Happy Sunday Everyone! Things are heating up for Tris and Tobias! Thank you for all the comments and reviews! I can't wait to see what you think after this chapter cause ya'll know I love drama. Love ya'll!

Zeke sucks in a breath as he walks down the hall to head to the morning meeting he and Tobias had before the start of shift and the briefing with everyone on second watch that happened at the start of every shift. Max usually over a few important things that he would be covering with Zeke and Tobias first. He knew he had been putting off filling Will's slot on 81, the last floater they had was out of shape and cranky all the time. Tris, Marlene, and Zeke had all breathed a sigh of relief when he was assigned to another house that only had two firefighters on truck.

He'd had another restless night, thinking about Tori. He'd asked her to spend the night and she's declined. He was frustrated but he knew she deserved better. He needed to do better to give it to her. Suddenly Max's voice draws him out of his thoughts and he gets back on track in the meeting.

"What have you heard about this candidate?" Zeke asks Tobias as Max leans back in his chair.

"He's a bit of a showoff and entitled" Tobias replies with an eye roll. Tobias taught classes at the Fire Academy, many of those were classes for candidates looking to pass their initial firefighter training but he also taught classes specifically needed for rescue squad certification. He saw many candidates come through that didn't know how tough the training was to become a firefighter and couldn't hack it.

"I don't have to tell you both that there will be a lot of eyes on 51 as Candidate Mills will be expected to excel"

Zeke wasn't surprised when Boden told him that morning that they were getting a new candidate for Truck 81 from the latest class at the fire academy, and not just any candidate, Edward Mills, he was practically CFD royalty, with three of his brothers serving in the CFD and his father a Deputy District Chief who was on the short list of candidates to become the next Commissioner. There would be pressure to give him a permanent placement, all Zeke could hope was that it would be a good fit.

Tobias looks over at Zeke and gives him a look. They hated when headquarters overstepped and played favorites but it was a part of the politics of working for the City of Chicago.

Max talks to them for a few more minutes before they head out to meet the rest of the staff. Zeke slows his walk when she sees Marlene standing in the hall looking at the pictures of the fallen firefighters and paramedics from 51. He notices she places her hand lightly on Will's picture. It had been months since his death and they all still missed him.

"I miss him too," He tells her quietly. She looks up at him and smiles with a sigh.

There was no time for breakfast that morning as the bells went off before Max could even finish the morning briefing. The call was to rescue a construction worker stuck on a crane.

Tobias feels his heart race as he looks up at the construction crane 200 feet in the air. Even though he needed to think quickly, the pounding of his heart energized him even more. This is what the rescue squad was all about.

Above them, a construction worker was screaming for help as he held on to a generator and the crane attached creaked and groaned.

"What happened?" Zeke asks the foreman of the crew.

"He was checking the crane and one of the guys hit a lever, it went haywire. We tried to reverse the controls and it shot up, we can't bring him down" The man tells them in a panic as they all look up.

"Harrison, get out the aerial rescue equipment. Amin, we're going to need the ladder, Carson you're going up with me" Tobias directs everyone on the ground.

"On it, Lieutenant" Drew calls as he goes to help Harrison with the equipment.

"Truck, Let's move it, we get the inflatable out" Zeke calls to his crew. He knew Tobias was going to do his best to pull the guy off but in case he fell, they needed to be prepared.

Tobias and Fernando use the ladder to get up to the top of the crane and harness it to secure themselves. They crawl out further and Fernando anchors in Tobias so he can repel down.

Tris holds a breath as she watches Tobias repel from the top of the crane down to the worker after they get the inflatable in place. She was nervous for him of course but watching him in action, turned her on more than she could even imagine.

"Help me!" The construction worker screams.

"I got you, hang on" Tobias reassures him.

Everyone on the ground stays in position while Tobias secures the worker to a safety line. Tris breathes a sigh of relief when Tobias gives the sign they are both secured and Fernando begins to lower them down.

"Even I have to admit, that was incredibly sexy," Christina leans over and whispers to Tris as they watch Tobias land safely on the inflatable.

Tris bites her lip with a grin as she goes to help secure all the materials. It wasn't a lie, Tobias Eaton had a hold on her and she couldn't wait until she had her hands on him again.

Tris had been wound up all shift. While she had been planning and plotting since Tobias had told her about his dalliance in the turnout room but Tobias had been teaching classes at the fire academy the two days they were off shift and they hadn't had an opportunity to sneak off. Her body was humming and she needed him. The sexual tension between them was high any time they brushed passed each other in the common room she felt the ache between her thighs as she attempted to keep her composure. She could see the flicker of lust in his eyes as he helped her prepare lunch.

Tris looks over her shoulder as she eases into the storage closet off the apparatus floor where the turnout gear for every shift was stored when each shift wasn't on duty. She pulled hers off the truck after their last call, she needed it for her plan to work. It was definitely a risk and nothing she had ever done before, but she took a chance.

They had been busy today, with 3 calls so far and they had just gotten back from responding to a car accident after dinner. Hopefully, it would be quiet for at least an hour if not more, all she really needed was 30 minutes to work out her plan.

The closet was long and deep, and the back of it was practically hidden behind all the rows of hangers holding the turnout gear from 1st and 3rd watch and the extra supplies.

Tobias leans back in his chair in his quarters, rubbing his hands over his face. He had just finished up his part of the paperwork from the last call, he still needed to add in some more details but he was tired. Today was a physical day for squad and he could feel it in his muscles. He wondered in Tris would oblige to give him a massage if they could find some alone time the next afternoon. He looked at his watch, it was 10:30, hopefully, things would be quiet for a few hours so he could take a nap. He could hear the loud snores of a few of the guys in the bunk room already. Just as he is about to lay down on his bed, his phone pings with a text message.

Tris: Turnout Room, Now….Make sure no one sees you.

He grinned, even though they were sneaking around, he was having the time of his life with her. It was getting harder and harder to keep his hands off her during shift. Just earlier that week, he had shut the blinds in his quarters to make out with her on his bed and then again in the laundry room while everyone else was scattered about.

He looks out at the bunk room as he quietly makes his way out toward the front of the firehouse. Zeke was in his quarters doing paperwork, and Shauna, Rameriez, and Thomas were sleeping in their bunks. Dawson was reading a book, things seemed pretty quiet. He makes his way to the apparatus floor and he could see Amar and Harrison in the common room playing chess. Thankfully there was no one else on the apparatus floor as he slid behind the squad truck to the storage room.

He shuts the door, the dim light bulb flickering as he peers toward the back of the room. A huge grin breaks out across his face as he sees what's waiting for him against the back wall. There was Tris in nothing but her bra and panties with her turnout coat on.

She motioned her index finger to tell him to come to her, then moved her hand down inside her panties to rub herself. Tobias was instantly hard because this was literally the sexiest thing he had ever seen in his entire life.

"We have to be quick," She tells him as he moves to the back of the closet and picks her up by the back of the thighs.

"I just damn near came seeing you like this" he breathes before she claims his mouth with a hot steamy kiss. It was like a Playboy magazine centerfold come to life right before his eyes.

"I don't want you to think about her when you come in here anymore," She tells him with a moan as he leans her against the wall and grinds against her while she tightens her legs around his waist and attacks her neck with his lips.

"Fuck, Tris, I'm never thinking about anyone else but you. Only you" he tells her honestly.

She grins as she kisses him aggressively again. He sets her down briefly so she can grab the condom sitting on top of her folded uniform and he can unbuckle his pants. Tobias knew he had never moved so quickly. It wasn't just the need for them to move hastily in case there was another call, he just couldn't wait to be inside her. He was so hard he would bust through the concrete wall. She expertly rolls the condom on and Tobias runs a finger between her legs wanting to get her wet for him. He grunts in pleasure at her groan and realizes she was soaking wet already.

"You want this, you're so wet for me already"

"Yes, I wanted to be ready for you, I was thinking about you while I touched myself waiting for you," she says in a low breathy voice and pushes off her turnout coat onto the floor. She bites her lip and Tobias feels like he turns animalistic with her words and body language.

Tobias lifts her up again pushing her slim panties to the side. She gasps at the movement and then throws her head back to look at the ceiling as he fills her. Her whispered praises drove him mad, he loved hearing her, all the little noises she made, how she would scream his name when they were alone but this was threatening to undo him fast.

"Come for me Papi," she pleads as she holds on to him.

He wanted to get her off even though they were short on time. "I want you to come first all over my dick"

Tris whimpers as she takes his thrusts. She hadn't planned on going across this finish line with this quick little romp, she had only been thinking about him even though she was thoroughly enjoying herself and the feel of him inside her.

Suddenly Tobias sets her down and turns her around placing her hands on the wall and pulling her panties down to her ankles. She arches her back for him and he swiftly enters her from behind. Tris feels her eyes go back in her head when she lifts her leg up and hooks her knee over his arm for a different angle. As Tobias holds up her leg, Tris pulls her lips between her teeth tightly, keeping her lips together as all her cries stay trapped in her throat and Tobias thinks it might be his new favorite sound. The second she starts to come and he feels her tighten around him he sets her leg down and holds her hips to thrust as fast as he can while she braces against the wall to take his thrusts. She shudders when she feels his hand snake around and grip her throat lightly and the other holds on tightly to her shoulder and his grunts become faster. Once he'd emptied into the condom they both breathed heavily and he drops his head kissing her shoulder. Tris smiles as he pulls her up to rest against him moving his hand down to squeeze one of her breasts while biting her earlobe. After a few moments, he reluctantly let her go so they can clean up before anyone noticed they were missing.

"I have never been fucked that good, that hard, and that fast," she tells him honestly while he uses the tissues she brought to deal with the condom and she uses a few to wipe herself before pulling up her panties.

When he's done he pulls her to him for another kiss and slaps her ass causing her to giggle.

"I know I've said it before, but damn, you are fucking amazing. I need you to teach me how to say it in Spanish."

"Eres ambrosas" She tells him while grins while reluctantly pulling away to quickly put on her pants and boots. The thought of him telling her that in Spanish gave her a shiver and she needed to remind herself they were still at work and couldn't lose themselves in each other.

"I hope you know, you're mine as soon as shift is over, I plan on making you scream my name" He promises and bites his lip while looking her up and down. Tris feels another shiver run through her as his eyes linger on her body.

"Oh I'll be ready" she promises as he gives her a wink and then pokes his head out of the door to make sure no one was around before sneaking out.

Tris grins as she pulls her t-shirt over her head and then tucks it in. She grabs her phone and tries to calm her face, she knew Christina, Shauna and Marlene would know she just got fucked good and hard if she was flustered and smiling. Even though she thought she knew he was playing, he was breaking down her walls. Maybe the two of them could make this work.

"So Tris, you look awfully relaxed," Christina pokes as she takes a bite of her pancake.

She, Marlene, Tris, and Shauna had decided to grab breakfast after shift. The three of them knew Tris and Tobias had been sleeping together, they just needed one of them to admit it. The 2nd shift pool was at $300 and everyone was chomping at the bit for the funds.

"I don't know what you mean…" Tris says shifting in her seat.

"Oh, you know exactly what I mean. Give it up Beatrice, I saw you and Eaton both leaving the turnout room within 5 minutes of each other when I went to grab my phone out of the rig from our last call,"

Christina sits back and crosses her arms. She had stayed hidden as she watched with amusement as Tobias crept out of the turnout room peaking around the corner. She thought it was odd so she waited a few minutes and sure enough Tris came out smoothing her outfit down with a smile on her face.

Tris looks like a kid who had her hand caught in the cookie jar, eyes wide as she stops her fork in mid-air as she was about to take a mouthful of eggs, and Shauna and Marlene howl with laughter.

"To be honest, Prior, we've known for a few weeks," Marlene tells her as she sips her orange juice.

"What? How?" Tris groans realizing there was no point in trying to hide it now.

"Well, you two have been conveniently disappearing at the same time or avoiding going out with the group…It wasn't that hard to put together"

Tris bites her lip and smiles.

"I think you two are perfect for each other" Marlene grins and Tris smiles wider.

"So for the record when did you two officially start sleeping together again?" Shauna asks, looking at her phone where all the bets had been placed.

Tris raises her eyebrows as Marlene, Christina, and Shauna all groan in unison as they look down at Shauna's phone.

"You couldn't have gone at it eight weeks ago" Christina complains. Her dream of using the pool to buy a new Telfair bag she wanted to splurge on had just gone up in smoke.

"Why does it matter, what are you looking at?" Tris huffs as she looks across the table.

"2nd Watch had a pool going on to see when you and Eaton were going to get together" Marlene shrugs.

"What!" Tris screeches in disbelief as Christina chuckles and goes back to eating her breakfast.

"I have to give it to you Chris, you almost won, you know Prior pretty well, she held out longer than any of us thought." Shauna laments and she fires off a text to tell the winner the bet was finally over.

"Who won then?" Tris asks, concerned that everyone had been betting on this.

"Chief" Shauna grins as Christina shakes her head.

"Oh my God" Tris sighs dramatically and throws her head back as Marlene laughs.

Shauna's phone dings and She shows Tris her screen.

"He says thanks for the new BBQ grill he's about to buy with his winnings," Shauna laughs and Marlene and Christina join in while Tris drops her head down on the table.

While they finish up she fires off a text to Tobias.

Tris: Well the cat is out of the bag, Dawson, Vega, and Preston cornered me this morning. Did you know there was a pool going?

Tobias: Ha, Typical 51…who was the winner?

Tris: Chief Boden

She giggles when Tobias sends back a shocked gif.

Tobias: So does that mean you're coming over right now?

Tris laughs, as she grabs her wallet to pay the waitress. He was so insatiable but the truth was she couldn't get enough of him either.

Tris: Be there in 15

"Hey, what are you doing tomorrow? I was thinking about going to catch the new Dr. Strange movie." Tobias asks Tris as they pack up their things at the end shift in the locker room.

"That sounds like fun, I've been rewatching the last few so I don't miss anything" She replies closing her locker. Since they had been busted about their relationship she had been enjoying not having to hide their plans for the past month. Sleeping over at each other's places was nice, she could admit she loved waking up snuggled against him during the harsh Chicago winter.

"Ha, me too. Maybe we can grab something to eat first. I heard Ramierz talking about this new Latin Fusion restaurant in the West Loop," He grins as she smiles.

Even though they hadn't stopped sleeping together, things just felt normal between them. They hadn't discussed being in an actual relationship but it was starting to feel like one. They were spending more and more time together outside of the bedroom and not just with their group of friends but alone. He wanted to ask if she would really give them a chance at being in a relationship. He felt good about it and her accepting his invitation for dinner and a movie was a good sign.

They walk side by side out of the Firehouse, Christina and Shauna in front of them chattering about plans for their days off when Christina stops dead in her tracks when they pass the apparatus floor.

"Oh, shit…" Christina lets out as she sees a woman standing on the apron.

"What's wrong Chris?" Tris asks with concern as she looks at her and then stops when she looks to where Christina was looking.

There standing in the middle of the apron with her hands in the pockets of her coat was Nita.

"Hey, Christina, Hey Tris…" Nita says with a nervous smile.

"Nita….what are you doing here?" Tris asks as she walks up to her in shock that her ex was standing in front of the firehouse.

"I can't believe this," Christina whispers as Tobias and Shauna look at the quiet conversation happening in front of them.

"Who is that?" Shauna asks, looking the woman up and down.

"Her Ex… Nita Montgomery, Practically Black Royalty in Atlanta. What the hell is she doing in Chicago?"

"Damn, she's fucking gorgeous…" Shauna blurts out and then winces as she looks over and sees Tobias look like someone had just gut-punched him.

"And she knows it, trust me, there is a picture of that woman next to the definition of high maintenance"

Shauna snorts at Christina's comment.

"I'll catch you later," Tobias says quietly as he pulls his duffle bag higher on his shoulder.

He keeps his head down as he walks past Nita and Tris. Tris bites her lip, as she watches him walk briskly past them.

"What are you doing in Chicago?" Tris asks finding her voice. Her heart was beating so fast and she felt her stomach twist.

"My law firm opened a Chicago office. I, uh, volunteered to relocate and get things up and running with one other lawyer. I've been here a few months"

"Really? How did you know I would be here?" Tris feels like her eyes might pop out of her head.

"I stalked your IG, I finally worked up the courage to come see you, figured I'd take a chance to see if you were working…"

Tris sucks in a breath, she was still basically speechless. She hadn't seen Nita in nearly 5 years and here she was at her firehouse in Chicago of all places. They didn't travel in the same circles in Atlanta so they didn't run into each other and she had been in Chicago for almost a year now.

"Nita, I…Ummm…" Tris shifts. Why was she here? What did she want? Why after all this time would she come to see her? Especially since she hadn't when they were both living in Atlanta.

"Look, I know how ugly it was when we broke up. Can we just have dinner? Talk and catch up?"

Tris looks down at the ground still not sure how she felt.

"Please.." Nita asks softly.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Christina asks Tris as she sits on her bed while Tris flips through the dresses in her closet.

"I said I would go, Christina…"

"I know but…What does this mean… are y'all getting back together?"

"Chris I don't know, I just agreed to talk, that's it, nothing more, maybe she just wants to catch up"

Christina pulls her lips together and doesn't say anything else. She knew pushing Tris would just send her in the opposite direction.

"What about this one?" Tris pulls out an apple green strapless dress.

"Pretty" Christina agrees.

Tris lays it on the bed next to Christina and moves to apply her makeup. She didn't want to start a fight with her best friend but she needed to say what was on her mind.

"Tris…what about Tobias?"

"We aren't together" Tris stops and puts down her foundation brush. She knew this was coming.

"Tris it's kind of fucked up you let him walk past you while you were talking to Nita and you were just talking about what you were going to do while we were off shift and you aren't going to say anything to him?"

"I'll talk to him, I just don't even know what to say yet and we both agreed that we were just casual. I haven't agreed to anything with Nita either." As much as Tris wanted to believe that she and Tobias were just having sex, she couldn't deal with those feelings now.

Christina sighs and gets up to go back to the living room. Maybe Tris needed to get Nita out of her system, but she wouldn't pretend that she was supportive of the idea. However this turned out, she had a feeling things were about to get tense at 51.
