"Yesterday was great!" Grayroad said, getting in her seat. "Yeah, I wanna have a castle just for me when I grow up." Melascula exclaimed. "No way, you gotta be a princess for that." Dereiri explained. "Whatever." Melascula replied. "Meliodas doesn't care if you guys hang out around the castle. We just can't break anything or get in the way of official Ten Commandment business." Zeldris said. The kid's faces lit right up, given the news. Before they could cheer, the teacher came right in with a bit of serious expression.

"Alright kids...we're gonna discuss something very serious today. Something absolutely dangerous to demons." He explained. Everyone's attention was grabbed. "Have you kids ever heard goddesses?" He asked. "Yeah! My big brother slays them with his powers." Zeldris said. "Mommy always tells me "don't talk about them"." Grayroad answered. "Have you ever wondered why we fight to kill them?" He asked. The kids thought for a bit. All the scary stories, all the things that were said, the ways they had to go all out. Why? What for? "It's because they're the biggest threats to demons. Their abilities break down our darkness particles which can kill us if given enough. They're not something to play around if not properly trained. Any questions so far?" "Why do they fight us then? What did we do to them?" Monspeet asked. "They think we're scum. Something that makes the world imperfect just by our mere existence. Thoughts like those drive sick and selfish beings to slaughter." Zeldris felt sick just hearing this. Just hating them because they exist felt dumb and a waste of time to him. He hated them already. "How do you beat them? Do you only have to be as powerful as my brother?" Zeldris asked. "Yes and no. While your brother has managed to grow very powerful indeed and had slain many of the most powerful goddesses, you don't really need to have too much power in order to kill one yourself." He explained. "One more thing before we break away. Training officially begins next week. We're gonna make into goddess slaying machines!" He said, leaving the room. The kids were speechless but had different reactions. Zeldris didn't really know what to think, Melascula was very intimidated, Grayroad finally understood why her family never talked about them, Monspeet really didn't want to meet one, and Dereiri wanted to kill one herself. Zeldris flew back to the castle and was greeted by Cusack.

"Welcome master Zeldris. How was...something wrong?" He asked, noticing his demeanor. "Have you seen a goddess before, Cusack?" He asked. "...yes, of course. Is that what you've learned about today." "Yes. They think we're absolute scum and they can kill demons with ease." Zeldris explained. Cusack, starting to realize what's going on, thinks of what to say quickly. "Does that scare you, young master?" He asked. "...a...a little." Zeldris muttered. Cusack got on his knee and looked Zeldris in the eye. "No need to worry because before a goddess even sees you, they'll already be dead by your hands." He assured. A warm smile came to little Zeldris's face. "Thanks, Cusack." A smile came to Cusack's as well as he stood up. "Now then, let's get to the dinner table. Meliodas has baked a wonderful looking pie."

"Oh no!" Zeldris said.
