"Sora, what would you do if.. I lost my heart? Or, I guess, if my heart floated out of my body into the great unknown." Pit stares longingly at Sora. "What would you do?"
Sora was.. silent. That was to be expected from scary questions like these. Admittedly, Sora didn't know that he would ask this sort of question in the first place so he was a bit off guard.
Nonetheless, he answers. "I would go look for you!" He presses his hand against Pit's chest. A soft glow emits from Pit's tank top. "I know you'd be scared.. and worried.. you'd probably be sleeping if that were to happen to you."
"Sleeping?" Pit tilts his head. Not all that bothered that Pit's heart was glowing.
"Yep! That probably would happen among the many possibilities of what could happen to you." Sora brushes his thumb against his chest. "My friend, Ventus. He was asleep for a long time, he said that he felt like he was on so many adventures because his heart was inside mine and we shared our memories."
Pit chewed the inside of his cheek, thinking. Right. Hearts are a gateway to memories. It would make sense that if Ventus's heart was sleeping inside Sora's, they'd share memories.
"Sora.. if I ever 'fell asleep', can I be in your heart? Or-" Pit laughs. "Or is that too much?"
The keyblade wielder simply smiles. "I wouldn't mind. If it makes you feel safe. Then, I will use the power of waking to get you out! Easy as pie!"
Pit's wings perked up. "Pie?"
Sora laughs and removes his hand from Pit's chest. "I love you so much, Pit."
The angel blushes, a bit embarrassed to hear the word pie since he was so hungry. He laughs as well, "I love you too, Sora." Then, he scoots closer to Sora and wraps his arms around his neck. Sora returns the hug by holding on to Pit's waist.
"I don't think I have to be in your heart to feel safe. I feel safer in your arms."
