It was regretful in a way. Madara almost wished he hadn't have kissed her. At first things were fine but after they broke apart she seemed so uncertain. And to make that worse, as he was about to question her Uzashi showed up. Then again with his sudden appearance Madara guessed he had been spying and infuriated by what happened.

Luckily he only called them back to dinner, probably to break them apart. Sakura on the other hand left to her room for the night. Now he was sitting at the table with Hashirama and Mito with a few other people. Most of them were drunk, expect the Senju surprisingly, with more of the guests slowly but surely heading to their rooms. The party was almost over.

Madara sat back on his hands while looking at ceiling lost in thought, his second cup of sake barely touched. For once he wanted to have a good time but worried that he may have allowed things to mess up. Had he taken his chance to early? Did she think he was tricking her or trying to purposely mess things up for Uzashi? He should have done something sooner. He admitted his feelings too late and acted at a bad time. She could easily believe he did it on purpose to annoy the Uzumaki, since he technically showed interest first.

"You've seem troubled since you returned. What is bothering you?" Hashirama asked leaning more towards him.

"Nothing." He moved his head downward and looked away with a bit of a scowl.

"I know you well enough to know something isn't right," Hashirama commented.

"Hn."

"Did something happen with Sakura-chan?" Hashirama asked with his arms crossed a smile, his eyes narrowing.

"It does not concern you. Stay out of it," Madara snapped. Luckily the others were wrapped up in laughter that they did not care for their particular conversation. Except Mito, she seemed to be eyeing the two and keeping conversation with the others at the same time.

"Madara, you do realize I know?" Hashirama teased.

"Nani?" he growled.

"If you like Sakura-chan that much, go speak with her. Unless you already screwed it up," Hashirama said in a tease and shrug, sipping his sake.

Madara tried to think of a retort but was unable to. Right now that was exactly what he wanted to do but he wasn't sure if she wanted to see him. He needed to clarify some things and find out what was going on with Sakura. She didn't seem angry or upset in any way. Maybe she was confused and needed sleep? He wouldn't get any sleep unless he knew what she was thinking.

"How would you even know?" Madara questioned with narrowed eyes.

"Honestly, she is the only woman you have ever gotten along with. And when we are all together you always have that look when speaking to her in particular. S I say make your move," Hashirama told him a cherry attitude.

"I... already did," he answered, hoping to avoid explanations.

"Did she punch you?" he asked as if expecting a yes.

"Iie. She kissed back," he said in almost a whisper, looking away. "But she then went back to her room after we were suppose to return."

"Then maybe you need to talk with her. Right away," he suggested.

"Morning is taking too long," he commented.

"Why not just go to her room? You must speak with her so I am sure she would understand."

"That would be highly inappropriate," Madara shot back quickly, trying not to think about doing just that.

"And kissing her so suddenly isn't?" Hashirama grinned. Times limes like this was when Madara wanted to slap him the most.

After thinking on it for some time, he actually found himself getting up to go find Sakura's room. He had no choice, it was eating away at him inside to think she might think badly of him.

Tossing and turning, she tired to sleep but everything was rushing through her mind all at once. Sakura wanted to keep her mind on other things that have been stressing her, she really wanted to get thoughts organized, but her mind was going over what had happened earlier. Madara kissed her and she couldn't help but feel giddy inside. More than when she had a crush on Sasuke. That was saying something too.

Thinking about it made her blush and groan, not knowing what to do. He had strong feelings for her that was for certain. She could tell with how passionate the kiss had been. And she couldn't help but think about him all night. Even after Uzashi had rudely interrupted. In which she was still pissed about yet could not think on at the moment. With a sigh she laid on her stomach and sighed.

After a moment of trying to get her head straight, Sakura began to tap her finger on the floor. Why did she kiss back? A question she repeated in her mind while denying the only answer that came to her. Did she feel the same way? Maybe. She didn't want to admit it but she had feelings for him. And thanks to Hashirama and his constant chatting with her earlier in the night, she was even more conflicted than before.

It was only friendship before. Seeing him in a different light did make things easier for what she knew would come if he left the village. But to be in such a relationship was to much to think about. It was as if she betrayed all those who she knew and loved, even if this was a different world. It did not change the fact that everything happened in her home world.

She started to tear up, clenching her pillow as she did. Why was life so complicated all of a sudden? She turned as the sliding door opened to see Madara there in his yukata, concerned eyes glancing over her. She swallowed hard and looked back down to her pillow, not too thrilled that he didn't knock. Of all people, it had to be him. he would even take Uzashi or Tobirama at this point.

"Sakura-chan?" he said as he closed the door before walking up to her.

"Go away," she said almost in a whisper.

"Did I do something wrong?" he asked reluctantly while kneeling beside her. She sighed heavily, wiping her tears.

"Why do you make things complicated?" she asked angrily looking up at him.

As soon as she looked at him, Sakura suddenly felt guilty for being so harsh so quickly. For a brief moment she could see in his eyes how upset he was from that questioned. She huffed before getting up and hugging him swiftly, much to his surprise. Madara wasn't as bad as his first impression. Looking at him now when he was actually showing his weakness showed just how much he changed. If the situation was different, there would be a chance that she would have not tried to distance herself.

"Forgive me. I did not mean to be so forward as I had been," he said, holding onto her waist.

"I..." she started, leaning back to look at him. Her eyes looked down as she tried to think of what to say, slightly blushing at their current position. "I don't know what to think. Or how to feel about it," she explained.

"You're not angry with me?" he asked hopeful.

"Iie."

As soon as she looked at him, she did what she never thought she would do. Sakura leaned down and kissed him just as suddenly as he had kissed her just a couple hours ago. He kissed back without hesitation, moving a hand to her cheek to pull her closer and deepen the kiss. Something felt so wrong yet so right about everything that was happening. Before long she was moaning as his other hand started to rub down her backside and then down past her thigh, until rubbing back up it soon after. She immediately jumped and backed off him in panic. It was going too far too fast so she stopped it before it did.

She avoided eye contact with him, trying to shield herself. Madara didn't know why he had done it. Well he did, they got caught up in the moment. But now that he startled her he came to his senses. He carefully took her hand and held it tightly, pulling her into a hug. She was reluctant but complied, which surprised him greatly. He half expected her to get angry and tell him to leave her alone.

"Sakura-chan, I didn't mean to..."

"Stop," she interrupted with a shaky tone.

She held onto him tightly, relaxing as he held her close. At least she wasn't upset about what just happened. Thinking about Sakura not getting angry and punching things was such a strange thought. After a while he noticed her grip softened and her body felt a little heavier, signs that she had fallen asleep. He grinned before laying her down to cover her up. With a sigh he went to get up and leave until she reached around to grab onto him, with only one eye slightly open.

"Stay."

He nodded and sat down next to her, petting her head as she fell back asleep. He wasn't sure what to think of the situation but from what had happened he guessed she must have felt something for him. A few moment later he laid beside her, watching as she slept. Slowly but surely Madara felt himself dozing off before he finally fell asleep next to her.

Author's Note: Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I had gone to a con and forgot to bring my laptop so I could update. After that we had issues because of the rental and its stupid flat. Ugh, problems never stop. Then work came around suddenly and I haven't been able to do anything but get up, go to work, come home and pass out from exhaustion. Not to mention we were given a month notice to move out and so my boyfriend and I have been getting things together without internet connect. Our roommate had the stuff in his name and he moved out early. So until next month I wont be able to update so I made sure I updated and started working on the next chapter to post when I can. Enjoy!
