Chibishipping (Kaiba Mokuba/Mutou Yugi)

. . .

"Aaand it looks like I win again, Mokuba-kun."

"Goddammit!"

Yugi laughed, quickly trying to hide it behind his hand and look serious.

"Mokuba-kun, you should be careful about your language," he said, but it was clear that he was trying hard not to laugh.

"Like anyone actually gives a shit what words I use," Mokuba said, tossing his cards onto the table. "But geez, Yugi, you're incredible—I can't get even a single move on you."

The sunlight filtered gently through the windows, caught up in pillars of dust between the shelves upon shelves of messily stored games, some of which Mokuba was pretty sure had been released about a hundred years ago, or had never actually be released at all. For real, he wouldn't be surprised to find a door to Narnia somewhere in the back of the Kame Game Shop.

Yugi gathered up his cards under his hands, shuffling them back together. His fingers flashed with quick, precise movements, both delicate and powerful all at once, and Mokuba was actually mesmerized for a moment to watch him shuffle. He set his cards back on the table.

"Want to go for another round?" he said. "Or are you done?"

"I'll beat you this time," Mokuba said, released from the mesmer of Yugi's shuffling so that he could go for his other cards.

Yugi laughed, and it seemed to meld into the deep dimness of the game shop until it faded into a soft, gentle echo around them. Mokuba dropped his eyes to his cards so that he wouldn't have to see Yugi's bright face.

"I'm gonna go first cause I keep losing," Mokuba announced. "I'm gonna summon Battle Ox in attack mode and set two cards."

Yugi considered his hand for a moment, chewing on his bottom lip as his eyes flicked back and forth across his cards. Mokuba tried not to look.

"It's a shame Seto-kun couldn't join us today," Yugi said, choosing his card and setting it face down defense position.

"Yeah, well he's trying real hard to conceal his raging romantic feelings," Mokuba said casually.

Yugi laughed, and Mokuba wasn't sure if Yugi thought he was joking or not. Probably not. Seto wasn't exactly subtlesometimes. Still, avoidance seemed to be his older brother's only form of dealing with emotions, so he kept making excuses not to join Yugi or his friends at any social events. They used to have casual duels at Kame Game Shop all the time after Yugi graduated, Mokuba had picked up a lot by watching them.

Seto had never managed to beat Yugi either, except for a handful of times. There was something about the way that Yugi used his deck that made it almost impossible to get around, even when you built specifically to counter him. It was like his deck was alive under his fingers, coming to his aid exactly when he needed it, and even without the holograms.

"Yugi," Yugi's mother's voice floated down from the stairs. "Could you come here a minute? I need some help moving these boxes."

"Ah, coming," Yugi called back. "Sorry, Mokuba-kun, I'll be right back."

"No worries, I'll just peek at all your face downs," Mokuba said.

Yugi laughed again, charging up the dust around them with yet more of the happy sound, and then turned to trot around the counter to the door that led up to his house. Mokuba tried not to stare too hard at him as he left—Yugi had gotten a lot taller in the past few years, and he had filled out. It was uncomfortable.

Mokuba dropped his eyes to his cards again, running one finger over the back of his set down card.

Big brother's not the only Kaiba with a crush on Mutou Yugi...he thought, trying to bite back his blush. Dammit.

. . .

A/N: Idk I like the idea of Mokuba having a little kid crush on Yugi and that's how he finds out he's into dudes. Yugi would of course gently reject Mokuba's feelings cause of the age difference but young crushes are cute. Next is Cherryshipping (Jonouchi x Amane).
