Storm walked up to the entrance and knocked on the door, he waited for a few seconds, no answer. He tried again and waited some more, still no answer.
"Come on someone has to be here," Storm said.
Before he could knock again the door opened slightly, he looked down to see if anyone answered, but no one did. The door just opened by itself, he cautiously opened it and stepped inside. No one was home, it looked abandoned. Is this the right place?
"Hello, is anyone here? Hello! I'm not an intruder, me and my fur baby just need a place to stay; hello?!" He called.
No response since he and January were the only ones here they might as well explore. Storm looked around the lobby interested to know who else is staying here. He walked up to the check in desk and saw a small bell. He dinged it hoping it would get someone's attention, nothing, he dinged again, still nothing.
"Hello anyone back here? Where is everyone?" Storm said.
He glanced over to the bar and saw that it was empty; should he, well considering where he is, why not and he was kind of thirsty. He went over to the bar and peeked around, what to drink?
"Let's see, what to drink, what to drink, so many options so little time," He said.
He saw a can of 'Cherry Coke', to which he cracked open. He took one sip and it tasted warm and flat.
"Eww, good thing I have frosty hands," He said.
His fingers tapped the can and it instantly cooled down, he took another sip; this time it was nice and cold.
He gave a refreshing sigh, "Much better."
"What the fuck are you doing back here!?" A gruff voice sputtered.
Storm nearly dropped his soda in surprise, he turned to see Husk the hell cat. He obviously wasn't happy that Storm invaded his bar and took a drink without paying.
"Hi there, sorry to intrude but I was traveling a long way to get here, and I was thirsty, and I,"
Before Storm could say anything else, Husk stopped him in his tracks.
"Wait a minute, ain't you that snow kid from the news?" Husk asked.
Storm nodded nervously, "I am, do you want a picture or something?"
He shook his head, "Nah, I ain't no attention whore."
"Okay then, do you want this back?" Storm asked awkwardly handing back his soda.
"Keep it," Husk said.
"Thank you," Storm said sipping his drink.
"You know the princess and her girlfriend are out looking for you," Husk said.
"Why me?" Storm asked.
"She said something about if you joined it'd be good for the hotel to have another potential candidate to redeemed themselves and be a better person. Not that I believe in this redemption bullshit, it's fucking stupid," He said.
"By redemption do you happen to mean helping those who can't wake up from a dream and to get back to their regular life?" Storm asked.
Husk nearly dropped the glass he was cleaning, is he serious? Did Storm seriously denied the fact that he's dead and in Hell? Before Husk could answer, he was interrupted by Charlie and Vaggie coming through the door.
"He's nowhere in the city, where else could he be?" Charlie wondered.
"We'll look more after lunch," Vaggie said.
"Hey girls, he's right here," Husk said.
They glanced over to Storm who was awkwardly smiling and holding his 'Cherry Coke'. Charlie practically jumped for joy, their search for the famous snow demon is over.
"Hello welcome to the Happy Hotel!" Charlie smiled.
"Glad to be here," Storm said.
"It's very nice to meet you, I'm Charlie and this is Vaggie, and I see that you've already met Husk" Charlie introduced.
"Hey I'm Storm," He said.
"We're so glad you found us we've actually been looking for you," Charlie said.
"Yeah, Husk told me, why exactly?" Storm asked.
"Well since you've garnered some fame, we've figured that if someone famous stayed here, it'd give the hotel a positive approach, unlike a certain spider demon," Vaggie said.
Storm's heart skipped a beat, that's right he forgot Angel Dust was staying here; Boy did he hit the jack pot.
"A spider demon?" Storm asked.
Vaggie nodded, "Yeah, Angel Dust, he thinks he's the queen of the world and nothing can hurt him, but we know that's bullshit. After that stunt he pulled yesterday, he's lucky we're not kicking him out,"
"Come on Vaggie, we got one new guest-
Charlie was caught off guard by a loud thud, startled they turned to see January innocently with her head stuck in a small box.
Charlie giggled, "Okay make that two new guests,"
Storm chuckled, "Need some help sweetie?"
He bent down to pull his fur baby's head out of the too small box. Once her head was freed, she instantly ran and jumped into Charlie's arms. January rubbed her head against Charlie's and was purring like a motorboat while kneading on her chest; she returned the favor by cuddling and giggling like crazy.
Charlie's ovaries nearly exploded, "Awww, who's this little baby?"
"This is January," Storm smiled.
"Hi January, it's very nice to meet you too, aren't you precious," Charlie cooed.
"She's a cuddle bug, but watch out for your nips," Storm said.
Before Charlie could even ask what he meant by that she felt a pitch on her chest,
"Ow!" Charlie said.
She looked down and saw that January was nibbling on her right breast,
Storm quickly took her away, "I'm so sorry about that she's a baby and she's still nursing. I'm trying to put her on the bottle, that way she'll stop doing that,"
Charlie giggled while rubbing her breast, "It's okay, I wish I had milk to give her."
January then jumped into Vaggie's arms and started kneading on her chest, however she was quick to catch on.
Vaggie crossed her breasts, "Your cute, but don't even think about it."
January glanced over to Husk and gave him a sweet look hoping he'd have milk to offer. Husk cringed while he covered his chest.
"Don't look at me kid! I ain't lactating!" Husk said.
Storm took her back and gave her a stern look, "No-no girl we don't bite people we've just met, that's inappropriate."
January's ears tilted and gave a sad look that said, 'I'm sorry daddy,' Storm chuckled, he couldn't stay mad at that face.
"It's okay," Storm said kissing her head.
"Anyway, can we show you around, maybe we can see if we can find you and January a room?" Charlie asked.
"That sounds great, thank you," Storm said.
After a twenty-five-minute tour of the hotel, Charlie and Vaggie showed Storm to his room.
"Here's your room, I hope you like it," Charlie said.
The room was beyond nice, it had a large king-sized bed, a desk with a laptop and a printer and a large TV. It looked like something straight out of a luxury hotel magazine.
"Thanks Charlie, this is great," Storm said.
"If you need anything, we'll be downstairs," Vaggie said.
After they left, Storm explored his room while January jumped on the bed playfully. He opened the tv cabinet and saw that there was a small gaming system, with a few controllers and games to go with it. It looked to be a 'Playstation' or an 'Xbox'. There was even a tv box, he took the remote and turned it on, the tv displayed 'VoxTube,' '666 News,' 'VoxFlex,' 'Disney+,' 'Hulu,' 'HBO Max,' 'Amazon Prime'.
"Nice," He grinned.
He turned his attention away from the tv and walked towards the sliding glass door, he pulled back the long red curtain and opened the door. He stepped outside and saw that he had a small patio with a small brown table with two brown chairs with beige colored pillows. The view of the city was incredible, it gave him a sense of peace and relaxation. A smile formed on his lips he was expecting a cheap low down looking room. This however was so much better; this seriously beats sleeping on the streets.
Back downstairs Charlie was over the moon that there's new guests staying at the hotel, guess yesterdays appearance on the '666 News' wasn't a total loss after all.
"Vaggie can you believe that we have an actual guest?!" Charlie squealed.
"Honestly, I can't," Vaggie said.
"See I told you, things would get better," Charlie said.
"Hey princess, I'd be careful with this one," Husk said.
Charlie was confused, "What do you mean?"
"This delusional kid said he's dreaming, and he'll wake up soon, he said the hotel was meant to help those who can't wake up and get back to their real life. He must be suffering from brain damage or something," Husk said.
Charlie had heard about sinners thinking their dreaming, which is understandable at first, but later on they realize their dead.
"Well maybe we can try and talk to him, and explain what's going on," Charlie said.
"It can't be that bad," Vaggie said.
"Good luck with that, just wait until you hear what comes out of this kid's mouth," Husk laughed.
"Whatever he has to say, it's nothing we can't handle," Charlie said.
Little does the princess know she's about to get an interesting experience with an unforgettable guest, aside from Alastor of course, hopefully she'll know how to handle 'Buzz Lightyear' syndrome.
End of chapter 7, the hotel's got a new guest, but the question is will Storm be able to remember who he is and be redeemed?
