Me: Man, I can't believe how popular my story is. It's got the most favorites and followings then all my other stories combined. Thank my imagination people. I don't know how I made this crossover work, but I got it. I'm going to be focusing on this story until it's done so get comfy. Read and Review and I don't own anything except OC's.

I also want to apologize a head of time if this chapter isn't up to everyones standards. I really just wanted to get this chapter out and tried not to rush it as best I could.

XXXXX SUMMER POV XXXXX

It was hard leaving Patch. I never left the island in the seventeen years I've been alive; I never wanted too. It's the best place on Remnant. Zamos, my parents, my friends and more. The days I spent either at the beach or the river close to my house where mother and father and I would play for hours when I was younger were some of the best. All those amazing animals that lived there, the hills where I went hiking almost every week and the trees I climbed so much...

I'm going to miss it all. The people especially.

Lucas and his parents who babysat me when both my parents went on missions, Mr. Buhari and Mr. Za'til who snuck me sweets when father wasn't looking, Bavoc and his delicious cooking and my teachers who taught me almost everything I know now.

But my parents... I'm going to miss them most of all.

Mother, the woman who brought me into this world and taught me how to hunt and live and enjoy life to its fullest.

And Father, who suffered so much in his life and finally found his peace.

The last two years with him was a experience I'll never forget. Even after all this time, I'm probably never going to get used to the fact that I'm a god- er, half god. Demi-god, that's the name father says what we are. He told me of how the Titans and the Olympians came into being and it was... It was just awful.

Ouranos imprisoning his first children because they were 'horrifying' and then his and Gaia's other children fighting back and Cronos actually castrating his own father. The cycle of betrayal and murder just kept repeating itself with the mad Titan eating his own children because of some stupid prophecy and then being forced to carry an entire mountain castle on his back forever by the decree of his own son, my grandfather, Zeus.

The 'Great' King of the Gods who jailed the other Titans with horrific punishments, even the ones who helped him during the Titanomakia, even his grandmother and mother, Gaia and Rhea. All except one, Helios, but only because he controlled the sun. I can't even imagine how anyone could be that cruel to their own family.

It gets worse. He forced his own sister to marry him and cheated on her repeatedly, having dozens of kids. Too many uncles and aunts to count. Poor woman. I felt bad for her, but after Father explained that she became a drunken hag that took her anger out on her husbands kids, ruining so many lives because of one man, I tried to stop caring. Despite this, it was Zeus who pushed her into it.

The others weren't put into a good light either. Poseidon forced himself on women, Hades played around with the souls of the dead like they were toys, Artemis wanted to build a woman only utopia were men were to be used like breeding slaves, Hermes was a narcissistic bastard and Ares was the one who forced my father to kill so many innocent people; my fathers family especially.

My fathers first wife and daughter, Lysandra and Calliope... I wish I could have met them. I don't ever want to think about how if they hadn't have died, mother and I wouldn't be here. That is a selfish thing to think of and my parents raised me better then that.

But the one I hate the most is the one that destroyed my fathers life and orchestrated the entire events from the beginning: Athena.

The so called goddess of 'wisdom' had been planning since even before my fathers birth to rule over everything and everyone. She had my uncle Deimos taken away and tortured, had my grandmother imprisoned and left to die and 'helped' my father kill Zeus and open Pandora's box so she could have all the power.

My parents wouldn't approve of this, but... I hate them. I hate them all so much! I want them TO SUFFER!

I shake those thoughts away, controlling my breathing as my red aura turned back to white and then went away. I need to stay calm. I control the Rage of Sparta, not it. It is a weapon, a tool, nothing more...

… Sparta...

I sigh as I gazed at the sea from the airship I was on, heading to Beacon. The waves below kept me so calm despite all the grimm and monsters that live in it.

I wanted to know everything there was to Hellas. Father explained it to me to the best of his ability. It was much different then Remnant, that's for sure. The world had no advanced technology that the Olympians didn't provide because they wanted people to worship them forever, getting rid of anyone that tried to change their version of a perfect society. The kingdoms were divided into cities-states that were almost always in a constant state of war, even more so then Remnant is now. Slavery was common over there. My father wasn't against it, because it was the way of his society, but he didn't approve of it either.

And the way my fathers people had to prepare for war was... disheartening. They only trained to keep the Helots in line. They left babies to die if they were sick or disfigured and took the boys away when they were seven and trained them to death so they could protect their city from a potential slave revolt. My fathers first kill was a Helot. I could see it in his eyes that he wasn't proud of it.

He always told me that if we were in Sparta I would have passed the trials and became a proud member of the city. Sparta was the only Hellenic city that women were treated as equals to men. They were the ones who kept Sparta running while the men were fighting. They were the last defenders if the men failed. He said both kings of Sparta would have fought to the death to have me as their wife and any children I bore would have been strong.

With all of this, I'm neutral. On one hand, I'm proud of what the Hellenics and Spartans were able to accomplish. On the other hand, I'm also ashamed of how they lived. When I said this to father, he told me again to simply close myself off to others. Hellas was gone forever and I shouldn't concern myself with a culture I'll never know about and a people I'll never meet.

Even if there was a way to return, father doesn't ever want to go back, let alone take me there, even to visit. I understand why, so I don't ever ask him again. No sense in bringing up bad memories.

Thankfully, I didn't have time to think anymore because...

[Attention, everyone.] The voice from the speakers said. [We have now arrived to Beacon Academy. Please gather all belongings and prepare to disembark.]

I know I keep saying I'm ready, but honestly, I'm very scared right now. I think back to Fathers words before I left...

'It is alright to feel fear, daughter. I don't show it, but I am afraid most of the time as well. I fear I would lose you and your mother everyday, but... Fear is also a tool just like anger. That fear is the reason why I am strong. Because it gives me the strength to always fight and protect you both.'

I take it to heart. I sheath my knife to my side, tighten the strap on Guardian and place Talon on my back before hefting my bag on my shoulder. I take a deep breath, exhale, and walk out with determination.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I gaze around me as the other students disembarked alongside. Beacon was like huge castle with a main avenue in the front, an amphitheater close by and behind it were cliffs with a naval docking bay at the bottom. In the center of the courtyard was a statue of two Hunters standing on a rock outcropping. One held a sword while the other held an axe. Below the rock was a Beowulf and behind them was a jagras. What really drew my attention was the immense tower where I could see gears moving.

Father would have seen this place as an eyesore.

I continue on as I see the other students simply mingle about before assembly. Men and women of all types. Human, Faunus, Lynian and even a Y'dala here and there. Unfortunately, I see heated glares from a lot of people directed at others. Mainly Faunus. I just don't get it. Why are they hated so much? They're not accepted by Humans or Lynians despite their appearances. The only ones who give them respect are mainly the Y'dala, so intermarriage was common among them and nobody wants to bother a Y'dala no matter who their parents are.

I simply ignore this. It isn't my concern.

I continue ahead to the amphitheater where the other students shown themselves a few minutes later. We all stood at attention as the headmaster of the Academy, Professor Ozpin, walked up to the front stage. I've only seen him a few times in my life and the last time was three years ago. He still had his white hair, green scarf and that cane of his. I could never understand my fathers issues with Ozpin. He's such a nice and caring man.

But I remember what mother said about him: 'Ozpin is a... difficult man to understand until you've spent time with him. But until he tells you who he is and what he's done, be careful how you trust him. There are times where his strategy and ways have gone wrong. Sometimes horribly...'

That started up warning bells that have been going off since my time on the airship. If both my parents were concerned about one man, I need to be careful.

The professor stood in front of a microphone and said, "I'm sure you are all expecting a big long speech about how you all will be the heroes of the world. How you will end our grimm and monster threat forever. Well, prepare to be sorely disappointed." He pause to let it all sink in. Blunt and straight to the point, just like mother said. "I look around and I don't see heroes, I see children who need a good tanning. I saw you all and how you looked at each other and already I'm disappointed. You all better leave your ignorant thoughts you learned from your bigoted parents and teachers behind because I will not allow racism in these walls. Any who disrespect someone because of who they are and what their people have done better be prepared for the punishment of a lifetime. Keep it up, and you will be expelled without a moments hesitation."

A man who moves on from the past and thinks about the future. I can respect that. I still remember the teacher my parents threw out of Signal because of his intolerance towards the Faunus students. Glad I'll never see him again.

"You are not here to be heroes, you are here to be Hunters. As Huntsman and Huntresses, our duty is simple: Killing monsters. This doesn't just include grimm, undead and dragons, but also people. People who still attack the weakest of us for their own personnel gain. Bandits, murderers, pirates, mercenaries and even fallen Hunters who have lost their way. There will come a time in the future where you will have no choice but to take a life. We are here to prepare you for that day."

… That's right. I'll have to kill someone sooner or later. I hope it's not too soon.

"You will gather in the ballroom tonight and tomorrow, your initiation begins. Try to get a good nights sleep. And with that, I say good luck to you all. And get ready for the trials ahead, because I assure you, no teacher here will take it easy on any of you. Don't disappoint me or your families, but most of all, don't disappoint yourselves."

I won't. I've come to far to quit now.

Before I left, someone caught my attention.

"Excuse me. Miss Summer Rose?"

I turn to see a blonde woman a few years older then me wearing a professor uniform. Must be a new one. She was quite good looking. Cute glasses, a skirt that showed off enough of her legs and in her hand was a riding crop. Must be her weapon of choice. What she did with it off the battlefield, I wouldn't mind to learn.

"Yes?"

She bowed. "My name is Glynda Goodwitch and professor Ozpin has asked for you to speak with him in his office. Please follow me."

I did and after a short elevator ride, we were at his office at the top of the tower. When the door opened, I saw the massive gears operating the clock outside. I wince at the sounds they were making. They were well oiled, I'm sure, but the metal against metal was aggravating. How can someone stand this noise?

Speak of which...

"Ah, miss Rose. Welcome."

There he was, sitting behind his desk, his mug in his hand, just like father said. I took a sniff and smelled the chocolate wafting in the air. "You called for me?"

Ozpin smiled. "Indeed. I've waited for this day for a long time. Seeing the daughter of my oldest friend grown up to be a beautiful, strong and proud woman. Your fathers Spartan genes are really proving themselves."

That caught me off guard. I saw the woman not reacting in the slightest. "So, you know of my fathers origins."

"Since the beginning."

I turn to Glynda. "And this doesn't surprise you?"

She sighs. "We live in a world filled with monsters and magic. At this point, nothing should surprise anyone anymore."

"But I'm part god."

Ozpin kept smiling. "Ah, so Kratos finally told you?"

"Two years ago when I broke an azuros' neck."

Now Glynda looked surprised, but Ozpin continued to smile like it was an everyday occurrence. I'm almost starting see why father hates it. "Faye told me about that. Most impressive for a teen. So, now you know everything. Zeus, the Titans, your fathers suffering."

"I hate them all." I growled out.

"I do as well. Gods truly are selfish beings."

"Does that include the Brothers?"

Now Ozpin frowned, his good mood leaving him. "More then you know." He cleared his throat. "Now to the point of this meeting. I brought you up here incase there comes a problem."

I scowl. "Sir, I've trained for a long time to control my rage. I won't lose it easily."

"Good. I trust you to keep your word, miss Rose, but please warn everyone just incase it does happen. Lessen the damage as best you can. I also want to make sure you are protected."

"I don't need protection."

"But you do." He saw my confusion and continued. "With the blood of gods running through your veins, you'll be a prime target for grimm. Though they fear magic, the chance to end a great and powerful enemy will be too much of an opportunity to pass up. Same with monsters. Creatures out there who devour magic will see you as a delicacy. I promised your parents nothing will happen to you here."

"I don't need to be coddled!" I snapped.

Ozpin raised a hand. "I won't do that. You will be treated the same as any other student here, but losing anyone will be a great travesty. Training a Hunter isn't easy and takes years for one to become a master. We can't afford to lose that many students, especially one of your caliber. Dark times are coming, miss Rose. Remnants changing and I'm afraid the people won't be ready for it."

I simply stood there in thought. It is true. The White Fang is a peaceful Faunus movement, but how long will that last? The Lynians and Atlesians still hate each other even though the wars been over for decades now and the grimm and monster attacks have been getting worse. "I understand, sir."

Ozpin looked relieved. "Good. Now, get to the ballroom and sleep. You have a big day tomorrow."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

After changing into my sleep wear and placing my stuff in a locker, I found a cozy spot next to one of the windows and set the sleeping bag I was given down on it. I sigh in exhaustion. This day has taken a toll on me. I look around and saw both men and women throughout the room. Back in Sparta, the boys lived in groups called agélai and were expected to have relationships either with each other to build up trust and strength. This wasn't Sparta and if father saw this, he'd chase everyone out with mothers axe.

The thought left me nostalgic and sad. Only one day and I want to go home. When I get like this, I would play my lyre. When I was growing up, my parents had trained me in education and athletics to prepare me both mind and body. It was mainly to train me as a future Hunter, father also thought it would improve myself much like his people. Apparently Spartan women had to excel in both these aspects because if they were strong, then their children will be strong. I'm not in the mood now to have kids until I'm older, but I'll admit it did help me.

One thing I was great at more besides my combat training was music. I was grateful for mother teaching me and the instrument I play- a lyre- was a gift from father. Out of all the instruments I heard, the beautiful sounds the strings from harps being played always soothed me.

I play the lyre almost every night for a good nights sleep and father and mother would gladly sit there, listening to the music that took me years to master. I would play it now, but there was no way I was going to play my treasured instrument in front of a bunch of strangers.

I was about to sleep when something catches my eye. Rather, two people. They were on the other side of the ballroom, but I see what they look like. Both were most likely twins from the looks. Both had black hair and red eyes. One was a man the other was a woman and... I don't know, there was something about them I don't like. The woman especially. She was beautiful, not doubt about it, but something in her eyes gave me an uneasy feeling. Like she wasn't here to be a Hunter but...

I shake my head and look away as soon as she turned towards me. I could feel her gaze on me, so I simply laid back, closed my eyes and slept.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I woke up the next morning along with everyone else and prepared.

After a quick breakfast, I went to my locker and grabbed my things.

First came on my armor. It was hand crafted just for me, made from lightweight materials that not only defends me against grimm claws and monster teeth, but magic as well. I made sure to keep it dull so it wouldn't reflect any light. I then placed my treasured white cloak over it then went for my weapons. I strapped my knife in my boot so I can reach it easily. I wrapped Guardian on my wrist and grabbed Talon. I unsheathed it- by which it grew into its combat form- and checked it. (1)

I don't know of its full origins, but Talon once belonged to my mother and- along with Leviathan- was made by two- in her words- 'Proud, but unfortunate brothers who blame themselves for an atrocity they had no hand in'. Whoever these two brothers are, they're clearly master smiths. Talon was both beautiful and deadly. It was gold and red in color with serpent heads for the limb tips. I feel the string between my finger tips and pull back. Still strong as always. (2)

"Jeez, a little overkill, don't you think?"

I was pulled from my thoughts. I turned to see a man around my age standing near by with a goofy grin on his face. He had the looks of a Mistralian, but the gold hair of a Valean. He's wearing a leather vest and cargo pants and the only armor he had was a metal spaulder, leather vambrace and fingerless glove on his right arm and some kind of metal backpack. Was he looking for an easy death?

"You can never have too many weapons," I simply responded before going back to Talon, hoping this man would get the message and leave. Unfortunately, he didn't.

He shrugged. "I mean, sure, weapons are great, I got some too, but I'm keeping them hidden for a grand showing." He lifts his right fist up. "Even still, thanks to my semblance, I can smash rock like glass. Gotta yang it up!"

I stood there, blinking slowly. "...Yang it up?"

He flashed his white teeth. "Taiyang Xiao Long, at your service, madam."

I grunt. "Summer Rose." Once again, he didn't get the message and just kept talking.

"So where are you from? I'm from Vytal, so naturally, I got this big responsibility I gotta uphold." He scoffed. "Least that's what my jackass of a trainer said."

Ah, that explains it. Vytal was where the Kingdoms came together to make peace after the war, so that large island was home to people from all the kingdoms that colonized it which lead to interbreeding between everyone. That explains both the mixed looks and his 'responsibility' as he called it. Some Vytalians actually believe they have an obligation to fight for all the Kingdoms because peace was settled on their soil.

Not exactly something worth fighting since the peace accords didn't stop the hate.

"I'm from Patch." I answer his question. The sooner I answer his questions, the sooner he'll leave.

"Cool. Never really heard of it- no offense. There an academy there?"

"Signal." I finished checking all my equipment. I then turn to him. "Look, as interesting as this conversation is, we gotta go or we'll be late." I really mean me, but another of fathers lessons is not to make enemies if you can.

"Ah crap!" He cursed before rushing out of the locker room.

I roll my eyes before activating my semblance and flew out as white rose petals.

Time to fight.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

I arrive just in time to see the other trainees at the ready on launchpads, pointing over a cliff to a vast forest below. To the side was Ozpin and Glynda. I made my way the last launchpad left and- to my complete dismay- Taiyang was there, motioning with his hands at the spot next to him. I exhaled deeply and begrudgingly made my way over. He continued to wear that same annoying smile the whole time I was next to him. To my further dismay, I was also right next to the black-haired woman from the night before.

We never met before, we don't know each others names, and I just do not trust her. There's something in those red eyes of hers that disturbs me. She keeps looking around... studying people.

I don't like it.

"Warriors!" Ozpin shouted. "Today your abilities will be evaluated in the emerald forest. You will be launched and attempt to find your way out and locate important relics in the northern end of the forest to complete this course. Obviously, you won't do it by yourselves. You will all have teammates today!"

I mentally sigh. Great. I understand the necessity, life can't always give you what you want, and this is a perfect example. When father was training in the agoge, his group was random as well, but they started at a younger age and grew up together. They learned to trust and fight with each other for years. We don't have that time.

"I know what you're all thinking, so you better erase it immediately. You are not going to choose your teammates. We'll let fate decide that. So the first person you make eye contact with, will be your partner for the entire time of your lovely stay here at beacon."

… It sounded so blasé the way he said it.

He looks around and see several people nervous. "You all want to live? I suggest you listen to the next speaker."

We were all caught off guard by an ear splitting roar. We looked up and several cried out in fear at the sight of a monster overhead. I see it's yellow scales and blue stripes, its large hard adorned with large teeth, a thick tail and it had four limbs. It was a wyvern, a tigrex to be specific. A common monster seen all over the world, from the forests of southern Anima to the frozen mountains of Atlas, tigrex's are one of the most aggressive species of monsters out there. Though they don't have elemental powers like some other monsters, tigrex's can roar so loud it can leave a megoliath stunned.

It flew in circles for a minute until it landed right in front of us. We get our weapons ready, only to stop. On its back was a saddle and on the saddle were two people. One was a male lizard Faunus in his early 30's. Dark grey scales decorated his skin, his black hair was done up in a ponytail and his eyes were slit and yellow. When he smiled, he revealed his pointed serrated teeth. He was dressed in Bone Beta armor, the black skull helmet tucked under his right arm, and his 3-foot long tail was decorated with bands covered in 3-inch blades.

Behind him was a felyne, but not just any felyne, a Palico. A Palico is a Felyne that joins a Hunter in their travels and battles. They are extremely loyal, great cooks and specialize in song magic. When they play a song, they can increase the stamina and strength of the Hunter and heal wounds. Everyone wants a Palico, but to earn ones trust wasn't easy. This Palico was a female with orange tabby fur.

The faunus laughed at our expressions. "That was pathetic! If Aksun wasn't tamed, you all be in his guts by now!"

Ah, that explains it. Monsters can be tamed if raised from a young age and can turn the tide of battle in your favor. Monster Taming has been going on since the beginning against the Grimm, but usually smalls monsters were tamed. Like dire wolves, jagras' and wroggi, but larger monsters were rare and unless you're a druid or shaman, then you have to be good to tame a wyvern or even an elder dragon.

The man jumped down from his mount and stood at his full height of 6'10. Following him was the Palico, who looked bored.

While Glynda looked annoyed, Ozpin just smiled. "Everyone, this is Slate Argonsson and his Palico, Hyun. They serve as monster trainers of Beacon. Another lesson if you get lucky and manage to tame a monster. They make sure you don't lose a hand. Training with a monster isn't the same like a dog. If you show any weakness, they will kill you."

"Took me years until Aksun finally trusted me." The tigrex then leaned forward and nuzzled Slate's side with his snout. "Now we trust each other with our lives. We'll kill any Grimm or bandit shithead stupid enough to take us on!"

I saw at the corner of my eyes the woman's hands clenched as if in anger.

Curious.

"Slate and several other Hunters will keep watch on all of you from above and from the shadows." Glynda spoke up. "If you are in any trouble that could be life threatening, they will step in and you will fail and have to start all over again or you can leave."

"Really hope you kids take the second option," The Palico said lazily in a silky voice. "Tired of cleaning up the messes the Grimm and monsters leave behind."

"Well, she's the life of the party," Tai muttered under his breath.

"I heard that!"

Tai yelped and held his hands up in defense.

Unbelievable.

Ozpin smirked. "Now then, young Hunters. Get ready!"

Each and every Hunter did. While most drew their weapons I myself bent my legs at the ready. One at a time, each Hunter in training was sent flying towards the Emerald Forest. Tai gave me and the black haired woman a cheeky smile before flying off with a loud 'YAHOO!'.

The woman scoffed. "Swine."

Couldn't agree more.

I was launched next.

XXXXX 3RD PERSON POV XXXXX

Summer took the small time she had to enjoy the wind in her hair. Back on Patch when she practiced her semblance, she could practically fly through the air, feeling the wind even in petal form. Truly, there was no better freedom then that.

"Oh, well," Summer suddenly said, her eyes snapping open. She activated Guardian at the last minute and smashed through a tree. Then Summer turned into her petal form and sped off on the ground.

'Okay, think,' Summer thought as she kept her eyes peeled. 'Ozpin said we become partners with eye contact, so just stay in this from until I find someone useful and I should be alright. Father and mother wouldn't approve of this strategy, but I'm not going to partner up with Taiyang or those twins. Come on! There's gotta be someone- SHIT!'

Summer suddenly came to a stop and jumped into the air before she rocketed back down to the earth and smashed Guardian on the head of an ursus grimm, sending bits and pieces every where. Summer looked up and saw a pack of beowolves staring her down. She wiped the black blood off her cheek and glared. "Abominations." She growled, her silver eyes glowing. The grimm saw this and actually stepped back!

"The grimm have few weaknesses, daughter," Faye said to her one day during training. "One of them being us. We are silver-eyed warriors with immense strength and magic. There use to be many of us, but now there are few. Follow my teachings, and you will see something from the grimm thought impossible... fear."

Concentrating with all her power, Summer's eyes glowed even brighter and in a split second, the grimm were reduced to ash.

Summer sniffed. "Weak. Who's next?"

As if to answer her, a gryphon swooped down from the air and landed in front of her, releasing a mix between a roar and a screech. This wasn't a grimm gryphon, this was a monster gryphon. The difference between the two was simple. Grimm gryphons were half-lion and half-eagle with six-limbs and the usual looks of a grimm such as a white bone mask. Even then, it was almost majestic.

The monster gryphon on the other hand, could not be more different.

It looked like an unholy, chaotic mutant with the lion and eagle being forced to fuse together. It had a 25 foot wingspan with black colored feathers and had four limbs instead of six. The front limbs were the legs and wings, which it used to walk like a pterosaur, the fronts tipped with foot long claws. The body was that of a dark brown lion with its rear paws tipped with grasping talons. It was the head that was the most hideous. The head was that of a lion with a wild mane of black hair. It's mouth was a large, curved beak made for ripping flesh and breaking bone. (3)

Despite this, Summer faced worse.

She cracked her neck. "Let's make this quick, shall we?"

The gryphon roar/screeched again and struck fast with its beak. Summer used this to her advantage and swung Guardian at its head, sending the beast tumbling to the ground. Before it could get up, Summer turned into petals and surrounded the gryphon. It lashed out with its beak and claws, but could not find anything solid to hit. Frustrated, the gryphon attempted to fly off, but Summer acted fast. She remembered a lesson from Signal when going up against flying grimm and monsters. Always go for the wings and tails, because without them, they can't fly.

Taking it to heart, Summer reacted. She reformed in the air, retracted Guardian and grabbed Talon. She twisted and the bow split into two before transforming into curved blades with the serpents heads now being the pommels. Summer then swung her swords and cut through the left wing. The gryphon roared in pain and struck again with its claws, but Summer dodged with a another twist and at the same time, cuts the other wing. With the monsters wings clipped, it was done.

Exploding into a storm of petals, the gryphon was completely blindsided as it was surrounded, blocking its line of sight as cuts appeared all over its body. And then...

Summer appeared seconds later and simply stood there, back turned to the gryphon.

Seeing its chance and now desperate because of blood loss and adrenaline, the gryphon charged and jumped 10 feet off the ground, its claws and beak ready, until Summer spun around with Talon now back in its bow form, an arrow nocked at the ready. Summer scoffed, "Please." And released the arrow. It struck the gryphon right between its eyes and pierced its brain.

Summer then took one step to the right and lets the corpse tumble away.

She smirked. "Better luck next time you come back. Enjoy the afterlife."

"You know, I have to admit, tha-"

Summer struck fast.

She tackled the stranger to the ground before they could react and held her knife to their throat.

"... Well, that's what I get for being sneaky. Just my luck, as usual."

When the adrenaline wore off, Summer saw, to her dismay, the one of the twins she was hoping to avoid. It was the guy, his red eyes staring back defiantly.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Summer growled.

"Uh, just standing here and-"

Summer pressed the knife closer to his jugular, shutting him up. "No, you moron! You just stood there while someone was fighting a deadly monster!"

He simply smirked. "I knew you had that handled, especially after what you did to those grimm. What was that anyway? A semblance or magic?"

This just answered a few of her questions. This guy and his sister are studying people!

Summer stood up and jumped back, allowing the man to get up from the ground. "What's your game?"

After dusting himself off, the man raised an eyebrow. "My what?"

"I've seen you and your sister. You've been watching everyone here. Studying us..." The man was slowly looking surprised and summer could see worry in those red eyes of his.

She simply shook his head and said, "The fuck you talkin' about? I'm just watching how my new partner could handle herself and I am not disappointed. Names Qrow Branwen, by the way."

Summer mentally cursed. She made eye contact with this man and now they're partners. "Summer Rose. And next time, feel free to join the fight."

Qrow raised his hands in surrender. "Fair enough. Shall we head off then?"

Summer narrowed her eyes. If this guy tried anything, she won't hesitate to end him. "Fine."

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

It was a short time later that Summer and Qrow arrived at their destination. A short cliff overlooking a temple now in ruins. Along the wall of the temple was a number of pedestals. Some were empty but others had large chess pieces on them.

Keeping their eyes peeled, Summer and Qrow carefully made their way to the ruins until they heard a noise. While Summer grabbed Talon, Qrow went for his large scythe which he called Harbinger. They aimed their weapons at the rustling bushes until...

"FOUND YOU!"

Surprised, Summer accidently released her arrow and it pinned Taiyang to a tree.

Freezing in shock, Taiyang slowly turned his head to the left and saw the arrow pierced through his shirt, just barely an inch from his skin. Instead of being scared or angry, his mouth exploded into a full on grin. "Holy shit! That was close, am I right? But, I get the point. No more scaring or surprises from now on. Still, if I knew I'd be meeting new people, I would have worn a suit and bowtie! Get it? Because you got a bow."

"... Summer, move out of the way; I'm gonna shoot him." Qrow said in a deadpan tone.

Oh, Summer was very tempted.

"No, brother, stand down. I'll kill this one myself."

'Fantastic.' Summer thought in annoyance as Qrow's equally suspicious sister walked out of the forest and ripped the arrow out of Taiyang's shirt. 'Now I'm going to be on a team with spy #1, spy #2 and a man child. What even is my life?'

"I believe this is yours?" The sister questioned, holding up the arrow and giving Summer a glare. "Names Raven by the way."

'Already figured me out huh?' Summer thought, grabbing the arrow and placing it back in the quiver after introducing herself. 'Fine.' Summer looked around and saw no one else but herself and the other three. She sighed. "Alright, it looks like we're a team."

"Score," Taiyang muttered under his breath, giving Summer and Raven lustful looks until Qrow hits him on the head with Harbinger.

Summer's right eye twitched. "I'll grab the relic and we'll be on our way."

As she made her way to the pedestal, Summer suddenly came to a stop.

"Now what?!" Qrow groaned out as he, his and Taiyang stood battle ready.

Summer closed her eyes to feel the area. When she felt blinding hot rage, her eyes snapped open and she shouted, "DRAGON!"

Summer jumped back just in time for a huge shape to smash down on where she just was not two seconds ago.

"You gotta be fucking kidding me," Taiyang moaned out at the sight of the massive dragon that stood in front of them.

Its black, thick scaled body was covered in large spiked osteoderms, even its wings. It had six limbs, its front and back legs as thick as tree trunks and a long tailed that was also covered in spikes. Two massive horns rested atop the head with a jaw filled with bone-crushing teeth. It then released a mighty roar that forced the Hunters in training to cover their ears. After it was done, the dragon glared at them with unbelievable hate.

"Nergigante," Raven hissed, unsheathing her sword, Omen.

"What the hell is an Elder Dragon doing here!" Qrow exclaimed.

He was right. Wild Elder Dragons were a rare sight in northern Sanus and just their luck, they met the incarnation of rage. Nergigante's are one of, if not the, most aggressive Elder Dragons ever born. It attacks everything in sight and its favorite food are other Elder Dragons. Even the largest of grimm stay as far away as possible from this monster. Another name for this beast is the Extinction Dragon.

A loud siren was heard throughout the forest fallowed by Ozpin's voice. "ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS! EVACUATE THE FOREST AT ONCE! ELDER DRAGON ON THE LOOSE!"

"No shit, professor!" Qrow groaned.

Narrowing her eyes, Summer grabbed Talon and nocked an arrow. "Listen, we can't just take a relic and go now, we need to kill this thing."

"Have you lost your mind?!" Taiyang shouted in disbelief

"If we don't, it goes after the school next!" Summer shouted back. "They would win, but not without taking casualties!"

"Seems like a challenge," Raven smirked. "I like it."

Qrow rolled his eyes. "Can the big talk, sis. But, I guess if we're gonna make a name for ourselves, we gotta do something big. And what's bigger then an Elder Dragon?"

That was all the assentive they needed.

Summer was the first to strike. Releasing her arrow, it exploded on impact against the side of the Nergigante. Though it did no damage, it did anger the dragon. Roaring, the Nergigante jumped into the air. Knowing what was going to happen, the team jumped out of the way just as the dragon slammed down, sending a shockwave that destroyed the temple and sending the relics away.

"Okay, that's it!" Taiyang shouted in equal amounts of anger. Flexing his arms, his weapons formed from the backpack and took the form of two large gauntlets in the shape of skulls. (4)

He charged, his weapons covered in a golden aura, and smashed his gauntlets at the dragon and with each strike, spikes were broken off. Grunting, the Nergigante swung his paw, but to everyones surprise, Taiyang blocked it. Grinning, the man jumped and struck the dragon on the cheek before jumping back to avoid the teeth.

"Get the horns!" Summer shouted. "Weaken it!"

"On it!" Qrow said before using the shotgun of his weapon to send him into the air. He fired haze based dust that created a blinding cloud around the dragon. As it was distracted, Harbinger was transformed into sword mode and with a swing Qrow tried to slice off one of the horns, but the Nergigante blocked the attack with his armored wing, simply losing a few more spikes in the process. The dragon then spun around to smash its tail into Qrow, only for a portal to appear next to the human.

A hand grabbed Qrow and pulled him in just before he was crushed. Caught off guard, the dragon looked around for Qrow, only to roar after feeling a sharp pain on its back. It spun its head around and saw both Qrow and Raven standing on its back, the latters sword now a few inches deep. Simply smiling, Raven activated another portal and both siblings jumped into it and appeared next to Summer and Taiyang.

"Smart bastard," Qrow cursed.

"It isn't an Elder Dragon just for strength," Raven quipped.

Just then, the dragon started shaking. It took deep breaths until letting out a roar three times stronger then the last. A dark purple aura covered the body and its eyes glowed red like a grimms.

Taiyang growled. "Great! Second Stage."

"Explain." Summer said.

"Second Stage occurs when the anger of the Nergigante reaches critical. It might lose some intelligence, but rectifies it with brutal strength and even more rage, if that's even possible."

Summer simply smiled. "Brutal rage, huh? I've seen worse." She then removed her weapons and handed them to Raven. "Hold those for me."

Caught off guard, Raven exclaimed, "What are you doing?!"

Summer ignored the woman and walked towards the dragon. Seeing this, the Nergigante growled. It clawed the ground, spread its wings and shook its tail. Summer knew this was a territorial threat display, but was undeterred. She might be scared, but it wasn't going to stop her from saving people.

Back at Beacon in Ozpin's office...

"What is she doing?!" Glynda shouted at the sight on the screen in front of her and Ozpin.

"Apparently trying to prove herself to us." Though he looked calm, Ozpin was most definitely NOT calm, as evident from the way his mug shook. 'Faye and Kratos are going to kill me.'

Not wanting to lose advantage of an easy kill, the Nergigante jumped into the air and headed straight for Summer, who just stood there.

"Move, you psycho!" Qrow shouted.

Taiyang and Raven could only watch as the Nergigante struck, sending up a cloud of dirt that blocked the sight from everyone.

The whole area was completely silent. Taiyang and Qrow held their heads, their mouths open in silent screams while Raven stared with wide eyes. Glynda covered her mouth with a hand and Ozpin dropped his mug in horror.

'What have I done?' Ozpin could only imagine the tortures Faye and Kratos will have for him.

It wasn't until the dust cleared that horror turned to shock. The Nergigante was struggling to move as its horns were being held by Summer. The Huntress didn't even look like she was struggling as she stood there with a defiant look in her eyes.

She smirked. "Big mistake."

Then she unleashed a primal roar and her white aura turned red and her silver eyes glowed. Desperate, the Nergigante struck with its paw, but Summer attacked first. With a single punch, the left horn was shattered into a thousand pieces. The dragon screeched in pain. Summer then used her speed to get behind and grabbed the beasts tail. She then swung with all her might and the Nergigante was smashed against trees and rocks like a childs toy.

"Holy crap! You guys seeing this?!" Taiyang exclaimed.

"How could we possibly miss this?!" Qrow shouted while his sister simply watched, still with wide eyes.

Done playing around, Summer slammed the dragon to the ground and broke the other horn. She wasn't done there. Summer wrapped both arms around the dragons neck. The Nergigante struggled with all the strength it had left, but Summer held strong. Unleashing another roar, the demigod twisted her arms and snapped the Nergigante's neck. A sickening crack was heard throughout the area as the dragon went limp.

Releasing the corpse, Summer took deep, calming breaths and her aura faded away. Taking one last breath and exhale, Summer turned to see the rest of her team staring at her with open mouths.

"What?" Summer innocently asked.

In Ozpin's office, the professor lets out the breath he didn't know he was holding as Glynda simply stood there, frozen in equal shock.

'I saw my life flash before my eyes,' Ozpin thought, patting his chest to calm his rapid beating heart. 'Next time, take the girl on her word. She really does have control over her anger. Better then Kratos even.' He smiled. 'A Hunter demigod with the rage of her father, the heart of her mother and the strength of both. What a winning combination.' That's when he noticed when he was going to take a sip that he realized he dropped his mug. "Oh, damn. That was my favorite."

After retrieving the relic, Summer and her new team mad their way back to Beacon. It was a short time later that Ozpin had all the students- minus those who didn't pass- assembled in the auditorium. Four by four, each team came up to the stage where Ozpin gave them their team names and chooses who the leader is.

Summer was almost caught off guard when Ozpin created the team names using the first letters of their first names. Examples include ONYX, GRDN, FLCN and so on. 'Well, mother did tell me this was how Beacon named their teams.' Summer thought, remembering what Faye said. She also remembered how her father thought it was the most ridiculous way to name a team.

Summer and her team were next. They walked up to the stage and stood at attention, ignoring the looks everyone in the auditorium was giving them and whispers they could hear. After all, it wasn't everyday a 17-year old student managed to kill an Elder Dragon with their bare hands.

Ozpin smiled. "Summer Rose. Taiyang Xiao Long. Raven Branwen. Qrow Branwen. You four retrieved the black rook relic and achieved something very few students have: Killing a Nergigante! I am beyond proud to call you future Hunters Team STRQ! Led by Summer Rose!"

Summer was caught off guard. 'Me? Leader?'

While everyone clapped and cheered, Ozpin walked up to Summer and said, "You've proven me wrong, Summer. Know though, I never underestimated you. You truly are your parents daughter. I do ask you never do that again."

"Because I could get hurt?" Summer asked innocently.

"That, plus I don't want to die."

"You?" Taiyang asked in confusion.

"You haven't met her parents yet," Ozpin deadpanned.

Summer and her new team now made their way over to the dorms to their new room, all the while, the demigod was trying to ignore the questions she was pestered with.

"How did you do that?!"

"That wasn't any semblance or magic I've ever seen!"

"What was that aura? Yours changed from white to red."

Summer held up a hand. "Listen. I'll answer your questions in time until we've earned each others trust. Fair?"

Taiyang shrugged. "Fair. I mean we did just meet."

"And killed an Elder Dragon together." Qrow smirked.

Summer simply crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at the Branwen twins. "Where are you two from anyway?"

"Woah, what's with the hostility?" Qrow said. "My sis and I are just here to become Hunters like everyone else."

Summer thought about this. She can't just bring this up to Ozpin when she didn't have any physical proof. Ozpin and Summer's parents may be friends, but he wouldn't take her word for it just like that. So, until something happens, she'll put her trust in them.

She sighed. "Yeah, I guess I'm just being paranoid and stressed out from today. You know what, forget it. Tomorrow our future officially begins."

Raven smirked. "That's what I like to hear. Until then, let's make the best of this. Okay, cutie?" Right before pinching Summer's cheek like a child.

Summer slapped the hand away and Raven chuckled before moving on, purposely swaying her hips from side to side.

"Nice," Taiyang said with a knowing smirk while eyeing that ass.

Summer couldn't help but agree. "Yeah. Those are some baby making hips."

"And those legs go on for a while."

"Don't forget the chest."

"How could I? Could probably suffocate on those. I wouldn't mind going out that way, though."

Qrow moaned in disgust and covered his ears with his hands. "Guys, come on! Ogle her when I'm not here; That's my sister."

Taiyang laughed. "Get use to it, birdy. I call a top bunk!" Then he ran to the room.

"Hey, I want a top too! Also, cut it out with the jokes and puns!" Qrow shouted before chasing after the blonde.

Summer just stood there for a few seconds before a small laugh came out of her smiling mouth. "Maybe this won't be so bad." She turned her head and watched the broken moon. "Mother, father, when I come back, I'll be coming back a warrior." She then smirked and punched her right fist into her left palm. "Let's get started."

Me: I'm not going to apologize for taking too long to update, because I was enjoying life... Almost.

I went to a fancy hotel for my dad's birthday, tried and failed multiple times to get a PS5, went to California twice for vacation which included San Francisco -FYI, Oaklands really got a problem and the whole country needs to do something about it- and I got Covid awhile back. God, how I wish everything would go back to normal.

Life just shows you got to enjoy it and live it up as best you can... but not out of the country for a long while. Well, doesn't matter because I figured out a way to continue this story. I just got to watch RWBY again. The new volumes aren't really cutting it out for me so to save time I'll probably skip some episodes and just stop at Atlas. How that ends, you just got to wait and see because after that is going to be a crossover with a very special show I love, but no spoilers yet. Read and review my friends.

1 - I found this good pick of Summer in armor on Google images, but couldn't find the artist.

2 - Talons look is its final upgrade from God of War 4.

3 - I'm using the Witcher 3 gryphon. It's got it's own original feel and look to it that makes me love it.

4 - The Gauntlets of Ares from God of War Ascension Multiplayer. I haven't come up with a name for them yet, so help me out with that please? He had to get weapons and all he could really do from what we saw was that he could punch and wrestle. Nothing else on his equipment or even his semblance.
