"Let's watch Fuuto, Iori's, and Ema's movie tonight!" Wataru cheered as Ema and Ukyo made dinner. "It's premiering tonight with Fuuto's new song, right?"

Ema froze. Somehow, any of the other Asahinas seeing that movie hadn't occurred to her—but of course they'd watch it. They'd watched all of the anime she'd been in, after all. It wasn't like she could ask them not to watch it—then she'd have to tell them why. And it wouldn't be fair to not ask them to watch something their brothers participated in.

Her embarrassment was probably silly. It was just acting. They all knew that, right? But then other thoughts she should have considered long before now crowded into her head. Fuuto was a popular idol. What if her classmates saw the movie? Silently, she prayed they would think it was just an actress who looked like her. After all, you wouldn't suddenly expect your classmate to be in a movie, right?

"Something wrong, Ema?" Ukyo asked, peering at her through his glasses with concern.

She flushed red. "Oh, no, sorry." She went back to making dinner, her eyes on Wataru and Masaomi doing Wataru's homework.

"Wataru," she called, "you're welcome to watch the mini-movie, but I'm not sure you'll like it. Mostly it's just about dating and brothers fighting."

"It's a love triangle, isn't it?" Masaomi asked. "To go with Fuuto's new song about loving someone you can't have because they're already taken."

Ema nodded as Wataru asked, "What's a love triangle?"

Masaomi and Ukyo exchanged uncomfortable looks. Wataru would enter junior high next year, so he was almost thirteen, but Ema wasn't certain what age it was appropriate to start discussing romance and dating with kids. Her dad hadn't ever really had that conversation with her. Everything she knew and all the advice she got came from Arisa and Hikaru.

Ukyo cleared his throat. "It's when two people want to date the same person. Since there are three people involved, it's called a love triangle."

"Huh," Wataru said swinging his legs. "So it's a good thing? Because more people want you?"

Ema almost choked on her spit at Wataru's response. That was an interesting perspective.

"Complicated," Ukyo corrected, his voice dry. "It's a complicated thing, not a good thing. One or both the people won't be chosen by the person they like, so there will be hurt feelings."

"Ohhh," Wataru said, drawing out the word. "So is the movie a sad movie?"

"I don't know it's necessarily meant to be sad, so much as portray what the song is about," Ema said, though Fuuto's character was the main character and in the end didn't get the girlfriend and destroyed his already tense relationship with his older brother. "I guess for one brother it's a happyish ending and for one brother it's a sad ending." Iori's character would rather have his girlfriend with him then his brother, so he gets what he really wanted—but he still loses a brother.

"I guess it'll be good for learning about dating then," Wataru said going back to his homework.

"Dating?" Ukyo sputtered. "You're too young to think about dating."

Masaomi added, "I don't think dramas are where you should look for information about dating. You should talk to us or to mom."

"But none of you have girlfriends," Wataru said, his voice dubious. "Only Kaname does, but he has lots and I only want one."

Ema struggled to hold in her giggles. The Asahina brothers were so amazing that she imagined they weren't dating by choice and not because they couldn't get a girl if they wanted one.

"Wataru," she said, "just because your brothers don't have girlfriends right now doesn't mean they don't know about dating. A lot of them have had girlfriends in the past."

"But then they lost them," he countered.

Ema could hear Ukyo grit his teeth.

"Or maybe they left them," she countered. "Most people don't find one person and then marry them, Wataru. It can be good to date multiple people to learn more about what you like and don't like in a companion. And you probably won't find the right person for you on your very first try."

"Well, I want just one," Wataru pouted. "I want to be with the same girl my whole life."

"Then you'd better wait a long time to date so you can find out everything you'd like in a girl," Ukyo said in a clipped voice. "Which brings us back to you not worrying about dating. For years."

Wataru pouted again and Ema hid her smile from Ukyo. It was a sweet thought to only want to be with one person your whole life. You could avoid so much hurt that way. Ema wasn't necessarily planning for her next boyfriend to be her last, but she did hope she'd choose more wisely than the last two times. However things went with her next relationship, she hoped it wouldn't end in heartache.

After dinner, Ukyo, Ema, Masaomi, Tsubaki, and Yusuke gathered to watch the movie. She was glad more brothers weren't home. And she hoped no one would be weird about her kissing Fuuto and Iori.

She couldn't relax the whole movie, instead squirming uncomfortably as she waited for the kiss scenes. When they finally arrived, she kept her gaze carefully focused on the TV, not looking at any of the brothers.

~.~

Masaomi fought a frown as he watched Fuuto, then Iori kiss Ema. Not because he was upset—he was worried Ema may have felt pressured to do the movie by Fuuto. He knew she wanted to try new experiences, but he hoped Fuuto hadn't bullied her into doing something she wasn't comfortable with. He wanted to bring it up with her to make sure, but didn't know how without making it awkward.

~.~

Ukyo ground his teeth together as he watched Fuuto make out with Ema. And then Iori kissed her. At least that one was just a quick kiss. Unless there would be more kissing before the end. First the twins for the anime, now Fuuto and Iori for this movie. Clearly, the entertainment industry was without morals. How could they have a minor kiss someone? Not that he had a problem with minors kissing in general, but they shouldn't do it for other people's entertainment.

He couldn't help wondering whose kiss Ema preferred his—or one of his brothers? He tried to console himself with the thought that, despite the circumstances where he'd kissed her, he'd genuinely wanted to kiss her rather than just been acting. But maybe his brothers genuinely wanted to kiss her too.

~.~

Yusuke wanted to cry at the unfairness of it. Fuuto and Iori both got to kiss Ema. Fuuto got to kiss her a lot.

It would have pissed him off regardless, but Fuuto was trying to get closer to Ema lately. At first Yusuke wondered if he was imagining it, but now he was certain he wasn't. Had Fuuto asked Ema to do this just so he could kiss her? Sure, Ema did a good job acting, but there were plenty of pretty girls out there who were actually in the acting industry. Ema wasn't.

His fists clenched as his heart constricted. It felt like Ema was getting farther and farther away from him. She'd already experienced all these amazing things in her life and now she'd been asked to voice an anime, a game, and act in a mini-movie with a popular star. How could he ever hope to be good enough to catch her attention?

The movie ended and Wataru said, "I wish I could have played Fuuto's character."

"Did you and I watch the same movie?" Tsubaki asked, raising one eyebrow. "It's Iori's character who got the girl, not Fuuto's."

"Yeah, but Fuuto got to kiss Ema more," Wataru said, turning innocent eyes on his older brother.

"Wataru!" Ukyo chastised as Ema was sure her face turned red. But this was Wataru they were talking about—he probably didn't really mean it the way it sounded. He was too innocent for that, right?

Then she wondered if there was a particular reason he'd brought up dating earlier. Did he have a girl he liked? But then why was he insinuating he wanted to kiss Ema?

Tsubaki laughed. "Wanting to play a particular character because you find their role more interesting is fine, but if you do something like that because you want to kiss someone, people might call you a pervert."

"Tsubaki!" Masaomi yelled, as he covered Wataru's ears. "Don't say things like that in front of Wataru. You know he didn't mean it like that." He glanced at the TV, now playing a commercial. "He's probably just too young to watch something like this, that's all."

Ema wanted to cover her face and sink into the floor. She hadn't expected helping Fuuto out to become so complicated.

"Acting is just acting," Ema told Wataru when Masaomi removed his hands. "They don't count as real kisses, right, Tsubaki?"

"Right," Tsubaki agreed, nodding. "If someone asked me how many girls I've kissed, I'd never count anyone I kissed as part of my job. Wataru, what you can't see is all the people standing around them as they kiss. Even in a recording booth, there are still people who can see you. People act to make things seem romantic, but it's not romantic to kiss someone while a bunch of other people are watching."

Wataru's eyes were serious as he listened to Tsubaki, as though he were taking mental notes. Ema wanted to ask Wataru if there was someone he liked—but she was a little afraid to. It was possible he had a crush on her, but she figured that if she ignored it, it would go away.

Yusuke left his door open that evening, listening for when Fuuto got in. The moment he heard Fuuto's bedroom door open, he sprang out of his room.

"Hey!" he yelled.

Fuuto startled, then glared at him. "What, idiot?"

"Do you like Ema?" He blurted the words without thought. He knew he wanted to confront Fuuto, but he hadn't thought out what to say beforehand. He'd wanted to, but the image of Ema in Fuuto's arms with his lips on hers flashed through his head every time.

"What?" Fuuto asked, his eyes wide.

"Do you like Ema?" Yusuke repeated.

Fuuto stared at him another moment before rolling his eyes. "It's late. I'm going to bed." He went into his room and tried to shut the door behind him. Yusuke blocked it with his foot.

"Does that mean yes then?" he demanded.

"Why are you even asking? I'm a nationally famous idol and she's some girl living with us. Do you really think I'd be attracted to her?"

For a moment, Yusuke felt placated. This was Fuuto, after all. He probably thought no one was good enough for him. But even if Fuuto didn't think Ema was good enough for him, that didn't mean he didn't want her.

"Why did you have her be in your stupid movie?"

Understanding dawned in Fuuto's eyes before his mouth curled into a smirk. "You're jealous about a kiss between actors? That means nothing, you idiot. It's called acting for a reason. My character also threatened to beat up his brother. Are you worried I'm going to wait outside Iori's room with a baseball bat?"

Heat crawled up Yusuke's face. He hated that Fuuto always had the upper hand in their conversations.

"Anyway, I didn't ask Ema to do it. The producer demanded that Iori join the cast and he's the one who insisted Ema do it too. I'm going to bed now."

Fuuto kicked Yusuke's leg and Yusuke jumped back with a curse, hoping on one foot as he rubbed his leg. But his mind wasn't on the pain. When had Iori gotten close to Ema?

A/N: I didn't originally plan to write this chapter, and then I thankfully remembered that I should have at least some of the brothers find out about and react to Ema kissing two of their brothers on TV, lol.
