Hello and welcome to chapter 4. I hope you enjoy what's to come.

Chicago Fire Department:

It was a quiet day at the CFD and the team were hanging out and talking. Ellie was in Ambulance 61, sorting out the supplies and making sure that they had enough or if she had to get more supplies.

"Hey Ellie! You have a visitor!" Herman called over as Ellie climbed out the back of Ambulance. "He says he's a friend from NCIS." Ellie closed the doors then walked over to see that Herman was standing next to Nick Torres.

"Thanks Herman." Ellie thanked as Christopher Herman walked over to her and hugged her. After Herman left, Ellie and Nick just stared at each other in silence. "Is this case related or a personal visit?" Ellie asked as she folded her arms.

"Ellie, can we talk? In private?" Nick as he looked behind Ellie. Bishop then looked behind to see Stella and Sylvie walking over to their friend.

"Is everything okay here?" Stella asked as Sylvie placed a hand on Ellie's left shoulder. "Nick Torres, was it? Is NCIS working with PD yet?" Stella asked but Nick didn't answer, he only put his hands in his pockets.

"I don't know. I came back to talk with Ellie, the others are talking with PD." Nick told them which made Ellie furious.

"So instead of trying to figure out what happened to your friend, you came here to talk to Ellie?" Stella asked and Nick nodded. "Come on sister. Let's go and get a drink." Stella suggested as three women walked off and towards the kitchen whilst Nick walked over to the Dodge.

Casey's room:

"That Torres guy came here to talk to Ellie? Any idea what he wanted?" Casey asked as he turned his chair and looked at Sylvie. Sylvie shook her head then looked out the room to see Ellie on the phone to someone.

"I want to know more about Nick Torres and what is his connection to Ellie? Besides the obvious." Sylvie pointed and Matt nodded.

"If you want to know someone, talk to their friends." Matt suggested to Sylvie. "I was going to head over to PD and talk to Voight, see if they got anything yet. Maybe you can tag along and if McGee is there, you talk to him about Nick and Ellie." Matt suggested as he stood up and looked at Sylvie.

"And if he isn't there? It would be a wasted journey for me to have tagged on." Sylvie spoke but Matt chuckled.

"Not really. I would just enjoy your company more," Matt complimented which made Sylvie blush. "About that chat you wanted to have, Sylvie." Matt brought up which made Sylvie feel nervous.

"Let's see what PD has first, then we can talk." Sylvie suggested and Matt agreed. The pair left Matt's office to see Ellie putting her phone down and a small smile appeared. "Hey Ellie, you look happy. Was that about Abby?" Sylvie asked but Ellie shook her head.

"No. Though Kelly said he and Stella would take over to see her after shift," Ellie told her as Matt walked over. "An old friend said he was coming over to see me. Remember I told you about Anthony Dinozzo Jr?" Ellie asked and Sylvie nodded. "He and his family are in Chicago as they heard about Abby; they're coming by here later." Ellie explained which made Matt and Sylvie smile.

"That's great to hear, Ellie." Matt smiled and Ellie nodded. "Anyway, me and Sylvie are heading over to PD; seeing if they've got anything on the person who attacked Abby." Matt told her and Ellie nodded.

"The moment we find out something, we'll tell you." Sylvie promised and Ellie smiled as she hugged both Matt and Sylvie. Matt headed towards the Apparatus Bay but before Sylvie could catch up, Ellie grabbed her friend's hand.

"Some advice; don't wait too long to admit your feelings." Ellie told her friend and Sylvie nodded. "Get going. Matt's probably waiting to kiss you." Ellie teased as Sylvie ran off to catch up with Matt.

Chicago PD:

In the Intelligence department, the team were greeted by the appearance of Matt and Sylvie. Voight was in his office getting off the phone as he saw the pair then walked out, he headed towards Matt and held out his hand.

"Nice to see you, Matt." Hank spoke and Matt nodded as he shook Voight's hand. "You too, Sylvie. How's Bishop holding up?" Hank asked as he and the pair walked into his office.

"She's doing okay; just wants to know who wanted to hurt her friend," Sylvie explained and Hank nodded. "That's why we're here; do you have leads yet on who might've wanted to harm her?" Sylvie asked as she and Matt sat down opposite Hank.

"Burgess and Ruzek are going through her private life while everyone else, including the NCIS agents, are going through all the cases she's worked on." Hank updated them and the pair nodded.

"Is Nick Torres here?" Matt asked which got Hank curious. "He came by the Firehouse and wanted to speak to Ellie, we just want more about the relationship they had." Matt explained then Hank walked over to the door of his office.

"Where are the NCIS agents?" Hank shouted then from the direction of the interrogation came Tim McGee. "McGee! Get in here!" Hank shouted as he walked towards his chair and sat down as McGee walked in.

"What's wrong, Voight?" McGee asked then Hank motioned at Matt and Sylvie. "Captain Casey. Miss Brett. Is everything alright? Is Ellie okay?" Tim asked as Ellie's safety came to his head.

"Ellie's fine, Tim." Sylvie told him which made Tim feel relieved. "But we do need to talk about Nick. He came by the Firehouse." Ellie told him which surprised Tim.

"That's why I couldn't find him," Tim was furious and even Hank could tell he was telling the truth. "Nick and Ellie were close, great friends but Nick felt more towards Ellie. He was going to tell Ellie how he felt but he found out that she was already dating someone." Tim explained which helped Matt and Ellie understand why Nick wanted to talk to Ellie.

"We'll keep Torres on the case but Tim," Hank paused then looked at the senior NCIS agent. "I would like to suggest partnering him with Halstead. May I also suggest that you and Knight also work with members of my unit?" Voight suggested and McGee nodded.

"I did hear earlier that Jessica wanted to partner up with either Burgess or Upton." Tim smiled as he walked out of Hank's office, leaving him to talk to Matt and Sylvie.

"We'll keep you up to date with anything you find." Hank promised as he shook hands with Matt then with Sylvie.

"Thanks, Hank." Matt thanked then he and Sylvie walked out and left the Police Precinct. Hank left his office and started talking with the team to see what they had so far.

Later:

Whilst driving back to the Firehouse, Matt and Sylvie were silent as they didn't know what to say. When the pickup stopped at a set of traffic lights, Sylvie looked at Matt then took a deep breath.

"The chat I wanted to have a few days with you, Matt. Could we talk about it now?" Sylvie asked and Matt nodded as he looked at her. "I wanted to tell you something but when I wanted to tell you, I felt nervous and pulled back." Sylvie explained then Matt placed a hand on Sylvie's hand.

"Since we both have something we want to say, how about we say it at the same time?" Matt suggested as the traffic lights changed to green. "When I count down to one, we both say what we want to tell the other person." Matt explained and Sylvie nodded. "Okay then. Three, two, one!"

"I LOVE YOU!" They both shouted which took them both off guard; they had both said that they loved each other.

"You love me, Matt?" Sylvie asked and Matt nodded with a smile. "How long have you wanted to tell me?" Sylvie asked as Matt turned his pickup and parked near the Firehouse.

"For a while. I was going to tell you but that was the day we responded to the fire that Abby was in." Matt explained then he turned and looked at Sylvie.

"Ellie was the one that gave me confidence to tell you how I feel," Sylvie spoke and Matt smiled. "I just hope that someday, Ellie will find happiness again." Sylvie smiled and so did Matt.

"Come on, let's go see how she's doing. And if you want, tell her the good news." Matt suggested as he gave Sylvie a kiss on the cheek. Sylvie smiled as she blushed then gave Matt a kiss on the cheek. The pair got out of the pickup and walked over to Firehouse 51.

Firehouse 51:

Matt and Sylvie were heading to Matt's room when they walked past the briefing room, they saw Ellie smiling and chatting to a man and a woman with a little girl sitting on a chair drawing.

"I know that man," Sylvie whispered to Matt as they watched. "That's an old friend of Ellie's from NCIS; Anthony Dinozzo Junior. That means the woman next to him must be his girlfriend." Sylvie and Matt were about to leave when Ellie walked over to the door and opened it.

"Matt. Sylvie. Come in, I want to introduce you to some important people." Ellie smiled then she brought in Matt and Sylvie. "Matthew Casey. Sylvie Brett. I would like to introduce you to Anthony Dinozzo Jr and his now wife, Ziva David." Ellie introduced then Matt shook Anthony's hand whilst Ziva shook Sylvie's.

"And this is our lovely daughter, Tali." Tony smiled as he walked over and knelt down next to his daughter. "We heard about Abby and wanted to come over. Plus, we wanted to see Ellie again." Tony smiled as Ellie walked over and hugged her friend.

"It's great to see you two again. And this little angel too." Ellie smiled as she looked at Tali, who smiled and held her arms up. Ellie walked over to Tali and picked her up, giving her a hug.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you two. Ellie speaks a lot about you two." Sylvie smiled and the couple smiled back. "How long are you in Chicago for?" Sylvie asked. Tony and Ziva looked at each other then looked back at Matt and Sylvie.

"We thought about staying for a while. Help with catching Abby's attacker." Ziva told them then she looked over at Ellie. "Ellie, where's Gibbs?" Ziva asked but Ellie shrugged her shoulders.

"I wish I knew. He called me a few weeks back though, wishing me a happy birthday." Ellie answered as she looked at Ziva. The group then started talking about the past; how Tony met Ellie, how Tony and Ziva met and when they got married. They were later joined by Chief Boden, he was looking for Matt.

"Chief. Sorry for not reporting back…" Matt stopped when Boden walked over to the group. "These are friends of Ellie and Abby; Anthony Dinozzo and his wife, Ziva. And their daughter, Tali." Tony stood up and smiled at the Chief.

"We heard great things about you, Chief Boden." Ziva smiled as she stood up and looked at Boden. "Ellie always emails and calls, telling us how lucky she is to have a great family." Ziva explained and Boden smiled back.

"And we are lucky to have her here at 51," Boden smiled as he placed a hand on Ellie's shoulders. "Casey, what did Voight have to say?" Boden asked as Matt stood up then looked at Ellie.

"They're going through Abby's past cases with NCIS, seeing if she had enemies and checking if any live in Chicago." Matt updated them just as Ellie's phone started ringing.

"It's April. I asked her to keep me updated on Abby's status." Ellie told them then she walked off to answer the call.

"April is a friend of Ellie's from Chicago Med; Nurse April Sexton." Sylvie explained to both Tony and Ziva. They looked over at Ellie on the phone and they both smiled.

"Ellie's grown so much since we first met," Tony smiled as he looked back at Ellie's friends. "From the NSA, to NCIS and to here. And now she's a Paramedic, she's like she's found her true calling; to help people." Tony just finished talking as Ellie walked over but she looked worried.

"That was April. She just told me that Maggie heard that someone tried to see Abby but refused to give a name. After Maggie asked for his name, he just walked out." Ellie told them which made everyone concerned.

"Chief Boden, could we leave Tali here? Ziva and I want to help take Abby's attacker." Tony asked and Wallace nodded.

"Of course. I'll personally look after the little angel." Wallace promised as he looked at Tali, the young girl then looked up and smiled at Boden as she held up a drawing.

"Meanwhile, I'm going to head over to Med and check up on Abby." Ellie told them then they heard knocking on the briefing room door; it was Kelly with Stella. "Kelly and Stella are taking to me. Is that okay, Chief?" Ellie asked as she looked at Boden, he nodded then he hugged the Paramedic.

"Go. The moment there's a call, I'll contact you." Boden told Ellie and she nodded. Before Ellie, Tony reached over to the table behind him and Ziva, he picked up a bouquet of black roses and handed them to Ellie.

"Could you give these to Abby? From us; we'll visit her after we found out more about the case." Ziva asked and Ellie nodded as she accepted the roses.

"Once I hear anything good about Abby, I'll let you know." Ellie promised everyone then she left with Kelly and Stella to head over to Chicago Med.

That's the end of chapter 4 and I hope that you enjoyed. Matt and Sylvie have told each other how they feel, Tony and Ziva are in Chicago and are married, and the hunt for Abby's attacker is underway.

But who was the mystery person who wanted to see Abby but refused to say who he was?

Find out next time! Bye for now!
