After Many Dates Danny and Katie
Beethovens 4th symphony played through the speakers as Judge adjusted the straps on his armor
"It's been a while since I've seen that suit" Kim commented Judge looked to see her leaning against the door frame clearly admiring the way he looked in his war suit
Designed by Peter black metallic plating on his lower arms and armored boots a umber red jacket that went down to just above his knees with a hood his mask firmly in place on his face
Kim stepped away from the doorframe eyeing him hungrily it was no surprise to Judge that she wanted to have more then a platonic relationship with him not that Judge would take her up on her offer
There was only one woman for him and no one could replace her
Not even the woman who could do the impossible
"Not since you fought Supergirl wasn't it" Kim said running her fingers up and down his chest
"Is there something you needed Kim" Judge asked stepping away from Kim
Kim pouted "I heard you let Ben take the fifteenth battalion to take out the vigilante scum" she said
Crossing her arms she glared at him "how come I didn't go instead of him"
Judge sighed of course he should have expected a reaction like this from Kim being disappointed not to be in on the action
"I need you here Kim" Judge dismissed "I need you here"
Kim raised an eyebrow "why"
"Because we took the woman Danny Phantom loves he'll bring the fight straight to us"
Realizing this Kim smiled "why didn't you say so"
Judge walked towards the door pushing a button on his wrist guard he shut off the music "I just did" he answered as he walked out
Katie groaned waking up restrained to a chair her head felt terrible Katie tried to break through the cuffs holding her hands to the chair but she couldn't
This should be easy
But she was weak
The Justice Lords must be suppressing her powers somehow
"Katie is that you" Antonio asked Katie looked to see her boyfriends brother in law was in the chair to her left restrained like she was
The morpher on his wrist was gone too and Katie wasn't sure power rangers didn't know how to pick locks
"I don't suppose you know how to pick locks" Antonio asked
"Fraid not" Kaite answered it wasn't like she ever needed to know how to
The few times she's ever been captured she was able to break free with her powers
"Any idea how we got here" Katie asked looking around they looked like they were in some kind of dining room "or where we are"
Antonio shook his head "nah I just remember fighting Miss. Impossible with Kim man that chica can hit hard"
"Yes she can" a new voice said
Katie turned to seeing the face of Judge his red eyes glowing from underneath his hood as he walked into the room two soldiers walked in after him bringing plates of food the plates were placed down in front of Katie and Antonio
"Please help yourself" Judge said taking a seat at the other end of the table "we maybe enemies but that does not me we can ignore hospitality"
Did this psycho really think they were going to eat this guys food it was probably poisoned or something
"I assure you Miss. Kaboom I have no interest in poisoning you" Judge told her Katies eyes widened
'How does he know my name' Katie thought horrified
Judge pushed a button a hologram of Katie appeared
A different Katie her hair was longer and wavier she was behind the wheel of a minivan and there were kids in the back seat "yes Mrs. Katie Drake Nee Kaboom ordinary housewife you seem quite happy" Judge gestured to Katie "unlike now"
Katie didn't say anything "you don't have to say anything Miss. Kaboom I can see the look on your face you feel like there's something missing from your life something you've been denied"
Katie frowned not liking Judge's words
"She's a hero far more then you ever could hope to be" Antonio said in Katie's defense "what have you done"
Judge turned his head toward Antonio "I've brought peace and prosperity to the world"
"By being a conqueror" Katie demanded
"By saving the world by ending the threat instead of showing mercy to the monsters and scum that aren't worthy of it" Judge said starting to get angry he banged his fist on the ground "so that the next generation doesn't have to live in a world of corruption where they could lose the ones they love in a flash"
Katie kept a straight face while her mind worked she had seen a lot of mutant kids come through the institute and some were more open about what their lives were like some you had to read through their facial expressions the tones in their voices
During their fight in the warehouse Judge had been composed and focused
But that was just a mask for him possibly Katie was beginning to figure that there was more to him underneath the surface there was anger a lot of anger something Katie was very familiar with
Anger and grief
Katie remembered Judge's words just now lose the ones they love in a flash
Judging by his tone that was from personal experience
Judge looked around letting out a sigh "I apologize for losing my temper" Judge stood up
"What you're doing it won't bring the ones you love back" Katie told him as he began to walk away
Judge stopped "I know"
He looked to the others "please enjoy your meals" Judge walked away from the table "it may just be your last"
Judge left through the door leaving the two in silence
"We need to set up a perimeter three blocks around Casper High" Danny said pointing at a map around the table were Henry Paulina Kurt Kim Peter and Sam the few medical professionals they had were occupied with prepping for Carla to go into labor "Carla can't be moved but everyone else can"
Paulina frowned "we can fight but we don't have enough people to hold back the numbers they'll throw at us"
"Yes you do"
Danny looked to see a dozen men and women most of them were humans but Danny could also see a few aliens he recognized as forms Ben had in in the omnitrix or visiting Undertown lady vampire wearing an aviators jacket the werewolf from before
"And you guys are" Danny asked not recognizing any of these guys wondering if they were heroes out of costumes
An African American man stepped forward "we don't have powers or worn masks Mr. Phantom we're just people who stood against the Justice Lord's regime" he explained "and we're here to help"
Danny didn't know what to say so he looked to Paulina "your earth your people your call Paulina"
Paulina looked to Henry holding out his hand "we never forced anyone to fight my love" Henry said "we can't make them stay if they want to fight"
Paulina nodded looking to the volunteers "are you sure"
Every man and woman nodded "we are"
"Then get ready for a fight" Paulina ordered "because fights on its way"
Negative 10 stood at the front of a transport the last of the civilians were being loaded up now
Just because the vigilante scum needed to be dealt with doesn't mean that the innocent had to suffer for
"Sir" Captain Rook Blanko said approaching him "the drones detected enemy motion we suspect it's the vigilantes"
Negative 10 nodded getting ready for the fight "ready the men Rook"
Rook nodded running off orders were being shouted and soldiers readied their weapons drones floated into position activating their weapons systems as fog began to roll in Ben dialed in an alien transforming into Diamondhead
"With righteous rage and crimson red I will topple the altars of evil and dread" Negative 10 and the others heard coming from the fog
He knew what that was
It was the oath the vigilante scum Red Raven used to charge her ring
That could only mean one thing
She had to be nearby
And she was coming at full power
"Steady" Ben ordered the soldiers
"A sentry standing through Blackest Night
I will use the ring and it's might
To defeat all foes within my sight"
Red Raven stepped out of the fog holding her ring up to a red lantern coming out of the fog were two of the heroes that had come from that other world Spiderman and Kim 'Tennyson' others stepped out of the fog behind her followed by others who Negative 10 didn't know
But if they were here fighting with the vigilantes then they were equally as guilty
"With crimson light"
"Red Raven takes flight" Red Ravens eyes and suit glowed with new power she placed her battery on her hip
"You're either really brave or really stupid to come here Raven" Negative 10 said with a sneer
Red Raven held her hand out to the side a glowing red spear formed in her hand "one way or another Tennyson this ends tonight"
For once Negative 10 had to agree with a vigilante
It would end tonight
"Open fire" Negative 10 gave the command
And this is the chapter
