminiscing with Eva about the good old days in Italy, he was laughing as he told a story to Ruiz in English with a strong Italian accent "this guy was trying it on with Eva here, wouldn't leave her alone all night, so later he starts brandishing his gun around like he was the boss saying to her 'I know where I'd like to stick my piece' and before any of my guys even get a chance to do anything she's pulled her own gun from a holster under her dress, has pushed him face first against a wall and has her gun pushed up against his ass saying "I know where I'd like to stick my piece too…How do you like it?'…. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in all my life"

Ruiz is now throwing his head back laughing. "Nothing about this surprises me about Eva but it is still very funny!" The three of them clink shot glasses "to unusual and profitable friendships" Manny toasts as two of them neck the contents of their glasses and Mandy discreetly pretends to drink hers too while throwing the contents into the empty space by the wall behind her, suddenly glad that this one of Ruiz's bars was the dark sticky-floored club variety and not the upmarket type that would notice so much spillage.

Outside the bar Jason and Davis are in the van listening in. Davis had snuck a listening device to Mandy the day before in the marketplace that she'd hidden into the lining of her bag. So far it was giving them pretty clear audio. Ray and Sonny had taken up spots inside this time, they'd not been in before and wouldn't draw eyes. Plus Davis had privately suggested that Jason's poker face wasn't the best when it came to Mandy, and him scowling across the bar would look suspicious. Even Jason had to agree with her logic.

So Jason was relegated to the van listening instead.

Davis was laughing "You gotta admit that's a funny story… even undercover Mandy is a bad-ass"

Jason managed a small smile "That she is, has a habit of getting herself in deeper than she should though"

"But this time we have her back" Davis reminds him

Jason just nods his head. Privately he's going over the plan in his head making sure all the pieces fit.

Davis reads his mind "We can trust our contacts here… and the European agents, they'll all play along, make it look like Eva is arrested just like them and deported to face charges abroad."

Jason nods again "Yeah I trust the ones we've met, it's the ones we haven't, there's a lot of bribery here. And I'd be a lot more comfortable if Mandy was getting back on a plane home with us after… feels too much like West Africa, leaving her, even as a pretend captive for I don't know how long…. Then to face the collateral and debrief on her own"

"I know it's not ideal boss, but at least she's got some back-up this time, we know where she is, she's got people looking out for her best interests and making sure she comes home safe."

Jason smiles back appreciating her trying to calm his nerves.
