Blindfoldshipping (Vivian Wong/Panik)

. . .

She had dueled some creeps before, but this one probably took the cake. He was a big, hulking man that cast a long shadow over everything he stood by, his hair an untamed mess, his face blocky and leering. She couldn't tell if the marks under his eyes were scars or makeup. Either way, it was creepy.

Vivian flicked one of her long side bangs over her shoulder. At the very least, the man looked somewhat awkward in the middle of the day. It was like seeing the bogeyman standing awkwardly in the middle of Tokyo—it didn't belong. He was something that, despite his height and breadth, seemed to want to disappear into the shadows, far away from anyone that could see him.

He leered at her anyway. She made a mental note to find an excuse to kick him in the balls later.

"You won't be smiling for long after you've faced my darkness deck," the man said, raising his Duel Disk. Ah, right. She remembered him vaguely now. That guy who liked to play defensively and spook the shit out of people with his "darkness." Well, he wasn't sneaking up on her in an alley, he was in the middle of a dueling arena surrounded by hundreds of people, so it wasn't super scary.

"Darkness? I don't really mind it all that much," she quipped. "I could do this match blindfolded and I don't think I'd be very bothered."

The man's face fell only a little, but it was enough to satisfy her. She was already winning the mind games.

"Well," she said, sweeping her hair back over her shoulders again. "Shall we duel?"

A/N: I'm so exhausted by this project. Next is Blindshipping (Atem x Yugi).
