Hi all! This is my first time writing a DC Comics fic, but I'm on a DC kick right now and just HAD to write this. I absolutely love superhero pets, and I think it's a crime there isn't a team made up of them. This is my way to rectify that. Sorta.

This series will mostly focus on Haley and Titus, though other Batfam pets and others will also be included. The one-shots are all in the same universe but should be able to be read without having to read all of them. Enjoy!

Also, How is it that there's a character option for Ace but not for any of the other pets?!

Haley whined, but her human still did not wake up. He was out late with most of the humans in the pack last night, leaving Haley with her cousins and the pack leader, Alfred. Haley liked Alfred. He fed her and her cousins delicious things like chicken and beef.

Haley tried whining again, this time adding a nudge and a lick to her human's face. There, that should wake him up! He groaned, but instead of waking rolled over and kept sleeping. Haley huffed in annoyance. That's just plain rude!

Waking her human was becoming too much work, so Haley got off the bed, using the little stairs meant just for her. Nudging the door open, she went to find Titus. Not surprisingly, her cousin was just down the hall in his own human's room. The youngest human pack member, Damian, was asleep with Titus next to him. The large dog, however, was awake. Seeing Haley, he jumped off the bed and met her by the door. The two sniffed each other in greeting.

Haley crouched into a play bow and gave a little yip. Titus copied her, and the two ran out the room and down the hall. Before they got too far, Alfred appeared. At the sight of the leader of the pack, both stopped to greet him.

"Good morning, Titus. Good morning, Haley. I do believe it is time for your breakfast. Let's leave everyone to their rest. It is only eight in the morning after all. Master Richard and Master Damian will not be up for an hour or so."

Haley couldn't find a reason to argue with that idea. It was Alfred's best one yet! On the way to the kitchen though, she got distracted a couple times by some new smells in the house.

Jason must have stayed here at the pack den last night. Sometimes he stayed here, sometimes he went to his own den. Haley could smell and hear him in his room. There also was a new coffee spill by Tim's room. It must've happened last night. Even though she couldn't see it, Haley could smell it. She had a very good nose. She could also smell the stuff Alfred used to get rid of the stain. That doesn't smell nearly as nice.

Eventually, they made it to the kitchen. While Titus patiently sat and waited for their food, Haley gulped down some water. Then she tried to mimic her cousin, but couldn't quite sit as still as him. Her tail kept wagging even though she told it to stop, and she wiggled in place. Her human sometimes called it "the tippy tappies." Alfred noticed. Haley had long ago decided that Alfred knew and saw everything. After all, that's why he was the pack leader.

"Oh, you both are so much like your boys. One always in motion, the other rather stoic. And both of you bring such joy to them." As he said this, Alfred placed their food bowls in front of them. Titus's was much larger than Haley's. But that was ok! Haley didn't eat nearly as much anyway.

Her belly now full, Haley started running towards the back door. Alfred always let her and Titus play in the yard after they ate. Sometimes Ace would join them, but he usually preferred to stay by his human's side. That must be where he was now.

Haley didn't understand that. When in the backyard, they could do whatever they wanted as long as they stayed away from the taller plants. That was fine. Haley liked the grass better anyway. There was just so much room to run around! And the flowers with the thorns hurt! Her human had spent a lot of time taking care of the cuts and scrapes Haley got from them.

Running was one of Haley's favorite things. The den she and her human shared did not have a lot of room outside, but this one did. Haley was still searching for the end of the pack's territory. She was determined though. One day, she and Titus were going to explore all of it.

Wait, that's it! Haley knew what she wanted to do today! As Alfred opened the door, Haley jumped up and licked Titus's chin. Then she raced through the yard, barking for him to follow her.

Normally Haley liked to wrestle with Titus near the den, but today she just wanted to run and explore. Titus quickly caught up to her, but let the younger pup lead the way. This was something Haley had seen her human do sometimes with his younger litter mates, Damian and Tim. Never with Jason though.

When they'd reached the furthest spot that Haley had explored before, she paused briefly. Would they be able to find their way back? What if they got lost? What if something came after them? But the thought quickly went away when Titus's shadow covered her. Nothing would happen with Titus around!

As if he could hear her thoughts, Titus bumped his nose against Haley's head. He wagged his tail in encouragement, and they started exploring.

At first the scents were all normal for the backyard or the park her human sometimes took her. But then Haley smelled something new. She and Titus looked where the scent was coming from. It was another animal, one Haley had never seen before. It was smaller than her, brown, and had long ears. Titus gave an excited bark and started running towards the creature, Haley hot on his heels. The creature turned and ran away, showing a small tail that looked like a ball.

The more Haley chased after the creature, the more excited she got. Maybe the creature will be a new friend, or even a cousin! They'd have to apologize first though. She and Titus seemed to scare the poor thing.

After a few minutes, however, it became clear to Haley that the creature was faster than her, and while Titus could somewhat keep up, she couldn't. Titus was a lot bigger than her. Not to mention he had an extra leg. Soon after that, both the creature and Titus disappeared from her view. This made Haley stop altogether to catch her breath.

Then she looked around.

She couldn't see the den, she couldn't see Titus. For the first time since joining the pack, Haley was alone and didn't know where she was. And she didn't know what to do. Whimpering, Haley decided to follow Titus's scent. Hopefully he wasn't too far away.

After about a minute, Haley could hear Titus sniffing around. Yay! Everything was going to be ok. Excited and relieved, she started barking and ran towards him. Titus heard her, and they met halfway. They jumped at each other, but Haley's smaller size meant she was knocked to the ground.

Specifically, right into a patch of mud. Haley growled playfully at Titus. It. Was. On.

It didn't take very long for the two dogs to get obeyed in mud. While Titus's dark fur hid most of it, it showed quite easily on Haley. That's ok, though. Her human will fix it for her. He can fix anything!

Haley was about to jump on Titus again — she was sure she'd knock him over this time! — when they heard humans shouting in the distance.

"Haley! Here girl!" That was her human!

"Titus, heel!" And that was Titus's human! But where were they?

"Relax, Dick. You too, Damian. They've only been outside for a little over an hour. They can't have gotten far. We've only been looking for a few minutes."

"There's no way they could've left the manor grounds unless they jumped over an 8-foot brick wall. But just to be safe, Barbara is checking the cameras."

"I don't think that's helping their nerves, Replacement."

"Oops, sorry."

It was the pack, and they were coming this way! Barking excitedly, Haley started running as fast as she could towards the pack. She could hear Titus right behind her.

"Haley!"

"Titus!"

Titus ran past Haley and jumped on Damian, knocking the human pup to the ground. The pup laughed as Titus licked his face. Haley ran towards her human and jumped on his leg. He immediately picked her up and held her close. Like Titus, she licked his face once she could reach it.

"Well," her human said through his laughter, "it seems you two have already had an adventure this morning! You're gonna need a bath, little one. And a pre-bath with the garden hose. There's no way Alfred is gonna let you in the house like this."

Later, after her bath (which was just as great as she thought it would be), Haley was cuddling with her human on the couch. Damian was on the other side of the room, drawing them with Titus at his side. The scratch of his pencil was the only sound in the room.

Haley wiggled closer to her human and smiled at him, receiving on in return. Who cares if she never figured out how big the pack's territory was? Haley was perfectly content to just stay by her human.

I based my characterization of Haley off of my own dog, Daisy. She's honestly the happiest dog I have ever met.
