Theo stirred from his sleep as the first rays of sunlight creeped through his window and lit up his floor. Soon, he got to his feet after taking off the covers and recalling the events of yesterday.

"I hope Janet and Brett will be okay.", he hoped, "If they knew Ted was a werewolf and running with some really creepy dogs, they might not be as welcoming."

As he looked out the window, he noticed Ted's trailer home not far from the house.

"Guess he moved it last night.", he thought.

He then heard some talk downstairs and headed down after he got dressed for the day. He found that Janet and Ted were just finishing off breakfast and Ted looked cheerful at Theo.

"Oh hey buddy, how did you sleep?"

Theo looked unsure.

"I slept really well thank you.", he said trying to sound friendly, but he and Ted both knew he ment the opposite.

Janet however didn't notice so much.

"Well Ted, you sure moved here fast."

Ted blushed.

"I guess I knew some people around these parts."

Theo turned and noticed Brett was watching a movie and Thor was nowhere to be seen.

"Where's Thor?", Theo asked.

Brett shrugged. Theo then noticed the movie was a black and white film and the man on the screen was walking as creepy music was playing.

"So, what's this about?"

"It's about a werewolf.", Brett answered.

Theo looked interested.

"You know werewolves don't usually work like that."

Brett looked Theo's way.

"How come?"

"Why does it need to be the full moon?", Ted suddenly asked as he appeared next to Brett, "Why not any moon?"

Brett frowned.

"Well, that's just how it works."

"Don't be too sure.", Theo answered, "That's how Hollywood sees it. Real life can be very different."

Ted nodded.

"Yep, a shotgun shot to the head usually works."

"Ted!", Janet snapped, "Don't scare Brett like that."

Ted chuckled.

"Well, I'm going to go for a jog."

Not long after Ted had gone off, Theo went outside and into the woods.

"Riddle says I have to find a dice and quick. If Ted's moved nearby, I better hurry.", he said to himself before rolling his eyes, "Who am I kidding? It'll take me all morning to find that dice."

Then he remembered something. He quickly got out his three cards and flipped them out allowing Quinten, Princess, and Visitor to all appear in a flash of light.

"What's up?", Quinten asked though he was wearing his superhero mask.

"I need to find a dice.", Theo answered.

"Could you be a bit more specific?", Princess asked, "How many sides the dice has? Color of the dice?"

"Maybe if we look at the dice we don't have it might be a clue.", Quinten suggested.

Visitor nodded eagerly. Theo got out the dice box and looked at the four holes that were empty.

"Two ten-sided, one eight-sided, and the twenty-sided."

Quinten looked thoughtful.

"Okay, a dice was found in a building where I fought a criminal, after one was found in possession of mythical creatures, and in the woods near a shed where a hate crime was committed."

Everyone looked at him confused and Quinten looked a bit surprised.

"Hey, I'm just thinking that maybe there's a connection. And Visitor telepathically told me he found the dice while he was hiding in the woods."

Theo brightened.

"Well look at you junior detective.", he said to Quinten, "You know if the superhero biz doesn't work out, you would make a really great officer."

Visitor frowned.

"Guys, we need to focus."

Theo nodded.

"Right. Hey, where's Thor?"

Princess looked thoughtful.

"Looks like Ted hasn't fooled everyone."

A dog bark grabbed their attention.

"Speak of the devil.", Princess smiled.

Theo returned the trio to their cards before he quickly darted off in the direction of the barking.

After a couple minutes, Theo burst through the brush and found himself near Ted's trailer home. Thor was nowhere to be seen, but Theo had a bad feeling.

"Thor?", he called out.

No answer came so Theo called out a few more times before he went up to the door and found it strangely open a bit. He knocked, but no answer came so he peeked inside. It was pretty dark inside, but the sunlight seeping through the window lit it up. On his right was what looked like a kitchen while on his right was a door in the middle of the hall which Theo guessed was a bathroom, but couldn't get a good look at anything else further down.

"Ted, you here?", he asked.

Still no answer so he walked in and noticed a bunch of vials and books further in the back. He inspected a few and found they were all related to werewolf lore. Then he noticed something out of the corner of his eye. It looked like a dice, but he couldn't be too sure. He got a little closer and heard another dog bark from outside which made him pause. Then he heard footsteps outside and cautiously peeked out the window to see Ted near the trailer taking a drink from a water bottle he had gotten out. Theo felt his heart freeze as he thought of what Ted would think if he caught Theo there. Luckily Thor did show up and barked a couple more times drawing ted's attention. Theo didn't wait to hear anything out cause he opened the other window and got out that way. He had just hit the ground in time to see Thor dashing off with Brett not far from the house.

"Theo? Is that you?"

Theo looked over his shoulder and saw Ted's shadow moving in the trailer. The twelve-sided dice slipped out and landed on a 4 before it gave a flash and went dull again. Theo quickly picked it up and put it back in the box which he put in his pocket just as Ted looked out the window and sniffed a few times.

"Huh, that's odd. Could've sworn that I smelled Theo around here."

Ted looked Theo's way, but then shrugged.

"Guess I missed him.", he said before going back inside.

Theo hurried to the house and had just gotten to the door as Thor and Brett came up to the door.

"Oh, hi Theo.", Brett said cheerfully, "Where'd you go?"

Theo thought fast.

"Oh, just thought I'd get some fresh air."

/

Brett looked unsure as Theo came inside with Thor.

"What were you doing in Ted's trailer?", Brett asked.

Theo looked a bit concerned.

"Thor knows something about Ted.", he said ominously.

Brett looked a bit scared.

"Like what?"

Theo looked around to see if Ted was nearby. Luckily he wasn't so he continued talking.

"Brett, there is a werewolf lurking around here."

Brett chuckled.

"Theo, werewolves don't exist."

Theo frowned.

"Then why does Ted go into the woods with handcuffs every night?", he countered, "And the stacks of wolf books in his trailer?"

Brett stopped smiling and looked a bit concerned too.

"Okay, now you're freaking me out a bit."

Theo then changed his expression to a soothing one.

"Not to worry though. He's not getting near you if I can help it."

Brett then looked thoughtful.

"Well, I did see some of those things you said you saw and I think I saw something out of the corner of my eye when I was there."

Theo looked interested.

"What kind of something?"

Before Brett could answer, Janet showed up from around the corner.

"Hey guys. What's going on back here?"

Brett smiled nervously.

"Nothing Mom.", he answered, "Theo just..got a bit worried about Thor."

Theo caught on.

"Yeah, ever since Ted moved in, he's been acting kind of odd."

Janet looked skeptical.

"Theo, I'm sure there is a logical explanation to what is going on around here."

Theo raised an eyebrow.

"So you don't know he goes into the woods every night with handcuffs?"

Janet looked a bit surprised.

"No."

Theo then looked a bit cautious.

"Janet, there is evil lurking around this place. And I'm going to find out what."

/

For the rest of that day, Ted noticed a change in the air and had a suspicion about what it was.

"I'm not going to get to Janet and Brett with Theo and the mutt in my way.", he thought bitterly, "I need to get them apart somehow."

Then he had an idea and a wicked smile came to his face before he slapped on a friendly face.

"Theo, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind looking into some disappearances around the lake I was at yesterday."

Theo then looked assured.

"Sure thing Ted. I'll head out immediately."

Theo was soon on the open road as the setting sun was slipping over the horizon. Theo felt his box vibrate and took out Quinten's card to summon him.

"You actually are going to go with Ted's suggestion?", Quinten asked as he appeared.

"What else can I do?", Theo countered, "I need to find that dice and quick."

Quinten then looked thoughtful.

"Theo, notice that Ted had his trailer moved near the house and yet nobody in town had received a call from him for help?"

Theo then looked a bit shocked.

"And I think I saw something in his trailer that looked like a dice."

Quinten looked alarmed.

"And it's almost moonrise. We need to get back to the house immediately!"

Theo turned just as what looked like a dog catcher's car rushed past with some barking going on inside. Theo then looked concerned as he summoned Princess and Visitor.

"Guys, get back to the house and make sure nothing bad happens to Janet or Brett. I'm going after that car."

Visitor then placed a tentacle hand on Theo's shoulder.

"I'll go too."

Quinten smiled under his mask.

"Hey, if that werewolf tries anything, Princess and I will make him go whining back to his mommy."

"Please hurry.", Theo said.

Quinten used some of his webbing ot make a rope and lasso a tree nearby before picking up Princess and swinging away. Visitor then closed his eye and instantly, he and Theo were at what looked like a shelter.

"Wow, didn't know you could teleport.", Theo said in awe.

Visitor blushed before he fell to the ground as if in pain. Then he shimmered for a moment before going transparent for a second and becoming solid again.

"You okay?", Theo asked.

Visitor got to his feet.

"I'm fine.", Theo heard in his head, "Let's just get Thor."

/

After breaking Thor out, Visitor warped Theo and Thor back to the house just in time to see Quinten and Princess fighting off the same dog creatures that they fought before. Thor dashed past the whole thing and into the house with Theo following. Visitor slumped to a nearby tree stump, but he seemed to be okay. Inside the house, there was wreckage and soon, Theo and Thor found Ted in his werewolf form about to pounce on Brett and Janet.

"Hey you!", Theo called out.

Ted turned and Thor growled fiercely. Ted roared and then Janet stood up and fired a pistol into Ted's back making the monster flinch. Thor then tackled Ted making the werewolf drop a blood red eight-sided dice with black numerals. Once it landed, a portal opened up and some flying serpents flew through and attacked Thor. Theo quickly grabbed the dice as Quinten, Princess and Visitor all came in.

"Janet, Brett, move!", Quinten called out.

Janet and Brett moved before Ted and the serpents paused attacking Theo and Thor allowing Princess to slither up to Ted and coil around him pinning his legs. Visitor held up his tentacle hands and the serpents froze in midair like they were held by invisible hands and Quinten used his webs to wrap Ted's upper half in silk.

"Do it Theo.", Princess said smiling.

Theo got out a blank card but before he flipped it, a portal opened beneath Ted and he went through. Princess almost went in also, but Quinten grabbed her before she could and Visitor stumbled causing the serpents to gain mobility again, but they flew into the portal and all went through just before it closed.

"Well, missed a creature, but got a dice.", Theo said examining the new dice before setting it in the box alongside the other three, "Four down, three left to go."

Janet was looking more than a bit spooked.

"Who are these guys?", she asked mentioning to Quinten, Princess and Visitor.

"Sorry Janet, these are my new friends.", Theo said, "Sorry about your house."

Brett then noticed Thor who had injuries that looked like bites and claw marks.

"Theo, will Thor be a werewolf since Ted hurt him?"

Theo got out his four-sided dice and rolled a 3. A vial of clear liquid appeared and he administered it to Thor before the dog collapsed and the vial vanished.

"What was that?", Brett asked.

"Medicine.", Theo answered, "He'll be fine."

Janet looked firm.

"Well, you guys better fix up my house or I'm going to have to report this."

Theo, Quinten, Princess, and Visitor all looked on board.

"We're on it madam.", they all said in unification.

They started cleaning up as Janet took Brett and Thor (who had recovered fully now) to bed.
