Akinshipping (Kajiki Ryouta/Mutou Sugoroku)
. . .
"You'll have to give an old man a few moments, I can't move like I used to," the old man says with a laugh, and Ryota finds himself smiling too.
"Well, you don't have to move all that much while fishing," Ryota says. "You just have to sit still."
The man barks out a soft laugh, adjusting his rod on his knees. The boat shifts a bit under their feet, bobbing gently in the lake.
"You have a point," he says. "Just don't expect me to be pulling in any whoppers on my own!"
"I think I could probably help you out with that if you needed it," Ryota says. "I won't let anything get away from my boat on my watch!"
Sugoroku lets out another rumbling laugh, and Ryota no longer regrets that Yugi had to call off their fishing trip only for his grandpa to invite himself along instead. It feels kind of nice. It's like fishing with his dad again.
"You know, I used to do this every summer with my son," Sugoroku says. "It feels nostalgic, don't you think?"
Ryota smiles down at his rod. It's been a while since he fished with anyone beside him.
"Yes," he says. "It does feel rather nostalgic."
He smiles at Sugoroku.
"Thanks for coming out here with me, gramps. It's nice to have some conversation while waiting for the fish to bite."
"Thank youfor having an old man like me along," Sugoroku laughs. "Actually, if you want conversation, that reminds me of a story about something that happened to me the last time I was on this lake."
Ryota grins as the man launches into his tale, and adjusts his grip on his rod.
Yeah, he thinks. It's nice to have company out on the lake.

A/N: I just want Sugoroku to be everyone's grandpa. Next is Agileshipping (Anzu x Vivian).
