Me and Raditz flew to where I felt Piccolo and Gohan's energy, ending up in a lush area with a bog, plains, many rocky structures, and even a desert wasteland. After flying over the area for a bit, we finally spotted Piccolo. As we landed, he saw us and gave a huff. "So you actually managed to convince him to help us."

"Don't get it wrong, green man. I am only doing this as a favor to Orion and to teach those other Saiyans a lesson for looking down on me." Raditz told Piccolo.

"Whatever, as long as you're helping us and won't get in the way, I couldn't care less what you do or why." Piccolo responded.

"So Piccolo, where's Gohan? I thought you were going to train him."

"I'm seeing if he's worth my time right now." He said, pointing to a wide flat area where we could see Gohan running away from a large dinosaur. "If he can't handle just surviving out here, he isn't worth the effort." Both mine and Raditz's eyes were wide at seeing Gohan running for his life and Piccolo just giving him a look that said 'Fuck him'.

"Shouldn't we help him?" I asked with a concerned voice.

"No." Piccolo responded.

"While I do think these methods are extreme, the Namekian has a point. If the brat can't handle this, then we shouldn't bother." Raditz said, hardening his gaze. I sighed.

"I guess our father did use harsh tactics on us too. Fine, but if it gets too out of hand, I'll step in. I made a promise, after all."

"Do what you want. Now then, we should start training." Piccolo said. For the rest of the day, me, Raditz, and Piccolo started training with each other. I was much stronger than them, so I allowed them to fight me at the same time. The two of them worked surprisingly well together, almost trapping me multiple times. They may not like each other, but they'll be strong allies against the Saiyans. When the sun started to set, we took a break from training to check on Gohan, who had somehow jumped to the top of a mountain and was stuck. We each collectively gave a sigh as we saw him.

"We should get him some food." I suggested.

"Fine, but this will only happen this one time." Piccolo said reluctantly. We found some food and dropped it off for Gohan without him noticing. When Gohan saw the food, he got happy quickly and ate all of it almost instantly. I laughed a bit at the sight, while I saw Raditz smirk a bit and Piccolo do his usual scoff. That's when I remembered something.

"Oh yeah, I should do this before I forget." I said out loud.

"Do what?" Raditz asked before he was interrupted by me firing a ki blast at the moon. After a couple seconds, the moon blew up in spectacular fashion. "Why did you do that brother!?"

"Why was it important that the moon was destroyed?" Piccolo asked.

"We Saiyans have tails, and when we look at a full moon, we transform into huge monsters called Great Apes." I explained. "If the moon was still here when the Saiyans came, they could have used it to transform and gotten stronger."

"But could you, Raditz, and the kid do the same thing since you three have tails too?" Piccolo asked.

"Exactly, so I can't understand why you would destroy the moon, Orion." Raditz said.

"Well, when Saiyans transform into the Great Ape, they tend to lose all sense of self, becoming a mindless beast that destroys everything. If we were to transform, we would probably do more harm than good. I bet Vegeta can control his Great Ape form, but I don't know if we could. I have never turned into a Great Ape, so I don't know if I could control it, but I'd rather not transform at all. I won't allow myself to. I don't quite like the idea of becoming a monster." Piccolo nodded in understanding.

"I see. You're right about that. A monstrous form that can't be controlled would only be a hindrance. I suppose it's fortunate that the moon was destroyed before Gohan or one of you transformed accidentally." Piccolo said.

"Yeah. Now then, should we keep training or sleep for now?" I asked.

"We should probably rest and start again tomorrow so we don't strain ourselves." Piccolo said.

"Agreed. We have a year to prepare, there is no need to needlessly tire ourselves out." Raditz agreed. With that, our daily training had begun. We each slowly got stronger as we pushed ourselves against each other. We each also kept a keen eye on Gohan, who was doing quite well for himself, especially after I managed to convince Piccolo to give him a weapon and better clothes to train in. Gohan has grown into a spitting image of Goku as he managed to kill dinosaurs and eat their meat. Eventually, after finally proving himself to Piccolo, we started training Gohan for real.

Gohan had a hard time, especially since none of us were going easy on him, and he was really bad at dodging at first, but he picked things up quickly. The same could be said for Raditz, as he not only was getting stronger, but also becoming a lot more mellow and comfortable being around us. Gohan also started warming up to us, especially Raditz and Piccolo. He seemed like he was only ok being with me at first, but now he seems content with all of us. After the day's training was over, we finally took a break and began to rest for the night. Gohan was covered in bruises and cuts, as usual, but he didn't look down about it.

"Well, at least the last 6 months have run the cry baby out of you." Piccolo commented. Gohan chuckled at this and nodded.

"It truly is impressive. Your growth is impressive for just a half Saiyan." Raditz said.

"Yeah you remind me of myself and Raditz back when we were kids." I said with a laugh.

"Really?" Gohan asked.

"Yeah. You're getting stronger everyday. We might be tough on you, but you've proven yourself capable of handling it." I told him. Gohan looked at me with a curious look before speaking again.

"Umm...Uncle Orion, Uncle Raditz, could you tell me more about yourselves? We've been training all this time but I still don't know a whole lot about you." Raditz seemed surprised that Gohan wanted to know about him, but he gave Gohan an answer once he thought about what to say.

"Well, for me, I hadn't seen Orion or Kakarot in 24 years. I was sent off our planet with those other Saiyans on a mission and escaped the destruction of the planet. Since our planet and people were gone, we had little to no choice but to continue working for Lord Frieza by continuing to conquer other planets and killing people for him. Each new day was either a fight or traveling to another planet searching for a fight. Vegeta would always be the one pushing us to keep taking over worlds. Of course, I never questioned it, being a Saiyan and all. That was what we did. We conquered planets and sold them to the highest bidder. Of course, no matter what I did, I was always treated like a weakling. I was always the butt of the joke for them." Raditz explained, tightening his fist before relaxing. "Once we beat them, I can finally prove to them I'm not some worthless piece of trash that can just be thrown away at a whim. Maybe then, I can live a decent life. After spending time here on this planet, being with my brother again, I would like to live a life similar to how things were on planet Vegeta." He explained. Gohan nodded.

"I would like that. I know you fought dad and Piccolo when you first came here, but you don't seem too bad anymore. It would be cool if you lived here. The more time I spend with you, the more you seem to act like Uncle Orion and dad." Raditz was shocked to hear this and quickly tried to act tougher. Gohan then looked at me. "What about you, Uncle Orion?"

"Where to start... Well, I'm not really special. I'm the same as Raditz when it comes to how long it's been since I saw either of my brothers and what I did before this. Before the planet exploded, I was hired by Lord Frieza's brother, Cooler, to join his special force. I did much of the same things Raditz did: conquering planets and subjugating people. I was fortunate enough to convince Cooler to spare a lot of people though, since unlike Frieza, he can see worth in people weaker than him for multiple things. Instead of killing everyone beneath him, he makes them useful by making them soldiers or workers. Of course, he's still evil. I couldn't convince him every time and a lot of people died over the years, but I'm still happy I managed to save as many as I did. I managed to get a lot stronger while working for Cooler, and I somehow made some nice memories while on the force. Of course, I think I would be a lot happier living a peaceful life than going back there. I was hoping this would be my chance to escape the force, but that depends on what happens, yeah?"

"Yeah! You should totally stay!" Gohan told me. "I'm sure you like living here."

"I already do." I told him with a smile as I put my arms behind my head as I reclined onto my back. He smiled at that, before he turned to Piccolo.

"Hey, Mister Piccolo, is it true that you and my dad used to fight each other a long time ago?" Gohan asked.

"...That fight is far from over, believe me. Once the Saiyans are defeated, if they are defeated, I intend to pick up where we left off." Piccolo said.

"Yeah, but my dad used to tell me that ever since you were reborn, you're not nearly as bad as you used to be. He said now you're more grumpy than evil."

"Haha! He's got you there, Piccolo!" I laughed. Piccolo scowled at this.

"I don't know, but I think he was kind of right." Gohan said. "But my mom is still totally scared of you." Piccolo looked like he was at a loss of words before he screamed at Gohan.

"Stop blabbering and go to sleep! If you think today's training was hard, just wait until you see what I have in store for you tomorrow!" He threatened.

"Umm, yes sir." Gohan responded before laying down and falling asleep.

"Hrr...imputent little brat." I heard Piccolo mumble under his breath.

"C'mon, lighten up. We already know you're just a big softy under all that grumpiness." I told him quietly while I was lying down. "I saw you smile a couple of days ago while patting Gohan's head when he slept."

"Sh-Shut up!" Piccolo said angrily, which got a laugh out of me before I fell asleep. We kept up the training for a few more months before it finally happened. We were about to start training once again, like usual, but I immediately stopped once I felt it. Two large power levels had just entered the atmosphere.

"Do you guys feel that?"

"Yes... They're here." Raditz said with dread. He had learned how to regulate his power level and sense it as well during our time training. He is a lot stronger than before thankfully, but by how he's reacting, I imagine he still isn't strong enough to be confident against Nappa and Vegeta, despite my estimate that he should be a good match for Nappa.

"They're here a month earlier..." Piccolo said through gritted teeth.

"And they're stronger than us, aren't they?" Gohan asked, looking at Piccolo. Before he could answer, an enormous explosion occurred in the city the Saiyans landed. It was so large, it was comparable to a nuclear bomb, except 10x worse. Despite how far we were, we were still being pushed back by the air sent from it. Once it stopped, we felt the two Saiyans heading straight at us.

"Get ready you guys. They'll be right on top of us soon!" I yelled.

"There's nothing to fear. Remember, compared to a year ago, all of us have increased our power level tenfold." Piccolo said, taking off his cape and turban.

"I'm ready." Gohan said with confidence. But right as we were hyping ourselves up, another large power source appeared right next to us. The others began to panic until it was revealed to be Krillin.

"Hey, long time no see you guys." Krillin greeted us.

"Sup, Krillin." I said raising my hand in a polite gesture. "You sure have gotten strong!"

"Thanks Orion. Me and the others have trained as well this past year, and we're ready to fight the Saiyans with you." He told me.

"I see. So you aren't the only fool who will be showing up." Piccolo said with a laugh.

"Oh hey! I remember you! You were there when I went to Master Roshi's place." Gohan said, looking at Krillin.

"That's right. My name's Krillin. Wow, you really have bulked up since last I saw you." Krillin then turned to Raditz. "I'm not sure how I feel about you, but since you're here, I imagine Orion managed to get you on our side like he said. Since Orion has shown he's a good guy, I'll trust him and trust you." Raditz nodded before quickly turning around.

"They're here!" He said, causing us all to look at the two new additions who have just arrived. Nappa and Vegeta. I furrowed my eyebrows at the sight of them. Now that they're right here, I can tell that they felt stronger than they were in the show. This might explain Raditz's concern. Vegeta and Nappa landed and took a look at us. I grimaced. It looks like we're in for a bad time...
