Here we are back with another chapter of Danny and Katie
Not much to say except stay safe everyone
Here we go
After Many Dates Danny and Katie
Sam yawned the morning was evil she hated getting up so early but if Sam didn't wake up early she wouldn't see her husband in the daylight hours walking into the kitchen she saw him yawning while waiting for their ancient coffee maker to do it's job
"Come on come on" he said tiredly watching the pot filled with what her brother in law called hot brown morning potion Sam tried not to laugh sneaking up behind him she wrapped her arms around his neck kissing his cheek "you know" she told him kissing his cheek again "you wouldn't be so ticked at the coffee maker if we woke up later"
"I'd be annoyed with this hunk of junk at any time" he told her turning to face her "besides I have to get up early for work"
Sam smiled wrapping her arms around his neck Sam felt his arms around his waist pulling her in tight Sam looked into Tommy's eyes before the two kissed
Yes Sam Pickles Nee Manson had been married for four years now it had been a long path getting here it had started in the summer when she was fourteen and her then crush/best friend Danny Fenton had introduced her and Tucker to the girl he had met over the summer in some dating service Kitty Pryde
Sam had wanted to hate Kitty but she couldn't bring herself to hate the Jewish girl she was perky fun and beautiful making Sam feel jealous and furious
Sam had been furious with Tucker when she found out Danny had only met Kitty because Tucker had wanted to do a dating service and meet girls Sam had wanted to explode she needed an outlet for her anger
That's when the Box Ghost had showed up
Sam had fought ghosts a lot over the years when Danny was dating Kitty then a girl from Oregon named Wendy then Starfire of the Titans
Sam had dated a couple of guys herself over the years Henry Hart Cristopher Morgan but none of her relationships ever lasted long she hadn't been able to get over her feelings for Danny
Which is why they both broke up with her it was at the beginning of their senior year after Danny and Starfire had broken up when Sam had finally confessed to Danny about her feelings
They had dated for a year and at first things were great amazing like everything she ever imagined
But the difference between real life and fantasy was things got in the way whether it was ghosts super villains paparazzi or just her and Danny having different opinions they just didn't work out
It was at senior prom that the relationship really died when Sam was dancing with Danny it hadn't been like their first dance after Danny had saved her from the amulet of Aragon
The spark had died the romance was gone Sam still loved Danny but it wasn't the same it was more platonic like he was her brother
Danny felt the same the two left the dance floor finding a quiet place to talk their relationship ended
At least their romantic one
But they would always be friends
After that Sam had kind of sworn off boys focused on saving the world and getting her college degree it was one night Sam was studying in the library for her exams when she bumped into him Tommy Pickles he was a film student three years younger then her he was kind sweet and one of bravest men she had ever met in her life
He proved that when he jumped into the help her when Aragon had tried to abduct her saying some medieval garbage about 'reclaiming his bride' after the creep had been sucked back into a thermos Sam had thanked Tommy by taking him to dinner
They'd been together ever since happily married
It had taken a while but Sam had found her perfect match
Ironically Danny had met Tommy back when he went on a blind date with his cousin
Sam mentally shrugged small world
Sam smiled "you run the studio I think they'll be fine if you come in a little later in the morning" Sam said knowing her husband was a perfectionist he wanted to be involved with every step of the film making process
Sam and Tommy kissed again before Sam walked over to the coffee maker filling a couple of travel mugs handing one to a sleepy Tommy
"We're a small studio we have to work twice as hard as the big names" Tommy said happily taking the mug kissing Sam "I'll see you after work"
"I'll be here" Sam said
The married couple kissed one last time before Sam headed out the door
Danny had a goofy grin on his face as he flew through the obstacle course in Fenton Works
Over the years since Danny stopped the Disasteroid Fenton Works had really grown becoming a massive company his parents ghost inventions being sold all over the world
Danny flew through rings phasing through a wall targets popped out of the walls surrounding Danny and firing blasts at Danny bobbing and weaving before doing a barrel roll he fired a small barrage of blasts hitting the targets an alarm sounded the targets slid back into the wall with the rest of the obstacles
"Nice work little brother' Jazz's voice said through the loud speaker "you beat your old record by half a minute"
Danny floated down to the ground powering down he stepped out of the training room grabbing a bottle of water he was met by Sam and Jazz Sam smiled knowingly "nice work dude" Sam said holding out her fist Danny smiled fist bumping with one of his oldest friends
"Yeah" Jazz said with a knowing look "you've been in a real good mood the last few days"
Danny smiled knowing exactly why he had been in a good mood it was because of a certain blonde beauty who looked really good in red not that he was going to tell Sam and Jazz it had been a while since he was in a relationship he wanted to keep it private for a little bit
"It's probably because of the mutant rights bill" Sam told Jazz before looking to Danny "congrats man you've been working on that for a long time" Sam winked at him Danny smiled "yeah that must be it"
Jazz seemed to buy it she walked off leaving Danny and Sam alone "thanks Sam" Danny said
Sam nodded a smile on her face "you did the same when me and Tommy started dating" Sam said Danny nodded remembering how intense Sam's parents were when it came to their daughter dating
They weren't as bad as Phantasma's dad Danny still had no idea how that guy managed to stay sane with the universe's worst father in law but still Sam's parents could get overly involved
He remembered after their breakup they tried to set her up with some French model what was his name again
Danny shrugged it had been so long since Sam had came to patrol annoyed by her parents talking about that guy
He was nice but he apparently was more clueless that some girl liked him then Danny used to be
And that was saying something coming from the king of clueless himself
"So are we still on for drinks after work with his honor the mayor" Sam asked while she and Danny walked through the halls of Fenton Works "I still can't believe he went into politics"
Danny laughed he couldn't believe it either "he's better then the Fruit Loop or Montez" Danny said "or worse King Tuck" talking about when Tucker went on a power trip with the Scarab Scepter
After a moment of laughing Danny ended up shaking his head "I can't tonight" Danny smiled "I've got a date raincheck"
"Sure" Sam said smiling teasingly "have fun with Katie"
Danny blinked how did she know seriously how did she know "I never said it was Katie" Danny tried to deny
Sam's teasing smile got bigger "you did just now"
Danny groaned shaking his head while his kindergarten best friend laughed at his expense
Katie had a goofy lovestruck smile on her face it's been there since she her date with Danny last night
'Oh Danny' Katie thought it was like she was a teenager all over again
Thankfully without the rage explosions and random acts of property damage
Katie shook her head from her thoughts it wasn't good to think about Danny while she was in the middle of class putting on her Logan Face she snarled "come on move it maggots hustle" Katie called out getting her students to pick up the pace while they continued to run laps around the training room
Katie smiled no wonder Logan loved this so much
Katie's smile died down a little bit she still missed her old teacher
'I wonder what Logan would say about me and Danny' she wondered to herself imagining Logan
"So Spooky got together with Time Bomb big deal" he'd say something like that before walking off
Katie smiled that's exactly what he would have said
Katie reminisced for a few moments more before clapping getting her students attention "all right everyone that's enough for today" she called her students stopped running some of them falling over making Katie nostalgic it was like back when she was a first recruit and Logan was standing where she was Katie watched as the students walk off towards the locker room
Katie felt her phone buzz pulling it out she grinned it was a text from Danny
Meet at Antonios at 7
Katie giggled 'sounds great:) she texted back pocketing her phone
"I take it you won't be at the institute tonight" Professor Xavier asked Katie turned seeing the old professor more wrinkled and grey he was before but still he was still the same professor Xavier that Katie had met all those years ago
"Professor I-" Katie began but the Professor held up a hand
"You don't have to explain yourself Katie your an adult and it's not your night to watch the students" the Professor said wheeling forward he smiled "I'm sure you and Danny will have a great time"
Katie frowned how did the Professor know that did he read her mind
"Telepathy is unnecessary when one happens to wheel by the parking lot window seeing you and Danny climb out of the limo" the Professor explained with a fatherly smile Katie blushed she hadn't thought anyone had caught her and Danny
"Professor I" Katie began the Professor interrupted again
"As I said you are an adult and I hope you enjoy yourselves tonight" the Professor said before wheeling off leaving an embarrassed Katie in his wake getting her blush under control Katie checked her phone it was five thirty now she had plenty of time to shower change and head to the Italian an restaurant by the institute Katie hurried off to her room in the faculty wing
Like the Professor said she was going to have fun with Danny tonight
Katie waited patiently Danny was running a little late checking her phone she saw it was 7:05 should she call him
She didn't want to seem like one of those insecure girls their relationship was so new
And she didn't want to scare him off
Katie looked at phone wondering if she should just call him when Danny came in out of breath "sorry I'm late" he said walking over to her was there a limp in his step she thought worried "are you all right" she asked looking him over the limp she saw was beginning to go away with his healing factor but still she was concerned that he was limping at all"
Danny nodded "I'm fine" he promised "Tiger Claw had ambushed the turtles on my way here"
'That psycho is still alive' Katie thought knowing all about the mutant tiger mercenary with a grudge against the mutant turtles who lived in the sewers
At first Katie had thought the idea of talking turtles living in the sewers was weird but this was New York after all and she did grow up in Acmeville
"I'm just glad your ok" Katie said kissing Danny on the cheek
'Was that too forward' she thought worried Danny smiled "I'm not going anywhere" he said before he smiled kissing her on the cheek "except dinner with the most beautiful girl in the world"
A red hot blush covered her face at being called beautiful before she walked side by side with Danny over to the maitre'd to begin their date
And that's the chapter a bit of fluff before getting to the more serious parts of the story tune in next time for more
