Juvia's pregnancy announcement to the guild went as could be expected- the guild threw a party, where over half of the members ended up drunk and passed out in various positions around the guild. Much to the amusement of Gray, Juvia, Levy, and Gajeel, all of whom didn't partake in the drinking portion of the festivities, the couples of the guild all ended up in hilarious (to the four of them) positions.

Natsu ended up with his head resting underneath Lucy's skirt, to block out the light, Gray had said. Flamebrain doesn't have the balls to do that in the guild, if at all. When Lucy woke up and found Natsu with his head in a sensitive area, she screamed and Lucy kicked him through the open guild doors.

Laxus and Mira were naked in a closet, both found when Max went looking for his broom that Warren hid on him as a prank. They woke up when the light hit their faces from the door opening. Unfortunately for Max, he ended up needing a bed in the infirmary after they ganged up on him. Nobody mentioned it after that.

Elfman and Evergreen were conspicuously absent from the guild hall, but both of them came out of the same back room later on in the morning. Erza, of course, was not in an embarrassing position, but when she found out about Mira and Laxus, and Natsu and Lucy, she felt slightly jealous, not that she would admit it to anyone. She missed Jellal, who was on a mission with Crime Sorciere at the moment. Her and Jellal had tied the knot a month back, and she missed her husband greatly.

Juvia felt like her pregnancy was fairly easy. So far, she had had little morning sickness, and according to her, the mood swings and cravings weren't that bad either. She did have some swelling in her feet, and she had to pee all the time, but it wasn't so bad. All she could focus on were thoughts of her baby growing inside of her, and it made her ignore some of her worse symptoms.

Now, if you ask Gray what he thought about her pregnancy, he would have a wildly different answer. According to Gray, Juvia's mood swings were vast; she could go from laughing to crying at the drop of a hat. She had always been emotional, but now it was much more intense. He once saw her start sobbing because a little boy dropped his ice cream cone. ("But, Gray-sama! He dropped… his ice… cream! It was the… the only treat he… h-had and now it's… g-gone!") As a result, he started carrying tissues in his pockets at all times. Unfortunately for him, he lost them every time he lost his pants. Her cravings, too, were varied and disgusting. Her biggest craving was for ice cream, which wasn't bad in and of itself, but she would always put the most disgusting things on top of it. Sometimes it was pickle juice, sometimes it was french fries, but mostly it was hot sauce. Now, Gray had a strong stomach, but seeing his gorgeous wife pouring hot sauce on a bowl of chocolate ice cream made him want to hurl.

Everyone at the guild also saw some of Juvia's symptoms. Cana had to deal with the most of Juvia's sickness, since she drank so much. The smell of alcohol hit Juvia particularly hard, and every time she got too close to Cana, she would vomit. It got so bad that Cana started carrying a bucket around with her. Mira saw most of Juvia's cravings, and learned her food aversions, which was greatly helpful to Juvia; Mira would keep those foods away from her. Wendy was very considerate to Juvia, and if she was aching anywhere, Wendy would come and help her with sky magic. Lisanna would sit with Juvia and keep her company while they both knit. Bisca could always be counted on to share advice when Juvia needed it from her own pregnancy with Asuka.

Levy, too, was having a fairly easy pregnancy. Droy absolutely adored both Juvia and Levy while they were pregnant. They ate almost as often as he did, and he always had friends to eat second breakfast, second lunch, and first dinner with now. Elfman was always telling both girls how manly carrying a baby was, much to Evergreen's chagrin. Gajeel absolutely doted on his wife and best friend, second only to Gray when it came to Juvia's care.

It was a day in early September when Levy waddled into the guild, followed closely by Gajeel and Lily. She looked very crabby, a frown lodged on her tiny face. She was getting very tired of having to carry this weight around, and couldn't wait until the twins were born. Thus she was getting a little crabbier every day.

Gajeel looked wild around the eyes, obviously not able to wait until the babies were born either, if mostly for the reason that his wife would be happier. Lily had a smirk on his face; he quite enjoyed Levy harassing Gajeel like this, since normally it was the other way around.

"Shrimp, slow down," Gajeel said, hurrying to catch up to her. "I don't want you to fall."

Levy turned around, her brown eyes flashing. "Gajeel Redfox, do you think I am not capable of walking by myself? I am not an invalid, I am pregnant!"

Max and Warren, sitting nearby, exchanged grins with each other, but stopped when Gajeel threw them a dirty look.

"No, Shrimp, that's not it," he insisted, hating the way she seemed to thrust her huge belly at him, as if throwing it in his face that her condition was all his fault. It was made even worse by how tiny she was and the two babies; her belly seemed even bigger. "I love you, and I want to make sure you and our little ones stay safe."

Her eyes softened, but as soon as he patted her on the head, he was thrown back in the doghouse. She whirled away from him. "Get away from me Gajeel. I just want to be alone for a-" She cut off, a hand flying to her stomach. "Oh," she said.

Gajeel rushed to her, pushing aside Macao with a barely mumbled, "Sorry." He grabbed Levy's hand and said quickly, "What's wrong, Shrimp? What happened?"

"Oh," she said again, still holding her belly. "Gajeel, I think that was a contraction. It was small, but it was there. Ohhhh." At this one, she doubled over, groaning quietly. "I think we should go to the infirmary now."

Gajeel, the whole time she was talking, was staring at her with wide eyes. He was frozen, not quite ready to become a father.

When he still wasn't moving, Levy yelled, "Gajeel!"

At that he unfroze, and started frantically looking around for Wendy. "Wendy! Wendy!"

The little girl popped up under his elbow, having heard the whole exchange. "Come on, Gajeel," she said. "Let's go meet your babies." She led the two of them through the guild to the infirmary.

At another table, Juvia sat watching them with huge blue eyes, one hand unconsciously rubbing her belly. She was four months pregnant, and barely showing. Gray watched her as her eyes continued to get wider and wider; they could hear Levy groaning every few minutes from the infirmary just up the stairs, the groans sometimes punctuated with a sharp scream. At every scream, Juvia's face got as white as a ghost. Gray reached his hand across the table to grab hers.

Squeezing her hand tightly, he said, "Juves, I am here with you. Don't forget you aren't alone in this."

Juvia looked at him and her eyes filled with tears. "Juvia loves Gray-sama so much!" she sobbed, throwing herself out of her chair and into his lap.

Gray caught her and held her tightly as she cried into his neck, a little scared himself about the labor part of the pregnancy. He didn't dare tell her that though. Better if she didn't know he was nervous.

Lucy and Natsu came over to sit with them, then. Lucy looked nervously up at the door to the infirmary every time Levy cried out. Levy was her best friend, after all. Natsu noticed the tension and said brightly, "Don't worry. Levy is strong. She's a Fairy Tail wizard. She can handle anything!"

Lucy looked at him gratefully.

The four of them sat at the table all afternoon, eating food and playing cards, just waiting for the babies to be born. Neither couple wanted to leave until that happened. Gradually Levy's screams grew closer together, sometimes with a shout from Gajeel mixed in.

"Ha! I bet she's breaking his fingers!" Natsu shouted with glee each time Gajeel whimpered.

Gray threw Natsu a dark look, fervently hoping that Juvia would be kinder to him when it was their turn.

There were two times when it became oddly silent, and then there was the cry of a baby. Each time, Lucy and Juvia, who were at this point holding hands, exchanged looks of joy. Both of them had tears streaming down their cheeks. Natsu and Gray just looked at them. For Juvia, at least, this was a normal occurrence, but Lucy wasn't often a crier.

Finally, Wendy came out of the room. The whole guild stopped partying to look at her.

"Please welcome to the guild Isa Lucy Redfox," at this Lucy's eyes teared up again, "and Demir Metalicana Redfox." Wendy's eyes were shining brightly as she spoke, and the whole guild gave a raucous cheer.

Wendy came down the stairs and made her way to their table. "Levy and Gajeel want to see you," she said with a smile.

The four of them got up and followed Wendy up the stairs. "Okay," she said when they reached the door of the infirmary, "each of you needs to use some hand sanitizer before you come in please."

They did, and Wendy allowed them into the room where the new parents were getting acquainted with their babies.

Juvia and Lucy rushed forward, and Gray and Natsu let them without an argument, knowing the girls would want to hold and cuddle and kiss the babies as soon as possible.

Levy was laying in the bed looking exhausted, but extremely happy. Gajeel was looking down at her with a proud expression on his face. Natsu noticed with glee that some of his fingers were bandaged. Each of them was holding a blanket wrapped little someone. Gajeel was holding a pink blanket, and Levy blue.

"This is my daughter, Isa," he said proudly to them, showing off the tiny baby.

She was beautiful, with little tufts of black hair. When she opened her eyes for a moment, the girls could see that they were the same shade of brown as Levy's.

"And this is Demir," said Levy, just as proudly, holding out the swaddled bundle.

Demir looked just the same as his sister, with black hair and the same tiny little nose. He never opened his eyes, but the girls assumed they would be brown, too.

Juvia reached out slowly toward the baby in Levy's arms. "May Juvia?" she asked.

Levy hesitated for only a second, but gave Juvia the baby in her arms. Gajeel went over to Lucy and handed her Isa. Lucy took her carefully, looking with love at the little girl who Levy named after her.

Gray and Natsu went over to talk to Gajeel while Levy, Lucy, and Juvia cooed over the babies.

Gajeel spoke softly, too low for the girls to hear them. "That was the most traumatic experience of my life. You have no idea how bad that was. I am pretty sure I never want to have kids again."

Gray looked at him, horrified, while Natsu snickered.

"Seriously," he told them. "Do whatever your woman tells you when she's in labor. Hell, do whatever she wants forever, since she's the one who has to go through that."

Gray was freaking out now, understandably, but when he looked over at Juvia holding Demir, face glowing with happiness, all of his fear went right out the window. She was so beautiful, so goddamn beautiful, and he couldn't wait until she was holding their own baby, no matter how bad it got before that happened. And when they got home that night, he showed her just how much he loved her.
