A cigarette would be nice right now, you'd have more fun with that than being here at Lex's press conference and tagging the 'Superman' to be. Who wasn't here yet, as guest where arriving from reports to elites alike. As instructed Lex the moment you arrived, thanks to 'Superman' you were to be in a sense not seen or not heard. Stand closest to the stage, he gave you a different phone to update anything related to 'Superman'. You were to follow him around where he went staying a couple of feet behind so it looked as though you were a part of the crowd and guests.

You were surprised he was going to allow you to eat.

This was why you wanted a cigarette, now you felt like John, you could see why he took to those things compared to people. Then again you were underage, still that didn't mean you couldn't still try.

Sighing you lean up against the stage watching the guest arrive, unintentionally you read each of their many...transgression to put it lightly. Some good...some not so good and those where the ones that gave you a slight hunger but you pushed it aside. Now was not the time, a server carrying a tray of hors d'oeuvres passed, you quickly take one and eat it. Having missed dinner, it was coconut shrimp.

Wonderful, well you couldn't be picky, eat it.

Nearly gag, but force yourself to swallow. "I think I'll stop by Golden Dragon to get some noodles after this. They should still be open after this, hopefully." You sigh taking out your other phone and search through the web. More so the news, headlines you saw about villains being taken down or something strange popping up.

It was either the Justice League or the Teen Titans, sometimes just the hero depending on which one that received the spotlight. Each article that appeared knotted your stomach even further.

Jumping over rooftops, the wind pushed in your face, combing through your hair was exhilarating. The first time you did so was on the back of Dick, he took you one time on his patrols or just for fun. You clung to his back like a baby kola, your heart was racing faster than ever did every time he leaped off and in your eyes back then was like soaring over the city lights of night. You had never been so high before, despite your trembling limbs the smile that spread across your lips was the one the biggest you'd ever had and it grew years later. Enjoying the same thing with the Titans and time with John.

Right now...not so much. Clicking your phone off just as a shadow cast over you, look up. It was Mercy.

"Yes?" you said dryly. Tucking your phone away.

Her look alone and raised brow told you what it was, a deep grunt came behind, turning around find Lex with a hard and stern look. How Clark managed to not want to punch this guy was beyond you. Tempted to roll your eyes sit up, give quick false smile and straighten yourself out. Stand and turn around before the podium, take out the other phone, take a few steps back hold it up with the camera on to record.

Pointed it Lex, growled internally snickering. Bloody idiot.

Reporters and others soon turned their attention and crowded around the moment Lex took the stage and opened his mouth. "Ladies and gentlemen, I once again for giving so generously. Together, we will rebuild our great city and ensure that we don't awake to another's doomsday. You've seen him in the news-"

That was your cue in a way, taking a few more steps back angle the camera a bit up and away from Lex. In crowd unware to you for a moment until you caught a whiff of their hidden grief, a familiar face spotted you and was surprised to see you here. Tempted to turn around to whomever it was, resist and keep your attention on the task or job at hand.

"-Though you didn't know who was bankrolling him until now. Ladies and gents, LexCrops one and only new, Superman!"

Astonished gasps filled the plaza, all eyes follow where Lex's pointed and looked. Flying down in a showboating mannerism, Super..man. In his dark leather jacket and shades. Wowing everyone...well almost everyone, you groan softly and roll your eyes. Scoffing as he landed on stage, striking a quick pose, running his fingers through his hair like some person in a shampoo commercial...why he did that you weren't sure. Flipped his collar and as the confetti fell from above he walked strut across the stage, waving to the crowd who cheered and applauded. While you where appalled.

"Enough of this," you end the recording and quickly began working on typing up something to say on social media.

"Hello, ladies!" Super..man, spoke snatching the mic from Lex. You stop and look up. "if you want a hero that measure up," he flexed a scrawny arm. "I'm-"

Lex quickly took the mic back. "And I promise you, that as long as LexCrops exist Superman lives! Metropolises will be protected."

Applauds again, fireworks and even a large banner rolled out from overhead. "Why do they both have to compensate for something?" you sigh, turn back to finishing what you wrote and walk off for a moment while others began taking pictures of the new Superman and Lex.

"The pay might be good," you mutter, "but not my dignity...and there." You finish the somewhat article, upload that and the video as well a few pictures on this Super..man's page, didn't pay attention to what you were doing, bump into something firm and sturdy.

"Whoa, sorry, you okay?" a kind and husky voice.

It was just a bump. "Y-Yeah, sorry," you apologize looking up to the board, bald, dark-skinned.

He gave a kind smile. "That's okay, no harm. No foul, texting a friend?" Noticing the phone.

"Oh," you breathed, shaking your head. "no, not at all. I'm actually just posting something. Articles and stuff."

"Oh, a reporter? Kind of young, but it's never too early to start on a career."

You almost laughed but caught yourself. Shake your head. "Oh, no. No!" Chuckle a bit. "This is more a temporary sort of thing. My umm...my umm..cousin was able to get this internship for me. Since I moved here and...well..."you started pulling a bit at your fingers. Tuck a bit of hair behind your ear. "he works as a journalist and stuff, he's so much better at this than me. Thought it would be good for me to meet and help others in a different way."

"So like community service?" he joked.

You hadn't thought of it like that, and it was so true, laughter slipped from you. "That's so true."

He joined you and reached certain ears. Stopping from his showboating and gander 'Superman' popped his eyes through the slither opening he had from surrounding people wanting to meet him and talk. Lifted his shades to make sure what he saw was matching what he heard. That Kent girl was actually laughing and...was that smile?

Instantly he frowned for a moment, smiled back to the others. Posing for pictures both selfies and photographs alike. Everyone once and awhile looked back in your direction waiting, but you where still talking with that other guy.

"What the heck," he muttered to himself. "she's suppose to be over by me."

Thinking of an idea, one comes, making his way out of the crowd walked around people still followed made his way a few feet over by you. The noise and clamoring overtook your conversation with John Irons, he introduced himself to you, try as you could to out speak him lost. Realizing this John excuses himself and leaves. You understood thank him for his time. Before turning around with a cringed look at 'Superman'. Noticing John left 'Superman' smiled, lifted his shades and gave you a wink. Something he shouldn't have done, your reaction wasn't what he expected. Sharply you turn away, toss your hair back and walk off. Though not before getting a few pictures went somewhere else to post a new article.

Finding a spot by the escalator, lean up against it and do what you're paid to do. This was just simply...so pointless. Everything here, from the media coverage down to the branding Superman's name. Things like this...events like just where rather uncomfortable. You didn't like them then, didn't like them now. Your sour look said it all.

Frustratedly your fingers type away. While your left foot started to tap nervously, your shoulder began to itch.

"Stop fidgeting," Clark would say once he found you, he'd occasionally take you to things like this. It wasn't really something, considering having lived Mr. Wayne, you just didn't well like them. Clark after he found you came over carrying something to drink of you. Non-alcohol of course. Cider or cola. In a fancy tall glass or whatever the waiters would be carrying. "and enjoy yourself."

He'd finish with a smile handing you whatever he had. You'd lift your eyes to him flatly to hide your uncomfortableness and hesitation. While you tried to be stubborn, that didn't stop him. He'd find a way, even if he had to and an extra push. The thought almost caused a smirk, if not for an irritable presence and voice that presented himself carrying something.

Before he could say something you do. "Surprised your not with the other chattering cows. Now leave me alone, I need to finish my work."

"Okay, ouch." 'Superman' scoffed offended. "Hurtful."

You turn a cold shoulder to him."Thought you were invincible or something? Superman," you put up air quotes stirring him more. "wouldn't be wounded by something a trivial as words."

"I wasn't," he said between his teeth. "and I am Superman! I've got the symbol. The treads, everything."

Goodness you couldn't concentrate. "Just because you wear something doesn't give you ownership when you don't understand the meaning behind it. Now, again leave me alone, I need to work. I've got a few articles to put up. Go and gallivant with the others."

"Why are you such a witch?"

"I'm not a witch. I'm annoyed. There's a difference. Hmm, all brawn, no brain really."

"You're really cramping the event, everyone else is having a good time. Enjoying themselves. Enjoying me, you're suppose to be following me and keeping tabs on what I do and how great I am. You're not a doing a good job."

You stop typing, ball up a fist itching to swing it. Resist, take a deep quite breath and relax. Open your mouth to speak.

He beat you to it. "I don't know what your damage is? The place is lite. Bangin', you're dressed nice. But you're sour, won't even enjoy yourself. I mean you did for a minute back there with that other guy, whatever his name is..if you actually where enjoying yourself. I mean," he closed his eyes for a moment. "you could enjoy it better in my presence, I even came over to bring you something to drink and-"

Opening his eyes back up find you gone. Turning around looked through the crowd, found no trace of you. "Where'd she go?" Returning back to the guest looking among the many faces for any sign of long white hair and violet eyes. Found nothing.

With guests and others crowding around 'Superman' wasn't able to fully look. Turned his attention back to the others immersed himself in their attention, flew up so they could admire more, when a uninvited guest suddenly swooped down with force and attacked him. Causing the place to shake and tremble a bit. People fled and ran screaming in all directions to the nearest exit. Some almost knocked you down, if you didn't avoid them. You did get shoved aside, not really sure what going on besides the fear in others step out where you were to see and you couldn't believe it.

One of the other 'Supermen', the one with the visors and red eyes. He too was dressed in his own version of the costume. Color scheme the same and symbol on the front of his chest. The only difference he seem like the more serious part of Superman if not more extensive, not to mention the glowing hands one he had pointed out towards Lex.

Fired.

Thinking quickly, Lex turned to Mercy. "Thank you."

"For what?"

Grabbing her used her to take the blast, Lex ran with Lois to escapes the continuous blasts from the eradicator Superman. They managed to find some sort of coverage, it didn't stop the Eradicator from looking.

Remaining out of his sight, peering around the corner where you hid. Look to the exit. It was just a few feet away, you'd make it. Then again, look where Lois and Lex where cornered and pinned by the Eradicator continuing his attack. Helpless against the...Superman, debate for a moment. You couldn't leave them, but then again this wasn't your fight. None of it was, whatever the outcome that came just came. There was no need for you to step in and...and do something. You just wanted to get away...you just...just...even if you did help you'd just...

Shutting your eyes cover your ears. Crouch down, whimper softly. "..."

"Violet!" Lois shouted. Your eyes snapped open. "Move!"

Your head whirled around and eyes shot upward, at the fast thrown body of the Eradicator hurled in your direction, crashed into the floor. Before you could move out the way, Lex's 'Superman' came and delivered a hard and strong kick. Sending the body crashing into another floor. Large chunks of stone and concreate fell with the body down overhead.

Shit!

You screamed internally, dive, tuck and tumble out the way seconds before becoming flatten. Breaking a heel in the process, almost twisting your ankle, get up quickly check your choker making sure it wasn't broken. It wasn't, kick the heels off and hurry to the exit.

Stop.

Something compelled you to stay and turn around, against your better judgement do it.

Gasp and stare!

It was horrible, if not brutal, there was no way he could keep withstanding that forceful pummeling any longer it was starting to show on his face from Eradicator's direct punches to Lex's Superman, laid on the floor under Eradicator's foot. Each punch sent a small shockwave and produced painful grunts from Lex's Superman. You could feel it, suddenly his pain and it despite the obvious deliciousness was horrible.

Unsure what came over you, rushed, with your shoulder rammed Eradicator, grabbed his arm to prevent him from hitting Lex's Superman. A surprise to everyone, struggling with the powerhouse, knew your might was nothing in comparison, had to stop it.

Grunt. "S-Stop." Hold yourself tightly, turn Eradicator's attention to yourself for the moment.

He stopped, "You are not the priority, but are now considered an accessory and must be eradicated." Stood up, snatched you off like nothing by the throat threw you without prejudice across the room like a rag doll.

Your body skipped, across like a rock on a lake but let dents in the floor instead of ripples, smack against one of the pillars. You were sure you heard something pop after you managed to regain your breathing. Much wasn't said about your spinning head that throbbed sharply. Everything pretty much hurt, you didn't move and laid there. Lois's hands clasped over her mouth, eyes wide, shook her head lightly. Lex just looked watching the bit of blood drizzle from the corner of your lip, his Superman thought upside down saw wrinkle of pain scrunched on your face and the drizzle of blood drop to the floor.

Snapped his eyes back to Eradicator baring his teeth, opened his mouth, to be punch again and again. After a few more Eradicator stopped, stood up, flew off. Lois broke from her reaction and hurried over to you.

Praying you were alright.

In the silence of your mind, explode, snap yourself awake. Turn yourself over, though your vision blurry look ahead where Lex's Superman was, he was still there...but the other one wasn't. Hear a loud boom like a thunderclap coming down, lift your head, see Eradicator flying down like a jet at Lex's Superman, who remained unprotected. Without a thought, ignoring the fire and crunch in your bones, push yourself up, ran over seconds before Lois reached you, dive onto of him. To his shock! Wrap your arms around him, hold him close, it was no or never...you had to do it! You had too! Otherwise...raising a arm up towards Eradicator take a breath ask yourself for forgiveness while also screaming internally why you were doing this, feel the palm of your hand warm up, get ready to blast back and expose yourself.

Feel the pressure and shockwaves closing in, tighten your hold on Lex's Superman, something heavy and fast smashed right into Eradicator mere seconds before he drove into you and Lex's Superman. Saving both your lives. Sitting up with Lex's Superman, see a steel rocket hammer return back to...another Superman. An steel Superman, literally. This person was dressed from head to toe in steel armor suit, with a red cape and the S symbol on his chest. He looked at you both. Something seem familiar about him, he looked at the two of you. Eyes dropped to the hold he saw.

Arms tightened around one another by the waist for Lex's Superman, while yours around the shoulders.

"You and your girlfriend okay?" Steel asked.

Your arms quickly let go, Lex's Superman flushed red for a moment. "Hey! I had that guy!"

Steel walked around him. "By all means go to town Superboy."

"It's Super-man." Superboy turned back to you. As if reading your thoughts. "It's man!"

Ignoring his pouting focus on the situation. Look down. "Let me go." Pry his arms off, he snatched you back, tucked you close when the ground shook and Steel got knocked back into some upper levels causing more large chunks to fall.

Lifting your eyes, look, Steel dropped down. Eradicator turned his attention back to Lex flew closer, hand held out, energy collected in the palm ready to blast. "Surrender Luthor over to Superman and this ends."

Red lasers come out of nowhere and hit Eradicator hard. Knocking him back.

"That's enough!" A familiar voice spoke. Eyes look, another Superman. A cyborg. Half flesh half metal but same color scheme and red cape. Flew down between Lex and Eradicator. "We may see it differently, but in the eyes of the law Lex Luthor is not a criminal. The law is a rule you cannot break, justice is everyone's right. Even for the worst among us."

"Now who the hell are you?" Lex demanded.

"I'm Superman."

Eradicator got up raised a fist and fired. "There is only one."

Cyborg Superman dropped down, blocked the attack. Lex with Lois flee. As the two engage. Matched in strength, they crashed and bashed all around the complex. Breaking and smashing all around. Causing more debris to fall and break. Shaking the place. It wasn't safe to be here anymore.

"We better bail." Superboy said turning to you, you stand managing to get yourself out of his hold. Stagger a bit, he tried to help you. "Hey!"

You refused and held yourself together. "I've got it." Hold up a hand, he tried to stop you, but you stepped back, turned, hurried away. Holding your arm, avoiding fallen debris, make it to the exit, leave. Just as a fire started, needing a place to hid away from eyes so you could...fix yourself.

The place explodes!

With a snap, engulf your flames around you and teleport away. Unsure where to go, land in a trash bin on a stack of bags in the alley. Not really where you wanted to be, ignore it for now rest a hand on your heart mutter a few words and a thin flicker of flames outline you, the pain slipped away. In about a few minutes you felt fine, some was still there but not that much. Laying on the stacks of bags for a little while longer remembering something, you wanted noodles. Rolling off being careful where you landed walk out and head to the Emperor Dragon.

It took around thirty minutes, it wasn't closed. Good. Enter.

Mr. Yu rose a brow at your appearance, but didn't ask by the look you gave. You greet him with a small wave and smile. Put up the number four, he understood and rung up your order while the chef prepared it. In ten minutes it was ready, giving a nod of thanks leave, and head home.

The night was chilly, that was okay. Walking down the street, it shouldn't take long to get home. Two figures who noticed you began to follow, quickening their pace, reach you. Extend a hand grab hold. Stopping you.

"Where ya headed at such a late night sweetie?" he chuckled. His friend came around the front, standing before you. Blocking. With a smug smirk. Goodness their breath stunk. "Hey," he yanked. "did ya hear me? I asked you a question."

Your eyes slide back. "I heard you and here's your answer." Hold up your bag. "I'm going home to eat. I've had a long night."

They snicker, the one holding you, felt his eyes trail over you. "Well," he leaned in tightening his hold. Whispered. "how about we find a nice place to relax and rest. What da say?"

His friend stepped closer. Reached out, your leg snapped up with a kick to the face. Knocked him back, drawing a bit of blood, the one holding you was stunned for a moment. Snatched you back roughly.

Hissed. "I wouldn't have done dat! Now I'm gonna have to get rough! Here was being a gentleman, you just lost that!" Slammed you against a wall, you remained unfazed. Irrigating him further. He took out a small blade. Pressed the cold, sharp, metal against your throat, and his body on you. Snickered. "Scream. I dare you." You didn't. He pressed harder. "Come on. I dare you! I dare you! I dare-"

"I dare you to shut up."

Superboy dropped down. Snatched the guy by the collar, threw him across the street. Dusted his hands off. "Well, at least he shut up," he laughed turning around finding you gone. "Again?"

A small spout of black flames spiral out the floor of your apartment, disappear, leaving you. "That was eventful," you dust yourself off. Hold up the bag. "hmm...a little cold. Better heat it up."

Walking to the kitchen, set the bag on the counter, take out a plate, open the four small containers pour the food out. Open the microwave, put in it, and start it. "Now, for a bath."

Getting your relaxed attire set them on the bed, take off your choker, and head to that bath, that ended up being a shower instead. You had a lot to get out, washing out all the muck and dirty from your hair. The stink from your body, twice. Hear the microwave beeped. Finish.

Step out, grab a towel, wrap it around, exit. Stretch. "Eat some noodles, finish that one show," run your fingers through your hair, drying it at the same time. Hear the sound of someone eating. To your right. Turning slowly towards that direction, towards the kitchen find two things.

Superboy! Again in your apartment, eating your food!

You would have been upset if not for the way he stared at you. By you, as in the way his eyes stared at your tail.

"You...have...a...tail?"
