Here we are with another chapter of Danny and Katie a little romance and a little action

After Many Dates Danny and Katie
Rain fell from the sky lightning flashed from the sky appearing on a roof with the crash of thunder appeared two figures on a rooftop one was a man wearing blue clothes with gold colored gloves boots and plating running down his shoulders and chest connecting to a helmet that covers his entire head
The other figure was a woman wearing a black outfit with red and white mesoamerican designs on the chest boots and gloves a red black mask covers the lower half of her face while a red cowl patterned like an bird covers the top of her head "this is it" the woman said looking at the building across the street
"Let's hope so" the man said with a clenched fist "we're going to need all the help that we can get"
The woman held up her hand a red ring on her left hand shone brightly holding it out she made a bridge of red hard light connecting the two buildings the two ran across the bridge to the other building once the bridge fading away behind them "you know Red you could have made something less conspicuous" he said walking over to a vent
"They knew I was here the moment I came in range of their bio scanners" she responded "they'll be here any moment Guardian"
The man Guardian nodded remaining silent he climbed into the ventilation shaft sliding down the woman red going down after him
Meanwhile far away driving through the zany to the max little town called Acmeville were Danny Fenton and his girlfriend Katie Kaboom on the way to her parents house for dinner
Danny soon arrived to the Kaboom residence pulling up at the house that Danny hasn't been to since that first blind date with Katie back when they were teenagers
"Wow this place brings me back" Katie said with a smile on her face looking at the house Danny smiled stepping out he opened the car for his lady
"Milady" Danny said suavely trying to sound like that French Superhero Dani was friends with Katie smiled taking his hand climbing out of her boyfriends car Danny looked around "wow this place looks exactly like it did fifteen years ago Katie shook her head
"My parents aren't the biggest on change" she said
Danny remembered her telling him that even though her folks are retired they still live in the same home the place looked the same as it was back when they were teenagers
At the time he had been scared stiff and ran as soon as he could but things are different now
He likes Katie now and is giving her a chance and he wanted to make a good impression with her parents
Or he did again he was pretty sure they liked him the first time
Danny had a bit of experience with meeting the girlfriends father now Kitty's and Wendy's were probably the scariest Danny had known Sam's father since he was five even if the man didn't always have the highest opinion of the guy
Especially after that one time they had cut school to go to Circus Gothica
Well Sam had Danny just ended up there after chasing Freakshow's hypnotized henchghosts
Was that even a word Danny wasn't sure the point was Danny and Mr. Manson were on much better terms"
"What are you thinking about" Katie asked elbowing him to get his attention
Danny looked to his girlfriend "I really want to make a good impression on your parents" Danny admitted "as the boyfriend I mean"
Sure they have spoken a few times since they often visit the school where their daughter works and Danny makes a lot of donations or helps with mutant support rallies
But it's not like they were close
Katie giggled "after everything you've done for me my parents are going to love you" Katie said kissing him on the cheek "just like I do"
Still just to be safe he brought a few things such as some daisies since Katie said those were her mom's favorite flowers and a nice bottle of wine for dinner just to make a good impression on them
On the bright side Danny knew it wouldn't be as bad as Phanty's dad
Danny didn't knew how she or her husband put up with that psychotic ghost
Danny did know that Phanty was really grateful when Danny gave them a ghost shield for their fifth anniversary last October cut down on the property damage at their house
Danny and Katie knocked on the door Danny still felt a little nervous after a few moments Katies mom came to the door her hair was shorter and there was a bit of grey mixed in with the brown but still she looked a lot like Katie
"Katie" her mom said hugging Katie "it's been too long"
Katie laughed "we saw each other two months ago at dad's retirement party mom" Katie said hugging her mother
"Exactly two whole months without as much as a visit from my only daughter" her mom said shaking her head letting go of Katie she looked to Danny "but you've had something else on your mind haven't you"
Danny stepped forward holding the bouquet out "hi Mrs. Kaboom" he said with a smile "thank you for having me"
Mrs. Kaboom took the bouquet with a smile "oh Danny thank you these are lovely" she said taking the bouquet with a smile on her face she hugged Danny careful not to crush the flowers holding him in a one arm hug
Danny hugged her back "wow I don't think Katie just has the gamma radiation to thank for her strength" Danny said when she let go Katies mom laughed before welcoming them inside Danny looked around this was the first time he had been to Katies childhood home the place had a warm welcoming atmosphere that made Danny feel like one of the family
Danny snuck a quick look to Katie giggling with her mom as they walked into the kitchen who knows with how things are going he just might be
"Danny" Katie called "come on"
Danny smiled "coming" he said following after his girlfriend and her mother
Guardian and Red ran through the hallways towards a large vault Guardian stepped forward his gauntlets began to glow he threw a punch hitting the vault making a dent in the metal Guardian did it again and again ripping a hole in the vault door
"You really enjoy doing that" Red said
Guardian grunted his gauntlets powering down "I just imagine that I'm punching him" Guardian said "makes me feel better"
Red nodded in understanding all it really took was thinking about him and everything he's done to fill her with enough rage to use the ring "let's get this over with" the two walked into the vault inside of the vault were sealed containers in the walls hundreds of them Red looked around letting out a frustrated sound "which vault is it in"
Guardian shook his head "then we're just going to search fast" he said Red nodded flying up she began ripping vault doors open searching inside of them finding nothing "Where is it where is it" Red said
"Red come here" Guardian called Red flew down to where Guardian was
"Did you get the device" The woman asked Guardian nodded holding it in his hand it was beautiful a metallic circle with a glowing blue circle in the middle under her mask Red smiled "it's amazing"
The man nodded
"Yeah it is" Guardian said "with this we can finally beat him" from a pocket on his belt Guardian pulled out a black hair placing inside the device it began to glow "it's working it's locking on to the DNA"
The woman let out a sigh of relief maybe things would finally turn around maybe things could be
"Are you sure that its gonna work" she asked worried
"It has to" Guardian said "I don't want my boy growing in a world where he's in charge"
Just then, the alarms went off
"Darn it" they were here
"We gotta go" Red said the two ran out of the vault as they did turrets came out of the walls and ceiling opening fire
Red flew in front of Guardian holding her arm out she created a giant glowing raven with it's wings outspread blocking the attacks Red's arm was shaking her eyes glowed red letting out a furious yell the raven screeched before exploding destroying the turrets
Red fell to her knees Guardian knelt down besides her picking her up "how much of a charge do you have left"

Red Raven and Guardian Security Breach level alpha
"Barely" she said
Guardian helped Red to her feet the two kept running turning a corner an armored guard came from the corner swinging an electric baton Guardian tackled the guard the baton hitting him in the back Guardian grabbed the guard tossing him down the hallway they came from
The two continued to run reaching a wall more guards chasing after them Red fired a couple of blasts behind her keeping the guards back Guardian punched a hole in the wall breaking through it falling to his knees
"Guardian" Red said concerned about to help him up but Guardian pushed her hand away standing on his two feet
Guardian looked to Red behind them he could hear footsteps handing Red the device "You go. I'll stay back and hold them off" Guardian said
"I won't leave you" Red said shaking her head "you promised Carla you'd make it back"
"The world and my son have a better chance with Red Raven then they do with Guardian" Guardian grabbed both her arms tossing her through the hole in the wall he made the footsteps were getting closer a blast hit Guardian in the back knocking him to the ground
"Guardian" Red shouted about to fly back for her friend when Guardian stood back up shaking his head
"There is no time Red just go" Guardian yelled before he ran into the building even from here Red could hear the sounds of explosions she could feel the shockwaves as Guardian let loose for the last time
Red was about to fly back in when a blast hit her if it wasn't for her rings protective field she would have been knocked out of the sky Red looked up to see two guards on hoverboards being led by a hooded man in red and black "Goblin" Red hissed angrily
"Hello again Red Raven" the Goblin greeted "how is your husband after his accident" he sneered a pumpkin bomb shot up from his glider into his hand priming the bomb he threw it at Red Raven
Red created a protective field
Red looked down at the device then to her ring she barely had a charge left if she stayed there then the mission would be a failure the Goblin would catch her and Guardian's sacrifice would have been in vain she couldn't let him down
'The mission comes first' Paulina thought using her ring she created a flash of red light using it to escape landing in alley she looked down at the device
"It won't be in vain old friend" she swore before pushing on the device the button in the center glowed blue opening a portal Red flew through it the portal closing behind her
Guardian flew back crashing into a wall his gauntlets destroyed above him the guard they sent stood above him "give it up Guardian" a deep voice bellowed before a Tetramand wearing a black trenchcoat and pants stepped out of the shadows a button with an hourglass on his belt "do you really think you can beat us"
Guardian laughed weakly "not trying to beat you" he said standing up pulling off his destroyed gauntlets beneath his helmet Guardian grinned "but someone else will Tennyson"
Ben X Tennyson growled "you don't get to say my name vigilante garbage"
Guardian laughed "I'd rather be vigilante garbage then a hero like you" Guardian sneered "not after what you did to your own best friend"
The Tetramand frowned "Kevin gave me no choice" he justified "it had to be done"
As far as Guardian was concerned the only garbage was the alien in front of him like the rest of the Justice Lords he used to be a hero someone people could look up to but then he came along taking out supervillains police politicians anyone who stood up to them disappeared pretty quick
He was the only one who didn't start out as scum no whoever he was never was a hero to begin with
The Tetramands eyes widened "the Chronosapian Compass that's what you punks were after" the Tetramand rushed forward punching wildly grabbing Guardian by the neck holding him in the air "where did you take it"
Guardian coughed "don't know I was never the best with math" he lied the Tetramand growled squeezing tighter
"Then what point is there in keeping you alive" he asked with a grin "after all the law is clear on what happens to vigilante scumwho defy the will of the Justice Lords"
"Do your worst Tennyson"
Tennyson smiled showing off the fangs in his mouth "oh I plan to" throwing Guardian to the ground the guards around him aimed at Guardian "do your worst men"
Danny was in the middle of having dinner with Katie and her family well most of his family Katies brother Tinker and his wife Mindy were out of town on vacation too bad for them because Katies mom practically made thanksgiving dinner for the young couple roast turkey mashed potatoes green beans in March
Ok yeah it was pretty much thanksgiving dinner "you didn't have to go through this much trouble for me Mrs. Kaboom" Danny said helping himself to a second helping of turkey
Mrs. Kaboom smiled at him "you can call me Margaret Danny" she said "and it was no problem you gave me an excuse to try out the recipes in my new cookbook"
"Not that I'm complaining" Mr. Kaboom said "and feel free to call me Johnathan Danny"
Danny was having a good time his worries about how her parents would react to him were erased Katies dad was happy to see him
'Johnathan' Danny corrected in his head while the man in question jokingly ask when he and Katies mother could expect grandchildren from the two of them making Danny nearly choke on his mashed potatoes "Daddy" Katie exclaimed with a blush "we've only been dating for a month"
"Uh yeah" Danny added "it's too soon to be thinking about kids"
Now that he had said it Danny was trying not to think of the idea of Danny and Katie having kids Danny remembered back at that carnival where he had a nightmare about him and Katie getting married having eight monster daughters Danny had told Katie about that nightmare back when he was dating Sam and she was dating Bobby
Katie had apologized for making Danny feel like he was trapped back then that hadn't been her intention
Now that Danny was dating Katie he was having dreams like that again dreams that ended with a white picket fence a beautiful wife and happy kids meeting him at the door when he came home from work every day
Danny snuck a look to Katie things had really changed he had changed she had changed they were in a different place no matter who Danny had been with no matter with no matter the heartbreak Katie had been there she had been a rock for him to lean on for years she was the reason he smiled whenever he went to the institute
'She really is my perfect match isn't she' Danny thought having fallen hopelessly in love with her
"So daddy how's retirement been" Katie asked changing the subject Johnathan sent a knowing smile to his wife before he turning back to Katie "well princess-
There was a bright flash interrupting Johnathan Danny and Katie were instantly on edge ready for anything when the flash died down standing on the table was a girl in a black and red outfit with white patterns on the shoulder and chest that looked like something Danny once saw in a Mayan temple with some kind of bird mask covering her face
"It worked" she said turning on the table stepping in the mashed potatoes "eeeyuck what am I standing in" she said picking up her foot she used the ring on her finger to blast away the mashed potatoes stunning everyone at the table "sorry about that" she said "I need to speak to Danny Fenton"
"A Red Lantern" they all thought shocked what was one of those people doing here
Danny quickly went on the defensive "I'm going ghost" Danny called transforming he leapt out of his seat tackling the Red Lantern phasing through the wall into the Kabooms backyard Danny pushed her into a tree
"Wait you don't understand" the Red Lantern said "I didn't come here for a fight"
"Yeah well you found one creep" Danny said firing a blast at the red lantern holding up her ring she made a construct that looked like a big red raven the raven spread it's wings blocking the blast "Danny please" the Red Lantern pleaded "just listen"
Katie looked apologetically to her parents "I'm really sorry I wasn't expecting a space criminal to show up" she said standing up
"You know" Katie turned to see Yakko Wakko and Dot sitting at the table eating her mothers cooking not that she was surprised her mom's really pulled out all the stops for Danny
"Didn't professor Baldy Mcbalderson teach you there were other ways to solve your problems then just fighting" Yakko asked
"I'm not sure the Professors teachings applies to the Red Lantern corps" Katie told the Cartoonus characterus meanwhile Wakko grabbed the pot of green beans eating them pot and all "it doesn't hurt to try" Dot said
"Yeah before your boyfriend wrecks your dad's landscaping" Wakko added with a belch
"I'll try" Katie said before running off into the backyard Danny was blasting at the Red Lantern who all she was doing was making a shield didn't these guys usually blast first ask questions later "Danny please you have to hear me out"
Katie quickly morphed and got in between the two
"STOP IT" She bellowed startling the two Katie looked to Danny
The Red Lantern stepped back in fear seeing Katie "who the heck are you"
Katie smiled "his girlfriend" she said "and that was my parents house you just warped into"
The Red Lantern looked apologetic at least Katie thought she did it was hard to tell someones facial expressions when they're wearing a mask "you said you wanted to talk so let's talk" Katie said with hardened eyes "right honey"
Danny nodded "ok Katie"
"Who are you" Danny asked landing "and how do you know my name"
"What you don't recognize the accent Danny" The red lantern quipped now that Katie thought about it there was something familiar about her voice but she couldn't remember where she heard it the Red Lantern whoever she was clearly knew Danny but had no idea who she was
The Red Lanterns mask and cowl turned into red hardlight before they began to fade away black hair fell down reaching her shoulders tan skin and blue eyes Danny and Katie both had wide eyes if it wasn't for the scar on her right cheek she'd be the spitting image of a certain nuisance
'Oh man this is more stuff from the multiverse isn't it' Katie thought in realization
"My name is Paulina Griffin" the other Paulina said calmly 'and I need your help to save my world Danny"
And that's the chapter some comedy some darker stuff and a twist probably none of you have seen coming
Paulina as a superhero and is married (not to Chris or Stewie this is not a family guy thing) how did that happen well you'll have to read the next chapter because next time Danny and Katie face off against a world with the one and only

I know some people wanted me to do Injustice or a Crime Syndicate but I feel like the Justice Lords fits better with the rules set by Flower Princess11 speaking of which thanks to FP for her help with this chapter
