"Are you sure you can handle this?" I asked as I put on my jacket.

"Of course I can! I've been conquering literal worlds since I was ten. How hard is it to look after a single infant?!" Vegeta shot back as he held Trunks.

"Well it's you, so I'm not exactly confident in leaving you here alone with your son." I responded. "I probably should have rescheduled the interview after I found out that Bulma and her family had a business trip planned for this week."

"What's this interview about anyway?"

"You remember the people at the Cell Games that were recording the fight?"

"No. Why would I remember worthless pests like that?"

"Well, they wanted to learn more about ki and the stuff that we were doing at the Cell Games, so I offered to answer their questions in an interview." I turned to Vegeta and sighed while pinching the bridge of my nose. "Look, just make sure Trunks is safe. If anything happens to him, Bulma will literally kill me, whether it's my fault or not, since she left me in charge when she left."

"Wait, why were you put in charge?"

"You know exactly why, Vegeta. Your track record isn't the best when it comes to taking care of people, and I've essentially become Bulma's babysitter of choice after Trunks was born." I answered as I walked to the door. "Luckily for you, I called Trunks's uncle. He should be here soon."

"Uncle? But Bulma doesn't have a brother." Before Vegeta could say anything else, the door was kicked open and Nappa walked in.

"Uncle Nappa's here!" Nappa shouted happily. Vegeta's eyes widened when he saw Nappa and heard what he said. Vegeta slowly turned his head towards me with an expression that demanded answers.

"Oh yeah. You weren't here for this, but Nappa got engaged to Bulma's sister, Tights, a few months before the androids attacks. So he's technically your brother-in-law." I told him. "It shouldn't be too bad. I hear that you've been getting along better with Raditz and Nappa nowadays. Well, I'll leave you guys to it."

"NOOOOOOOOOO!" Vegeta shouted as I left and closed the door behind me. Honestly, I've been waiting for Vegeta to find out about Nappa's engagement for a while. If Raditz and Launch getting married was a surprise, Nappa getting into a relationship with Tights was an even bigger surprise for me. The two of them met one day after we had finished training when Tights came over to West City to visit Bulma, and Nappa was actually impressed by her knowledge in alien technology and knowledge of space and aliens in general. They both soon began to have friendly chats about Tight's profession as a sci-fi writer and how she had adventures with a galactic patrolman named Jaco.

Nappa then mentioned how he was an alien, and Tight's was immediately intrigued and began to pester him with questions. Since I was there as well, she pelted me with questions as well, but I somehow managed to push them all onto Nappa by saying he's 'much more experienced, knowledgeable, and wiser than I am since he's much older'. Next thing I know, the two are dating and then they got engaged. It's hard to imagine Nappa as a family man though, and even harder to believe how Tight's can chew him out much like how Bulma does to Vegeta. What is it with the Saiyans here marrying women who can quickly shut them down with words alone? I hope I don't end up in a situation like that, though marriage is quite honestly the last thing on my mind. I doubt I'll find someone, but the thought is nice.

With Vegeta and Nappa taking care of Trunks, things should be fine while I'm gone. I made my way through the busy streets of West City to the park I'm supposed to meet Jimmy at. I don't get to walk around the city like this all that often, but it's nice. I miss just walking around and enjoying the simple things. Things have been so busy lately that I haven't even had time to do stuff like this. Though it's strange. Even though I used to love just walking around and taking in my surroundings, it feels...wrong now. I just have a feeling that I should be doing something more important than walking around, like working or hurrying up to the meeting place. Maybe that's the real reason why I haven't done this in a while. There's always something more important to do than just enjoying myself. Maybe I should hurry my pace. I'd feel bad if I kept them waiting too long because I was enjoying the walk too much.

With a quickened pace, I hurried to the park. When I got there, I saw Jimmy Firecracker himself with his cameraman Larry and Mister Satan right next to him. Jimmy saw me and waved me over with an excited smile. "Mister Orion, sir! It's good to see ya!"

"Hey! It's been a while. Sorry if I kept you waiting." I told them as I made my way over.

"No worries. We just got here ourselves." Larry told me. "And I still need to check up on the equipment before we start shooting."

"While Larry is doing that, I just wanted to give my thanks for accepting my interview proposition." Jimmy told me. "Let me tell ya, the world has been waiting eagerly for this interview. This ki stuff you mentioned seems to intrigue a lot of people."

"Well I'm glad I could help share it with people. I think it would be great to see more people using ki like me and my friends do." I happily said. I then turned to Mister Satan with a smile. "So then, Mister Satan, are you going to try to learn how to use ki during this interview?"

"I'm not sure…" Mister Satan scratched his head with a thoughtful look. "I still can't really wrap my head around this, but as the World's Martial Arts Champion, it's my duty to see what this stuff is and if it can be used to help martial artists around the world!"

"Alright, everything is ready to go." Larry said as he picked up the camera and pointed it to us. "We can start whenever you're ready."

"Then let's begin!" Jimmy excitedly said as we sat down on a bench nearby. Larry started rolling and Jimmy began the interview. "Jimmy Firecracker here, and I'm with the World's Champion, Mister Satan, and one of the heroic fighters from the Cell Games, Mister Orion! We are here to give the good people of the world answers as to what was happening during the chaos that was the Cell Games! Cell and the other fighters that showed up during the tournament showed off other worldly abilities where they shot lasers out of their hands, teleport, and even fly! Mister Orion is here to tell us all that he knows so that the people of Earth can perform these feats themselves! So, Orion, if it's alright for me to call you that, you told us previously that all of these skills come from something called 'ki'. Could you please elaborate on what this is?"

"Sure. Well then, where to start…" I began to think about it for a bit before continuing. "Let's begin with the basics. 'Ki' is just another word for 'life energy'. It's the energy that every living thing has within it, no matter how large or small. This energy, when controlled, can strengthen any person and allow them to do superhuman feats like flying. It all stems from ki control. Watch." I put my hands close together and calm my breathing as I focused. Soon, a bright light appeared between my hands, spiralling as it shined. Jimmy, Mister Satan, and Larry watched with wide eyes as I showed them the energy.

"This is just a tiny portion of my own energy. I can use more to make the spark here larger, but this will be good enough for this example. With just good focus and concentration, I'm able to bring out my internal life energy in the form of ki. Of course, I'm a Saiyan, a race that has higher than normal ki control, and I have been told by others my ki control is the best around, but humans can accomplish this with enough training. And as you mentioned, you can use even with this amount of ki to do something like this." I pointed the spark upward and fired it into the air. After traveling through the air for a minute or 2, it exploded like a firework.

"That's incredible! And you say that any person can learn how to do this?" Jimmy asked.

"Completely. I know 3 human martial artists that have learned how to use ki and have even perfected unique and original techniques that have helped us out in battles many times. Ki doesn't have to be used for laser blasts either. I can use ki to make shields, weapons, and even strengthen my own limbs for attacks, though some of those are more advanced moves that require high ki control." I explained.

"Amazing!" Jimmy exclaimed.

"So then is it possible that someone like me might be able to learn some of these flashy moves?" Mister Satan asked.

"Sure, though I wouldn't exactly call all of this stuff 'flashy moves'. Some of these techniques are less flashy and more practical. Like this." I charged my energy into my hands for my Jupiter Breaker technique. My arms began to glow a light white and purple as I should them to Mister Satan. "I call this my Jupiter Breaker move. Since I'm not as physically strong as some of my friends, I made this move to keep up. Using this, I can hit harder and faster than I would normally. All I have to do is focus my ki into my limbs to strengthen them. I've actually started to learn how to have this move up passively while I fight so I'm always hitting harder."

"That is really practical. Every martial artist would get some use out of that." Mister Satan gaped while watching me. I let my Jupiter Breaker dissipate as I turned to Mister Satan.

"Why don't you try to bring out your ki." I asked him.

"R-Really?"

"Yeah. Once you manage to recognize it and start using it, it will be easier to use it." I told him. "Now then, just do as I say. It probably will be really hard for you to bring out even a tiny portion for the first time, but just believe in yourself and my directions. So first thing's first, close your eyes and try to focus on your own internal energy. Relax yourself as you try to picture it in your head, and then try to bring it out into your palms." Mister Satan nodded as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath before concentrating.

Jimmy, Larry, and I all watched with anticipation as Mister Satan did his best to bring out his energy, but after a few minutes, it didn't seem like anything was going to happen. I sighed quietly, already knowing that he probably wouldn't be getting it on his first try, but that's when something incredibly small began to glow between his palms. The three of us immediately rushed to Mister Satan and stared at it. It was just a small spark, but what it represented was huge. My mind was completely blown. "Holy cow! Mister Satan, you did it!" I exclaimed.

"H-Huh? I-I did?" He questioned nervously. "I mean, of course I did! What did you expect?"

"Dear Lord! Mister Satan, this is incredible! Even though it's small, this means that this is possible for anyone to do!" Jimmy cheered.

"I'm impressed, really! I didn't think you would be able to bring out anything without additional training, but it must be because of your skill in martial arts that helped you bring out your energy faster." I remarked. "It's not a lot, but just from this, you now know where to go from there."

"Really?" He asked excitedly.

"Yeah. Just from looking at this, I can give you some more tips for future training with your ki." I told him. "From my experience, different people are skilled in using ki in different ways, whether for ranged attacks, enhancements, or other uses. In your case, I think it would benefit you to start using ki for small enhancements before trying to shoot out blasts like Me and my friends do. By first using your energy to strengthen your body first, it should make it easier to learn how to use it for other things later." Mister Satan nodded enthusiastically in response before looking back down to the tiny spark of ki he brought out.

After talking a bit more with Jimmy and Mister Satan about ki, the interview was over. Jimmy thanked me for the interview and told me that I would be sent a cut from the money they would make off the interview. I thanked him and went on my way, and to my surprise, Mister Satan was headed in the same way. He actually wanted to talk some more before heading back to his place. "I'm really glad we got to do this. I'm honestly surprised that I was able to bring out that energy stuff at all." He laughed a bit as he said that.

"You might not have a lot of ki, but you seem to be catching on quickly with it. With your skill in normal martial arts, I imagine you'll get pretty far with ki. Maybe not as far as any of my friends, but you'll definitely get stronger." I told him.

"Maybe. I still don't know how to feel about all of this. It's all too weird, like it's straight out of a fantasy book or somethin'." Mister Satan sighed. "I think I would be upset about people doing stuff like this before since it doesn't really feel like martial arts. It feels more like a crunch, or a cheat. A trick to get around actually working at fighting. But after watching that kid beat Cell with this ki stuff, and after using a bit of it myself, I'm starting to see how this is connected to martial arts."

"Well if you're interested in learning more about it, I'm sure my friends would be glad to help. I know that my friend Tien is starting a school somewhere in the mountains, and my other friend Yamcha is also starting a dojo around here soon, I believe."

"Wait, are you talking about Yamcha the Bandit, the baseball player?"

"Yeah. That's how he was so good at baseball, and why he was paid billions to quit."

"That actually explains how he could get 100 home runs in a row…"

"Yep…"

"Well, I'm not sure if I really will be able to get better with this stuff like you think, but I'll definitely try. Besides, my daughter seems to really want to learn more about this stuff."

"Well, I'm glad I could help you with this. You can always give me a call if you need help with this stuff."

"Thanks. You're a good guy." We talked some more before we made it to the front of Capsule Corp.

"Well, this is my stop. I have to make sure my boss's kid is ok."

"You work at Capsule Corp? That's incredible." Mister Satan remarked.

"It's not really a big deal." I shrugged. "So where are you headed?"

"Probably back home to Satan City. I've been away on business for a while, and I want to spend time with my daughter now that I've got some time."

"That sounds nice. I hope you have safe travels." Mister Satan and I shook hands before he got a capsule out and threw it to the ground, having it turn into a fancy car. I then turned to the Capsule Corps building, prepared to enter. However…

"GODDAMNIT NAPPA!" I hear Vegeta scream from the inside as I hear things break. "GET BACK HERE!"

"#DaddysLittleBoy!" I hear Nappa shout.

"DELETE THAT RIGHT NOW!"

"#PapaVeggie!"

"#GALICKGUN!" I then see a purple light glowing from within the house.

"Oh no…" I muttered.

"FIRE!" A massive purple blast fired out of the house past me, completely destroying Mister Satan's car and everything behind it. I then hear Trunks start crying as a response to Vegeta's loud attack.

"Oh goddamnit…" I hear Vegeta groan.

"#YouMissed." Nappa said.

"Perfect…" I sigh as I turn to Mister Satan, who has a terrified expression on his face. "I'll...get a check and a replacement car for you."

"I would greatly appreciate that."
