Chapter 30: Back to Normal

Artemis awoke the next morning to the sensation of being in an unfamiliar bed in a foreign room. As she sat up, she remembered all that had happened the previous day. She smiled to herself as she remembered telling Robin off as she snuck out of The Cave with her shrunken boyfriend and went to the redhead's house. She turned to the nightstand on her right and smiled lovingly down at the tiny speedster that had run away with her heart. She sighed happily as she stood and started to stretch. She bent over to touch her toes.

"Now, that's a sight I could get used to waking up to," Wally cat-called from the nightstand as he stared up at her large and toned behind and long, slim legs.

Artemis sent back a playful glare and decided to tease the tiny teen as she continued to stretch—performing a few yoga poses to show off her body's flexibility and fitness.

"You still aren't gonna have this, just yet," she winked at him flirtatiously. Bending down then rising back up, the fluid motion putting her mountainous breasts in front of his face.

He blushed and reached out to touch the low collar of her V-neck top, only for it to pull away at the last second as she changed into a different pose.

"Too slow there, Kid Perv," she teased, as she grabbed one foot and stretched it up; it almost went behind her head!

"Well… You do make it hard not to stare," he smirks, cockily.

The olive skin of Artemis's face seemed to glow as a subtle blush spread across it. She set her leg down as she giggled cheerily. She set her hand next to Wally and he climbed onto it without being prompted. She noticed how little he weighed while he stood then sat in the palm of her hand. It felt more like she was holding a hamster instead of a person.

"You're just so cute sitting in my hand like that," she found herself telling him.

She blushed even heavier-fearing that her filter might be gone. But, not really. For, her mind reasoned that if he was able to hold her heart at such a small size, then he should have near complete control of it at full-size. And, that is what scared her.

Wally still smiled up at her. Even after seeing the subtle twitch in her features that symbolized her internal fears and insecurities. He simply smirked and remarked, "And you are a literal goddess from down here."

He smiled brighter as she giggled again.

"Are you trying to get your face sucked off?" she teased as she strutted towards the door.

"If it's you that does it," he smiled up at her, "I will not mind it."

She smirked cockily as she brought him up to her face, "Hmm… maybe then, I might tell them not to change you back. You'd be stuck as my pet."

"As long as I get to stay with you," he replied, slight uncertainty in his voice.

Artemis did not have time to question it. Roy burst in through the door and informed them that breakfast was ready. In response, the towering blonde steadied her hold on the tiny speedster and followed Roy down stairs to the small kitchen table.

Artemis's eyes widened as she saw the large stacks of pancakes in the center. Not one stack, but many. Reasoned that this was for the large amount of guests that were seated and overcrowding the kitchen. Still, it was more food than she'd see in a week at her mother's place. She couldn't help but release a silent gasp. Wally must have been the only one to hear her, for he comfortingly rubbed the inside rim of her thumb while everyone else paid her no mind.
