Your heart, barely kept together, almost broke at the sickly and worn sight of your sister, of Raven laying on the bed you provided for her after she collapsed on the proch. You managed to catch her with your free arm before she hit the ground, the extra weight almost dropped you and Joanna too. Luckily you managed to hold your balance for a moment, until extra help, given by Damian who rushed over with Clark helped you with her. Despite your initial feelings of their presence, didn't override your familia feelings. They took over that moment, quickly ushered everyone in and offered aide. Raven you had taken to the guest room, asking what was going on with her...quickly picked up what was in a sense poisoning her.

Trigon.

You could feel it, after a quick light touch on her gem hear his roaring rage. You even for a moment saw him. He screamed and you fled. Keeping Joanna by you quickly gather a bowl of water and cloth, sit by Raven's side tending to her. Dipping the cloth in water, dab her forehead lightly. The others stayed out, waiting in the living room.

She looked so...so weak...paler than usual...sullen too. You could see the bags under her eyes...the near skeletal look, her cheek bones sickly exposed. This was a huge contrast to the Raven you remembered. The strong, healthy one. Now...none of that, your heart crumbled a bit, you barely held back the tears that rose. You didn't want to imagine the horrors...you just couldn't. Seeing her alive, even like this...gave you a small sense of relief that she was alright. Her presence was felt the moment she arrived, at first you weren't fully sure...but when she stepped over the threshold you knew it was her.

"No, don't touch," you tell Joanna, moving her hand away from the bowl she reached for, "that's not for you. Be still. I need to tend to her for a bit more."

She seemingly understood and withdrew her hand back, began sucking her thumb looking around the room found her eyes resting on Raven with a perceiving look, the same for the gem that held her attention. You hadn't noticed, still dabbing Raven here and there. Dip the cloth back in the water, wring it and fold it, set it on her brow. Silently stay by her side, rest a hand on hers, give it a slight squeeze.

There so much you wanted to say...say to her right now. But instead lash it against yourself...the pit in your stomach hardens. It nearly dropped if Joanna hadn't suddenly started bouncing up and down next to you. Fussing happily, began whining. She only did that when Conner returned back. You didn't want to leave Raven's side, but Conner was back and you had to make sure he came back alright. Nothing you needed to fix, also Joanna's fussing was making hard and Raven needed to rest. Conner could take Joanna and you could come back...but you didn't like to leave Joanna's side really. Struggling on what to choose for a moment, come to a decision.

Picking scooping up Joanna, quietly and quickly leave the room. Shutting the door softly, hurry to the kitchen hear Conner talking and greeting Clark. Your heart skipped joyfully at the sound of his voice, it jumped in relief seeing he came back in one piece. Though he had suitcase you were sure he didn't leave with this morning. It didn't matter you, he was back and that's all that mattered.

Joanna happy near high-pitch scream announced your presence. Conner stopped with Clark, looked over at the two of you. His eyes lite up warmly, especially at little girl. Stepping away walks over and scoops Joanna from your arms with one hand and with the other hugs you. Kissing both her and yours forehead. Joanna's was quick, yours a bit longer. Damian turn away, biting back what was rising. John...stared...after getting a good look at you, stared with wide eyes...at your smile and the sound of Joanna's laughter. That continued for another minute. Clark couldn't help but smile a little. Looking at the three of you, suddenly noticed something small and circle around Conner's and your finger. Leaving him surprised when he realized what it was...or could be.

Looking back at Joanna then you...it clicked and he was...just stunned. Now...he wasn't sure if he really wanted to do this...seeing this, but, Lois told him one already said yes and he needed you right now. He needed anyone would could fight and offer their strength.

"How's your sister," Conner asked you, quietly, gently creasing your cheek with the back of his hand.

Your eyes drop a little from his, whisper back, voice heavily concerned, "She's in bad shape. Her temperature is high and she needs a lot of rest. Majority of her energy is being used against Trigon. She's resting now, but I might...I..."

He understood what you where going say, "I'll watch Joanna, take care of Raven." Your eyes look at Joanna worried, not wanting to leave her, but he assured you she'd be fine.

Hesitant at first...eventually agree. Giving her a kiss, excuse yourself from the others, head back to Raven. "I hope you don't mind if I come?" Damian spoke, you stop and look at him. He looked right pass you walking over. Stopping by your side, eyes forward. You slightly stiffen from his presence. "After you."

Unsure for a moment, remember Raven, and allow him to come. Conner watches the two of you walk quietly with some distance in-between back to Raven. He turned back Clark and the others hearing the door shut. Knowing what this was all about.

"Why don't we talk in the kitchen, these walls aren't as solid as they use to be," he said, walking to the room. "we can talk shop there."

Over with you and Damian, the two of you sat in silence on either side of Raven. Neither one of you saying a single thing, yet the thickness was suffocating you could barely breath...remain focus on Raven. She looked worse now, Trigon was really doing a number on her. Wet cloths could only do so much, there was one thing you could do...but you'd rather not. Hearing Raven's exhausted moan, changed your mind. Lifting your hands set them on either side of her head. Lean down and touch the tip of your forehead to the gem, instantly had your conscience sucked into the gem...into Trigon's prison. Tied and shackled by Raven's energy...spot Raven weakly restraining him.

"Raven!" you call, hurry over to her.

The sound of your voice and presence surprised her for a moment. "Violet?"

You flash her a small smile, take her hand, and hold out the other one. Directly at Trigon, his eyes sneer at you. Glow with rage, opens his mouth ready to shout, with a wave of the hand, black fire constructs shot out and gag him. Form a fiery cage around him. A bit of you struggled a little, but you managed to encase him. Nothing but his furious grunting could be heard. It would have to do for now, turning back to Raven staring calmly...with not expression at you. Only blinking maybe twice, you kept your eyes lowered for a moment under her eyes. How could you look at her...right now?

What was she thinking? Even in her mind you weren't sure...nor could you tell. You only came in here to help her out and that was it. But, if you lived...you'd have to face Damian...who's burning eyes you could feel even now. You weren't sure what words you could say right now that...would even help. The longer you remained in silence like this...

"Violet," Raven broke the silence, taking a step towards you, sets a hand on your shoulder, you flinch a bit, "how have you been?"

The question was so simple...and caring...you could barely keep yourself together. Swallowing the tears ready to fall, lift your eyes to her. Smiling a little, stand with your shoulders back. She took off her hood, getting a better look at you...you looked much older...not too much but enough. Nearly her height...missing by 1/2 an inch. Your hair was much longer, she honestly thought you would have cut it, guess not. To her surprise you remained in demon form. Minus the extra set of eyes. You looked a little thinner but that was pretty much her too. She saw the sullenness in and under your eyes just like hers. She had an idea why, she could see it in your eyes even without you saying it.

It was there just as she thought, she should have provided you with the right tools or...at least spotted it sooner. It pretty much consumed you. Opening her mouth, Raven wanted to say something else...but closed it...it wasn't the time. No matter how badly she wanted to say it...right now wasn't the time nor place, there was more pressing matters. Still, she could at least...quickly catch up. Opening her mouth to say it, closed it again...it wasn't the place nor time.

Shoving that down, speaks, watching your eyes harden indefinitely in response to what she just said.
