Chapter 4: Return of the Bad Trux

Blayde, Splitter and Pounder were driving towards the Acid Baths, looking for a certain Trux. "Are you sure this Trux we're looking for lives around here?" Splitter asked. "I'm sure. There was a lot of talk among the Stegarbasaurs that his hideout's right at this spot." Blayde said. Just as they reached the Acid Baths, they started looking around for something. Blayde found tread prints on the ground. "There. See? Fresh tread prints." She said. Splitter looked closer at the prints. "I see the prints, but where's the Trux who made them?" He asked. "Sometimes, you have to look a little closer to see the obvious answer." Blayde said. She started tapping the ground with her tail, until she heard the sound of metal. "Pounder, care to knock?" She asked. Pounder started pounding the metal as his form of knocking.

Just then, an approaching sound came from under the ground. Then the metal door opened. "Welcome back to the open surface. We heard that you've crossed paths with our old enemies. And we have a proposition for you…Goldtrux." Blayde said, revealing the crazy gold-plated and gold obsessed Stegarbasaur, Goldtrux. "I'm listening." Goldtrux said.

Meanwhile, Ty and his friends were helping some new Dozerotops build up some new metal mounds. Skya had the final piece placed on the last mound. "All done." Ty said. The Dozerotops backed into the mounds and lowered their blades. "Wow! Now this what I call comfort." One Dozerotops said. "Thanks for everything, Ty." The leader said. "Anytime." Ty said. "And do not hesitate to ask for anything else." Revvit said. The leader nodded and relaxed in his mound as the Trux drove away. "So, what now, fellas?" Dil asked. "Now we settle down for some nicely cooked ore." Ty said. "Cooked ore?" Dil asked in confusion. "You gotta try some. Especially after it pops. It's chewy, crunchy and delicious." Dozer said. "Wow." Dil said, her mouth now watering.

The Trux gathered at their lava forge and started cooking their ore. "Come on, guys! How much longer until the popping begins?!" Dil asked impatiently. Just then, the ore started popping. "About right now." Revvit said, catching a piece. Another piece flew right into Dozer's mouth. "Mmm-mmm-mmm! You gotta try it, Dil." He said as he ate. Dil held her mouth open as another piece popped and flew into her mouth. She savored the taste as she chewed it. "Well? What do you think?" Ty asked. Dil couldn't even answer. Instead, she half-fainted off Dozer's blade and onto the ground. The Trux and Tools circled her. "My taste buds will never taste another like that ever again." She said, completely dazed from the taste. "She loved it." Dozer deduced.

"TY!" A voice shouted. "Who's that?" Dil asked. The Trux turned to see a couple of Dozeratops driving towards them. "That is Zera and Tops. They're friends of ours from the Flat Irons." Revvit said. "What's going on, guys?" Ty asked. "We were attacked out in the Flats!" Tops said. "Attacked? By who?" Ty asked. Zera and Tops looked at each other. "Blayde." They said together. "Blayde?! She's back in the crater?!" Dozer asked in surprise. "I'm afraid so. She dozed us out of our home. George, Prong and Horn hung back while we came here to get you." Zera explained. "You did the right thing. Been wanting a rematch with Blayde for a while now." Dozer said. "Then you'll get your wish, Dozer." Ty said.

The Trux made their way to the Flats and started looking for Blayde. "Keep your eyes open. We all know how sneaky Blayde can be." Ty said. "No kidding." Dozer said, knowing Blayde. "And here I thought my actions were going unnoticed." Blayde said, making her appearance. "Blayde." Dozer growled. "Long time, no see, Dozer. I missed you." Blayde said. "Can't say the same to you, Blayde." Dozer said. "I don't know how you managed to get back in the crater, Blayde, but it's time for you to leave." Ty said. "Oh, I don't think so. We've been waiting a long time to get our revenge, and we're gonna take it." Blayde said. "We?" Revvit asked. "We." A voice said. The Trux looked on with shock as Splitter and Pounder appeared to join Blayde. "Splitter?! And the Pounder?!" Click-Clack asked in a fright. "That's right. We're back and badder than ever." Splitter said. "First and final warning, Ty. Stay out of our way. This crater is ours now. Try to stop us, and you'll be sorry." Blayde said as she left with Splitter and Pounder.

After that, the Trux and Tools headed back to the garage. "I didn't expect to see those 3 back in the crater." Skya said. "I've heard of the 3 of them, but how did you meet them anyway?" Dil asked. "Blayde used to be part of the same heard as me, until D-Structs attacked and went rogue. She started driving other Dozerotops out from the Flat Irons, until we came in and outsmarted her." Dozer said. "Splitter was sawing down a forest where a tribe of Woodland Reptools live. We intervened and jammed up his blades." Ty said. "The Pounder appeared and tried to pound down all our builds. We tried to capture him, but I didn't listen and tried to pound back. But I managed to lead him off a cliff." Skya said. "And not long after, all 3 joined up with D-Structs and tried to trap us in Magnet Mountain." Revvit said. "But we haven't seen either of them since we kicked them out of the crater. Until now." Ty said.

"Well, they're not scaring me! I'll doze them right back out of the crater if I have to!" Dozer said. "Easy, Dozer. Remember, we still outnumber them, 11 to 3. They won't stand a chance by working as a team." Ty said. "Uh, I wouldn't be so sure about that, Ty." Revvit said, seeing a very unfortunate sight. The Trux gasped at the sight. The garage was a mess. "What happened?" Ton-Ton asked. "They must've trashed the place before we got back!" Dozer said. "Impossible! We were just talking with them!" Skya said. "Wait! Look!" Click-Clack said, pointing to the ground. There were little gold pebbles trailing the ground. "Aren't those-?" Skya asked. "Gold pieces." Revvit said. "Oh no. That means Goldtrux was here!" Garby said. "Goldtrux too?!" Waldo asked in shock. "Isn't he that gold obsessed Stegarbasaur who Tool-napped you, Waldo?" Dil asked. "Yeah, the same." Waldo said, shuddering from the memory of Goldtrux.

"Ugh! Is every bad Trux we've ever faced in on this?!" Dozer asked in anger. "It would appear so. We need to figure out what they're up to." Revvit said. "How? Another one of those Sound Rock plans?" Ton-Ton asked. "I do not think so, Ton-Ton. The last time we tried that, we wound up in a cave filled with Gearwigs." Revvit said. "Ugh! I'm still scrubbing off the feeling from those things clamping my gears!" Dozer shuddered. "How about the Pteracopters? They could spy on them from above." Skya suggested. "I'm afraid that they would probably be seen from the ground if their motors don't give them away." Revvit said. "Well, there's gotta be something we can do!" Dozer said.

Just then, Dil had an idea. "Hey, what if we made an improvement to the Sound Rocks?" She asked. Everyone looked at her. "What kind of improvements?" Waldo asked. Dil hopped over to a rock, activated her drill and started etching. "Well, my idea is that if we can use smaller Sound Rocks and hook them up to the trucks…" She explained as she etched. "We can listen to where Blayde, Splitter and Pounder are attacking." Revvit said. "And we can be there in no time to stop them." Ty said. "Sound Rocks you can wear on your head?" Dozer asked. "A proper name would be Head Rocks." Dil said, showing her plan. "Right then. Let's Trux it up!" Ty said.

The Tools pushed up some tiny rocks. Revvit and Click-Clack slowly carved into the rocks. Xee brought up some metal rods. Dozer used his jackhammer to slightly bend them. Revvit screwed the rods onto the rocks. The Tools then fitted them on the Trux's heads and hooked them with vines. "Boom! Done!" Revvit said. "Dude, we look good!" Ton-Ton said. "Now let's go find those 3." Ty said.

The Trux located Blayde, Splitter, Pounder and Goldtrux near the Flats. They hid behind some boulders so they wouldn't be caught. "Alright. Everyone be quiet. We don't want to repeat the debacle from when they trapped us with those Gearwigs." Ty whispered. The Trux nodded and drove in close to listen in to what the Bad Trux were planning.

"Alright. Driving out the Dozerotops was step one. It's time to move on to the bigger targets." Blayde said. "And what would those bigger targets be? Cementosaurs? Hydrodons? Splitter asked. "I hope it's my former Stegarbasaur friends." Goldtrux snickered. "No. Our next big target is the Gluphosaurs. We all know that they've been supplying the Trux with their glue. We scare off the Gluphosaurs, we cut off their supply of glue." Blayde said. The bad Trux looked at each other and snickered sinisterly as they left.

Fortunately, the Trux heard everything from their Head Rocks. "They're going after the Gluphs. Again." Ty whispered. "We better go and help." Revvit whispered. The Trux drove off to help their friends.

When the Trux got there, the Bad Trux had already engaged in combat with the Gluphosaurs. "Scram, Gluphosaurs! Your territory belongs to us now!" Blayde said, trying to force the Gluphs out with her blade. "Not happening, Blayde! We all know you and your pals aren't so tough without D-Structs ordering you around." The lead Gluph said. "Oh really?" Blayde asked, bashing the Gluph.

Another Gluph was about to be pounded by Pounder. "HEY!" Ty called. Pounder turned to see, only to get slammed in the head by Ty's wrecking ball. Blayde saw as the rest of the Trux join up with Ty. "I thought I made it clear to you Trux to stay out of our way!" She said with anger. "You should've known by now that we never listen to anything you have to say." Skya said. "Then I guess we'll have to make our intensions the hard way. Just the way I like it." Splitter said.

The Trux drove into battle as the Reptools leapt for safety. Ton-Ton bashed into Splitter, avoiding the saws. "Why do I always get the dude with the saws?!" He asked in annoyance. "I guess it must be my sharp personality." Splitter said, trying to saw Ton-Ton. Dozer dozed into Pounder. "You still owe me for my last mound, Pounder!" He shouted, going in for another doze. But Pounder pounded Dozer onto his side. Dozer groaned in pain as Pounder prepared to finish him off. But then, Pounder was pulled back by Skya's hook. "Leave my best friend alone, Pounder!" Skya shouted, swatting Pounder with her tail.

Garby drove in to face Goldtrux. "You want a piece of my golden prowess, Garby?" Goldtrux asked sinisterly. "Sure. Piece by piece work for you, Goldtrux?" Garby asked, launching his spikes at his former friend. The spikes hit Goldtrux, making him mad. "You'll scratch the GOLD!" He shouted, charging into Garby and knocking him on his side.

Ty swatted Blayde with his wrecking ball. "Give it up, Blayde! You're not kicking anyone out of this crater!" Ty said. "Never! You always seem to forget how I work, Ty. Take or be taken. And I rather take!" Blayde said. "Then how about you take THIS!" Ty said, swinging his ball at Blayde again. But Blayde dodged the ball and dozed into Ty. "You'll have to do better than that, Ty!" Blayde said, swinging her tail in Ty's face.

Splitter chased after Ton-Ton. "Stop running you coward! I thought you Ankylodumps were supposed to be tough!" Splitter shouted. "Oh, you want tough, Splitter-dude?" Ton-Ton asked, eyeing a nearby ramp. He drove towards it. Splitter stopped in his tracks, confused at what Ton-Ton was doing. "Well then, YOU GOT IT!" Ton-Ton yelled, driving up and off the ramp, into the air. Then Ton-Ton did his double backflip move and bashed into Splitter, sending him into the rocks. "How's that for tough?" Ton-Ton asked. Splitter just groaned.

Ty struggled to keep up with Blayde's movements. "Look around you, Ty! This is what interfering with our plans gets you!" Blayde said. Ty looked as his friends get clobbered. Pounder bashed Dozer with his hammer. Goldtrux slammed Garby into the rocks. Splitter recovered and slashed his tail at Ton-Ton's face. "Think about it. Did you really think that we're the same Trux you drove out all those years ago? We've changed. Now we're a better team than you ever were." Blayde said. "We'll see about that!" Ty said, whacking Blayde with his ball. "Oh yes, we will." Blayde said, pushing Ty back.

Meanwhile, Stix and the Gluphs watched from afar. "They need help!" One Gluph said. "How can we help? Those bad Trux are way to tough for even us." Another Gluph said. "True. But we're not the only Trux Ty and his friends have befriended in this crater. We can spread out and gather help from all over." Stix said. The other Gluphs nodded and they took off to get help.

Pretty soon, the rest of the Bad Trux pushed back the Trux and the Tools and circled them. "I told you, Ty. We're a way better team now then before." Blayde said. "Maybe so, Blayde. But we've got something you guys will never have." Ty said, noticing something in the distance. "And what might be?" Blayde asked. "He's got friends, blade face!" Stix said, leaping onto and off Blayde's frill. "What?!" Blayde asked, turning to see. Dozens of Trux were coming towards them. Including Crunk and Chunk, the Dumps, Kelper and even Snowblazer. "How is it you have this many friends, Ty?!" Blayde asked in shock. "Because unlike D-Structs, who takes what he wants, I make sure the crater is open to everyone." Ty said. The Bad Trux looked around as Ty's friends surrounded them. "Whatcha gonna do now, topsiders?" Kelper asked, hoping for a fight. "We're way outnumbered, Blayde." Splitter said. Blayde growled and slammed her tail into a boulder. "Come on!" The Bad Trux retreated. The Trux cheered in victory.

Afterwards, the Trux repaired all the damage the Bad Trux have caused. "And that is that." Skya said, fixing the last piece of Zera's mound. "Thank you, Skya." Zera said, making herself comfy. Ty and Revvit looked on. "We were very lucky today. If the other Trux hadn't shown up, we would've been scrap." Revvit said. "Yeah. Blayde was right. They have gotten to be a better team." Ty said. Revvit felt concerned for his friend. "But that doesn't mean that we can't be better too. The Bad Trux may be back now, but they know that we're not going down that easy." Ty said, perking right back up. "Right. After all, without D-Structs leading them, they'll never really be the better team." Revvit said. "Got that right, Rev. Got that right." Ty said.

After being defeated, the Bad Trux retreated to D-Structs old lair. "Ah. Feels good to be home." Blayde said, setting back in. "And this time, we're here to stay." Splitter said. "Especially once we get rid of the Trux once and for all." Goldtrux added. "But not by ourselves." Blayde said. "The D-brothers were defeated because Ty and his friends had help from every Trux and Tool in this crater. With all the friends Ty's made, we'll need help of our own if we are to defeat them." She explained. "You think there might be others like us?" Splitter asked. "We'll never know until we scout out the crater and find them." Blayde said. Pounder pounded into the ground, giving his answer. "That's the spirit. Once we have our newest team assembled, the crater will be ours." Blayde said. All 3 laughed maniacally, knowing that their time is soon at hand.
