Just to clarify, this story is set in my AU, A New Dawn (Not written yet. Hopefully, I'll post more short stories set in it every now and then).

#Please remember to leave a review! I bask in them!#

Harry was staring at his blank Defence Against the Dark Arts essay, lost in thought. Who had the time to write about inferi anyway? He had more pressing matters.

It was Sirius' birthday tomorrow, and he didn't get him anything. What do you get a man who has the fortune that could buy the Malfoys three times over?

He smelt the flowery scent of his girlfriend before she plopped down next to him on the couch. "Why don't you write him a card?"

"I'm not good at writing. Also, I'm not twelve," he said moodily.

"I write them all the time, and I'm not twelve," she snapped.

"Sorry, I'm just frustrated," he pecked her on the cheeks, and she turned to kiss him on the lips, accepting his apology. "I love your cards, Gin, you know that. Especially the one where you compared my eyes to a -"

"How about that new book on human-to-animal transfiguration?" She suggested.

Harry just shook his head and threw his quill onto the parchment. "Mum and Dad already got him that. And the latest Beatles album. Marls got him a new motorcycle. Remus and Tonks got him an Auror-grade wand holster. I'm the only one who doesn't have a gift for him," he buried his face in her hair, and Ginny's arms came around his waist.

"You know, Sirius wouldn't mind if you don't get him a present, Harry," she said soothingly.

"Mhmm….," he grumbled, "I just want to get him something cool, you know? He got me those new seeker gloves, and we all went to the England vs Wales exhibition game."

They were silent for a moment before Ginny asked, "What do you think Sirius likes the most? Like, what always cheers him up?"

"I don't know…..He and Dad and Remus go out on full moon nights. That cheers him up. And then there's transfiguration. He really likes that. And motorcycles…uhhhh, this is so hard, Gin. He's already got all those. Dad and Marlene would know what to do. Maybe I'll call them," he sighed.

"That's an idea," she said. "Why don't we finish up our homework, and you can go call them." She got up and went over to fetch her homework from across the common room where Demelza, Heather and Jamila were sitting.

As Harry leaned over to reach for his quill, Hedwig dropped a magazine onto the table and swirled over his head before flying back through the open window, back to the Owlery.

"Thanks, girl."

He flipped through the pages, not knowing what to look for. Ginny sat back down next to him, and said, "Harry, Sirius always said that time spent with you is his favourite and that he'd rather be doing that than anything else. So, maybe you could get something that you could do together."

"That's a great idea, Gin! Hedwig gave me this," he pointed to the magazine in his lap. "I think I'll find whatever I'm looking for in here."

They scoured the book together and found an advert for leather jackets. Black leather jackets.

"This is perfect!" Harry exclaimed, and Ginny enthusiastically agreed, "You could wear them together and go for a motorcycle ride."

"You want us to get matching ones?"

"Of course! Sirius loves spending time with you, and I'm sure he would love it. Besides, you'll look so fucking hot in it," she grinned, her tongue wetting her lips.

Harry smirked at her and leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Hot, huh? Now I want to get you one too. You look ravishing in black."

She caught his bottom lip between hers, and Harry eagerly responded.

"Take it outside, the both of you, bloody hell," Ron shouted from across them, his voice teasing.

They broke apart and leaned their foreheads against each other. "I still think that you should write him a card, though," Ginny said through laboured breaths.

"Will you show me how, Miss Weasley?"

"I most certainly will, Mr Potter."
