3rd Person

"Go ahead and set her down here, Master Roshi." Krillin told his teacher as they flew over the terrain that was the battlefield with the Saibamen and Nappa. "...We'll start getting the bodies on board." With that sad statement, Master Roshi nodded and landed the ship, allowing anyone who could move to exit and help put the bodies of those who had died in containers to help preserve them and get them on the ship. The entire area was a mess. Large, almost random, patches of land were burnt or destroyed, and a heavy aura of death hung in the air.

Bulma found herself staring with sorrow at Yamcha when Krillin and Master Roshi put his body in one of the containers. Chiaotzu finally started sobbing when they got to Tien's body, and he wasn't the only one. Another person, a woman named Launch, also started to sob at Tien's death. She was another one of Goku's old friends who lived at Kame house with Krillin and Master Roshi. She had the unique quirk of having two different personalities that swap after sneezing: A kind, air-headed, sweet, blue haired personality, and a rude, short tempered, violent, blonde haired personality, though the two don't share memories. The blonde Launch had fallen for Tien and rushed back to Kame house from her trip to watch the fight with the Saiyans, and had come with them to...witness the aftermath. She was just as heartbroken at the sights she was seeing, just like the others.

After putting Piccolo's body in his container, Master Roshi looked around. "...Alright. One more to go. Where is Orion?" He asked Krillin. Krillin nodded and pointed over to him, still smiling even after death. Master Roshi and the others still couldn't believe that Orion was dead. They hadn't known him for very long, but just from their few interactions, they knew how strong Orion was. They also knew how kindhearted he was, much like Goku. They had been watching the fight with the Saiyans over at Kame House with the help of a crystal ball owned by Master Roshi's sister, Baba, and they had witnessed how everyone had died. Yamcha, Tien, Piccolo, and finally Orion. They saw each of them, one by one, leave this plane of existence. They couldn't believe that Piccolo would sacrifice himself for Gohan, or that Orion would give his life to save Nappa, an enemy. But what's done is done. With Kami, Piccolo's other half, dead along with Piccolo due to their shared lives, the Dragon Balls were no more. There was no fixing this.

"Goodness... It's terrible. Such a senseless loss." Korrin, a small sentient cat who grows the powerful Senzu Beans said when he saw the 4 containers with the bodies. "If only there was a way to turn back the clock and prevent this tragedy from ever happening. The way things stand, far too many decent people have made too great a sacrifice."

"This is wrong," Master Roshi agreed. "And here we are, powerless to change anything. So infuriating!" He said with a tightened fist. Once everyone had gotten back onto the ship with the bodies, they closed the hatch and Roshi made his way to the pilot seat. "Well-"

"Let's get going." Bulma interrupted, moving in front of Roshi and sitting down in the pilot's seat. "I'll take the wheel, ok?" Master Roshi looked at Bulma with a worried look. Bulma returned the gaze with a calm reply. "Don't worry. I'm calmer already after seeing them. I won't fall apart anymore."

"...Good. That's good." Roshi responded, letting Bulma take the wheel. Once they were off the ground, Gohan finally started to wake up. He had been unconscious ever since returning from his Great Ape form. He stirred until his eyes were finally open, much to his mother Chi Chi's delight.

"Gohan! You're finally awake!" Gohan looked at his mother before bolting upward in a panic. "There, There now. Your mommy's right here now!" Gohan looked at his mom with tear filled eyes. It had been a full year since he had last seen her.

"M-Mom? Is that really you?" He asked in disbelief. "Th-Then, did we...?"

"That's right, Gohan. We did it." Gohan turned to see his dad lying down on a cot next to Nappa and Raditz, each of them still heavily injured from the fight. Gohan gave a sigh of relief at hearing that and relaxed, but the calm peace was broken when he saw the containers that had the bodies of everyone who had died in them.

"Mister Piccolo...Uncle Orion..." Gohan quietly cried out upon seeing their bodies. He still felt horrible about their deaths. Piccolo gave his life for him, and his Uncle had died right when Gohan thought everything was going to be fine since his dad had arrived. He felt so powerless when they both died.

"...You never finished your sentence." Bulma then brought up the topic to Krillin. "What were you saying about 'bringing everyone back'?"

"Yeah, did you mean what I thought you meant?" Chiaotzu asked.

"Well, it's just a thought." Krillin began. "Hear me out. After Vegeta beat Orion, Vegeta came back wondering how Goku would be alive after dying from the fight with Raditz. Orion had already given him some details, which, in hindsight, was probably to help stall for time. We were forced to tell them about the Dragon Balls, something that seemed to immediately grab their attention. And what they said about Piccolo was what caught my attention. Orion, Raditz, Nappa, and Vegeta called him a Namekian. Orion said that that was the kind of Alien Piccolo was, right? That means there's an entire planet that's full of other Namekians, right? That's what Vegeta and Nappa seemed to believe. Right Nappa?" Everyone turned to the big burly Saiyan, some with harsh looks, and others with desperate ones. Nappa gulped before he nodded.

"Y-Yeah. Vegeta said that we would get answers if we went to Namek, the Namekian home world. He probably believed that there were other Namekians there that had made their own set of Dragon Balls." Nappa answered.

"That's what I thought." Krillin said. "I already asked Nappa about it, and he said he could give us the coordinates to Namek. If we can find a way to get there, then we might be able to use their Dragon Balls."

"Oh I get it!" Korrin replied. "All we would have to do then is wish for everyone who was killed by the Saiyans to be restored to life."

"And I'd get to see Mister Piccolo and Uncle Orion again!" Gohan cheered, though Chi Chi was too happy about the Piccolo part of that excitement.

"And Yamcha and Tien too!" Chiaotzu shouted happily. Launch perked up at that, immediately getting up with hope.

"Really!?" She shouted. "Could Tien really come back?!"

"If that's true, then your friends, and my brother would all be alive!" Raditz exclaimed, excitement also in his voice.

"And if Piccolo gets brought back to life, so will Kami! And when Kami's back, so will the Dragon Balls here! Or if not, he can make more!"

"Yes! That's an amazing idea! And if that Nappa fellow has the location of Namek, then we could actually pull that off! We at least have to try!" Master Roshi shouted happily.

"Hello, friends! Goodbye Vegeta!" Krillin added, making him, Roshi, and Korrin burst into cheers.

"But wait, what guarantee do we even have that this Namek even has Dragon Balls?" Bulma asked. "It sounds like not even Nappa knows that."

"The woman is right about that." Nappa responded.

"Woman!?" Bulma shouted.

"Look, neither I, Raditz, or Vegeta have ever been to Namek. I don't even know if Namekians are still on it. I remember hearing about a disaster that happened on the planet a long time ago and almost destroyed the planet."

"I guess that explains why Kami, or the Namekian who would become Kami, came here. He must have escaped that disaster." Korrin said.

"Orion said that he had never gone to Namek either, but he did mention them having Dragon Balls." Krillin pointed out.

"But how would he know that if he had never been there?" Bulma asked.

"My brother is one who always seems to know more than he lets on." Raditz answered. "If he believed Namek had these Dragon Balls, he's most likely right."

"I have an idea." Goku said. "Hey, King Kai. Are you listening? Does planet Namek have Namekians and Dragon Balls?"

"I'm listening, and give me a minute to check." King Kai's voice rang out. Everyone was surprised to suddenly hear King Kai, but what he said next washed away all of the shock for happiness. "Good news! Even after the disaster, a sudden climate change in Namek, there are still over a hundred Namekians in Namek!"

"Then we don't have to worry about them not having Dragon Balls!" Krillin exclaimed. "Now we just need a ship, which we already have!"

"We do?" Gohan asked.

"Yeah! We have Nappa's ship!" Krillin then pulled out the remote Vegeta had used to call his pod. "I found this laying on the battlefield and thought it could be helpful. We can use it to call Nappa's ship."

"We also have Raditz's Ship!" Goku said.

"Unfortunately, our ships can only hold one person. But don't worry, Kakarot. We still have Orion's ship, which I remember him saying was a cruiser, not a pod, and the ship that Namekian must have used to get here, I'm sure." Raditz said. Bulma's eyes started to joy.

"Then, this could actually work!" She cheered.

"YES! THERE'S STILL HOPE FOR OUR FRIENDS AFTER ALL!" The group, excluding the full-blooded Saiyans, all shouted happily. "TO NAMEK, AND THE DRAGON BALLS!" With that, the group flew off with hope in their hearts. Even Nappa was someone relieved at the news. Orion wouldn't have thrown his life away for nothing now. They all were going to do their best in getting those Namekian Dragon Balls. Their friends were counting on them, after all.

It had been a few days since the fight with the Saiyans. Goku, Raditz, and Nappa were all in the hospital in extensive care. Raditz insisted he was fine, but when the doctors saw how many broken bones and damaged organs he had, he was immediately brought with Goku and Nappa to recover. Krillin, Chiaotzu, and Gohan were also put in the hospital, but they weren't as injured as the three full blooded Saiyans, though Chiaotzu was badly hurt.

Bulma, with the help of Kami's assistant, Mr. Popo (Fear the mysterious black genie man...) had found Kami's old ship. While it was still in disrepair, it had a lot more room and was faster than Orion's cruiser. Bulma just needed to learn a few Namekian words from Mr. Popo and repair the ship to get it in working order, which Bulma could easily do. She was a genius, so learning a few alien words shouldn't be a problem, and Orion had given her permission to use his ship and resources he brought, so she could also easily repair Kami's ship with that. Still, she didn't want to go to a foriegn alien planet by herself. Goku, Raditz, and Nappa were in no condition to move, so they were out. Launch, who was still blonde, was the first to volunteer, but was immediately shot down due to how dangerous this sort of mission would be.

She was about to start shouting some more, but before she could, she sneezed and returned to her blue haired self, who was confused at the situation, but was supportive anyway. Krillin was hesitant at first, but he agreed to come along. Chiaotzu immediately said that he would go. He wanted to make sure Tien was brought back no matter what. And to everyone's surprise, Gohan said he wanted to go too. Chi Chi wasn't too happy with that, but Gohan was stubborn about this topic, even going as far as to yell at his own mother. He wanted nothing more than to help bring back Piccolo and his Uncle. He had too. Piccolo had helped train him and saved his life while Orion took care of him and acted as the only family Gohan had to lean and rely on during all that time. He had to help bring them back, no matter what. Everyone was impressed by his words of determination and courage, despite only being 5 years old. After some more convincing from Chi Chi's father, the Ox King, and Bulma, Chi Chi reluctantly agreed to let Gohan go.

After ten more days, the four were finally ready to head out to Namek. Krillin and Chiaotzu met up with Bulma at Master Roshi's place. Bulma was quite upset about how she was the only one wearing appropriate space gear for the journey. Chiaotzu was only wearing his normal Crane School uniform, but Krillin was wearing a ridiculous set of clothes that made it look like he was going on vacation instead of going to an alien planet. And just when Bulma thought Krillin's outfit was the worst, Gohan then arrived with his family. His appearance made everyone recoil. He was in a school boy uniform, which Gohan was obviously embarrassed to be wearing. Not just that, but his long hair had now been cut into a bowl cut hairstyle. "Hahahahaha! Gohan, I barely recognized you! What's wrong with your hair? Did you lose a bet?" Krillin asked while laughing his butt off.

"No..." Gohan shyly replied. "Dad and Uncle Raditz laughed the first time they saw me too."

"Say what you will, but I think he looks like the perfect little gentleman." Chi Chi said proudly. Now that everyone was here, Bulma walked over to the ship with a stern look.

"Piccolo." With that one word, the ship's entrance opened up. The group gathered their things, said their goodbyes, and with the Namekian name said once more, the entrance closed.

"Woah! This is kinda exciting, isn't it! Hey, Bulma. Where do you want us to put our bags and stuff?" Krillin asked.

"I don't care, just somewhere out of the way. And hurry up!" She barked back.

"Oof. She sure is grouchy today." Krillin said.

"We launch in 5 seconds. Our destination: Namek." Bulma said, preparing the ship for immediate take off.

"H-Hold on a minute! We haven't even gotten to our seats yet!" Chiaotzu exclaimed as the ship rumbled and the three scrambled to grab a hold onto something. Bulma didn't seem to care as she started the ship, the ship flying high up through the atmosphere in almost a second.

"S-Stop! We're still not ready yet! Could you at least wait for us to get our seatbelts on!?" Krillin panicky asked. Of course, nothing could sway Bulma. They 4 were off, having left Earth and heading to Namek. Bulma soon got out of her space suit since she was the only one who had even bothered with something like that, while Gohan also changed back into the Piccolo gi he wore during the Saiyan attack. "You really admire Piccolo, don't you?" Krillin asked.

"Yep! Almost as much as my dad! The same is true for my Uncles!" Gohan proudly exclaimed.

"Alright! Let's finally get this started! Planet Namek, here we come!" Bulma shouted as the group flew off into the stars. They should arrive in just under a month at the improved speeds they were going to be traveling at. Little did they know, someone absolutely terrifying would be waiting for them on Namek.
