P.S. Last chapter, Only the police car burned, no one was inside.

Max, Zeke, Tobias, and Marlene head over to Precinct 21 to meet with Jack Kang and his team.

"Are you close to finding this guy?" Marlene asks Caleb as she looks up at him and he rubs her shoulders to comfort her. He knew how upset she had been with OFI deciding not to pursue the case and not with him.

"The guy is obsessed with people underestimating him, he's going to crack" Caleb promises.

"Here's the map with all the suspected arsons from the OFI logs going back to 1970" Tobias explains as they roll out the map that cross-referenced Caleb's research with Lynn's. Everyone gathers around the large table in the room to look at the map again of where Phelps had started fires and where his apartment was looking for anything they might have missed.

"We don't know how far back Phelps goes with all this, but we figured the more information we had the better" Max adds.

"We know Phelps isn't his real name, he's been using a fake identity for a long time, we don't know how long," Caleb tells the group.

"Are you kidding me?" Tobias furrows his eyebrows as he looks up at Caleb and then to Zeke and Marlene who looked confused as well.

"He torched one of our patrol cars last night," Eric explains.

"What?! Are you serious?" Marlene gasps looking at Caleb. This guy was getting bold, and he had to be stopped.

"It's actually a good sign, it means our plan is working. We wanted to rattle his cage" Caleb explains.

"Eric, why don't you and I cross reference all these fires with the name Ross McGowan and see where that leads us" Susan offers.

"Pardon me, what did you say?" Max interrupts, his blood running cold.

"Ross McGowan, Phelps' birth name," Eric tells him wondering why Chief Boden was looking so stunned.

"His real name is Ross McGowan, he changed it to Phelps about 12 years ago," Susan tells him wondering why Max was so shocked.

"That is not his birth name," Max tells them, emotion evident on his face.

"What's that chief?" Jack asks, wanting clarification.

"Ross Mc Gowan was a firefighter. He died in the same fire as Reggie Pedrad, the same fire where I got my scars." Max felt like he was in a daze at this information. This man was dark, and he had a bad feeling someone else was going to die before they could stop him.

"So, McGowan is a fake id too, going back 20 years" Jack reasons out and Caleb clenches his jaw.

Anger overcomes Jack and he throws the water bottle he had in his hand against the wall causing Marlene to jump.

"Who is this guy?" Jack yells now frustrated. He didn't like it when perps toyed with them.

"Thanks, guys, we'll update you as soon as we know anything else," Caleb says calmly to the firefighters. If Jack was this keyed up, he needed to strategize and think about what to do next.

Tobias places a hand on Zeke's shoulder as he watches him clench his fist and his jaw. He couldn't imagine the anger running through him or Chief Boden. And to think this bastard had been running free for 20 years killing other people.

"Please don't tell me this means you aren't going to arrest him" Marlene pleads with Caleb.

"Baby look at me, we are going to catch him. This asshole is going down. Kang is just frustrated because we are taking this a bit personally now."

"Caleb, you looked into the man's eyes, he's not human, he's not even an animal. There's nothing there but darkness." Marlene could feel the tears welling up in her eyes

"I know it" Caleb confirms

"You need to arrest him! Make something up, throw him in the pit, and never look back" She pleads making sure she enunciated the word arrest.

"It doesn't work like that" Caleb argues, the frustration evident in his voice.

"It does for Kang, I've seen it" She challenges with her voice shaking.

Caleb knew Jack had a reputation and he did things in an unconventional manner that sometimes crossed a line. He told himself he would never blur lines like that. He knew how much nailing this creep meant to Marlene, and he wanted to make that right but not at the expense of feeling like he had no code of ethics.

"Where is this coming from? You just think we all go rogue whenever we want?" Caleb argues back now.

"Well, what are you doing?" Marlene feels her voice getting louder.

"I'm doing my job, Mar"

Marlene scoffs and turns to head up the stairs. "Man, everyone keeps saying that" After all the work they had put in with OFI, it was a dead end, people saying that it had limits. Her best friend was still dead, and she was sick of hearing about what people couldn't do, that there wasn't enough evidence.

"Well, it's the truth, you may not want to hear it, but I believe in the system Mar. Because at the end of the day it works. We are going to catch Phelps in the act and he's going to spend the rest of his pathetic life right where he belongs, locked up, alone, in the darkness. I promise you." Caleb had never raised his voice like this to his girlfriend, but he was just as frustrated that she didn't have faith in him that he could nail this creep.

"I really hope you are right before he kills somebody else because if he does, that's on you." She turns and storms away and Caleb slams his fist against the wall.

He takes a few minutes to get his emotions together. He was never going to catch this guy without a cool head. Caleb goes back to where Eric, Susan, and Bobby were standing still looking at the map.

"Has anyone been in the interrogation room since we hauled him in?" Eric asks, leaning against the table.

"No…" Susan perks up at Eric's idea thankful that intelligence had their own interrogation room separate from the precinct.

"Then we have his prints" Eric reasons.

"It's a good start, let's keep pushing" Caleb nods in agreement.

"I'm sorry, I'm just so frustrated with everything" Marlene groans as she sits on Tris and Christina's couch and Christina passes her a glass of wine before reclaiming her seat.

"I know and this just creeps me out, he's out there watching us" Tris admits with a shiver.

She knows Marlene had to be upset for her to show up in tears and hearing all that unfolded at the police precinct had her on edge as well and she could tell from looking over at Christina she was nervous now too.

"El te quiere mucho, Vega (He loves you so much, Vega)," Tris says with a sigh. She had never seen her brother so in love,

"Yo tambien lo amo (I love him too)" Marlene groans as she downs the rest of her glass of wine.

"One thing I know about my brother is he will protect you with his last breath, and he's going to do it the right way."

"I love Caleb like he's my brother. If there's one thing I know about him, he's not a dirty cop, no matter what everyone says about Kang ' Christina adds understanding how Marlene was thinking based on all they knew about the Intelligence Unit.

Marlene nods and wipes a tear that falls from her eye.

"Caleb just asked me if you were here, do you want me to tell him no?" Tris asks after her phone buzzes.

"You can tell him where I am," She sighs. As upset as she was, she just wanted to fall into his arms and for him to tell her it was going to be okay.

Twenty minutes later there was a knock at the door. Christina and Tris go into Christina's room to give them some privacy.

"I'm so sorry Mar" Caleb sighs as he runs his hand across his face and Marlene looks at the floor.

"I'm trying so hard to catch this guy and keep you safe…" He starts.

"Sé que usted es (I know you are)"

Marlene feels Caleb's hand tip her chin and she looks up at him.

"Te quiero mucho (I love you so much)" he whispers, moving closer to her.

"yo también te amo, (I love you too) She wraps her arms around his neck, and he snakes his arms around her waist to pull her close to him. Marlene raises up on her toes to press her lips to his.

"te necesito, no puedo hacer esto sin ti (I need you I can't do this without you)" Caleb whispers as he pulls back to stroke her hair and then goes back in for another kiss. This one is more passionate and Marlene whimpers as he lets his hand slide down to her ass to pull her closer to him.

"Lo siento (I'm sorry) ' She whispers when they pull apart again.

Caleb nods and goes back in for another kiss then stops.

"You know if you're going to continue to make out you should probably go to your place" Christina yells from her bedroom.

"Yeah, only Chris and I are allowed to get laid here even if she's moving out!" Tris adds, causing Marlene and Caleb to snicker.

Caleb looks over at Marlene who was fast asleep snuggled next to him in bed. He tries to maneuver and grab the sheet to pull over their naked bodies as she looks like she shivers. He had no idea when Tris moved to Chicago it was going to lead to him finding the love of his life too. He looks down at the engagement ring on her finger and smiles.

Tonight had been perfect. Susan, Christina, Zeke, Tori, Nita, and Tris had all pitched in to help him set up candles and rose petals at Buckingham Fountain for the proposal. He'd been nervous all week as the day got closer, hoping he didn't ruin the surprise.

"qué estás mirando? (What are you looking at)" Marlene mumbles with a smile on her face with her eyes still closed and Caleb chuckles in response stroking her wild hair that was starting to frizz from their post-engagement activities.

"Mi hermosa prometida (My beautiful fiancée)"

"I'm a whole fiancée" Marlene giggles, opening her eyes and pulling Caleb toward her for a kiss.

He grins against her lips. As they continue to kiss a noise from what sounded like the back door causes Caleb to stop.

"¿qué ocurre? (What's wrong)" Marlene asks, confused.

Caleb puts a finger to his lips telling her to be quiet. Another sound comes and this time Marlene hears it, and her eyes go wide.

"Ponte algo de ropa (Put some clothes on)," Caleb whispers.

He eases out of the bed and puts on his boxers that were on the floor when there's another loud crash. Marlene scrambles to grab a shirt and a pair of shorts she had in one of the drawers she used there.

"El Humo! (Smoke)" She yells at the smell that infiltrates her nostrils and then she sees smoke coming from under the door.

Caleb felt the door and it was hot, he opened the door, and his eyes went big that his apartment was on fire. Marlene rushes over to see how bad it was. There was an accelerant being used because the fire was spreading way too quickly. There was no way they would be able to get out to the front or the back door. She closes the door and tells Caleb to wet two towels in the bathroom sink. She moves to his closet and throws down the clothes hanging up.

"Ayúdame (Help me) Pull this down, rápidamente (quickly)" She instructs him how to use the wet towel to cover his face to limit the smoke inhalation. Once they get the bar down Marlene goes over to the bedroom wall that she knows leads to the hallway. She feels around for a stud, then starts banging the wall with the pole, breaking through the drywall making a hole big enough for them to crawl through after a few minutes.

In the hallway, people are starting to fill the hallways looking confused at the sound of the smoke alarms and the faint smell of smoke.

"Fire everyone, you need to get out now! Caleb, get outside and call 911?" She directs and starts banging on doors as Caleb helps usher people quickly to the exit of the building. Marlene starts knocking on doors telling people there was a fire and they needed to evacuate.

There were fire trucks already on the scene by the time Marlene exists the building after making sure there was no one left on the first for.

"Hey, Ritter! Fire is in 1 C and moving fast. Drop two. The floors are clear, I checked but the windows are that new sun-blocking kind" Marlene yells to the firefighter who was on 3rd shift at 51 as he approaches the building after hopping off Truck 81.

"Vega is that you?" Ritter asks getting a closer look.

"Yeah" she coughs. She was covered in soot but she made sure everyone got out.

"You heard her drop two!" Ritter yells back to the other firefighters.

"Estás bien? (Are you okay?)" Marlene asks turning to see Caleb come up behind her.

"Yeah," he tells her pulling her into a tight hug. He never fully understood what it was like for her and his sister to run into burning buildings but now that he had a taste of it he was in awe that they did this every day.

"Caleb! Mar!" Tris cries as she runs past one of the 3rd watch crew from 51 who was helping put the fire out on the building.

"Estás bien? (Are you okay?)" she asks, pulling Caleb in a tight hug for a full minute then moving to Marlene.

"Yes, Mar knew exactly how to get us out of there," Caleb tells his sister as she hugs his fiancée.

"Qué te ha pasado (What happened)? I was home when Chief called after he found out 3rd watch was responding to a call at your building when they called him."

"Prior, someone set that fire. We heard someone break in and they used an accelerant. Everything went up in flames so fast." Marlene tells her.

Tris' eyes go wide as she listens. She had been shaking at the thought of her brother being trapped and not able to get out.

"Tu cree… (Do you think?) Tris starts feeling her stomach twist in knots.

"Yeah, I do," Caleb tells her, wiping his face as he sees Jack walk toward him. He touches Marlene's shoulder, giving it a squeeze, then walks over to Jack.

"Estoy asustada (I'm scared),' Tris whispers to Marlene.

"Yo También (Me too)" Marlene tells her with a shiver.

Thankfully Marlene hadn't given up her apartment yet, so she and Caleb had a place to stay but everything in Caleb's apartment was destroyed. Jack had a unit posted outside Marlene's apartment building as a precaution.

"It's his calling card, he can't help himself," Jack tells his unit as he holds up the clear evidence bag with what remained of the burnt Joker card pulled from the fire at Caleb's apartment.

"We are going to assume that he could come after any of us, so keep your eyes and ears open especially since we know he's used a homemade bomb on that squad car," Jack tells the Intelligence Unit.

Caleb nods, he was frustrated that this guy was slipping through their fingers.

"We are going to get him," Susan tells him, placing a hand on his shoulder knowing what he was thinking.

Tris: So, you really think DeRozan is going to be a candidate for MVP?

Tobias: How can he not be? His numbers are insane!

Tobias chuckles as he continues his back and forth with Tris about MVP candidates. He had been a little surprised when he received a text from her just asking how he was doing because she was shaken after the fire with Marlene and Caleb. Then he wanted to know how she was feeling after a rough call on shift the day before. Now today it was all about basketball. It was an innocent conversation, but he could see she was trying. They had still kept their distance from each other on shift, offering smiles and nods but this was starting to feel like it had before with them.

"Who are you giggling with on your phone, you've been texting nonstop all day" Shauna observes as she goes into the kitchen to make a sandwich.

"Just Prior" Tobias replies not looking up from the message he was sending. They really had been texting all day now that he thinks about it.

Shauna puts down the knife she was using to spread mustard on her bread.

"Tobias, why are you doing this to yourself?"

"Doing what?" Tobias lifts his head up, angry at her tone.

"Getting wrapped up with her again! She's just playing with you"

"It's none of your business Shauna, stay out of it" Tobias warns her now getting up to walk closer to the kitchen.

"God, I just wish you would open up your eyes for once when it comes to her,"

"I'm sorry did I miss what Prior did to you for you to hate her so much?"

"I'm just looking out for you; this girl has done nothing but makes a fool out of you and you're going to get hurt in the process."

"Shauna you aren't my mother, I don't need your permission or your opinion, and Tris and I aren't doing anything"

"Really, that's how it is?" Shauna nods her head scrunching up her face in anger.

"Yeah, and when we moved in with each other we promised to stay out of each other's business. Stay out of mine" He snaps back walking back to the couch.

Shauna was hurt, she never thought in a million years she and Tobias would be like this with each other.

"Maybe it's time I look for my own place," she says coldly "You know so we aren't in each other's business"

She goes to her room leaving her half-made sandwich on the counter and slamming her bedroom door. Tobias throws his head back on the back of the sofa in frustration.

"Prior, Eaton, my office" Max calls both of them as everyone packs up to head home at the end of shift.

Tris wonders if she did anything wrong or if it had been some blowback from the whole Mills altercation. She literally only spoke to him if she had to on a call and so did Marlene. Oddly she and Tobias had been less awkward since they had been texting again. She did notice that Shauna seemed to be avoiding Tobias the entire shift and she wondered what that was about.

"Yes, Chief," Tobias asks as he and Tris stand there wondering what was up.

"Next shift, there is a charity race outside of Chicago Med and we need 51 to send someone to set up a table. Community awareness on fire safety, that kind of thing. The riggs will be by later in the day as long as there isn't a call. I thought you two would be best from Truck and Squad to work at the table. I'll call in floaters for half the shift until things wrap up after lunch. There are some display materials here but the office of Community Outreach at headquarters has several boxes for you to pick up with giveaways, and such."

"Sounds easy enough" Tobias shrugs trying not to show he was excited to have some alone time with Tris outside of the house.

"Sure thing Chief, I've done these types of events in Atlanta, Eaton and I can handle it" She hoped this would show that she could be depended on. With all the tension in the house from her and Tobias and then Mills, she didn't want it to reflect poorly on her.

"You up for this?" Tobias asks her as they walk out of the firehouse.

"Sure, it will be fun" she grins before they separate to walk to their cars.

Zeke places another set of boxes in the back of Shauna's jeep and stands up as she comes around with the others she had in her arms. They always had extra boxes from the liquor distributors dropping off products at Dauntless and Shauna had parked near the back door so she could pick them up.

"You're really going through with this huh?" Zeke asks. He'd tried to stay out of the squabble Shauna and Tobias were in. He and Tobias both agreed that she really wouldn't go as far as moving out, but it seemed as though she was sticking to her guns.

"Yes, Zeke" Shauna replies with an eye roll.

"Don't you think you're overreacting just a little bit?" He leans against the car and crosses his arms waiting for an answer.

Shauna sighs as she closes the passenger side door. She hadn't really wanted to move out, but she called a friend who was a real estate agent and the perfect apartment fell into her lap and she went with it.

"I think Tobias and I need a break from each other. He's right, we aren't supposed to be in each other's business."

"It's his life Shauna, you don't get to dictate who he dates. Remember that Devin chick? You didn't give a damn about what Eaton and I had to say when you were mixed up with her and Prior hasn't done anything like that"

Shauna winces, the truth was her feelings were hurt more than anything. Devin had been bad news and it had taken Shauna months to get straight after Devin's friends ended up robbing Zeke, Tobias, and Shauna's apartment after Shauna gave Devin a key.

"We'll be fine, we just need some space" Shauna reassures him as she goes around to the driver's side door.

On the morning of the race, Tris drops a box of display materials she had picked up from CFD headquarters in their spot which was right next to the CPD booth.

"Burgess, right?" she asks the woman setting up the CPD booth.

"Yeah, Kim, you're Prior's sister? I remember him saying you were a firefighter. I know I've seen you out on a few calls"

"Tris, nice to meet you" Tris smiles and goes to squat down to open one of the boxes of CFD coloring books for the table.

"Showing me up already, you just had to get here early didn't you" Tobias teases as he walks up.

"Shut up and go get the rest of the stuff out of my car" Tris shakes her head with a chuckle and tossing him her keys out of her back pocket before pointing to the direction her car was parked in.

He grins as he catches them. It felt good to laugh and joke with her again. Thirty minutes later everything is set up and people are in the area for the community fair mixed with people registering for the race.

"Hey, I'm going to go run inside the cafeteria for a breakfast sandwich, want anything while I'm gone?" Tris asks Kim and Tobias.

"Coffee would be great!" Kim tells her with a grateful smile.

"Need help carrying stuff? Kim, would you mind watching the booth for us?" Tobias asks.

"Sure, I got it, the race hasn't even started yet" Kim shrugs.

"Thanks," Tris says with a smile as she and Tobias walk towards the entrance of the hospital. She had butterflies in her stomach for some reason.

"Hey! Howard, how's it going?" Tobias shouts and then waves to a CFD firefighter who had a number pinned to his hoodie signifying he was running the race. The man waves back and Tris and Tobias walk toward the side entrance of the hospital where the cafeteria was.

"Hey, Tris! Eaton!" Uriah calls to them with a wave as he approaches the entrance. He was helping out with the race booth today. He loved seeing patients in the ER but talking to people was great too. Tris turns to wave to him with a smile as they head into the building.

A few minutes later the loudest boom that could only come from an explosion shook the building. Uriah is blown backward as the explosion sends him flying through the air and he lands on his back hard when he hits the ground. His ears were ringing from the loud boom, and it took him a few minutes since he had the wind knocked out of him to stand up. Coughing and covered in dust, he focuses on checking out his surroundings. The area where Tris and Tobias had just walked into the building was covered in rubble. There were screams coming from all around him. For a second his mind goes back to Afghanistan, and he closes his eyes to focus and remind himself where he was. After taking a deep breath he opens them and goes into response mode.

There's a man a few feet away from him with both his legs blown off screaming in pain, to his left people stumbling trying to get away from the flames of a car that was on fire that had been pulled up to the race area. He turns again and sees that the entrance to the ER is gone.

He runs over to kneel next to a man who seemed to have been knocked over.

"Okay we are going to use that tent as a triage, anyone who can get up and walk I need you to move that way" Uriah yells.

"Hey, I'm CPD, Burgess, how can I help?" Kim tells him as he comes over to help him with the man he was looking at.

"I'm Uriah, I'm a resident in the ER here. The ER entrance is destroyed, until more help arrives, we gotta clear the area as much as possible"

Kim nods and puts the man's arm over her shoulder to help him walk in the direction Uriah wanted everyone to go.

When Squad 3, Truck 81, and Ambulance 61 arrive, Uriah breathes a little easier now that other people were on the scene to help.

"This is what we've been trained for, let's get to work" Zeke yells back to Mills, Vega, and Newhouse who was a floater standing in for Prior as they hop off the truck.

"Uri!" Zeke calls as his brother runs toward him. "What happened?"

"An explosion," Uriah tells him, "I have no idea where from"

"Okay there's got to be people trapped on those floors" Harrison observes as he looks up at how half of the building was blown off"

"This couldn't have been an accident" Max observes, there was too much damage.

"Bomb?" Zeke asks.

"It had to be '' Uriah confirms.

"The structure is unstable" Max observes.

"Have you seen Eaton and Prior, they were here for the race?" Max asks him, wanting to use everyone at his disposal.

"They were going inside to grab coffee when the bomb went off," Uriah says gravely.

"Inside? Shit," Zeke expresses as he feels his heart sinking.

"Eaton's inside?" Amar asks as he comes up to hear his orders from Max.

"I'm going to help out with triage," Uriah tells him as he runs towards Christina and Zeke gives him a pat on the back.

"Rameriez, Barnes with me, Pedrad, Singh you two coordinate the rescue and recovery, we've got to get to as many people as we can who are trapped," Max tells them as everyone else goes to help pull survivors out of the rubble.

"You two had bomb training when you went through Squad certification, tell me what you see?"

"Probably a car bomb from the amount of damage," Fernando assesses.

"And what do we know about car bombs?" Max asks them.

"There is usually more than one," Harrison recalls from his training.

"Parking deck, search everywhere to find that second bomb, look for a rental car or a car without tags," Max instructs.

"We're on it," Harrison tells him, and he and Fernando take off running toward the parking garage.

"What do you have?" Uriah asks Christina as he sees her doing chest compressions on a man in the grass.

"He's passed out, trying to get his heart going again, he's in cardiac arrest," She grunts as she does CPR.

"Chris, he's not going to make it. The ER is gone, by the time someone gets here to transport him, it will be too late. We need to focus on the people we can bandage up and take care of in the field" Uriah explains as he watches Christina's face fall.

This is what being a medic on the battlefield looked like, you had to make tough decisions. He knew she had never been in a mass casualty situation like this before and it was going to be tough for her. She nods and stops the compressions.

"Male victim, leg laceration, he's bleeding heavily" Shauna grunts as he helps a man down on the grass next to Uriah.

"Let's bandage him up. Where's your jump bag?" Uriah asks. Christina slides it over understanding now how he was processing victims.

"Dawson, I need your help" Shauna yells from a few feet away.

"I got this go," he tells her, and she nods to help Shauna.

Tris groans, feeling a pain in her head. She was trying to remember what she was doing and why her entire body was aching. She opens her eyes and starts to panic a bit as it all comes back to her, and she notices there was nothing but concrete rubble around her.

"Tobias" She calls as her memories flood in, and she remembers them walking into the hospital to grab breakfast.

She moved to sit up as best she could, but it was dark, and she didn't want to cause anything to come down on top of her. She has a pain in her side as she moves but she ignores it. She had to find Tobias and find some way out of there.

She remembers she had her phone in her hand and it was nowhere to be found. The screen was cracked on her Apple watch, so she didn't have anything to try and communicate.

She crawls a little bit and she sees a hand. She quickly scoots a little further and breathes a sigh of relief that it was Tobias, and she feels his pulse after checking his wrist. There was a steel rod from a piece of concrete sticking in his side.

"Tobias, can you hear me? I need you to wake up for me" she tells him scooting up to him. She pats him on the face gently repeating his name again and she takes a deep breath when his eyes start to flutter.

"There we go, open those eyes for me"

"Tris…what happened?" Tobias felt like his head was spinning.

"Hey, there you are. There was some kind of explosion, I think. Can you look at me?"

She tries to keep her voice calm and soothing. She didn't need him to freak out with the rod still lodged in his side. There was a faint bit of light coming from above casting an eerie glow. Tris uses the little bit of light to look into his eyes.

"I think you might have a concussion. I need you to stay awake and talk to me Tobias"

"Well, I was hoping to spend time with you today. It looks like I got my wish" he groans suddenly feeling the pain in his side.

"Well, I guess we have to laugh to keep from crying don't we" Tris tries to give him a smile.

"I need to look at your side, Okay, we gotta get that rod out of you"

"I'm glad I'm trapped with a paramedic," Tobias says weakly.

Tris was thankful for that too right now. Tris scoots back to the other side and inspects the piece of metal. She pushes on the piece on concrete, but it doesn't budge.

"Tobias you're bleeding, and I need to stop it, but I can't move this…"

There wasn't a lot of space to maneuver but Tris found a way to position herself so she could use her legs to push the piece of concrete. She lets out a groan as she pushes with all her might.

"Ahhhhh" Tobias screams in pain as the piece of concrete moves and the piece of metal comes out of his side.

The rubble shifts and Tris stops moving for a second to make sure that nothing came down on top of them before quickly crawling to inspect the wound Tobias had in his side.

"I'm sorry, I know that hurt" She soothes. Next, she undoes her jacket and does the best she can to wrap it around his waist to tie it tightly like a tourniquet and then holds her hand to the wound.

"I gotta get us out of here" she murmurs. The problem was there was no way out.
