Notes: For Flufftober - "Oh no, You're a Morning Person"

Too Perfect

Kasidy woke up slowly. Morning was... never her favorite time of day, though give her a raktajino or an espresso or... the Bajorans had a drink that wasn't too bad at waking her up, but she heard it called different names every time so Kasidy wasn't quite sure if they were all the same thing with different regional names or a bunch of really similar tasting drinks. But give her a morning coffee or coffee substitute and Kasidy could handle anything the morning could throw at her.

Including the fact that any time of morning was too damn early.

It takes a few moments for her brain to process that someone has their arms around her shoulders, spooned up against her back. And a few more minutes for her sleepy brain to realize it was Ben. Her boyfriend. Benjamin Sisko, a Starfleet commander. Specifically commander of the station her ship was docked at for the moment, a regular stop on her route.

A very, very handsome man.

And his bed was surprisingly comfortable. Kasidy doesn't have to work today. Maybe she can convince Ben to lay around with her for a few more hours. Lazy hours cuddling and snuggling.

Except something's wrong because Kasidy can feel Ben getting up.

"Nooo," Kasidy grumbled reaching for him and pouting as he chuckled softly. "Stay."

"It's the morning. Time for a fresh cooked breakfast - meal of champions. What do you say to an omelette? Peppers? Onion?" Ben kept listing out ingredients, as though waiting for any objections.

And, slowly, it starts to dawn on Kasidy what the secret problem with perfect Benjamin Sisko really is. She really should have seen this coming. Should have realized he was too good to be true.

Sitting up and pouting at him, Kasidy grumbled, "oh, no... you're a morning person, aren't you?"

"I'll get you a raktajino first," Ben promised.

"Make it extra strong," she grumbled, turning and flopping face first back into the pillows.
