I could only stare with my mouth agape as Cooler gave me a polite smile, one that I could only imagine hid many cruel plans of destruction and conquest. I then saw Gine and Bardock come out of the kitchen holding a few plates of food.

"Ah! Orion, Raditz! Perfect timing you two! As you can see, we have a very important guest here." Gine told us as she sat the food down and walked towards us, before pulling us close and looking at us with a look that could easily kill more people than Frieza ever could. "So please try to be civil. I've already discussed it with your father." Out of a mixture of fear and pity, I stole a glance at Bardock, who seemed to be giving me and Raditz a similar look. I then looked at Raditz before we both looked at our parents and nodded. Either Cooler was going to kill us all, or Gine would.

"Lord Cooler, these are our sons that we were talking about. The eldest one is Orion, and the younger one is Raditz. Kids, you both know about Lord Cold's eldest son and Lord Frieza's older brother, Lord Cooler, correct?" Bardock asked us with a serious look.

"Yes, Father." I said politely. "If I may be so bold, why is someone of such power and prestige as Lord Cooler here about to dine with us?" I tried asking in a way that wouldn't upset anyone. Cooler chuckled before taking a sip of his drink.

"My compliments to the chef. This is absolutely delightful." Cooler said to my mother before turning to me. "And to answer your question, the reason why I'm here is because I'm interested in gaining new recruits, and the Saiyans seemed like the perfect race to start. Not only that, but when I arrived here, I heard rumors of a silver eyed Saiyan with white in his hair that has trained himself into the ground from the moment he was able to walk and throw a punch. I was interested in this Saiyan, so I decided to try and find him. I didn't think he was someone so young and already this strong. You're on par with some of the trained warriors I saw on my way here. Truly impressive. Saiyans like you only appear once in a while, like your father here." Cooler told me. I was now confused. Cooler just told me a lot, but not once had he called Saiyans 'monkeys'. Not only that, he seems truly impressed with me, despite me being nothing compared to him. I guess Cooler isn't nearly as prideful or discriminatory as Frieza or Cold are, though this could just be an act.

"Not to argue with you, Lord Cooler, but I don't think I'm all that impressive. My father, other Saiyans, and especially you and your family completely outclass me by lightyears. I'm only hoping I can be useful to you all." I said honestly. Cooler gave me a curious glance before giving me another smile.

"Humble too. Most Saiyans would never give up the chance to bask in praise, especially if it came from someone from my family." Cooler noted before turning to my parents. "I believe I have made my decision. Your son, Orion, has piqued my interest. I would like him to join my squadron. I believe this is alright with you, since I do know he has yet to be assigned to a specific team, correct? I will come back in, hmm...let's say a year. That should give little Orion here enough time to get strong enough to handle being on my crew. I believe he will be a great asset to me, and perhaps he'll learn a thing or two while working for me. He'll most certainly get stronger. What do you say, young man? Would you like to join the Cooler Force?" My entire family was stunned. Lord Cooler himself specifically asked for me to join his team. This was most certainly a surprise, but a welcomed one at that. There was only one answer to give in this situation.

"Of course Lord Cooler. I would be honored to accept this invitation." I said calmly, despite me yelling from the terror and excitement the offer gave me.

"Wonderful. I must take my leave now. Thank you again for serving me while I was here." Cooler told Gine.

"O-Of course Lord Cooler! I know Orion will be of great use to you! Thank you for coming here and considering our son!" Gine said gratefully, bowing towards the conqueror. Bardock nods and does the same thing.

"Yes. It means a lot to us that our son has made such a good impression on you. I know he won't disappoint you."

"Yes. I look forward to seeing what Orion is capable of." Cooler said as he got up from his seat and walked towards the exit. Before leaving, he turned around and looked at Raditz, who looked at him with an awe filled fear and admiration. "Your name is Raditz, yes? You may be younger and weaker than Orion, but I also expect great things from you as well. Maybe if you get stronger, I'll consider adding you to my crew as well, or perhaps your king or even my brother might take a liking to you. Hm hm hm... I hope you all have a lovely rest of the day." With that, the force of nature known as Cooler left the home, and we all collectively gave a massive sigh of relief.

"Ok. Did anyone else feel as though they were going to have a heart attack from that?" I asked genuinely. Raditz and Gine both looked at me and nodded. Meanwhile, Bardock moves over to me and lifts me up into a hug while rubbing my head.

"Look at my son, impressing Lord Cooler by himself. I'm so proud of you! You too Raditz. Lord Cooler saw potential in you as well. That's my boys!" Bardock exclaimed with pride.

"I guess this means I'll be leaving the planet in a year." I said with a hint of sadness in my voice. This was the perfect opportunity I wanted to get off the planet, but that meant that my time with my family was very limited at best. Goku hasn't even been born yet, but it feels as though the end is incredibly near. Gine walked over to me and caressed my cheek with a loving touch.

"Don't be sad Orion. We'll always be here in case you ever need a home to come back to." My mother told me, unaware of the impending disaster that would befall them. I felt my heart sting at her caring words. I so desperately wanted to convince them to all leave with me right now for earth, but I knew that wouldn't work. Bardock would be determined to stop the attempt, and Gine would trust in him completely. I pushed those thoughts away for a bit and gave the best smile I could muster.

"Y-Yeah. I know that." I told her. She gave me a smile before pulling me into her own hug.

"I'm so proud of you, you know that? You and Raditz both." Gine then pulled Raditz into the hug as well as she said this. Both Raditz and I just let it happen, as we both knew how Gine could get.

"You'll have to train extra hard now, Orion. I'll help you as much as I can, but it'll be up to you to get strong enough to be on Lord Cooler's squadron." Bardock told me. I nodded with a determined look.

"You and Lord Cooler will see just how strong I can get in just a year." I told them. We talked for a bit longer about what would happen in the coming year before we all headed off to bed. I laid in my bed thinking about what had happened today. Cooler's existence could change a lot potentially, but this gives me many different opportunities. Cooler was right about me being able to learn many different things while working for him. Not only that, but the mission will definitely be a great source of growing my power. I wonder what will happen in the future. Honestly, I can't wait to see what's in store.

Some time has passed, and there's only a few weeks left before Cooler comes back to pick me up. I am now 7 years old, and I have gotten my power level up to 1,200. I'm now almost as strong as Raditz was during the Saiyan Saga, which I don't know if that's deserving of praise or just proof of how weak Raditz was overall in the canon. Hopefully that won't be the case now, since Raditz has grown a lot stronger as well, reaching a power level of almost 700, since he had taken my words to heart and began doing intense training with me. This included trying to block each other's ki blast as well as sparring until one of us drops, or both of us sometimes. In truth, the past year has been fairly productive. Not only that, a day I was worried about had come during this time.

"Mom, I'm home." I said loudly as I entered the house after training for the day. As usual, bruises and scratches were on my body and armor, but I still had my stupid smile on my face.

"Welcome back!" I heard my mother call out from the kitchen. "Orion, could you be a dear and check to see how Kakarot is doing?"

"Sure mom!" I shouted back before heading to the incubation pod. Inside the pod, I saw the future protagonist and savior of the universe, who was now my baby brother. Goku. To be honest, I was worried I was going to slip and call him 'Goku' before I left, but somehow 'Kakarot' seems more natural to me now. Guess I've gotten used to Saiyan names. Either way, Kakarot was there sleeping in the pod, completely in oblivious bliss about the destruction his birth signified was coming soon. I couldn't help but sigh. "You're going to be a real pain in the ass for a bunch of people, you know? At least do us the favor of remembering us when you get to earth." I whispered to my brother, though I knew he wouldn't hear nor understand. I couldn't help but smile before I left to see my mother in the kitchen. "Do you need help with that?" I asked her.

"I'm alright, Orion. But maybe you can go pick up Raditz. He's going on a mission soon and I want to make sure he's prepared. I also made him a meal before he goes." I nodded to her before heading out. Raditz was assigned a team and was about to go on his first mission. Of course, his abilities allowed him to be put on prince Vegeta's team, which shocked most people except me. I bet he's really nervous about the whole thing. I suppose one last 'older brother pep talk' would do him good before I see him again in 24 years. I found Raditz in a different part of the wasteland than where I usually trained. The strangest thing about this was how he wasn't alone. A certain small and angry Saiyan prince was here as well sparring with Raditz. I watched as Raditz and the prince duke it out. Raditz, surprisingly, was able to hold his own and was doing fairly well. Well, as well enough against someone like Vegeta. Vegeta was completely ruthless. If Kakarot was just born, then he must be around 5 years old, like Raditz, yet his power was already getting close to Bardock's. I didn't use my scouter (since power levels, despite being a nice tool right now to gauge my power, are still a complete joke), but even without it I could tell his power level exceeded even mine and was around a couple thousand, maybe 3-5,000. After managing to block a few attacks, Raditz gets knocked away, completely beaten up and exhausted. He tried to get up, but it seemed like he couldn't move, so I walked over to him with a grin.

"Wow, little bro, that was quite the match." I said as I looked down at him.

"Brother? What are you doing here?" Raditz asked me, happy to see me despite his beaten state.

"Mom wanted you to eat before you left, so I'm here to pick you up." I told him, which made him smile. The mention of food also seemed to pick him up, as he jumped to his feet and seemed just about ready to fly back home at mach speeds.

"And who exactly are you? Did I hear correctly, or did Raditz just call you brother?" I heard Vegeta ask me as he walked towards me. Just at a glance I could tell he was sizing me up. This guy is always looking for a fight, huh?

"Forgive me for my late introductions, Prince Vegeta. I am the eldest son of Bardock and Gine and Raditz's older brother, Orion. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." Vegeta smirks as soon as he hears my name.

"Orion? Hmm...now that I look at you, you must be that silver eyed Saiyan who has white in his hair I've been hearing about. If memory serves, you're also about to go off with the Cooler Force." Vegeta said, now looking at me with morbid curiosity.

"That is correct Prince Vegeta. In fact, I will be leaving the planet in a few days."

"Then perhaps you and I can show Raditz what a real sparring match is." Vegeta told me while getting into a fighting stance. I sighed and shook my head.

"I don't see what good fighting me would do for you. You can probably tell I'm not as strong as you." I told him. Before I could say anything else, Vegeta rushed at me and tried to punch me, though I blocked his attack.

"You say that, but Cooler was able to see potential in you, so you must be something worthwhile, even if you're just a low class warrior." Vegeta said, smiling as the fight began.

"If you say so..." I said as I grabbed his fist and threw him into a pillar, shattering it completely. "If we're going to fight I won't hold back." Vegeta got up and smiled, rushing at me once again before we exchanged multiple blows to each other. After dodging a few of his attacks and kicking him away, I saw him put both his hands near his head as dark purple energy surged around him. "Oh crap baskets...!" I muttered as I saw it, knowing what this was.

"Galick Gun!" Vegeta shouted as he shot the energy blast at me. The blast moved across the desert, tearing it up as it traveled towards me. I couldn't dodge it, so I did the only thing I could. I raised my right hand and focused my ki.

"Saturn's Shield!" I shouted as ki in the form of a star appeared before multiple layers of the circular shield formed in front of it. In total, there were 5 strong layers in total. As soon as the Galick Gun hit, sparks of ki from the blast and shield flew everywhere. The first layer broke almost immediately. The second and third layers held on for longer, but still gave way eventually. Once the fourth layer broke, that's when I started to really worry. But just as I began seeing cracks in the fifth layer, the blast died down. "Oh thank god..." I muttered as I let the shield dissipate. Vegeta appeared to be pretty winded after using his signature attack.

"How did you not take any damage from that!?" He shouted in a mixture of confusion and anger.

"My technique. I used my ki to make a thick 5 layer shield that somehow managed to completely block the attack. You broke 4 layers and almost broke the fifth. If anything, I would say that it was a mixture of luck and timing. Now then, my turn." I told him as I formed multiple orbs around my body, using a lot more ki than I normally would. "Comet Barrage!" I shouted as I sent the orbs after the prince. Now drained from his attack, he had trouble dodging the attack and couldn't even attempt a counter attack. A few of the orbs hit him, but he was managing to dodge well for someone drained. That was until the orbs combined together for the final blast. He only barely dodged the final blast. He panted after dodging it, only to hear me speak once more. "Jupiter Breaker!" Before he could react, I slammed both of my fists which were enhanced with ki down onto his head, sending him down into the ground with a loud thud. Jupiter Breaker. A new move that has ki enhances whatever limbs I want for stronger attacks. It wasn't too hard to master despite being relatively new in my arsenal. I floated down and saw Vegeta pull himself out of the crater he made.

"Not as strong as me, my ass! You destroyed me while my attacks did nothing to you!" Vegeta said, looking at me with confusion, rage, and admiration.

"I beat you because you're green." I explained.

"Uhh... you mean like-"

"No not literally. I mean you're a novice. You have all this power yet you haven't learned to use it in practical ways. That attack of yours, the Galick Gun was very powerful and would have put me down if it had hit, but since I had defenses that were able to withstand it, you were left drained. If you didn't use all your energy with that attack, you would have probably won. I won because I managed my ki properly and made use of what I've learned." I walked over to the prince and extended my hand to him. "Don't worry about the loss right now. You'll grow into an experienced fighter. At that point, I doubt I'll be able to keep up with you, let alone beat you." Vegeta looked at me with a raised eyebrow before smiling at me and taking my hand for me to help him up.

"You're pretty good yourself, Orion. I bet Cooler will make great use of you if you're able to take down others stronger than you like this. Not to mention you'll probably grow stronger too. So next time we meet," Vegeta pointed at me before pointing to himself. "We'll have another fight, and that time I'll win. I'll show you just how strong I have become. You better not hold back when that happens!" I smiled while nodding.

"Of course. I hope that you won't hold back either." I told him. I didn't expect to bond with the Saiyan Prince right before I left, but I suppose this isn't too bad. I then turned to Raditz. "Make sure to take care of the prince while you're gone. I can tell that he's a bit reckless. Make sure you grow stronger like him too." I quietly told him. He nodded to me before he and Vegeta flew off towards our house. I watched them a bit before I followed.

A few days later, Raditz and Vegeta left the planet for their mission. A few days later, the day finally came. The day Cooler would come and formally recruit me into his squadron. I was a little nervous. I didn't really know what Cooler was planning or what he was going to do to me, not to mention I didn't know what would happen once I left with him. There will be 24 years until Dragon Ball Z starts, meaning I'll be working for Cooler for all that time. It'll probably be a time full of just conquering planets and subjecting people. I didn't know how to feel about it. Not to mention, once I leave, I'll probably never see my mother or father again. They're going to die along with the Saiyan race and the planet. I could immediately go to earth to try and revive them, but not only would Cooler not allow me out of his clutches, but bringing the Saiyans back could mess up the timeline in an irreversible way. Not to mention groups of people can only be brought back before a year passes after their death, meaning bringing the entire Saiyan race is impossible anyway. There are too many risks. Still, it doesn't change the fact that I love this new family of mine and would do anything to make sure they're ok in the end. Maybe I can-.

"Orion. Are you ready to go?" I turned to see Gine standing outside my door.

"Yeah. Yeah I am." I said with a melancholic voice. Gine frowned at this and entered the room and crouched down to my eye level.

"Are you sad that you won't see us for a while?" Gine asked. I frowned at that, since she wasn't technically wrong.

"You could say that..." I admitted. Screw Saiyan pride right now. My parents are going to die, and I can't do anything about it.

"You shouldn't be sad. You're going off on your own little adventures now. You should be proud that you've made it this far. I know you'll make us proud." Gine told me. I looked at her, her loving onyx eyes looking back at me with a smile.

"She's right, Orion." Bardock then said as he entered the room and got down to my level. "You, Raditz, and even Kakarot have made us so proud. I wouldn't have had any other children. I know you'll do great things son." I couldn't take it anymore. I felt the tears fall from my face as I embraced both of them. They both looked shocked, since this was the first time I had cried in front of them. Even as a baby I had never cried. I didn't care this time.

"I-I-I'm sorry." I told them in between sobs. "I-I just... I don't want to lose you both!"

"Lose us both? You're just going off to do missions with Lord Cooler. You're not losing us." Gine told me with a confused look. Bardock on the other hand, looked a bit more serious as he cocked his eyebrows at my statement. He looked like he had just gotten an epiphany and was putting the puzzle pieces together.

"Son, what do you mean by losing us?" Bardock asked me.

"I...I can't really explain it. I just...have this feeling that once I leave I'll never see you again. I don't...I don't think I would be able to bear it if anything were to happen to either of you." I told him. His expression softened as he patted my head.

"You too, huh?" I heard him whisper to himself. That's right. Bardock gets like premonitions or a sixth sense about the Saiyan's destruction before it happens. He probably feels it right now. How death is about to come for him and the other Saiyans. He looks me in the eyes before giving me a reassuring smile. "Listen here son. I won't let anything happen to our home, your brother, myself, and especially your mother. I promise you with my life that if anything were to happen, I would protect our family no matter what." I knew he meant what he said, considering what he does when he hears about Frieza's plan. "Just promise me one thing, Orion. Promise that you'll be there for your brothers if something were to happen to us."

"But-"

"Promise me. Nothing is going to happen to us, but I need you to promise this to me right now." I felt my lips tremble as I spoke next.

"I-I... I promise..."

"Good. Now then, wipe away those tears. You have a job now. You're an adult now. My son..." He said, looking at me with pride. I hugged the both of them one last time. I'm going to miss this. Being their son. Being a part of this family. Once I leave, I'll probably never get it back.

I packed my things, at least what little I had that I needed or wanted, and headed out to the docking area. As I got there, I could see Cooler's ship just setting down. I flew over near the ship and waited as the doors opened, revealing Cooler and his main minions, Salza, Neiz, and Dore. Cooler saw me and smirked.

"Already eager to leave, are we? I'm glad you're already showing such dedication." Cooler said, almost jokingly. Cooler and his men led me onto the ship, giving me a small tour while the ship took off once more. After getting a feel for the ship's layout, Cooler had Salza lead me to my new room, which was surprisingly nice. Salza left me, leaving me to get situated with the room. My room had a window, which allowed me to look at planet Vegeta one last time.

"I'm sorry..." I found myself saying. Of course, no one could hear me, and know one would ever know.

The next day, Cooler asked to see me. He took me to a wide open area of the ship for some reason before finally explaining to me what he wanted. "You see, Orion, I can tell you've gotten stronger in the past year. I would like to...test your strength."

"Umm... the implications of 'test' being-" I began to ask with a nervous tone, but before I could finish, Cooler had vanished and appeared right in front of me, ready to gut punch me. On instinct, I formed a small Saturn's Shield to block my gut. Since the shield was smaller, I was able to make it thicker with an extra layer than when I used it to block the large Galick Gun. Despite this, Cooler immediately broke through each layer. With no other option, I used my arms to block the punch, which sent me flying as soon as it connected. Holy crap! How is he this strong!? He's even holding back by a large margin! I can tell, since if he was using even a fourth of his power, I'm sure that I wouldn't be conscious at best.

"I'm impressed. Using your energy to create a multi-layered shield is smart. Unfortunately that won't protect you from my attacks." Cooler said with a smile.

"Yeah... I figured..." I said as I slowly got up. I have to be aggressive if I even have a chance to do damage to him. I quickly formed Comet Barrage and shot them at Cooler before rushing in myself. Cooler seemed to play along with my feeble attempt to attack him, as he started to dodge the orbs instead of just taking them head on or knocking them away. While he dodged, I used Jupiter Breaker to enhance my arms and began to throw multiple punches at him in tangent with the Comet Barrage. He seemed impressed, though none of the attacks connected. I tried to hit him with another punch, but he caught it.

"What will you do now?" He asked with a cocky smile. Little did he know, this is exactly what I wanted to happen. While he was distracted with me, he didn't notice the Comet Barrage combine for the final attack. The blast hit him in the back, which surprised him enough for me to break out of his grip and punch him in the gut with Jupiter Breaker. He was taken aback, and I foolishly thought that I had a chance against him. Of course he quickly proved me wrong. "Not bad, however, not good enough!" He said before kneeing me in the gut and knocking me away with his tail. He hit me hard enough that I thought I heard a couple of snaps come from my ribs. I think I blacked out for a few seconds too before I was able to come back to my senses. Once I had fully grasped what had happened, I slowly got up and saw Cooler in a battle stance, prepared to take me on still. I gave a weak laugh as I got in a stance as well.

"Alright. I can do this all day." I said, completely bluffing as I couldn't feel my legs anymore. Cooler and I stood there in silence for a bit before Cooler began to laugh.

"You truly are something else, aren't you?" Cooler said once he had stopped laughing. "Despite being completely outclassed, you managed to do some damage to me. Even if it wasn't even enough to leave a scratch, I find it impressive how you managed to handle me as you did. Not only that, but you're still willing to fight this losing battle, refusing to give up and submit. You'll certainly be useful, especially after some more training."

"Training?" I asked.

"Yes. I believe Salza will be a good teacher for you. You seem to already have a good understanding of how to act on the field, so all we need to do is get you to a higher battle power that you can handle stronger foes. With your tenacity and ingenuity, you might even become one of my captains." Cooler told me before he started to leave. "You should go to your room for now. As a welcome gift, I have sent your new uniform and scouter to your room. I hope you enjoy it." With that he left. I felt myself give a sigh of relief once he was gone and went to my room. Sure enough, my new Cooler Force uniform as well as a state of the art scouter were there waiting for me. I wasn't sure how I felt about the uniform and how it looked, but hey, a job's a job. Before anything else, I examined my body to see if anything was broken. Despite feeling like my ribs were destroyed, they were only sore or at least cracked a bit, but not broken somehow. I'll just need to rest for maybe a day before I feel better. I guess Cooler is going to have me train so that I can pull my weight on the force. I suppose that isn't so bad. I need more strength after all. With that in mind, I spent the rest of the day relaxing and getting used to the new lifestyle.

During the next few days, Cooler did as he said and had me train under his captain Salza. I learned a lot during these few days, and I definitely got stronger, since every time I got destroyed by Salza in training. Luckily, my Saiyan biology helped me catch up quickly. I even learned how to do my own version of Salza's ki blade attack. I can't help but laugh at the name ki blade, since it reminds me of one of my favorite games back in my old world, so I called my version 'Sword of Mars'. My blade was different from Salza's since his was a flat energy blade that came from his hand, while mine was more cylindrical and started from my forearm, with the end being more pointed together instead of curved. I could even spiral the blade since it was made of my ki, making it like a drill sword. I knew I could do a lot with this attack, so I was really happy to have learned it.

During one of those training matches, me and Salza were sparring, as usual, though this time I was able to hold my own and give Salza a proper match this time. However, just before it could get really good, Cooler entered and interrupted us. "Orion, I have received a message that I believe you would like to hear about. It concerns you." I nodded and flew down to Cooler.

"What is it, Lord Cooler?"

"I received a message from my brother, Frieza. He has ordered all the Saiyans to come back to planet Vegeta for some urgent reason that he didn't give." He told me with a hint of venom in his voice at mentioning Frieza. I frowned at that. I knew what that was. I guess we're moments away from the destruction.

"I see. What do you think I should do then?" I asked Cooler.

"I couldn't care less what you or my brother do. You can go if you wish, or you can stay. I don't really give a damn if that pisses my brother off." Cooler scoffs, seeming upset just at mentioning his brother. He really doesn't like Frieza, I guess.

"If that's the case, I'll pretend I never got the message. I couldn't care what Lord Frieza wanted with me and the other Saiyans. Not only that, I have a horrible feeling about what he could want. Besides, I have to train more so that I can help the Cooler Force with their missions." I said. I saw Cooler nod before smirking.

"I see. It is of no consequence for me. That was all I had to say. You may continue with your sparring match." Cooler said before leaving. I thought that would be the end of it, but of course, it's never that simple. Later that day, Cooler called me and the other members of the force to come to the bridge. There, we saw it happen. Planet Vegeta's destruction. I couldn't bear to watch it anymore, so I averted my eyes to the side.

"How barbaric. So that's why my brother called all the Saiyans back. I suppose your feeling of dread was well placed, Orion. If you had left, I would have lost a valuable asset." Cooler said as he watched the destruction from his floating seat.

"Lord Cooler, look!" Salza said as he enhanced the image. Once he did, we all saw what looked like a Saiyan pod traveling away from the planet. "It appears a Saiyan has escaped the destruction! Should we target the pod and shoot it down?" I didn't respond, knowing it wasn't my place, but I knew that had to be Kakarot's pod. If Cooler does decide to shoot it down, I'll have to buy Kakarot time so that he can escape their firing range. Something unexpected happened, however.

"Hmm... Orion. You're a Saiyan. What are your thoughts about this situation?" Cooler asked me. I thought about it before answering truthfully.

"I would be lying if I didn't feel resentment towards Frieza right now because of what he has done, but I will answer this without considering my feelings. I believe that Frieza is a fool for destroying the Saiyans only to allow a few to escape the destruction. I know that my brothers and the prince have survived Frieza's attack, as none of us were on the planet. I bet the prince, along with my brother, would have ignored the call back as well. This means that Frieza missed more than at least 4 Saiyans. Instead of making sure all the Saiyan's are dead, he is gloating from what he has done. The only word I can use to describe it is foolish."

"I have to agree. If he is going to beg and complain to our father for control of the universe and then pull this sort of stunt to prevent a dangerous uprising, then he had better take care of his problems himself. If this is going to bite him later on, that's his fault for being too soft and foolish to not do a proper job." Cooler than added his opinion. "Ignore the pod. If Frieza isn't going to handle it, it is not our job to handle it for him." Salza nodded and turned off the targeting system. "I have to say, I do wonder what caused Frieza to destroy the Saiyans now. I know the Saiyans didn't exactly like our family, nor did we particularly like them. Most of the Saiyans I've met were nothing more than monkeys, worthless peons that only existed to be crushed under foot. Despite this, among all those monkeys, many useful and even impressive Saiyan warriors came from this race. I wonder why Frieza would throw that away."

"I believe I have a theory about that." I told him.

"Then by all means, please share."

"I believe Frieza is afraid of a Saiyan's potential. While no Saiyan right now could ever hope to even get around Frieza's level of power, I believe he is afraid of what would happen if we did. The Saiyans are a race composed of warriors after all. Not only that, but we Saiyans have a legend. The legend of the Super Saiyan, a Saiyan with incredible powers. I believe he fears the legend and what might happen if a super Saiyan were to appear."

"So he got rid of the threat all together. That would explain it. If that's the case, then my brother is even more foolish than I thought, destroying a useful asset like the Saiyans because of a myth." Cooler scoffed. He turned to me with a curious look. "Perhaps recruiting you was even more fortunate than I thought. Imagine if you turned out to be the Super Saiyan." Cooler said with an amused look.

"Maybe. If I train hard enough, maybe I could turn out to be a super saiyan." I said, not really caring about if I became a super saiyan at the moment. I have other things to worry about. "I believe we are done here. There is no more reason for us to stay here and watch the fireworks."

"You are correct. And with your strength now, I believe we can continue with our conquest. Let us be on our way." Cooler told us as the ship began to leave the sector. We were dismissed and allowed to go back to our rooms. Once I was in my room, I collapsed into my bed, and let the tears flow freely. I don't know if I'll ever get over this. And thus, the end of the Saiyans happened, and I was forced to continue with this life of mine.
