After traveling for a couple of days, I finally saw it. The beautiful world I had missed for these last 31 years. Earth, still as wonderful as I could remember. The cruiser entered into the atmosphere and landed somewhere in what seemed to be a forest. I got out of the cruiser and looked around. Well, at least there isn't a farmer with a shotgun here to try to shoot me. I couldn't help but smile at the familiar scenery. Still beautiful, just like how I remember. The calm wind rustling the leaves, a blue sky with white clouds, and a gravity that was 10x less than what I was used to really sealed the deal that I was back on Earth. Man, I've missed this place. I flew above the luscious trees of the forest and looked around. It appears I landed near West City, if the giant Capsule Corp Building is anything to note of. Seriously though, how do you get an advanced human society with overall better sci-fi tech than my world but only be able to name some cities West City or South city.

I shake my head as I return to what I needed to do. I normally would search for strong energy sources by feeling them out, but I don't believe I have time for that, so I turned on my scouter and activated it. "Let's see... Got a hit. 322? That's Piccolo, probably. Let's search again and-Holy Shit! 2,500!? Is that Raditz!? I thought he would be 1,600. I guess he took my advice and got much stronger as a result. This could be a problem..." I muttered to myself as I flew off in the direction of Raditz's reading. I flew off as fast as I could. If I don't get there in time, I might miss them. I flew across the ocean and after a few more minutes, I finally had the familiar pink island home, Kame House in my sights. Perfect. Time to make a good first impression. I flew in while doing a flip, landing in a super hero pose. Hard on those knees for normal super heroes, but not me. God I'm so glad I was able to do that.

"What the-!? Another one!?" I heard the bald human, Krillin, say as soon as I landed. I got up and looked around. There's Krillin, Bulma, Master Roshi, Turtle, and Goku and Raditz. I can't help but smile when I see them, all grown up.

"What do you know? Look at you two! You grew up a lot!" I exclaimed, honestly shocked at their growth despite knowing what they would look like beforehand. Goku, or Kakarot rather, got into a defensive pose as he turned to me.

"And who are you? Another one of those Saiyans, right? You got a tail just like this guy who claims he is my brother." He asked me. I raised my arms in a defensive manner in an attempt to calm him down.

"Woah, calm down, baby bro. I'm not here to fight you." I said while turning off my scouter. I didn't need it anymore, and Cooler and the others don't need to listen in on my family reunion.

"Brother!? You're my brother too?" Goku exclaimed while pointing at me.

"Yeah. My name's Orion. I guess you got amnesia after you arrived on this planet and that's why you don't remember us." I sighed. "Well, I guess you were a baby, so the likelihood of you remembering us was low to begin with. That doesn't change the fact that you're our brother. I've missed you Kakarot. Wait, sorry. You probably have an earthling name now. If you don't mind me asking, what do you go by now?" Goku looked at me with a raised eyebrow, though compared to earlier, his expression seems to have softened significantly.

"My name is Son Goku. I'm not exactly sure about all this Saiyan stuff, but I know I'm not like you. I don't want to have anything to do with whatever you all are planning."

"Kakarot you fool! Where did your Saiyan pride go!?" Raditz asked angrily. "You're a Saiyan Warrior! You were supposed to destroy this planet along with its inhabitants! Yet here you are wallowing away like trash!"

"And what's that supposed to mean, Raditz." I asked him, anger visible in my voice.

"Brother, don't tell me you approve of Kakarot ignoring his duty like this." Raditz looked at me, hoping I would join him in chastising Goku. I wasn't having any of that.

"And why do you think he was sent here to destroy earth?" I asked him with a raised eyebrow.

"What? It's because our mother sent me a message telling me that she and father sent Kakarot here!"

"Yeah. They sent him here to save him from the planet's destruction." I explained. Everyone, including Raditz, gasped at this.

"Wha-What do you mean by that?" Raditz demanded I explain.

"Our father thought it was strange that Frieza would gather all the Saiyans back home for no reason, so he stole a pod to send Kakarot away. Did it ever dawn on you why Kakarot was sent here of all places? Kakarot was born with a power level of 2, meaning that if the planet wasn't destroyed, he would have been sent to some horrible place because of his 'lack of potential'. Our father and mother sent him here so he could at least live a decent life. The people here aren't very strong, meaning Kakarot would be able to live among them and maybe even thrive here. This planet also wouldn't be worth much to the Frieza Force, meaning that he would be safe from them as well. Kakarot wasn't sent here to destroy earth. He was sent here to live and enjoy his life. Our parents...our father...Bardock...died for that end." I strained to get the last few words out before I had to stop myself before I started sobbing again. Raditz looked utterly baffled at the news, while Goku and his friends looked shocked and overwhelmed. Goku especially looked conflicted, hearing how his parents that he had never met had given everything they could so that he could live, despite being Saiyans.

"I-Is that true?" Goku asked me, a new softness in his voice.

"It is. I saw your pod leave the planet before it happened. I'm glad you're safe. I thought I would never see you again." I told Goku.

"That's horrible!" Bulma exclaimed.

"So that's why Gohan found Goku in the woods that day. He had just arrived from his destroyed planet into the safety of our planet." Master Roshi said.

"But how could our father know that a meteor would destroy the planet?" Raditz asked.

"It wasn't a meteor." I explained. "The entire Cooler Force, including myself, watched it happen." I felt my eyes twitch with anger as I recalled the horrid memory. "It was that bastard Frieza who destroyed the planet."

"What!?" Raditz cried out. I tightened my fist as I tried to calm myself from blowing up from the anger I was feeling. After I had calmed down, I continued the explanation.

"My theory is that Frieza was scared of us Saiyans and thought we might cause a lot of problems, so he got rid of us. Why he kept the few who survived alive is a mystery, though I would boil it down to just foolish arrogance. Our father found out about the plan and tried to take on Frieza by himself." I looked away as I finished the sentence. "He failed..."

"Father..." Raditz said softly. I took a deep breath before I spoke again.

"Let's just...leave Kakarot alone, Raditz. He has his own life here. We shouldn't drag him into our race's problems when he no longer has anything to do with them. We...shouldn't even be here right now." That last part was mainly directed at me, since I still felt like I didn't belong here. Raditz shook his head at my statement.

"I-It doesn't matter! I need both you and Kakarot to join me! Vegeta is expecting me to bring you two back, so I need to do that no matter what!" Raditz then looked around and noticed something within Kame House. "I see... It appears you have a son, is that right Kakarot?" Goku and the others stiffened up at this.

"Leave Gohan alone!" Goku shouted as he rushed at Raditz. Raditz then knees Goku, knocking the air out of him. Goku collapsed and Raditz walked over to the Kame House entrance to grab Gohan. Before he could make it, I blocked his path.

"Orion, get out of my way!" Raditz demanded.

"I won't. I will not let you harm my nephew." I told him sternly.

"Hmph! Annoying little..." He mumbled as he turned on his scouter. "Huh? Power level of only 100? Did you get weaker, brother?"

"Of course not, you fool. I'm just using a skill I never told anyone about." I said with a smirk.

"Skill?" He said, looking a bit more concerned.

"Yeah. If you didn't know, I can feel energy sources naturally and can even regulate my own. Watch this!" I said before channeling all of my ki. My ki surrounded me as a powered up. Raditz and everyone else was completely terrified of all the power I was releasing at that moment.

"2,000...3,000...4,000...5,000!? That's double my own power level!" Raditz exclaimed as he took a few steps back. "How did you get so strong!?"

"Working for Cooler does that. He doesn't have me conquer planets for him for nothing, whether I want or not is a separate matter." I told him. "Now then, do you want to fight? I'll be honest, ever since I saw Frieze blow up the planet, I've needed to work through some shit but never got the proper opportunity..." I said with deathly seriousness. "You're strong, right bro? You should be able to handle a few blows from me, right?" Raditz felt a chill at my tone and gave me a petrified expression.

"Th-This means nothing! I still have to bring you both back with me, or Vegeta will have my head!"

"Then try to do that." I said, letting my power relax. "I won't let you take Kakarot's son as a hostage, but I'll give you an opportunity." I told him. "Let's test that 'Saiyan pride' of yours, why don't we? We'll make a deal. If you beat us, we'll go with you. If you lose, you leave Kakarot alone. And don't worry, I won't be fighting. How about it?" Raditz seemed to be at ease once I mentioned not fighting.

"Fine then! Kakarot's power is miniscule compared to me. He doesn't stand a chance if you aren't going to help him." Raditz said before flying off. "Meet me at my pod. We'll fight there." With that, he flew off. I turned to look at the young Gohan, who was looking at me with a scared but awe-filled look, sort of like how Raditz did back when he was a kid. I crouched down and patted his head.

"Hey there. I'm your Uncle Orion. I think I heard your dad say your name was Gohan?" The kid nodded nervously.

"Y-Yeah. My name is Gohan. Th-Thank you for saving me."

"No problem. Anything for family." I told him before walking over to Goku, who was just now recovering from the attack. "You ok, Kakarot?" Goku looked at me and nodded.

"Yeah... He's strong though. He hit like nothing I've ever felt before. I'm not sure how you expect me to beat him by myself." He said.

"I don't." He gave me a confused look before I turned to where a certain green man was hiding. "Hey you! Namekian! I know you're there! Come out!" I shouted. I then heard a sigh before Piccolo came out from his spot.

"Piccolo!?" Goku and the others exclaimed, terrified that their enemy had suddenly appeared.

"Piccolo, huh? It's nice to meet you. I wonder why a Namekian is here on Earth." I pondered out loud.

"Namekian?" Krillin asked.

"Yeah. He's an alien." I said pointing at Piccolo. Everyone including Piccolo was once again shocked at the information.

"I thought he was a demon!" Krillin shouted.

"Nah. Demons are red and not wrinkly I think. Namekians are the residents of planet Namek. In fact, the Namekians are the home of a peaceful, yet strong race of people. They even have their own dragon balls that are stronger than the ones here."

"Dragon balls!?" Bulma shouted.

"You know about the dragon balls?!" Master Roshi exclaimed. Ah shit I let too much slide.

"I may have done research on Namek once..." I said, hoping that would convince them. Piccolo was completely taken aback by the info, though he snapped out of it to get back to the more pressing matter.

"Forget that! Right now we need to worry about that Raditz guy. He's strong, not to mention dangerous. He needs to be stopped." Piccolo said.

"Wait...are you suggesting we work together to take him down?" Goku asked.

"Don't get the wrong idea. As soon as he's gone, you'll be next." Piccolo threatened. He then turned to me with a glare. "And you. Why aren't you fighting? I saw and felt how strong you were. You could beat him easily. If you really wanted to help, then you'd take care of him yourself!"

"But that's boring." I replied without hesitation.

"Boring?"

"Yeah. I'm always the one to beat Raditz in a sparring match. If I won, it wouldn't change anything. However, if you and Kakarot won, then the message would really be ingrained in Raditz's mind. He's sure to not bother you again if you guys win. Besides, this gives you and Kakarot a good opportunity to grow stronger by fighting a worthy foe, right? That, and I don't really want to hurt Raditz." I explained. "He is still my brother after all."

"Tsk...! Whatever..." Piccolo scoffed. "What do you say, Goku?"

"I don't mind as long as we beat him. Brother or not, I won't let him hurt Gohan or anyone else. If teaming up with you is the only way to beat him and get him off the planet, then I'll do it." Goku explained.

"Alright, then we should get going to where Raditz is." I said while picking up Gohan. "You want to come along with us, little guy? You can cheer on your father with me if you do."

"I'm not sure if that's a good idea..." Goku said while looking at me and Gohan. Gohan seemed conflicted for a bit before giving me a timid nod.

"N-No I want to come too. I want to be with Dad and Uncle Orion." I felt my heart skip a beat as soon as I heard Gohan say 'Uncle Orion'. I couldn't help but chuckle as a response.

"Oh wow... I really am an uncle. That just hit me all at once. Holy cow..." I said. I turned to Gohan and rubbed his head. "Not sure if your dad will want me around, but I'll try to be a good uncle while I'm here." Gohan gave me a pure smile and laughed.

"Yeah!" So pure! Must Protecc!

"Hmm... if that's what you want, Gohan." Goku said before turning to me. "I'm still not completely sure how to feel about you, but I get the feeling you're a good guy, unlike Raditz, so I'm gonna trust you with protecting Gohan during the fight, alright?"

"I promise you with my life he'll be safe." I told him. "We should head off now. Raditz might be getting impatient waiting for us." I said as I began to float off the island while carrying my nephew. "What about you guys? Are you coming too?" I asked the humans that were here.

"We'll catch up with you guys. You go on ahead!" Krillin told us. We nodded and flew off, me and Piccolo flying while Goku rode Nimbus.

"Woah! Is that a flying cloud you're riding?" I asked.

"Yeah! It's called Nimbus. I got it from Master Roshi, the old man you saw back there. Only those with a pure heart can ride it."

"Really? I wonder if I would be able to ride it. I doubt it."

"Who knows. I did say you seemed like a good guy, so maybe you could ride Nimbus. Maybe I'll let you try once we get done with Raditz."

"Wait, seriously?" I asked, real excitement tracing my voice.

"Enough of the stupid banter! We need to speed up!" Piccole yelled at us as he sped away from us.

"Yeah yeah, whatever green man. Hang on tight Gohan!" I said as I tightened my hold on the boy. I then sped up the pace of my flight, flying at a much faster speed. I looked down at Gohan who seemed like he was loving it. I couldn't help but smile as I flew with him in my arms.

"Gohan seems to like you a lot already." Goku said as he flew beside me.

"I don't know about that. He just met me after all."

"Well he had just met my friends today too, and he seemed a lot more nervous around them then he does with you." Goku pointed out.

"Maybe he's more comfortable with me because I still have my tail like he does and I'm not trying to kidnap him like Raditz." I said, poking fun at Raditz while I talk. Goku chuckled at that.

"Man, today sure is crazy. To think that I'm an alien and that I have two brothers and parents who wanted what was best for me. What were they like?" Goku asked me. I gave a sad smile when I remembered my time with Bardock and Gine.

"Our mother, Gine, was a loving person. She wasn't the strongest, and because of her kind nature, she had to retire from fighting in the army earlier than most, but she was the kindest Saiyan I've ever met. She loved us more than life itself. Our dad, Bardock, was stern but compassionate. He was born as a low class warrior, but trained to the point that he managed to surpass many high ranking warriors, despite his low rank. He trained me and Raditz back then. He was strict and didn't pull any punches, but knew when to let us take breaks and rest. He was usually on missions, but every time he was home, it was nice. Like I said earlier, he predicted the planet's destruction and sent you away. He then fought Frieza's army by himself. He took out countless goons before he was caught in Frieza's attack that blew up the planet. He was... the strongest man that I knew, and the one I respect the most." I explained, feeling a tear fall from my face. I quickly wiped it away before continuing. "They would be so proud of you if they were still here." Goku and Gohan took everything in with looks of awe. They must be trying to imagine how they were like and how they would act if they were here now. I couldn't help but laugh as I remembered something. "You know, Kakarot, you look just like dad. Same hair and all. Gohan here sort of has our mother's hair style too."

"Really?" Goku and Gohan both say in unison.

"Yeah."

"Wow. They sound incredible from what you've said." Goku said.

"They were. I miss them a lot." I said. "But enough about that. We should focus on Raditz. He's a lot stronger than I thought he would be. You and Piccolo will have to give it everything you've got. Don't hold back. And go for the tail if you're able to. Grabbing a Saiyan's tail will weaken them immensely."

"Got it. Oh, by the way, Raditz was saying something about how our tails bring out a Saiyan's true power. What did he mean by that?" Goku asked.

"Whenever a Saiyan stares at a full moon for a brief period of time if they have their tail, they will transform into a monster called a Great Ape. Most Saiyans become mindless beasts when they transform, but they get power that's strong enough to destroy cities with a single attack. Higher ranking soldiers sometimes are able to stay in control of their Great Ape form, but for young children and weaker warriors, they'll go berserk and destroy everything around them. You're lucky your tail got cut off before something bad could happen." I explained. Goku thought for a bit before his eyes widened.

"Grandpa..." I heard him say quietly.

"Grandpa?" I questioned.

"My Grandpa Gohan. I named my son after him. He was the man that found and raised me. After I bumped my head as a kid, I remember staying with him. He was really nice and kind. But I remember he died one day, but I never knew how. I guess..."

"Oh... I'm sorry Goku. You didn't know. It's not your fault." I told him.

"Yeah... I can't feel sorry for myself now. I'll still live life how my grandpa would have wanted. I won't let my past mistakes and regrets hold me back." I smiled at his determination. I still haven't gotten over our parent's deaths. Already, Goku's stronger than I ever could be.

"We're here." I heard Piccolo say as we reached the clearing where Raditz landed. This is it. Let's see how this fight turns out now.
