Hello! I know it's been so long. All my apologies. If you're still following along, thank you! I hope the wait is worth it...

To avoid confusion (and because it's been a while) please note that this chapter will start with Cindy's POV of chapter 24 and then go into what happens next. Enjoy!

Cindy's POV

I exited the lab, grabbing the overnight bag I left by the door, with a mix of emotions. Jimmy's right in that today is an exciting day, but it's still one that even as the best friend of the mom-to-be, somehow manages to stress me out.

Everything I said to Jimmy about how Libby is handling her pregnancy and being a mom is true. But there's more to it than that. It's not something I thought about too much in the past few months. That's mostly because I've been away at school and unable to be with Libby during this time. But now that we've reached an important event, leading to an even bigger one, all those feelings have rushed back.

Libby and Sheen's strong, stable relationship. A house, a baby. A family.

I want it to happen to me. All of it.

My time will come. I know it will. While I'm grateful to be getting an education and accomplishing all that I am, there's still things in my personal life that I am hoping to fulfill.

As if it wasn't already obvious, I want to do all of that with Jimmy.

I love him so much. I never thought it was possible to feel this way about another person. He's the absolute love of my life and despite that we are still in the girlfriend/boyfriend stage, sneaking around like what we're doing is wrong, I don't doubt for a second that Jimmy Neutron is who I'm meant to be with.

As sure as our relationship is now though, we haven't spoken about what's next. So while I may be confident about what I want, I can't say for sure that he feels that same.

But whatever future I was envisioning for Jimmy and I had to temporarily leave my mind as I focused on getting back into my house, and hopefully to my room, as stealthy as possible.

My mom and dad have never really been... fans of Jimmy's. But it was something they had to deal with when he and I started going out. Although their opinion of him did improve slightly in the time we were together, it shot right back down, and got worse if I'm not mistaken, after he broke up with me.

Even if Jimmy and I hadn't agreed to keep our reconciliation private for now, I'd likely still be hiding it from my parents. It's just better this way. I know they won't get it.

Telling them I was sleeping over Libby and Sheen's place so I could help with the baby shower was the perfect cover-up for spending the night at Jimmy's. I made it through the front door easily enough but to avoid any unnecessary questioning, I wanted to get upstairs quickly.

I was only on the third step when I made out my mom's footsteps coming from the kitchen and her voice calling my name.

"Cynthia, good morning! You're back earlier than I expected." Mom had her hair up in a loose bun and was wearing an apron. There was a bit of flour on her cheek and forehead.

"Yeah, hi mom. Libby and Sheen were heading over to her parents' place, so they dropped me off." Them picking me up last night was also the excuse I gave for why I didn't drive myself over. "Are you baking something?" I tried taking the attention off me.

"Just making pancakes."

"Oh, okay. Is dad down here?" I moved to turn down the stairs so I could greet him too.

"No, no." She answered quickly. "He is umm, he went to pick up milk. He'll be back shortly." She explained and while it was short, I could make out her exasperated sigh. "Why don't you go wash up and come down to eat?"

"Yeah, I'll be right-". My eyes glanced over to the living room where I could see soft pastel wrapping paper covering a large box that was on the floor. A large yellow bow sat on top.

"Is that a present? For the shower?" I pointed in the proper direction.

"Yes." My mom slightly turned her head to look in confirmation.

"Oh, you didn't have to do that mom. I already got them something. It's in my room."

"No, this is my gift, Cindy. I'm giving it to Libby later."

"Wh-what do you mean?"

"Didn't Libby tell you? She invited me to her baby shower."

"She- she what?"

"Well, you certainly must have been busy getting things ready, you didn't do much talking." She presumed. "Yes, she invited me and I'll be going. That won't be a problem, will it?"

"No, of course not." I answered, still trying to absorb the update. "Sorry, I just- I didn't realize you and Libby were... friendly."

"We've bumped into each other a few times around town, in the store and such. It's been nice seeing her pregnancy develop. We've gotten to talking and you could say there's something of a bond now. About a month ago, she asked me to lunch and invited me to her shower. I didn't expect it, but it was a kind gesture and it would be rude not to go."

"Oh. Umm,-" And before I could say anything else, she interrupted.

"I was thinking we could drive over together. Unless you needed to finish up anything else before other guests arrived."

"Err..." Given no time to process the news about her attending the shower, I now quickly had to think about how her presence may affect the rest of my day. It would make sense that Jimmy, as one of the closest friends of the parents-to-be, would be there. So hopefully my mom would think the same upon seeing him and refrain from any snide comments. I had planned to take a cab there and ride back with Jimmy. But I'll let him know there's been a change of plans and save the explanation for when I see him there. "Yeah, that's fine." I agreed with her suggestion after a longer-than-normal hesitation. "We can go together." Then, to move slightly off-topic and also onto something I was curious about, I asked. "So what did you get them?"

"It's a carseat. Not the one on their registry. I got them a better one."

But of course.

"Right." I answered, knowing better to question her choice of gift. "I'll go wash up and be down for breakfast."

"Alright." With that, she turned back around and headed towards the kitchen, leaving me on the staircase, realizing I was likely going to have a very long, hard day.

I didn't mean to snap. For the most part, I think I've gotten better at controlling my temper as I've gotten older. But walking into Libby's parents' house and seeing that we were less than an hour away from guests arriving and there was still a lot to be done, annoyed me to no end. And it's not as if this baby shower was the only thing stressing me out.

Libby and Sheen, who were supposed to be here by now, were also nowhere to be found. Which, as I wanted everything to be perfect for when she arrived, wasn't entirely bad news. With my mom off with Libby's mom, and not hovering around me, it put me less on edge for when Jimmy would arrive. Hopefully, they wouldn't see each before I had a chance to tell Jimmy that she was also here. That, along with the favor I need from him, will surely keep them from bumping into one another.

Turning back to the counter to frost cupcakes and noticing that everyone was leaving the kitchen, probably to get away from me, I heard a familiar voice approach me.

"Hey."

"Oh great, you're here." I spoke immediately after seeing that it was in fact Jimmy. Despite thinking it's best that we communicate as little as possible while here so that no one sees us, I decided to break my own rule. As I was instructing him on the favor I needed, I could tell he was not really paying attention. Feeling stressed and impatient, the last thing I wanted to do was have a private conversation with Jimmy, especially since, at this point, I didn't know what it could be about. Reluctantly, I let go of the icing spatula and followed him into the Folfax's spacious, walk-in pantry, where he turned the light on and closed the door.

And although he struggled to find the words, it's what he said while we were there that made me forget about everything else going on at the moment.

"You- you want to have a baby someday?" I said it slowly, just in case I misunderstood, because he has never said anything like that before. "With me?" He pulled me closer to him as he confirmed and despite thinking I was about to go into shock, I embraced him back.

"I want to have everything with you. If you'll have it with me."

Oh. My. God.

Is he saying what I think he's saying?

Does he really think about our future the way I do?

Hastily thinking of all we've gone through and focusing on the way he was looking at me now, I couldn't believe I ever really doubted that.

Within seconds we were kissing, and thanks to this new revelation, it meant a lot more than all the times before. I forgot where we were. What time it was. Why we were here. All that mattered was that I was with Jimmy. I love him and I've just now found out how much he loves me back.

So when the door opened suddenly, we weren't able to process the interruption until a voice spoke.

"Oh, shit!"

"Sheen!" I exclaimed both in surprise and to alert Jimmy in case he also needed a wake-up as I was giving him the excuse of looking for frosting, I knew Sheen wasn't that brainless.

"In your mouth?" He spoke with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh Sheen, you're so funny." I answered with the most awkward of laughs. "The thing is-."

"Cin." At last, Jimmy spoke. Though with the look he had on, he might as well have not.

"Well, then help me out here!"

"Hold on. Are you two back together?!" Sheen asked, connecting the dots. Jimmy confirmed before I could stop him or say anything else. And just when he was explaining that we were trying to keep it a secret, Carl appeared. I noticed Jimmy roll his eyes, likely for the same, exasperating reason I wanted to. Naturally, Sheen with his big mouth shared the news with Carl. And even though we suspected he knew about this the whole time, it was still frustrating that he found out like this and not in a way Jimmy or I could control.

"Okay, now is not the time for this!" I, as I had been doing before Jimmy came into the kitchen, took charge. Pushing my way past Sheen and Carl, I gave them the brief, non-detailed (not that they needed it) version of how Jimmy and I got back together and why Carl might have already known. To move onto another subject, I reminded them of why we were all gathered here in the first place. With that, Carl shared a piece of news that nearly made my heart drop.

"What?! What do you mean she's 'missing'?" I asked him frantically, like there was another definition of the word.

"We drove over here together. She has to be around here somewhere." Sheen seemed too calm for my liking.

"Yeah, I think so too. I think your mom's helping to look for her, Cin."

"Your mom is here?" Jimmy turned to me and asked. Not having had the chance to tell him nor prepare him myself, it was, like a lot of things going on today, less than ideal.

"Yeah, I was going to tell you... Libby invited her. But okay," Knowing that wasn't the end of that, and that Jimmy and my mom seeing each other sometime today was something I would have to deal with at that time, I decided to leave it alone for now. Facing the three of them, I got the ball rolling on finding our missing friend and the most important person of the day. In an attempt to start a search, Sheen went to find his in-laws. His face, I noticed, was now much more full of concern than it was a moment ago. Because of this, I suggested to Carl that he go with him. Trying to calm down, I spoke out loud to Jimmy what I was going to do and reminded him of what he could do to help even if it wasn't directly related to looking for Libby.

"Hey. I'm sure she's fine. She's probably just upstairs, hormonal and crying and doesn't want to talk to anyone right now. It's an emotional day." His words and hand on my arm calmed me down a lot more.

"Yeah. Yeah, you're probably right. She's around. Everything is fine." I tried to reassure both of us. "That didn't last very long, did it?" I pointed towards the pantry, knowing he'd know what I was talking about. Shrugging like he didn't mind it, he took a step closer to me.

"Maybe it's for the best. If they can share their happiness with us, we can share ours with them." Smiling, because he always knew just what to say, I closed the space between us and kissed him again.

"I'll be right back." He pulled away and gently squeezed my hand before turning to leave. "Let me know if you guys find her!"

"I will!" I yelled back.

Walking towards the counter, to my phone in my purse, I intended to call Libby. I can understand her not wanting to talk to everyone, but she could at least reassure me, her best friend, that she was okay, couldn't she?

I was barely able to undo the button on my clutch bag before I heard another familiar voice enter the kitchen.

"Cynthia?"

"Hey mom." I glanced up to make sure it was her. "Do you have any leads on Libby? I heard you were helping to look for her." How I know that is a valid question she could ask, but I wasn't too worried about that at the moment.

"I am but no. I don't know anything new." She said it almost dismissively, like that wasn't the point to why she was here.

"Oh okay. I'm going to call her. See if she answers." I replied while typing in my phone passcode, deciding not to focus on how unconcerned she was about Libby's whereabouts.

"Cynthia, I have to talk to you."

"Okay, just let me-."

"I just saw you with the Neutron boy."

My hands and gaze were frozen on my phone. I was stunned. I couldn't bring myself to face her right this second so I thought of what to say while a handful of emotions ran through me.

"Oh, umm." I stammered while slowly looking up at her, knowing I couldn't avoid her forever. "We were talking about where Lib-."

"You kissed him right before he left." She wasn't asking. She took a couple steps closer to me. "I didn't know you two were...back together."

"Wh-what makes you think we're back together just because I kissed him?"

"It didn't seem like the type of kiss between two people who aren't...involved." I can never be too sure what it means when she pauses like that. Not really knowing what I could say, I gave a single nod, hoping she would respond to that. Still, she didn't speak right away and it looked like she was thinking of what to say. Until finally, "Are you sure this is what you want?"

There are a lot of questions she could have asked. And I was ready to answer any of them. Even this one, considering the conversation Jimmy and I had a short while ago.

"Yes." I spoke with the most confidence I've had since she and I started this conversation. "It is. I love him, mom. So much. And he loves me." Before she could reply, because I knew she would have a comment already, I continued. "We've been working a lot on our relationship and that's mainly why we didn't tell anyone. Up until today, no one knew. So it's not that I was hiding it from you or dad," though that part wasn't entirely true, "we just thought it was best for now."

"I understand Cindy." She said it softly, but I felt like she really did understand. "It's fine. We're all entitled to have secrets." She nodded as if to reassure me.

"Yes, exactly. And I know you probably think this whole thing is silly and he's just a boy and I should focus on other things-." She rested her hand on my arm now. "Are you mad?"

"No." She gave me a small but genuine smile and pushed a loose piece of my hair behind my ear. "You're young. Now is the time to be impulsive and do things you're unsure about. But you're a smart woman and I know you'll make the right decisions. I just want you to be happy. You remember how devastated you were when he broke up with you?"

"I know, yeah." It wasn't easy to forget. "But we both agreed that it was a mistake. I- we're a lot better now." I wasn't sure if I should share what Jimmy revealed to me because, like our original plan for our relationship, I wanted to keep it between us. But if anything is going to convince my mom that we are serious about each other, it's this. "We want to spend our lives together, mom. He-he just told me that he wants and sees a future with me."

With how her eyes widened, I knew this became the most unexpected news I've shared. "That's... big Cindy."

"It is, I know. And don't worry, we're not going to do anything drastic soon. We know where we're going but we're not there just yet." I had a strong feeling that if Jimmy was here, he would say the same. "But to know that he feels that... committed is unreal to me. And there's no doubt in my mind and heart that I feel the same way."

"If I'm being honest, I can't say I'm too surprised. I've seen the way you two look at each other. Now as well as years ago. It's something you really don't see very often." There was something in her eyes as she said that, but I couldn't make out what it was. "Maybe one day, we'll be preparing for your own baby shower."

"Yeah, maybe." With my face getting red, I hoped she couldn't tell I've been thinking that pretty much all day. She wrapped her arms around me and I let out a startled noise before hugging her back.

"Thank you for sharing all this with me. Be sure to tell Jimmy there's nothing to worry about with me. I know he has good intentions despite sometimes skewed executions." I laughed as we pulled away, because even I couldn't deny that. "And if you still wish to keep your relationship private, your secret is safe with me."

"Thank you." I replied with a small smile, knowing I could trust her with this.

"We should keep looking for Libby." She gave her watch a quick glance before speaking again. "Guests will be arriving at any moment."

"Yeah, let's go." I answered as we made our way out of the kitchen.

Within about fifteen minutes, as my mom said, Libby's extended family started arriving and she was still nowhere to be found. That left Sheen, who was growing more and more concerned about Libby by the second, having to represent them both for now. But seeing as the baby part of the baby shower was missing, it wasn't hard to notice her absence.

I sent Jimmy a message updating him that guests were coming and no one has been able to reach Libby on her phone. Within a couple of minutes, he answered that he almost had the cake and would be back soon. Though this wasn't as important as getting our friend back, it at least meant one thing was going right.

"Hey, anything?" Carl appeared by my side and spoke.

"No. I've called her a bunch of times. Straight to voicemail." We stood in the doorway between the house and backyard, away from everyone so they couldn't hear and make their own assumptions of what was going on.

"There's a lot more people here. Has anyone asked about her?"

"Yeah. Her mom, Sheen, and I have been telling everyone she's upstairs getting ready because she was running late. That's not going to fly forever so we may have to put out the food soon. We can't do any of the activities we planned without her. Do you know anything?" Figuring he would have said something by now, I still felt the need to ask.

"Sheen gave me his keys so I can check their house. Nothing. There's no sign that she's been there or anything."

"Oh my God." I said it to a point of near desperation under my breath though I knew he could hear me. "This is really unlike her, you know? I'm not even saying she had to tell me, but to not tell anyone where she is or what's going on? That's insane. How much longer until she's considered a missing person, do you know?"

"I don't, but we're going to find her Cin. Don't wor-." Carl's insistence on me not worrying was interrupted by my phone ringing in my purse. I rushed to answer it, my heart pounding and not seeing the name on the screen.

"Hello?"

"Cindy, hey."

"Jimmy!" I exclaimed, catching Carl's attention. "Tell me you're on your way back. No updates on Libby so I hope you have some good news."

"Umm, well-." And just then, a scream that sounded like it came from a familiar voice came through the phone.

"Jim? What's going on?"

"So I'll just err, cut to the chase: I found Libby and she went into labor and now we're heading to the hospital."

"WHAT?" I yelled and Carl signaled that he also wanted to know what was going on. I angled the phone for both of us to hear but refrained from putting it on speaker.

"I went to the Candy Bar, asked for the cake, and while I was waiting for it, I saw Libby sitting in one of the booths and- and I told her everyone was looking for her. So we got up to leave and her water broke."

"What?" I repeated with a shake of my head, unable to believe what I was hearing and half thinking it was a joke.

"What part of that was unclear? I-"

"Hey girl." Libby, who sounded far more calm than she did a few seconds ago, got on the phone. "I know it sounds crazy but yeah, Jimmy is taking me to the hospital." I noticed her take in a sharp breath. "I'm okay. I promise. I'm with Jimmy, who looks nearly as terrified as I do." I could only imagine. "How are things going over there?"

"Not great. You're kind of carrying the guest of honor Libs."

"I'm sure not for too much longer." Another sharp breath. "I don't want anyone there to panic. I swear I'm okay. But could you, somehow, grab Sheen and my parents and get them to the hospital?"

"Right. Okay." I nodded while taking some deep breaths of my own.

My God, this is really happening.

"What's your ETA?" Carl asked, now being the stable one of us two.

"Hey, Carl," Libby greeted and I could tell she smiled at hearing his voice. "Umm-."

"About ten minutes," answered Jimmy.

"Alright, on it. See you guys there." With that being the final words, Jimmy hung up and as my phone screen turned off, a bunch of thoughts that I couldn't put in a sensical order rushed through my head.

"Hey, Cindy, are you okay?" Of course, all my emotions were going to read on my face.

"Yes, I'm fine. It's just, you know, not everyday your best friend has a baby."

"Yeah," he grinned. Releasing a breath, I leaned against the wall as I realized my prediction about it being a long and difficult day was coming true. "You take a minute. I'm going to get Sheen and Lib's parents and we'll go over together, okay?" With a nod from me, he stepped towards the backyard where everyone was located.

"Hey!" I called out before he was out of earshot.

"Yeah?" Carl came back.

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"For not telling anyone about Jimmy and I. You were technically the first person to know. Before it even really happened."

"Yeah, I mean," his smile grew into a smirk. "when you called me for his address, I figured it could only be for one reason."

"Right." As he said it, I thought back to that other incredibly long day with an unforgettable ending. "But still, you could have said something. To Sheen or Libby mainly. But you didn't and he and I have really been working things out."

"You two doing okay?"

"Yeah," and again I thought back to what Jimmy and I spoke about in the pantry. "We're far more than okay."

"Good. I'm glad." He knocked his head in the direction of the backyard. "I gotta go." I nodded in agreement just before he stepped away again.

We got to the hospital quickly enough. Libby's parents drove over together while Sheen and I rode over with Carl behind the wheel since Sheen, upon receiving the news that his wife went into labor in the most unexpected time and place, wasn't exactly in the right state to be driving.

Dropping Sheen off at the hospital entrance, he all but ran out of the car and disappeared behind the automatic doors. By the time Carl and I made it up to the maternity ward, Libby's dad had arrived, pacing as any soon to be grandpa would. Jimmy was here too, and frantically stood up when he saw us. Thinking he should not go in with Libby, as he wasn't the father, Jimmy kept assuring her that Sheen as well as her parents would be here any moment and has been out here since, though he says it was only about ten more minutes until the rest of us arrived.

All we had to do now was wait.

In an attempt to distract myself but still thinking of Libby, I turned to Jimmy sitting next to me, hoping he could now thoroughly explain what he briefly did on the phone.

"So what happened exactly? At the Candy Bar?"

"I walked in. It was busy at the time. Took a couple minutes to ask for the cake and while I was waiting for it, I saw Libby sitting in one of the booths. It was right after I texted you." I nodded, waiting for him to continue. "I wasn't entirely sure it was her so I approached her and she turned and saw that it was me. She asked why I was there and I explained and-and I told her we were all looking for her." Already I could tell he was hesitating on something. Carl, who was sitting only three seats away, was paying attention now too. "She said her phone died and that she had come to get the cake because she knew someone would forget. But when she got there, she started craving a milkshake so... that's how I found her. In the booth. She said she was going over what else needed to get done and lost track of time. I helped her get up so she could leave and I'll get the cake and then..." He gestured with his hands, and we both knew what he meant by that. "We tried to leave without making a scene but her water did break and you could hear how much pain she was in. I got her in the car, headed here, and I called you on the way."

Now that we were caught up, I was able to see the stress on Jimmy's face. He went from having a simple task to perhaps the hardest of the day within minutes.

"Well, the important thing is you got her here safely. That's what matters. You did good, Neutron." I took his hand in mine and smiled. He squeezed it while he looked back at me.

"Where's the cake now?" Carl asked. I threw him a look, as if that was really an important question.

With a small laugh, Jimmy responded. "I guess back at the Candy Bar? We left really abruptly but I'm sure they know it's our cake. It's back in their freezer, I suppose." A light hum came from Carl, accepting that as his answer. "Speaking of food," Jimmy moved to stand up, "I'm going to get something from the vending machine. Anyone want anyth-?"

Just then, the double doors leading into the delivery rooms burst open. Out came Sheen wearing blue disposable scrubs and a cap. But most noticeable was the ear-to-ear smile he had on. Like we were following an order, Mr. Folfax, Carl, Jimmy, and I stood and faced him. Sheen took a couple of steps closer before speaking.

"He's beautiful."

We all erupted in cheers, filling up the waiting area.

"It's a boy?!" asked Carl. Sheen nodded, tears in his eyes for likely not the first time today.

"Yeah, yeah, he is. He's amazing. Everything went great. Safe delivery. Libby's a fucking champ. She's unreal."

"When can we see her?" I asked impatiently.

"Soon. They're clearing everything up and putting her in a room so hopefully soon. I'll come get you guys. Or one of the nurses will. Or someone will tell you."

"Okay, of course." Jimmy answered for us all. "How do you feel, man?"

"A little of everything all at once." It was probably the most serious I've ever heard Sheen speak. "But so damn happy." Seeing Sheen react like that and for this reason is what did it for me. The tears started coming down before I could stop them. "Alright, I have to get back. I'll see you guys later." He exchanged a firm handshake with Libby's dad right before he walked back into the same doors he came from. Letting the emotion get the better of all of us, the four of us embraced.

Though it felt like another eternity, nearly two hours later, Jimmy, Carl, and I were finally able to see Libby and meet the newest member of her family. Naturally, she wanted to see her parents first and with there being a limit to how many people can be in the room at once, it made sense we would have to wait just a little longer.

But now, as a nurse led us through the hallway towards the room where Libby would be staying for the next couple of days, I was practically jumping with excitement. Jimmy held on to my hand, mostly to calm me down. Remembering that Libby still doesn't know about Jimmy and I being back together and not wanting her to get any ideas or get distracted, I released his hand as we approached the room.

"I'm okay." I mouthed to him when he turned to look at me. With a single nod, he faced forwards again.

"Alrighty, here we are." The nurse spoke as she held the door open for us to walk through. Libs was lucky enough to get a room to herself so she was the first person we spotted. Sheen was squeezed into the space between her and the armrest. Noticing she was holding the baby, I ran up to the side of her bed before the door had fully closed, while Carl and Jimmy gathered around as well.

"Hey guys!" Libby greeted as we surrounded her. She looked exhausted and ecstatic at once. The trepidation she's had her entire pregnancy is not as noticeable anymore. "Thank you for being here."

"Oh Libby, he's gorgeous!" I looked down at her son in her arms, unable to believe what I was seeing.

Eyelashes fluttering and eyes barely open, a full head of dark hair and rounded cheeks. That was all we could see of him since he was securely wrapped in the standard hospital blanket. Carl poked his finger out and moved it against the cloth, trying to get a reaction.

"Hey, little guy. Welcome!"

"He's beautiful, you two. Congratulations." Jimmy said.

"Thank you." The new parents answered in unison. "And thank you Jimmy. My hero. I don't know what I would have done if you weren't around when my water broke." Libby continued.

"Well, I guess you can thank Cindy for that. She's the one that had me go get the cake."

"Yeah, and that also didn't go as planned." I said playfully with a lift of my eyebrow. And because that interaction let our guard down just a little bit...

"Oh my God." Libby looked at Jimmy and I each a couple of times before speaking again. "You two are back together!"

A lot of things were incredible about this day, but Libby saying that so confidently and accurately while holding her newborn was at another level.

"What- how... how did you figure that out?" I answered, knowing better than to deny it.

"Well, look at you two! With the suggestive eyes and the banter... I know you guys better than anyone. God, you've probably been together for weeks now and I've clearly been too distracted," she lifted her arms gently, "to notice." The chuckles coming from the guys did nothing to deter her thoughts. "Did you already know?!" She directed at Sheen.

"I only found out this afternoon." Sheen held up a hand defensively. "Carl here, on the other hand..."

"Look," He began, wanting to take the attention off him. "We can talk about how Jimmy and Cindy are experts at sneaking around all we want later. Right now, there's something we really want to know."

"What are you naming him?" Jimmy completed his best friend's thought, because really, we were all thinking it.

Libby and Sheen looked at each other again, a wide, proud grin on their faces.

"Everyone," Libby spoke. "We'd like you to meet our son, Christopher."

Thank you all SO much for reading! This was definitely one of the more challenging chapters to write and believe it or not, I did not get in everything I wanted to. I hope you enjoyed it anyway. To quote Cindy, "a lot of things" happened in this chapter so I hope you guys are up to sharing what you think. Please review!
