"I'm going to check out this room, you wait here with the froggit." I nod as they walk into the room. I turn to the frog monster in my arms. They looked uncomfortable in my arms.
"So you're a froggit?" The little frog turns back to me and hesitantly nods. I squeal and give them a little kiss on the snout making them blush. They croak shyly and look down at the ground. Frisk comes back out of the room and looks down at the blushing froggit. They glare at the froggit making them squirm and -successfully- escape my grasp. The froggit goes flying through the room, and away from us. I frown, somewhat pouting about my snuggle buddy being gone. I turn back to Frisk and raise an eyebrow.
"Wouldn't want the froggy getting jealous." I tilt my head before Frisk pulls out two candies. I gasp and take one.
"Thanks!" I put the candy in my pocket but Frisk doesn't take their hand back. I look up at them curiously.
"Take both." They put their wishes simply, I shake my head.
"You wouldn't get one then." They smile.
"Don't worry, I already got one." They wink at me, I roll my eyes. I don't believe them, but they're my friend so I'll just ignore my feeling. I grab the second candy and put it in my pocket before standing up, my form towering over Frisk's.
"Let's go." I nod and follow Frisk as they walk down the path in the room. We turn a corner to find a weird purple patch on the ground. Frisk grabs my hand and pulls me over to the weird patch. I don't question them and just let them drag me along. That was a bad choice. We both fall down into a patch of red leaves on the ground with a thump. I look over at Frisk, they had let go of my hand after we fell, and was getting up. I hurriedly stand up too and follow them through a doorway. Once we go through, the world turns dark then bright again. We were back in the other room, but on the other side of the weird purple patch.
"Come on." I turn to Frisk standing in the doorway to the next room. I nod and follow behind them quietly. The moment we get into the next room the cellphone Toriel gave me, rings. I pick it up and answer the caller.
"Hello?" I ask, the caller responds to me.
"Hello! This is Toriel, is this Rachel speaking?"
"Yes, it is." I hear Toriel giggle.
"It is good to know what the sound of your voice is. Anyway, for no reason in particular, which do you prefer; cinnamon or butterscotch?" I pause for a moment and look over at Frisk, who was looking at me expectantly. I put my hand over the phone, so Toriel won't hear me.
"I think Toriel might be making something. Do you prefer butterscotch or cinnamon?" Frisk shrugs.
"I don't really care." I nod and pull my hand back from the phone.
"I prefer butterscotch, but Frisk doesn't mind either one." Toriel hums in acknowledgement.
"Alright then, sorry to bother you." With that she hangs up. I put the phone back and take a step before the phone rings again. I answer it.
"You do not DISLIKE cinnamon, do you?" Toriel asks me.
"No, I don't dislike cinnamon." Toriel hums again.
"Alright then." She hangs up again and I put the phone back in my pocket. I survey the room to see a bunch of spikes, a rock, a pressure plate and a grey sign on the wall. The spikes were quite small, not gonna lie. Well, unless you're the size of Frisk, then yes they're big. I walk over to the spikes and step over them.
"HEY! DON'T LEAVE ME!" I turn to see Frisk run over to the spikes, the spikes were as big as they were. I lean over the spikes then pick Frisk up and over them. I place Frisk on the floor next to me and start walking towards the next room. The next room was quite big and had a rectangular hole in the wall. Frisk grabs my hand and pulls me behind them. I don't question them and follow quietly behind them. They walk on the ground as if there's a pathway, I notice. Soon we're in the next room. It's like the other room but with 3 rocks instead of 1. I go over to the spikes and step over them.
"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" I jump and turn around to see who was talking, it obviously wasn't Frisk. Then, the person talked again.
"Down here." I look down, it was a rock. There's a talking rock, what next the reincarnation of Casper?
"What's wrong?" The rock huffs.
"You're skipping the whole entire puzzle!" I nod slowly.
"No, I'm using my resources." I can feel the rock glare at me.
"You're skipping the whole puzzle!" I roll my eyes and step back over the spikes. Frisk turns to me, having something to say.
"We just need to push the rocks onto the pressure plates." I nod and go to the rock in the middle. I easily push it onto the pressure plate. Frisk had also pushed their rock onto the pressure plate. Now for the last rock. I walk over to the talking rock and go to push it but it yells at me.
"Whoa there pardner! Who said you could push me around." I was so done with this rock's crap.
"Oh? So I can't push you?" The rock scoffs.
"Of course!" I smile evilly making the rock start quivering.
"Hey, hey! What's that look for?!" My grin just grows then I pick up the talking rock.
"PUT ME DOWN!" I just ignore the rock and drop them on the pressure plate.
"Boom, solved." The rock groaned in pain as I grabbed Frisk's hand and pulled them across the -now closed- spikes. The moment we reach the other side the spikes went back up out of the ground. We turn around towards the talking rock.
"AND DON'T COME BACK!" I roll my eyes and continue walking, Frisk quickly follows to be beside me. Suddenly, the froggit from before hops in front of my way. I gasp making the froggit flinch and slowly turn towards me. He croaks weakly knowing his fate is sealed. I scoop the frog in my arms and give him a kiss on the head. He croaks again, this time with a little blush. I turn to Frisk.
"Now we can continue." They nod and continue walking. I follow behind them quietly, enjoying holding with the froggit. The next room had a mouse hole and a table with cheese. How long is it going to take to get out of here?
