Another day and another chapter this time Danny and Katie
Not much to say other then stay safe and let's get things started
Here we go
After Many Dates Danny and Katie
Danny walked into the Fenton works conference room with him were his girlfriend Katie and this was weird even for him Paulina as a Red Lantern
The weirdest thing about that was she wasn't using her powers to try and 'finally make the Ghost Boy hers'
Eww just eww and not going to happen sure Danny thought she was hot when he was a freshman in high school but she was only ever interested in him because of his powers
Weirdly this Paulina wasn't Danny looked at the red ring on her finger wondering how come she wasn't a raging lunatic like the last Red Lantern that he met
"This is nice" Paulina said "we don't have anything like this on my earth"
"After the Disasteroid and my identity got revealed my parents business tripled overnight they needed a bigger lab and more employees to keep up with the demand"
Paulina nodded looking wishful making Danny wonder what happened on her earth
Danny sat down he knew this was going to be a pain like the time he fought Mr. Hyde on another earth where he was dating Angelica Pickles
That was weird
Paulina sat down across from him in her civilian clothes
And if the scar wasn't proof enough this Paulina came from another earth then her clothes certainly did the Paulina he knew was always wearing designer labels that showed off her body all the jewelry her divorce settlements could afford and enough perfume to make Danny want to gag
This Paulina was wearing a worn out leather jacket over a black shirt khakis and boots the only jewelry she was wearing was the power ring on her finger not too long after they sat down did Sam Tucker Antonio and Dani come in
"Dude we got the alert" Tucker said "what's the emergency"
"I know" Sam hissed pulling out her ghost blaster she aimed it at Paulina "how the heck did you become a Red Lantern Sanchez"
Dani transformed while Tucker and Antonio drew weapons aimed at Paulina
Danny stood up "guys guys chill this isn't our Paulina" Danny ordered getting his friends and brother in law to stand down they didn't listen at first
"How about a show of faith" Paulina asked taking off her ring she put it on the table "that enough for you Manson"
"Pickles" Sam hissed out
Only after the ring hit the table did they put their weapons down taking their seats at the conference table Sam looked to Paulina "all right Sanchez what do you want" she said testily Paulina frowned "it's Griffin actually" she said looking around the table "well I shouldn't be surprised Danny called you two"
Paulina looked to Antonio and Dani "you two I honestly don't know"
"Sister" Dani said pointing to herself
"Brother in law" Antonio said Paulina nodded accepting the answer
Paulina sighed looking around the table at everyone
"It's best to get this part out of the way" Paulina said "but maybe with an exception of Katie the dark haired guy and maybe the girl"
Paulina looked down at the table "everyone at this table is dead"
Danny Tucker and Sam's eyes widened "oh man again" Tucker said
"Again" Katie asked
'Thanks Tuck' Danny thought not wanting to think about him but if he wanted a relationship with Katie
"Back in high school we ended up in the future where the world was destroyed by an evil version of me" Danny explained "we stopped what happened and changed the future"
Danny looked to Paulina was this another one of those situations "is your world like that" he asked Paulina shook her head
"No just taken over by a gang of monsters" Paulina said hatefully "the Justice Lords"
Sam raised an eyebrow "Justice Lords" she asked "that's a pretty pretentious name"
Paulina went on to explain how their actions fit the name how all of the Justice Lords were former heroes who went rogue and ended up taking the world taking out anyone and everyone who stood in their way ruling the world with an iron fist under the command of their leader
"Whose their leader Supergirl" Dani asked
Paulina shook her head "no she's been dead for five years" Paulina answered reaching towards her ring it glowed as a red hologram appeared of a man whose features were hidden by the cloak he wore a metal mask on his face that looked like a skull "he calls himself Judge"
Danny looked at the hologram of the man Judge "he started his reign of terror by taking out you Danny" Paulina frowned Danny didn't know what to say to that what did you say about someone who wiped out an alternate version of you
"If this Spector took out one version of Danny" Antonio asked "why try to get help from another"
"Because we're desperate" Paulina said "anyone whose tried to stand up to the Justice Lords gets taken off the street people are thrown in jail or worse for the smallest offenses" she said banging her fist against the table there was a small red flash and cracks spiderwebbing around her hand
Paulina looked down at the ring in her hand "I've lost friends family-" Paulina choked back a sob "my oldest friend sacrificed himself to give us a chance on this mission I can't let that be in vain"
Danny looked around the table at his friends his family he knew if any of them were in danger that he would do anything to protect them back when Vlad had infected Sam and Tucker with ectoacne he had did whatever he had to save them
Danny could see where Paulina came from
"Can you give us a minute" he asked Paulina the Red Lantern nodded standing up she walked out of the conference room
Once Paulina was gone Danny looked around to the others "so what are we going to do" Dani asked
"It's obvious" Danny said "we have to help"
The members of Team Phantom were silent they didnt know if they should believe Red Lantern Paulina or not
As always, Sam was the first to voice dissaproval
"Are you nuts" Sam said "she's a Red Lantern do you not remember what happened the last time they came to earth they're psychopathic lunatics"
Danny didn't need to be reminded of the Red Lantern Corps how they had came to Earth to try and get rid of the Green Lanterns from Earth Tucker frowned "I don't know Sam those Red Lanterns pretty much screamed all the time this Paulina didn't"
"And she took off her ring" Antonio chimed in "how many Lanterns willingly do that"
Sam didn't have an answer for that even the Green Lanterns in the Justice League always kept their rings on "ok fine she took her ring off but still it's a red ring for all we know on her earth she's the right hand of Atrocitus"
"Sam has a point bro this is some trap" Dani said
Danny, on the other hand, shook his head
"I dont think so Paulina actually seemed sincere when she spoke" He said
He saw the look in her eyes a haunted, bitter look that he has seen before
Danny had the same look in his eyes back when he used to have nightmares about his evil self
Danny looked to Sam
"Sam if things are as bad as that we have to do something" Danny said "we can't just do nothing"
"Danny this is PAULINA we are talking about" Sam pointed out "when has there ever been a version of hers that isn't obsessed with you who didn't try to make you extra crispy when she had the amulet of Aragon who tries to steal you every chance she can"
"Like Clockwork said" Danny said "there's many different twists and turns the parade may or may not take" Danny said repeating Clockworks words
"I don't know the life she's lead maybe she moved on after the me of that world you know-"
The others at the table looked quiet no one was really comfortable talking about that
Team Phantom continued to debate they didnt know if they should believe Red Lantern Paulina or not
"I don't trust her" Sam said Tucker looked like kind of he agreed with Sam "if these Justice Lords are real how do we know she's not one of them"
Tucker frowned "Sam might have a point dude she may not have a thing for you but she has a Red Lantern ring" the mayor of Amity Park crossed his arms "you know how those things work a power ring chooses it's wearer"
Danny on the other hand, shook his head "I know I acted on the defensive when I saw her too but Katie talked me down"
Katie stood up "ok I know I'm not a member of your team but I know the signs when someones lying and Paulina didn't lie once since we sat down"
Sam and Tucker looked unsure "Katie I'm sorry but I don't think we can trust Paulina" Tucker said
"I know you two have history I do too" Katie said "but we've all seen what the multiverse is like she's a different person then the gold digger who only wants my boyfriend because of his powers"
Sam didn't say anything but it was clear she agreed with Tucker Danny couldn't blame either of them Paulina had been at Sam's throat for years she had been a nightmare to Sam when they were dating even after they had broken up Paulina still treated Sam like an obstacle to her ghost boy
But Sam remembered her own adventure with Danny in the Multiverse where he was dating her cousin in-law and they met an evil version of her
Heartbreak
Katie had a point this wasn't the same Paulina that they've had to deal with since high school but Sam would still be on guard with anyone who wore a Red Lantern Corps ring
"Look I know our worlds Paulina is a pain" Danny said looking to his girlfriend "not that I'm complaining because of Paulina I got to be alone with my beautiful girlfriend"
Katie smiled "aww aren't you sweet" she said "but save the sweet talk for later"
Sam and Tucker looked to each other before nodding "look we know Danny's going to go" Dani said knowing her big brother about as well as anyone else in the room it was obvious he couldn't ignore a person in trouble "so whose going with and whose staying to keep in Amity Park"
Tucker raised his hand "I can't go" he said "the mayor of Amity Park just can't go to another world"
Danny nodded "we get it Tuck anyone else"
Dani chimed in next "I'll stay with Tuck no need for Val to come out of retirement for this" Danny looked to Sam and Antonio
Antonio was a former Power Ranger and he still had access to his powers he could be a great help
Sam had been there since with Danny since day one there was a time when he thought that she would be the future Mrs. Danny Fenton in their senior year
"I'm in Hermano" Antonio said
"I still don't trust Paulina" she said standing up "but if your going into a fight don't think for a moment that I'm not going to have your back"
Danny smiled "thanks guys"
Katie put a hand on his shoulder "I'm in too" she said
Danny opened his mouth to protest but Katie put a finger over his mouth shushing him looking determined
"Danny your going into a fight with people who've taken down at least you countless heroes and Supergirl" Katie listed "who knows what your going to face when you get to that other earth I'm going with you"
Danny wanted to protest he really wanted Katie to stay here where it was safe but that wouldn't be fair she was as much of a hero as he was she was an X-Man for a reason "ok" Danny said
"So just four people" Tucker asked "what if that's not enough"
Danny shook his head "I'm going to make some calls" Danny said pulling out his Fenton Phone
"To who" Dani asked Danny smiled
A team up like the Justice League or the Avengers" Spiderman asked "I mean I'm kinda sorta an Avenger but still"
Kara put a hand on his shoulder "breathe Spidey breathe"
Jenny looked skeptical "I've tried the team up thing it didn't end well" Manny nodded "same I almost ended up getting eaten by a dragon" Manny said before looking to Jake "no offense man"
Jake shrugged "we're cool dude"
Danny shook his head before he explained "nothing permanent because if people knew we were all together our enemies might do the same"
Danny imagined if some of his ghostly enemies teamed up with some of the supervillains spies and monsters he's met every thing he imagined wasn't pleasant based on the looks he got from others they didn't like the idea of an evil team up anymore than he did
"So what" Jake asked "we just come together for big stuff" Danny nodded "pretty much there's plenty of ways we can keep in contact"
"Some super friends of mine" was all Danny told his younger sister Danny reached into his pocket pulling out his cell
In Bellwood Fistrick was rolling down the street in his hot rod modified with stolen Alien tech the passenger seat loaded with bags of stolen money from the Bellwood bank Fistrick laughed "righteous bro" he cheered thinking he got a clean getaway
'Too bad' for Fistrick he didn't notice the green and black car following behind him in the car was a green eyed couple a woman with her hair up wearing a purple dress with gold bracelets on her arm in the drivers sear and a brown haired man in a white dress shirt and a green button up vest
It is Ben Tennyson or Ben 10 as he is known fighting alongside Kim Tennyson née Possible
Well she still used her maiden name for missions brand recognition for her website
Yes, the two are married for five years now in New York having been together since their junior year of high school
"Why is it your bad guys always attack on date night" Kim asked her husband keeping up with Fistrick
"It's not always my villains" Ben said remembering last week when Dr. Dementor had ambushed them at the park with their three year old son Kenny James Tennyson
Dementor regretted that decision pretty quickly
Ben rolled his sleeve up "you want to do the honors" he asked holding his arm out for Kim to access the omnitrix "you have better luck with it then I do"
Kim rolled her eyes "you gotta stop banging on it" she said activating the Omnitrix she flipped through the options before making a suggestion tapping the omnitrix a green flash filled the car as Ben transformed into XLR8
"XLR8 huh" Ben said looking at himself "thanks Blue Fox with my luck I would've gotten Walkatrout"
Kim giggled as Ben opened the door speeding out "your welcome Yellow Trout"
XLR8 sped after Fistrick running alongside his window "going somewhere Fistrick" he taunted "besides jail"
"Tennyson" Fistrick shouted pulling out an electrically charged brass knuckles trying to punch but he wasn't fast enough to catch the Kinecelaran XLR8 leapt onto the hood of Fistricks car "too slow" Ben said sticking his tongue out speeding forward he vaulted over the windshield kicking Fistrick into the backseat XLR8 tried to stop the car but he couldn't feel the brakes
Feeling around he didn't feel any pedals at all down there
How the heck did this stupid car even go more importantly how did it stop
XLR8 looked back to Fistrick "where are the brakes on this thing" he demanded Fistrick shrugged grabbing his money he jumped out
"Figure it out hero" he called out XLR8 groaned looking at the road
He needed to stop this thing before he hit something 'I really wish Kevin was here' Ben tapped the omnitrix "Rath" Ben called out
"Let me tell you something Omnitrix Rath was trying to get Upgrade or Juryrig to stop this crazy thing" Rath yelled "Rath is not a mechanic"
Rath had to do things the old fashioned way which was the only way Rath knew how do do
Rath punched through the dash board ripping out everything electrical inside Rath could get his big hands on ripping them out the car slowed to a stop inches from a parallel parked truck Rath let out a sigh of relief
Now Rath had to go chase down Fistrick getting out of the car that had no pedals Rath started to backtrack towards Fistrick and his stupid car too bad for Rath someone had already beaten him to it Fistrick was down on the ground out cold while Kim dusted off her hands Kim looked at Rath with a smile
"And you were trying to not get Rath Yellow Trout" Kim said smiling walking over to Rath
"Let me tell you something Kim Tennyson my beloved wife and the greatest woman in the world" Rath said "Rath needed to be Rath to stop Fistricks car because Rath couldn't find any foot pedals which can't be street legal"
Kim just laughed at her husbands rant she walked over to him tapping "you know as much as Rath is my favorite alien"
Kim tapped the Omnitrix changing her husband back to normal "I so prefer your face"
Ben laughed knowing exactly why Rath was his wife's favorite alien
An twenty four year old Ben and Kim were walking through the French Quarter the streets were thankfully empty of people or paparazzi Kim leaned against Ben's shoulder "so this is a nice surprise" Kim said "coming to meet me on my mission"
"What can I say" Ben said "I missed my girlfriend" Kim smiled against Ben's shoulder while Ben's hand moved towards the box he had in his pocket the two stopped on a street corner "uh Kim" Ben said nervously "there's something I'd like to ask you"
Kim raised an eyebrow curiously "oh what"
"Well uh I" Ben said for someone whose saved the universe a few times he was getting so tongue tied Kim was so beautiful even in her mission gear after stopping Monkey Fist from using some kind of voodoo monkey totem to get more power for himself
Ben looked at watch 'for once I really need him' Ben activated his omnitrix tapping down transforming into Rath
Thankfully Azmuth had fixed the glitch with Rath that made that form run around without pants
"Let me tell you something Kim Possible my girlfriend for years and years and years" Rath said "I love you with everything I have"
Rath got down on one knee opening the ring box showing the gold ring with a green emerald carved into an hourglass surrounded in a black opal setting looking like his omnitrix setting "now will you marry me" he asked
Kim looked between the ring and Rath she covered her mouth tears falling from her eyes "of course I will" she told Ben hugging him
Ben smiled kissing Kim wrapping his arms around his wife the two held onto each other while they waited for the cops to come when Fistrick got picked up and the stolen money was returned
As the married couple walked to their car Ben's phone rang pulling it out Ben checked the caller id seeing that it was Danny "Danny" Ben asked wondering what his ghost powered friend wanted
In New York everyone's favorite friendly neighborhood wall crawler swung through the concrete jungle heading towards an apartment in Queens opening a window on the twentieth floor climbing in taking off his mask Peter Parker ran a hand through his sweaty hair
"Did you remember to close the window behind you" his wife asked from their living room
"I got it" Peter said turning around he closed the window after a quick shower he joined his wife on the couch she was watching the news seeing him and Miles fighting off the New Vulture a guy named Blackie Drago who just robbed banks instead of being a arrogant guy who wanted to conquer the world
"You know with that helmet cutting off his peripheral vision you could have snuck behind him and cut removed his flight circuits" his wife said "it's what I would have done"
Peter laughed holding his wife close "I'll keep that in mind if he gets out again" Peter promised
Gwen Parker rested her head against Peters chest Peter moved his hand to stroke her pregnant belly "this little lady's going to get all her mom's brains isn't she"
"It's too soon to know if the babies gender" Gwen reminded Peter lifting her head to look up at him with those intelligent blue eyes that could out think any supervillain that tried to take on Ghost Spider "besides I say it's a boy" she told him confidently
Peter raised an eyebrow "how do you know"
"It's just a hypothesis" she said resting her head back against his chest "based on mothers intuition"
Peter knew better then to his wife when she had one of her theories since most of the time they turned out to be right 'makes since Max would make her vice principal' Peter thought consoling himself with working with Harry in the newly named OsPark corporation
It had taken them a while to figure out a name that sounded good
Peter and Gwen were content to just relax watch tv before bed
But Peters plan got interrupted by his phone ringing with the ringtone he used for Danny
Some acapella group who sang a song about him Peter picked up the phone "hey Danny what do you need"
Paulina Griffin waited patiently
For what felt like hours she knew she needed to get back to her own earth soon
She just hoped when she did she'd have reinforcements with her Paulina looked down at the Chronosapien compass according to the plans they'd stolen it was good for two more jumps before it needed to recharge
If she left to find help on another earth she took the risk of stranding someone on another world
Or getting caught herself putting the compass away Paulina ran a hand through her shoulder length hair 'it's so weird seeing Danny again' she thought the last time she could still remember what happened to the Danny on her earth
She remembered it like it was yesterday
Paulina watched excitedly down below her ghost boy was fighting some creep but she knew he would win
He'd always won the fights he'd been in sure he wasn't the same person he was before what happened to those losers Manson and Foley but he was still so perfect and dreamy
The most popular boy in town and the most popular girl
They were soulmates
Right now her soulmate threw a kick at the masked creeps head but he didn't even flinch when he caught it "is that the best you got" he asked throwing a punch of his own making Danny keel over kicking him in the stomach Danny was knocked to the edge of the room her ghost boy reached out grabbing the edge while the creep walked over to him
His hand filled with some kind of energy "your pathetic you call yourself a hero" he brought his hand up
Paulina's heart stopped 'no Ghost boy Danny this can't be happening'
Paulina couldn't bring herself to look at what happened next but she still remembered the scream then the silence
'Ghost boy no' Paulina thought
Paulina shook her head ten years later and she could still remember the screams she could still remember the reign of terror the Justice Lords had began all of them
But if there was one bright spot Paulina thought pulling out an old faded picture in the picture a bride and groom were holding each other close outside of a church in Mexico City
It was Paulina and perfect match her Henry on the happiest day of her life
He and his family were archaeologists he was always looking to learn more about the world and it's people at first he and Paulina couldn't stand each other he told her more then a few times that she needed a reality check
Paulina hated to admit it at the time but he was right she did need it at the time
Paulina was pulled out of her thoughts when the doors opened and out came Manson it was weird seeing her alive too her and Foley
'Wait her name is Pickles now she got married' she reminded herself in her head wondering what kind of last name was Pickles
It wasn't weird seeing her look at Paulina distrustfully Paulina understood without the Justice Lords without what happened to Danny she would have never left Amity Park her ego would have never gotten knocked down by her husband they would have never found the red temple fallen in love or anything else
The Paulina of this earth must have been a total pain "I don't trust you" Pickles said "I don't think I can ever trust you"
'Guess I never got a reality check in this world' Paulina thought wondering what she had done to Ma- Pickles over the years to get her to hate her so much "I don't need you to trust me just fight with me"
Pickles sighed "Danny's reinforcements have arrived we're ready to go whenever you are"
Paulina stood up activating her costume she had ten percent left not enough for a long fight but enough to get back to Headquarters and recharge
Paulina walked into the room having to remind herself that these people weren't her enemies
Miss. Impossible Ten Prime and the Goblin other then Danny's brother in law they were all Justice Lords
Apparently the multiverse has a real sense of irony Danny looked to Paulina "you ready to go" he asked
Paulina nodded pulling out the compass she created a portal "I was born ready" she said as everyone stepped into the portal
And this is the chapter next time Danny and his friends take on the Justice Lords
