Date: June 2nd 2034

It was another Sunday, everyone was around the table as expected. Even though Henry was no longer with us, his seat was still left open. There just wasn't anyone who wanted to fill it, didn't seem right.

Since then the Reagan clan has expanded so much that there was now a kids table off to the side. The big dining room table had to be pushed over slightly to fit both and extended.

At the big table on a normal Sunday sits, Frank, Erin, Eddie, Jamie, Danny, Maria, Joe, Cassidy, Sean and his Wife of 2 years Trish, Nikki, her husband of 6 years Jason, and their 3 year old son Dylan. He was the only kid at the big table because he was the youngest.

As for the kids table, all 4 of Jamie and Eddie's kids, Alaina(14), Ryan(12), Ava(10) and Scarlett(10). Danny and Maria's daughter Isabella (10) and then Joe and Cassidy had two kids Connor (10) and Madeline (5).

Jack had took a big Job up in Connecticut and only came around on holidays.

Erin is the DA and damn she's good at it.

Frank still sits in the police commissioners seat up at 1PP.

Joe is still detective but transferred to the 2-9 after they moved. Cassidy just went back to teaching preschool this year now that Madeline is in preschool and in her class.

Jamie is a CO and Eddie is a 2nd grade detective. They work in the same precinct which of course comes with some pros and cons as always.

Nikki and Jason moved back to New York after they had Dylan, they wanted to raise kids around family.

Sean and Trish bought the house from Danny and are in the process of trying to have a baby of their own but having trouble.

As far as Maria and Danny, they are dating but have agreed they don't want to get married. So they live together at Maria's house and parent their daughter. It's what works for them, both still being detectives.

——

By the end of dinner the kids table was loud as always, school was over in a couple days and they were excited for summer. Everyone started getting up because they were all done eating.

"Alright I'll clear. Who's washing, drying, and putting away leftovers?" Erin stood up and asked. Maria said she'd wash, just as all the kids started to run off up the stairs to get out of helping.

"Hey! Freeze!" Eddie said mostly meaning her kids but they all listened.

"Yeah hold your horses there youngins'" Danny said helping clear the table.

"Ava cmon, you're drying." Eddie pointed.

"Huh! Why!?" She complained.

"Because I said so." Eddie told her with that mom eye. Her real reason was because her attitude earlier today before church was bad, but she didn't want to embarrass her infront of all her cousins.

"Connor why don't you help me put the food away." Cassidy said coming out to the foyer where they all were on the steps.

"Fine." He listened and went to the kitchen with her.

"Ava let's go." Eddie said again and headed to the kitchen too, knowing she'd follow.

"I don't want to. This isn't fair!" She whined and stomped down the stairs.

"Ava stop acting like a baby." Ryan told her.

"I'm not! Don't call me a baby!" She yelled back at him.

"I said stop acting like one." Ryan clarified, Ava was a hot head, she ran at him and pushed him.

"Ava!" Jamie saw the whole thing just as he came in and grabbed her.

"He started it!" She yelled as Jamie took her to the front living room.

"Stop with the attitude, the arguing, the fighting. You need to listen better and do as your told." He scolded.

"I always have to help!" She argued back.

"Because you're always disobeying!"

"Nah uh."

"Go dry the dishes with Connor. I don't want to hear another word." He pointed to the kitchen and she listened, she wasn't happy but at least she listened.

After everything was cleaned up, everyone was sitting around watching the baseball game, or playing a card game at the table.

"We gotta head out, bedtimes in an hour for this one." Nikki told everyone with Dylan holding her hand.

"Thanks for dinner, as always it was great." Jason said, they waved bye and left.

"Yeah we should go to, Sean?" Trish was giving him that look.

"Yeah, yeah. Hold on this just got really interesting." He said glued to the baseball game.

"Okay…" Trish rolled her eyes and went out to the kitchen to wait. Eddie was out there getting a glass of wine.

"Everything okay?" She asked her.

"Yeah, just ready to go, I'm so tired and stressed out just thinking about work tomorrow." She said sighing.

"Oh well in that case want some wine?" Eddie asked stopping her pour.

"Ha no. I can't." Trish said, Eddie looked at her with big eyes.

"Oh no no no. I'm not. No. Not yet, still trying." Trish said.

"Aw man. I'm sorry, it's one of the worst feelings. We tried for awhile too with Alaina." Eddie sipped her wine.

"Yeah. Well we decided if the first try at ivf fails we're adopting."

"Aw that's great! I mean I obviously hope it works but still, you know what I mean!" Eddie had word vomit, per usual. She made Trish laugh.

"Have you guys seem Madeline?" Cassidy interrupted, looking around for her 5 year old.

"Um no?" They both answered concerned.

"She isn't upstairs?" Eddie asked.

"No, Isabella said she went to play with Scarlett but Scarlett said she saw her come downstairs." Cassidy said.

"Oh. Well that's weird. You'd think we'd of seen her." Trish said and joined them in looking.

"Alright babe I'm ready." Sean came to the kitchen saying.

"We're looking for Madeline first, have you seen her?" Trish asked him.

"Oh? No?" Sean went to look around and before you knew it everyone was looking.

——

10 minutes had gone by and nothing. All the kids were helping look now too.

"Did anyone check outside?" Joe asked opening the back door.

"She wouldn't go out in the dark would she?" Maria questioned.

"She's too scared of the dark." Cassidy reminded. Joe didn't care and headed outside.

"Maybe I'll check the bedrooms again." Frank said and headed up the steps.

"Scarlett are you sure you saw her come downstairs?" Danny asked.

"Yeah!" She said without hesitation.

"Why'd she go downstairs? She wanted to play with you." Alaina asked.

"I don't know? Maybe she didn't see me. I was in the bathroom putting my hair up." She said.

"Found her." Joe said coming in the door carrying Madeline, she was upset, and scared.

"Aw honey! Why were you outside?" Cassidy went to give her a big hug. The family dispersed letting them deal with their kid without an audience.

"I couldn't find scarlet." She cried and Joe put her down to stand herself.

"It's okay." Cassidy hugged her.

"Maddy why did you go outside? You are not allowed outside alone." Joe said kneeling down to talk to her.

"Sorry." She apologized.

"Do not do that again, alright?" He told her, he made her cry even more.

"Joe…" Cassidy thought he was being harsh, she took Madeline into her arms. He was acting on his own fear. He was just not wanting to feel that scared of his own child's well being again.

——

Soon after that, everyone left to go home, it was getting late.

"Do you think I could sleep over at Megan's house on the last day of school?" Alaina asked on the drive home.

"No! Your supposed to sleep at grandpas!" Scarlett defended.

"Yeah, you can't miss it." Ryan added.

"We can talk about it." Eddie said open minded.

"Noooo!" Scarlett didn't want her to miss the big last day of school sleepover, it was tradition. They stayed up late, got pizza and watched movies at Franks with all the other cousins.

"It's Alaina decision, if we let her go." Jamie defended.

"I don't want you at grandpas anyway." Ava said crossing her arms.

"Ava…" Jamie looked at her in the rear view mirror.

"That's mean!" Ryan defended.

"Well I'm mad at her!" Ava said. Eddie held her head in her hand, she was just waiting for the fight to break out. Preparing for a migraine to hit as soon as it started.

"What did I do!?" Alaina asked confused.

"You locked me out of the bathroom!" Ava argued.

"Really!? Your mad at me needing privacy from my 10 year old sister!?" Alaina yelled back.

"That's a really stupid reason Ava." Ryan called her out.

"Language…" Jamie reminded.

"It is not stupid! Your stupid! Your only 14! You don't need privacy!" Ava said.

"Hey! do not use that word!" Jamie reprimanded.

"Yes she does!" Scarlett said and then it was all yelling and chaos, all over top of each other.

"Okay…OKAY! Stop!" Eddie yelled over them.

"Mom but-" Ava tried to explain herself.

"No! Not. Another. Word! When we get home, I don't want anyone talking, or even looking at each other. Your all going to go upstairs, brush your teeth and go to bed. Got it!?" Eddie laid down the law. The car was silent the rest of the ride home.

These two got there hands full with 4 kids! That Ava is a handful! Hopefully keeping track of all the kids and their names and ages isn't too difficult, there are so many! I will probably leave a list with there ages at the top of every chapter after this one from now on. Along with the date. Anyway hope you guys liked the start of this book! If there's any preteen/teenage plot ideas to include Pm me or leave it in the comments, it would be very helpful! Thanks everyone!!!!
