Blockshipping (Honda Hiroto/Kaiba Mokuba)

. . .

The chimes jingled as the door swung open, letting a fresh breath of spring air filter through into the hot, grease-scented shop.

"Welcome—oh, Mokuba, hey there."

Honda stood up from behind the counter as he saw the mass of barely restrained black hair caught in a ponytail tie walk through the door. Mokuba was almost as tall as Honda now, and it was incredibly surreal to see him wearing Domino High's school uniform. Honda had asked him once why he had gone to Domino, when with his grades and his brother's influence he could have gone to any high school in the country. Mokuba had just shrugged. "Feels right," was all he would say about it.

Mokuba flashed him a grin and a thumb's up, tossing his backpack into the corner.

"You got in?" Honda said, feeling a grin grow over his face too.

"One hundred percent on the acceptance exam," Mokuba said, swinging over the counter like it was a vault. It was a special enough occasion so Honda didn't scold him for it today. He wiped off his hands on his rag and grabbed Mokuba's arm in a brief arm clasp, and then clapped him on the back.

"Congratulations! Tokyo Institute's a great catch!"

Mokuba was grinning so hard that his face was a little flushed—his mussed hair probably indicated that he had ran all the way down from the testing center after he had gotten the news.

"Thank you," he said, his eyes sparkling. "I don't think I would have passed that practical if you hadn't let me practice with you in here. Nii-san's machines are all too high tech, I knew I wouldn't see any of his circuits on the practical exam."

"Nah, you're a whiz with these machines, you would've done it," Honda said, waving him off. "But I'm glad I could help. You're gonna be all set for next year, huh?"

"I just wanna convince nii-san to let me get my license," Mokuba groaned. "No way am I showing up to school in the limo—high school is bad enough with that."

"He just worries," Honda said. He briefly ruffled Mokuba's hair in the way he hated, and grinned at Mokuba's puffed cheeks. "Come on, I just got this old Toyopet in from some guy who found it in a junkyard. Wanna help me open it up?"

That made Mokuba's face light up. He scrambled over to the tool shelf to get some gloves.

"First one to the car gets to open it," he said, darting past him.

"Cheating," Honda called back with a laugh. "I should report you to the testing authorities."

"Over my dead body!"

Honda laughed, and grabbed his own pair of gloves, making his way over into the garage where Mokuba was already excitedly looking over the car.

A/N: Idk, I just like the idea of Honda becoming another one of Mokuba's big bros haha. Next is Blindfoldshipping (Vivian x Panik).
