The two men had come a long way from home, but a long way is certainly where they meant to be and get to. And being here now just to see it all made their journey all the more worth it. And it also made them think of what would happen when they got to experience it too. Their eyes glistened at the sight of the great castle, the town beneath it and their hearts fluttered at the sounds of the winds of a new world blowing through them.

"Well would ya look at that?" Georgie Russell said as he rested his arms over his rifle, which standing up with him might as well have been a third leg. His head scanned from side to side until he stopped to look at the man next to him who was doing the same exact thing under a raccoon cap. His grin grew as he marveled at the man next to him, who through squinted eyes seemed to marvel at everything himself. There was so much wonder to take in and enjoy. And even more to explore. "Well what do you make of it Davy?" he asked. He took in a deep breath.

"Well, Georgie." Davy Crockett said slowly before pausing needing another moment to look at this new world and what awaited them. With the moniker of 'King of the Wild Frontier' always associated with his name, he was meant for exploring. That naturally only lead him to want to see all the worlds out there, and Radiant Garden had to be one of them "I'd say they don't call this the 'City of Light' fer no reason. It's bright even in the shadows." he said to bring up a hand to cover his face from the blinding white shine everything seemed to have.

"Yeah, wonder how it is at night?" Georgie asked as Davy lowered his hand to see plainly again. "Not much green fer a garden, though." They certainly had the Radiant part of the name down so far.

"Well let's get going. See if we can find any." Davy said determined stepping forward, slinging his own rifle over his shoulder. With his friend George Russel at his side they were ready for anything. They would find all that and more in this world.

"Hey, you don't gotta tell me as much." Georgie agreed as he set off only a step or so behind Davy, but his would be louder and more noticed. "Oh Davy, Davy Crockett!" Georgie sang "Off he went from world to world. To see if there was anything he hadn't heard. Came to Radiant Garden from Traverse Town, hoping for more every turnaround." he sang as Davy smiled at his antics and wordplay.

The two walked down a cobbled road of light blueish-white stones. Lining the street on both sides were houses and shops. But looming overhead was something as tall as a mountain and as wide as the sky.

"Look at that there castle." Davy gazed up to try to see the very peak of it all. It was so large it hung over the entire town and no matter where you in it you always stood beneath it. "Reaches all the way up to the sky."

"Feels like we're there now." Georgie said as they walked again "This whole world is like in a dream or sumthin. Like we're walking on air."

Davy certainly agreed to that, as he took in the soft features of this world "Id say we'd have to, if we wanna reach that high." Davy looked up at the castle again.

Georgie said looking up with him "Well you could just use them as steps." he suggested with a sly grin on his face.

"Them what?" Davy asked not catching on.

"Cloud." Georgie pointed up as he said that, but he caught more than just Davy attention as another man further down on the road stopped in his tracks. "Just like Davy Crockett to use clouds as stepping stones." Georgie said aloud amused, but the man who stopped turned over to see the two coming in his direction was much less so. "Might make fer a pretty good lyric, though."

"Davy Crockett walking over a cloud now?" Davy asked humbly before he turned in astonishment as he looked down from the castle to the ground to see some of them form into patterns of diamonds, squares or sometimes something larger. He was happier to be on level ground where he knew his feet could take him.

"ooff!" he heard from behind him and he turned around alarmed only to find that Georgie wasn't by his side where he left him. No instead he was down on the ground.

"Yeah.." he said as he rubbed his bare head "A very hard cloud down here. It's still walking on ground for the rest of us." he grumbled as Davy laughed and helped him up and put his hat back on his head. It seemed he got his due to trying to stretch the truth again. Picking him up the two continued on their way, but were suddenly stopped by a voice before them.

"Hm." a plain voice let out "Did you say something?" it then asked. Georgie and Davy stopped checking themselves to look up and around before settling on the man who had settled before them. He wore a bad color of black, with a shroud over his left shoulder while his right was bare. A few straps were pulled over his shoulders and held a fleece that seemed to hang down over his waist. Opposite the straps was the only bit of coloring on him; a silver wolf medal over his left shoulder. And the long hilt to a massive sword as large as he was poked out over his shoulder as the blade continued down his back.

The two of them didn't pass judgement however, since they seemed just as out of place; with the look of two frontiersmen looking mighty irregular in a bustling city like this. But that didn't mean everything else fit in, at least that's how they saw it.

"Looks like yer missin' a sleeve there friend." Davy pointed out politely. But that wasn't what this man wanted to know.

"Did you call me?" he asked, plainly unamused.

"Not unless I know yer name." Davy said. There was a dry pleasantness to the way he spoke. A thin uncomfortable-for one of them- silence overcame the three.

"Cloud." he said. A startling revelation came upon the two frontiersmen when he said that. As rude as it may be to be eavesdropping, they couldn't help but realize their part in some of the confusion given their previous statements. Or at least one of them could.

"Well you sure are a perceptive one Davy." Georgie said to him before turning back to Cloud. "This here's Davy Crockett." he introduced him.

"And this is Georgie Russell." Davy did the same for his friend. "We're new to these parts ya see." he explained.

"Hm." Cloud said as if retreating to where he started.

"And we was jus wonderin' what there's to see and do in these parts?"

Now Cloud didn't answer them initially. He merely retained that blank stare over his face. The two assumed that since it was taking him such a long time to form an answer, that he must have an awful lot of em. And eventually he did give them an answer; only one.

"Depends what your looking for." he said somewhat shiftily before walking off past them. He kept his face forward as he walked down the street and rounded a corner leaving them behind.

"Guessin that's not much." Georgie said as they watched him walk off "Looks like we'll have to find it out fer ourselves eh Davy?" he said turning back to him.

"Reckon now'd be a poor time to stop doing that." Davy said as they walked off together again. The followed down the road as Cloud walked away behind them and the both left each others sights as soon as they entered it.

Continuing down the street it got just a bit narrower, and had a few more people in it. They were all moving along the street one way or another, save for one figure up ahead. Looking ahead they saw a young woman in a pink dress standing by the edge of the road. She had long brown hair, tied in a red bow. Nestled under her arm was a basket filled with all kinds of colorful flowers.

She turned to the many people who were walking down the street at that time. Picking a flower out from the basket, she walked up to them with her hand extended. Only the people she scurried away after never paid her any mind, so she ended up slowing her pace letting them walk ahead. She'd turn her gaze to try to offer it to someone else who'd only silently rebuff her as if she wasn't there at all. She came to a stop again and looked around, only this time to see two raggedy worn travelers coming down the street. Naturally they stuck out so they caught her gaze and at the same time she caught theirs.

She scurried up again coming right towards them, only stopping when she came right before them.

"Hello." she greeted kindly in a voice as sweet as honey.

"Howdy." Georgie replied taking his hat off for extra effect

"Ma'am." Davy tipped his racoon cap.

"Hm.." she looked them over introspectively "You two are new here aren't you?" she said coming to the conclusion rather quickly.

Georgie gave out a chuckle "What gave us away." he said confirming it as Davy put on a sheepish smile.

"Nothing bad." she shook her head "Lots of people come to Radiant Garden." she pointed out.

"I can see why." Davy agreed looking up and around before settling back on her and what she was offering.

"Here." she said as she brought a hand up revealing a golden flower in her fingers "This is for you."

Georgie leaned in for a whiff "Purdy."

Davy commented in a drawl "But what's it fer?"

"You can just think of it as a memento." she said kindly "For your time here." The two shrugged their shoulders and with no reason to object it Davy leaned in to take the flower from her to take it in his own hands.

"Thank you kindly." he said, pleased in the transaction. "What's your name miss?"

"Aerith." she said with a nod. The two men returned with introductions of their own.

"Gotta say yer much kinder than the last feller we came across." Davy admitted but that only confused Aerith who let out a sudden confused huff.

"Hm? And whose that?" she titled her head at him curiously.

"Oh gloomy feller." Davy told crossing his arms with the flower locked between his fingers "Spiky hair, dressed in black."

"Big sword." Georgie said brining his hands up for measurements, for once not exaggerating as he often did with Davy's tales.

Their dour description of the man only managed to make Aerith smile however "Cloud." she said coming to a correct conclusion again.

"That's the one." Davy admitted and her smile widened more.

"He can be like that," she admitted "but he's not bad." she paused to look around them and back down the street, her bangs and bow falling to one side "Did he go that way?" she said around Georgie's shoulder.

"Back the way we came, yes." Davy told as Georgie pointed back. Aerith nodded.

"I should go find him." she said aloud before turning back to the two of them "Thank you. I hope you enjoy the flower and your time here." she said before moving around them and down the street.

"An' good luck with yer hunting." Davy called as they waved her off. They watched her disappear around the corner before they turned to each other

"An' speakin' of moving," Georgie said "we better keep exploring."

"Right where we left off." Davy said grinning as he tucked the flower away in his coat.

"I didn't know we ever stopped." Georgie said excitedly as they picked up their gear and continued down the street. Sunny and smiling like this new world as they headed deeper into it.

Georgie would point to regard something strange and wonderful all at once. They passed by three little ducks, each with a racoon cap just like Davy had. They stopped to chat with them, thinking Davy a fellow 'Junior Woodchuck' given the attire. Helping the two out, they pointed them towards where all the green on this world was and boy did they find it in the courtyard and fountain of it. It was obvious where Aerith got all of her flowers from. And from there they made their way back into town.

The deeper they went in the more there was, but then again since they didn't know where they were or even where they were going. It also meant they got lost, but that was part of the fun.

They were heading down a narrow road that cut between the houses, more of an alleyway off the main path through the town. Walking shoulder to shoulder there wasn't anyone else around them. Though they wanted to check every nook and cranny of this world, they wanted to get back to sight seeing too.

Then all of a sudden they stopped cold, and Davy put his arm up before Georgie to stop him in his tracks. He wouldn't asked 'what fer?' but he got his answer from a horrible hideous sound that echoed down the alleyway and around the corner. They stalled as they heard the sound die down, but there was still sound of commotion from the other side.

"Whatcha reckon that was?" Georgie asked alarmed.

"I dunno." Davy said as he gripped his gun before him "But it sounds like trouble."

"Well we've been in trouble before." Georgie looked to him eagerly.

"And it ain't no match for Davy Crockett. Let's go." he declared and the two were on the move again, only running this time. Taking off Davy all of a sudden stopped short again and Georgie did with him.

"What now Davy?"

"Listen." he said as he paused to peer forward with his eyes to see what lay before them. Sounds echoed out from the alleyway they were in. He heard that horrible sound he had before, but this time he could hear better and even make out some words.

"You don't come into my bar and start a problem." a young woman's voice scolded. The other voice however, seemed to be having none of it.

"Dontcha know who I is? Who yer messin with?" the salty voice asked.

"I know that voice!" Davy declared and took off once again. Georgie stalled in his stopping and starting and so was one step behind, Davy but was with him none the less. Because of that it was Davy who rounded the corner first and so it was he who saw the spectacle before them.

Two people were circling each other in front of a place titled 'Seventh Heaven'. One across from them who they could see was a young woman with raven black hair dressed in clothes to match it, her fists up ready to right. She was squared up against a lumbering figure whose back was facing them. Needless to say, he was doing all the talking, that was until Davy chimed in.

"Mike Fink!" Davy declared.

The brute perked up his little balled head under a red feathered cap which poked up like a horn going higher than his tense shoulder blades.

"Who calls my name and can't even say it right!" he said as he turned around and when he did was prepared to scold whoever was behind him. Harshly "It's Mike Fink. King of the River-" his balled fist went and his threatening glare turned to bewilderment. "Crockett?" he questioned peering forward with beady little eyes.

"And Georgie." he introduced himself alongside Davy. Mike said little else because he didn't have time to. Because suddenly a loud 'thunk' was heard from behind and his eyes nearly popped out of his head as he was flung towards the two newcomers, only to end up on face down on the ground before them. Standing where he just stood was the black haired woman with her fist extended out which she brought back to her side. Mike shook his head as his feather danced on his head as he did so.

"Gotta watch where you step Mike, it's a mighty long way down." Davy chuckled to himself as Mike grimaced and wiped his face.

"And you know what they say." Georgie added with a grin "The bigger they are-"

"Dah! Don't you tell me nothing." Mike blustered beneath them as he picked himself up "I know what you're gonna say!" he said hopping to his feet and put his hands on his vest "I'm the one who invented it!" he boasted proudly before looking the two of them over "Now," he let out a deep breath "what bring you two landlubbers here?" The last time they had seen each other was when they dealt with those river pirates all those years ago. Yet here they were now together again.

"We was jus' on our way to see other worlds and new adventures. And Radiant Garden had to be on the list. " Davy explained "Whatter you doing here?"

"Ha!" Mike laughed "Shows what you guys know. I'm King of the River." he pointed a meaty thumb to his chest "And the ways I sees it rivers connect everything. So I'm gonna go out there and connect em all!" he said before a hearty laugh "And that brought me here!" he laughed even louder now "By the time I'm done there ain't gonna be nowhere or nothing the Gullywhumper ain't been to!" he named his prize ship as he explained how he got here, before them it seemed. Another thud from behind cut his laughter short and threw him forward into them, but Davy and Georgie together put there arms ups to push him back away from there. Hurled away from them, Mike ended up stumbling back across the cobblestones only to be met by a fist to the face from the girl standing across from them.

The hard blow caused Mike to stumble back yet again, this time with Davy and Georgie to catch him, each one holding him up by his arms as their heads were under it.

"Running a bit of trouble Mike?" Davy asked with a smile. Mike didn't respond, he only shook his head clean until a grimaced formed as he stared the girl down. He pushed himself off of them and put his fists back up to face the woman again.

"You don't think ol' Mike's gonna hit that girl do ya?" Georgie asked concerned.

"Not if I can stop it." Davy said as he ran up and put himself between the two. "Now stop it right now." he said asserting himself.

"Tifa!" a new voice exclaimed and everyone turned their heads. Turning they saw another black clad figure approaching them. And he was holding a weapon; a massive sword. Strangely of all just like when he first saw Mike, Davy recognized him.

"Cloud?" Davy let out surprised. But Cloud didn't react to him, he only brought his arms up to swing his sword at him. Davy moved to do something, but Mike Fink stepped between them.

It was at this moment that Mike stepped forward and stomped his foot down, catching the tip of Cloud's sword and slamming it to the ground. The force of it so strong and sudden that the sword was forced to the ground and Cloud into the air.

Somersaulting through the air and still holding onto the sword, he landed behind them by Tifa's side, but quickly turned to face them brandishing the sword again as he grilled them down.

"Hey that was pretty good." Georgie commented innocently at his rebound from Mike's stomp.

Once he was firmly on the ground, Cloud kept his eyes on those across from him, but didn't forget about why he charged here in the first place.

"You okay?" he asked Tifa out of the corner of his eye, but kept his focus on Mike and Davy.

"I'm fine." she insisted, worried for him now "Just a rowdy patron."

"You've handled worse." Cloud commented looking over his sword.

"Not like him." Tifa admitted as she now looked over to them with Cloud.

Mike budded in once again, cutting in on their conversation "Ah course not! Aint no one like Mike Fink!" he boasted. While Georgie was amused by the antics Mike had once again gotten them into, Davy certainly was not. "Two on one eh?" Mike said rolling his shoulders getting ready for the big brawl as he glared at the two of them "So be it!" he came forward.

Cloud and Tifa braced themselves for Mike, but Davy stepped up again coming to Mike's side and halting him.

"Hold on now!" he called out stopping everyone "Now I don't know what brought us all to this place, but I know it don't have to be like this!" Cloud and Tifa both softened a bit and looked across the three frontiersmen to look at each other. Their eyes also set in on the flower pinned to Davy's coat, wondering where he got it from. Davy set his gun to his side and spoke aloud and honestly. "Now I know ol Mike here ain't much to mince words." he told as Mike stood next to him and puffed up his chest, proud at the fact as a devilish smile came to his face. He then crossed his arm and nodded his head as Davy continued "and he's more rough and tumble than sweet talkin'." Mike gave a big nod on that one "But there ain't much between his two ears," Mike flinched at that statement, almost being knocked back as his arms were forced open "and there's a lot of bluster to his ballast-"

"Hey!" Mike exclaimed "Whose side you on Crockett?!" he shouted down getting Davy's attention.

"Oh I's jus' speakin plainly." Davy stated with a pleasant smile up to Mike.

"Plainly is it?" he fumed under his cap, his face turning as red as the feather atop it "Well as plain as I see it, I defended you from that chop back there." he said pointing off with his thumb to Cloud "So you owe me." he then turned and pointed it on himself.

"Well..." Davy stammered "I guess yer right but-"

"Oh buck up Crockett." Mike said patting him on the back, but so hard he almost fell over "You wanted an adventure. Well here you have one. What's an adventure without a little brawl." he said rolling his shoulder, winding his arms up for what's to come. Davy looked from him to Georgie and then the to Cloud and Tifa squaring up against them, her fists raised like his sword.

"I guess yer right." he admitted "But it ain't what I had in mind." he admitted as he braced himself by Mike's side. Looking at the other two, Davy reckoned a good ol fashion grin wouldn't be enough to take them down.

"And what's that lil thing?" Mike asked as he glanced down to Davy's coat and what was pinned there. Looking himself Davy answered honestly.

"A memento." he said peeking up from the flower.

"Hm." Mike grumbled "Ain't on match for a red feather." he pointed to the one of his cap.

"Memento?" Tifa questioned across from behind her fists.

'Aerith.' Cloud thought.

As the two stood side to side, sandwiched between Cloud and Tifa, Georgie stood on the sidelines with pen and paper in hand.

"Now this'll make a fine good story." he said eyeing it greedily, ready to write another chapter in the 'Exploits of Davy Crockett', this one entitled 'Across the Worlds'. Just as he sat behind ready to write all that was about to transpire they were joined by another. Hearing the sounds of a fight about to occur, she bounded forward out of a nearby street joining them, the basket under her arm waving as she did.

"Cloud! Tifa!" Aerith exclaimed, recognizing the ones she saw first. Turning her head she saw there were others too. "Davy?" she questioned as he stood beside a tall lumbering man. Turning her head further she saw was the final one she recognized, ready to write instead of fight "Georgie."

"Keep watchin sister." Georgie said eagerly with pen and paper in hand "The funs about to start." Aerith turned to watch, but much less enthusiasm as he did.
