After three months of waiting, here's chapter 13!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE! Hope everyone is having a great holiday! :D
I'm so so so sorry for the long wait but I had to wait for the episodes first and then come up with ideas. Plus I've been busy with work what with the holidays coming and all. You know how it is.
But before I go any further, I want to tell you my opinion about the recent new episode, "The Real Thomas". My thoughts? Worst. Episode. EVER! I don't mean to be a downer but that special just about ruined my evening. I preferred Thomas the way he was on the show and not some spy bent on taking over the park! What were the writers thinking?! And giving him a different name, background, and turning his mom into a robot?! What. The. Heck?! Never thought I'd say this but this is the 1st RS Special that I HATE!
But, that doesn't mean I'll quit Regular Show because of this atrocity. As a true fan, I'll still love Regular Show no matter what. And I'm going to pretend this episode never happened, hence the alternate version of #160. Also, when you get to the last drabble, pretend that Benson never met Natalie okay? Sorry for sounding like a downer, but I just had to get that off my chest.
Anyway, thanks go to Park Ryder for the ideas with this and for coming up with the name for Mordecais mother. Now, just like with Mona, I'll change it if they give her a different name. Also, Park Ryder helped me think of a similar idea for #154 for the sequel of Everyone Cries. Thanks hon'! :)
Also, sorry if this is a little short and not perfect but I wanted to get this done as soon as possible. So please don't hate me if it's not perfect.
And another thing. Even though I personally never played this game, I have been getting into the popular horror game Five Nights At Freddy's. I am currently in the process of making a one-shot starring one of my OCs, Stacy.
Well that's all for now and be sure to keep an eye out for the next segment of Personality Drabbles! :) Until nex time, enjoy!
I don't own Regular Show or the characters. They belong to JG Quintel.
152. Caring (Tent Trouble)
"Trouble with the tent?" CJ raised her eyebrow, "Looks more like you got into a wrestling match to me."
Mordecai and Rigby looked at each other before the blue jay spoke up, "Well, about that..."
They told the truth and both CJ and Eileen looked at them with jaws dropped and wide eyes.
"I'm really sorry we broke your tent, CJ." Mordecai apologized, "But, I hope this makes up for it."
"I don't care about a stupid tent!" CJ said as she gave Mordecai a gentle hug, "I just can't believe you guys nearly killed yourselves just for me."
"We didn't want to ruin the trip." Rigby groaned in pain.
"Well, it wouldn't be right to have this trip while you guys are hurt." said Eileen, "We better take you guys to the hospital."
"But, what about camping?" Mordecai asked.
"We can after you guys heal." CJ gave a comforting smile, "Right now, you guys are more important."
The girls packed up all the camping stuff, carried Mordecai and Rigby to the car and drove them to the hospital where they can get proper rest and attention. While there, CJ thanked them for getting her a new tent and Mordecai and Rigby thanked the girls for helping them out.
153. Near Death (Real Date)
CJ transformed back to her normal self as she landed on the beach.
"Oh..." she moaned and held her head, "My head.."
She looked around to see the wreckage of the Couple Corral equipment and the boardwalk. But there was only one thing on her mind at the moment.
"Mordecai?" she called out, "Mordecai! Where are you?!"
It took her a couple minutes before she found Mordecai lying unconscious on the far side of the shore.
"Oh no." she said as she approached him, "Mordecai..."
Tears started to fall as she sat down and held him close.
154. Humiliated (Maxin' And Relaxin')
As his family continued to laugh their beaks off, Mordecai felt the tears of shame and humiliation pool up in his eyes. His mom, Cecilia, stopped laughing when she turned around and noticed her son looked very upset.
"Mordy, are you alright?" she asked as the laughing died down.
With a choked sob, Mordecai leaped from his seat and ran upstairs to his room.
"Mordecai!" his mother called to him, "Mordy wait!"
But Mordecai didn't listen as he slammed the door and began to sob after he collapsed on his bed. He cried because his mother just had to show that tape and now his whole family was laughing at him.
"S-Stupid tape!" Moredecai sobbed, "Why did she have to play that?!"
The sad blue jay was so busy crying that he didn't even realize his mother was right behind the door, overhearing what he had just said. Cecilia felt guilty for playing that tape and causing her son so much pain. She even told the others to stay in the living room while she went to talk to Mordecai. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and took a step inside the room.
"Mordy?" she asked softly, "Are you okay, honey?"
"Go away!" her son shouted through his pillow, "I'm not talking to you!"
Although she felt hurt from that outburst, Cecilia wanted to try and reason with her distraught son. She walked over to his bed, sat down, and started to rub his back.
"Mordecai," she spoke softly, "I'm so sorry that I hurt your feelings by playing that video. I just wanted to relive some of your childhood memories. I didn't mean to make you cry."
Mordecai remained silent except for a few sobs and sniffles.
"I never realized how sensitive you were, sweetie." Cecilia continued rubbing her sons back, "I didn't mean to embarrass you so much. But, I'm really sorry that I hurt you and I understand if you don't want to talk to me ever again."
Even though he still felt a bit upset inside, Mordecai also felt that his mom never meant to humiliate him on purpose. He sat up, wiped the tears away, and hugged his mom tight.
"Mom, it's okay." he said gently, "I'm sorry I got all upset. But, that doesn't mean I hate you. I was just embarrassed that's all, but I still love you no matter what and I forgive you."
"That's my boy." Cecilia hugged him back, "I love you too and I'm sorry."
The two hugged for a while and even Mordecai apologized for being upset, his mother never held it against him and hugged him even more. A few minutes later, both mother and son went downstairs were Mordecai was surrounded by more hugs and apologies from his family. But, Mordecai decided to forgive him and his mom decided to put away "Mordy Moments" in the basement for a while.
155. Upset (New Bro On Campus)
Hi-Five Ghost kept floating away until he came upon the site where the crash pit once was. He felt horrible for uploading that embarrassing video of Muscle Man and wanted so badly to apologize, but the damage had already been done and Muscle Man declared that their friendship was over.
"This is all my fault!" the little ghost cried, "Why did I mix up those stupid labels?! Now my best friend hates me! I'm such an idiot!"
Hi-Five Ghost sobbed in despair over his now severed friendship and he remained that way for about an hour. He thought of the great times he had with Muscle Man up until this point but he knew it was over now.
That is until Muscle Man forgave him some time later.
156. Finding Out (Daddy Issues)
One day during a round of golf, Carl Putter was chatting with his good friend Chaz Melter.
"Hey Carl. You know what I heard?" he asked.
"No." Carl shook his head, "What?"
"Your daughter, CJ, has entered the Putterpalooza." Chaz said.
"CJ?!" Carl said with wide eyes and then smirked, "Hmmm. Maybe I should go there to and show my support. Haha."
Though a little surprised that CJ was mini-golfing despite quitting years ago, Carl knew he had a another chance to toughen her up for the world.
He showed up early the next day and since he had time before his daughter came, Carl decided to sign some autographs for his fans.
157. Meeting (Terror Tales Of The Park IV)
Everyone was hiding behind a tree when Mrs. Sorenstein approached them.
"Mom!" Muscle Man said as he and his brother ran and embraced their mother, "It's so good to see you!"
"You too, sweetie!" she smiled and hugged her two sons, "And I see you brought some friends."
"Yep!" he lets go and introduces his friends, "These guys are Mordecai, Rigby, Benson, Pops, Hi-Five Ghost, and Skips. Guys, this is my mom."
"Hi. Nice to meet you. Hello. How ya doing?" everyone said while they came out but still stood at a distance.
"It's so nice to meet you all." she said sweetly, "I'm glad that I got to meet Mitchy's friends. He told me so much about you."
"And we're glad to finally meet you, ma'am." Mordecai said politely.
"You know who else is glad to meet you?" Muscle Man smirked, "MY MOM!"
"Oh Mitch!" Mrs. Sorenstein laughed and hugged her son again, "I just love it when you say that!"
"Anything for the woman who brought me in this world." Muscle Man smiled and hugged her back.
Then, everyone just talked for a bit before the park workers decided to head home and Muscle Mans brother went his seperate ways as well.
"Come back anytime!" Mrs. Sorenstein waved as the others drove away.
"She was actually pretty nice." Rigby commented.
"Yeah." Skips nodded, "At least we're glad to have finally met her."
"You know who else is glad to have finally met her?" Muscle Man asked, "MY MOM! Hahahahaha! Best Halloween ever!"
"Ugh!" everyone groaned before they got home.
158. Still Angry (The End Of Muscle Man)
The next day after Muscle Man proposed to Starla, he and Hi-Five Ghost were coming to the park for another day at work. However, when he approached the guys at the house, they all ignored him except for Fives.
"Hey bros!" Muscle Man greeted.
But no one said "Hi" back or anything, which made Muscle Man frown. They just gave him the cold shoulder just before Benson gave out the jobs for the day.
"Okay everyone. Except for a certain employee, not everyone has to work today." Benson announced, "That's right, you guys have the day off."
Everyone looked at each in surprise and Benson glared at Muscle Man.
"As for you, Muscle Man, I have a few things for you today." Benson started to read from his clipboard, "You are taking out the trash, raking the leaves, cleaning the fountain, washing the windows, mowing the lawn, cleaning the dishes, and washing all the cars today."
"What?!" Muscle Man complained, "But that'll take me forever!"
"You should've thought of that before you made me spend twelve thousand dollars and faking your death!" Benson yelled.
"Aw come on!" he groaned, "Don't tell me you guys are still mad at me!"
"We have every right to be angry, Mitch!" Mordecai snapped.
"Yeah!" Rigby agreed, "We thought you were actually dying!"
"You made us all very sad and you never told us the real reason!" Pops scolded.
"After what you pulled, none of us want to talk to you or be around you for a while." Skips said.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Come one, guys! Give him a break!" Hi-Five Ghost defended his friend, "He was thinking of a way to propose to Starla, which I think was great!"
"Only you would, dude." Rigby scoffed, "Come on guys, let's go."
Everyone else left but Benson wanted to say one more thing, "And one more thing. I'm docking your pay until you pay me back. Now get to work!" he said before walking off.
"Guess I should've thought this through, huh?" Muscle Man asked.
"Probably so." his friend nodded.
It took at least a month before everyone forgave Muscle Man and it took some time before he paid back Benson for all the money he had spent that day.
159. Welcome Back (Lift With Your Back)
After taking Rigby to the doctor, Mordecai drove him back to the park where he was greeted by the others.
"Oh my!" Pops said as he approached the two first, "Rigby, what happened to you?!"
"I nearly killed myself at my new job and I decided to quit." Rigby moaned in pain.
Mordecai carried him to the couch and had him lay on his stomach while the others gathered around.
"Rigby, we're sorry that we made you quit." Benson said, "You have proven to us that you do work fine when you're by yourself."
"Indeed." Pops nodded regretfully, "You are as much a hard worker as everyone else."
"And I have proof." Rigby added and handed a piece of paper to Mordecai, "Show them, Mordecai."
Mordecai held it out to the others and they all saw it was a paycheck to Rigby for his time up there.
"Whoa!" said an impressed Muscle Man, "You really did it bro!"
"Yeah!" Hi-Five Ghost agreed, "Your hard worked really paid off!"
"Yeah." Rigby nodded weakly, "But, to be honest, I missed you guys and I like working here better. Benson, can I have my old job and my room back?"
Benson only smiled and shook his hand, "Welcome back, Rigby. You can start after you had a week off."
"Thanks man." Rigby smiled back.
For the rest of the day, everyone congratulated Rigby for doing a job well done and he even received some calls from Eileen. The tired raccoon never felt more exhausted and proud in his life.
160. Full-Time Worker (The Real Thomas)
After the meeting was over, Benson had everyone set up a party outside for when Thomas returned. Today, Thomas would no longer be an intern but a full time park worker instead. Later, while raking the leaves, Benson and Skips drove up with the cart to pick him up.
"Hey Thomas!" Benson greeted.
"Hey guys!" Thomas waved, "What's up?"
"We need you to come with us for a bit." Skips said.
"Is something wrong?" Thomas asked with concern.
"No no, nothing's wrong." Benson shook his head, "We just need you for a minute."
"Okay." Thomas dropped the rake and climbed in the cart.
Benson drove them back to the park and once they climbed out, Thomas noticed that the front of the house was all decorated and there were a couple of tables with food.
"What is this?" Thomas asked.
Suddenly, a banner on top of the house unraveled which said "Congratulations Thomas!" in bold letters and everyone jumped out.
"SURPRISE!" everyone shouted and greeted Thomas.
"What?!" Thomas said in shock, "Surprise for what?"
"For you, silly!" Pops said with glee, "This party is for you!"
"Why?"
"Because," Benson began, "today you officially become a full time park worker!"
Thomas's eyes grew wide and couldn't believe what he had just heard, "Me? Really?"
"Of course, dude!" Mordecai placed a hand on his shoulder, "You're one of us now!"
"Yeah!" Rigby said, "You're fun and totally awesome!"
"You know who else thinks you're awesome!" Muscle Man smirked, "I do."
"Yeah!" Hi-Five Ghost agreed.
Thomas felt the tears pool in his eyes, but they were tears of joy and he just smiled at his friends, "Gee guys. I don't know what to say."
"So, what do you say then?" Benson held out his hand, "You in?"
Thomas wasted no time giving his answer, "I accept! And thank you so much!"
Then, Skips gave him a gentle embrace.
"Welcome to the team, son." he said softly.
"Thanks Skips." Thomas hugged back.
For the rest of the day, the guys celebrated with Thomas and he was very happy to be an official member of the team. Later that day, he told his mother the good news and she was extremely proud of her son and Thomas was even prouder of himself that his hard work had finally paid off.
