The Weirdo Trio are inside the Owl house as Luz is recording King facing his greatest enemy up to date… a ducky sock, Beat is helping Chris on fixing the Holotome for a few days. Bulreguard is sleeping on the couch in peace, not minding the noise at all. But finally, after blood, sweat, and tears… mostly blood… the strange device is now working. It showed a holographic screen hovering over the device, random symbols and glyphs swirled around the green light that is still a mystery to translate.
"So… is it working now?" Beat and Luz looked at the Holotome, looking at the holographic screen in awe in wonder.
"I guess?" Chris said looking through his notes. "Eda said that the Holotome is so old, no one in the Isles would even know how to work it," he checked another page. "But… I've managed to get to work on categorizing each Titan and what they're capable of… I think?"
"Well let's test it out." Beat pulled out his Freelancer amulet for the Holotome to scan it.
Freelancer, Draco-Warrior Titan, Attack 3, Defence 3, Size: Average, Special Ability: Defender. Freelancers are eager to serve and fight with seekers.
"Hey, it worked!"
"Oye," the short teen looked offended. "I'm just lucky enough to power this thing on with the data files still intact… most of it..."
"Let's check what this ring Amulet is?" Luz said as she hovers the item over.
Titan… Unknown… Type… Unknown… Attack… Unknown… Defense… Unknown… Size… Unknown… Information Corrupted
"..." Luz and Beat looked at the repair teen who sighed in defeat. "Cut me some slack, I just got the thing?"
"I guess you still need more parts," Luz said, putting the ring back in her pocket. "I still wonder what Titan do I have in this ring?"
"Guys! Are you listening!" King shouted at them as he grabbed their attention. "Ahem, now as I was saying, the Snaggleback is the most powerful demon ever known! His defence is strong enough to block the strongest attacks!"
"And sassy!" Luz said as she started to mess with her phone.
"How much do you want to bet that Megataur could take it on?"
"I'd say… A bowl of ramen and a quarter of my choirs?"
"... Okay granted you guys can handle us demons with Titans, but I still want one!" King said pouting.
"Look, King, we know you want one, but with your track record…" Beat tried to find the nicest way to describe what he's saying.
"You're a little sociopath with greed and destruction." Chris finished for his taller friend without mincing his words. "And recently you can make accidents without realizing it."
"Hey! That's… true." King deflated knowing about it. Then they heard a loud thunder strike from outside. "Uh oh, looks like it's going to rain." Bulreguard howled and walked to Chris and whimpered.
Luz gasped and got up. "I love the rain!"
"Wait a minute, this is the Boilings Isles." Beat asked as he watched Luz about to head out the door. "Wouldn't rain become…"

"Ah… I just love the few drops of rain," Luz smiles as she dances around outside, kneeling down to a flower and gently pets it. "I bet you like it too, huh?" as a raindrop fell… only to watch the plant wilt and die instantly. Pupils shrank into dots as her joyful expression is turned to shock and fear. "What?"
"BOILING RAIN!" Eda cries out from outside as she runs away from the coming weather. "GET IN! GET IN! GET IN!" She then grabs Luz and jumps inside, making the girl crash onto the large teen. "Phew, that was close, but the important thing is your fine."
"Think again Eda." the large teen said in pain by the cushion for Luz. "... you okay L?"
"Yeah, Sorry Beat," Luz said, having a mug hit her head. "Ow."
"It's alright L." the large teen said, getting up from the scuffle. "Say Chris, weren't you going to figure out why Bulriguard was out the longest with that thing?"
"Oh yeah." The short seeker pulls out the bulldog's amulet and places it to the Holotome for it to scan the amulet.
Titan: Bulreguard. Type, Gaia-Scout Titan. Attack 0, Defence 0, Size: Small, Special Ability, Speak. Bulriguard is not a fighter but can boost the morality of other titans and is known to be a well refined Tracker. Loyal to the bone, Bulregard will stay by it's Seekers side for long periods of time.
"Well now." Chris said, surprised about this information. "I guess I have a loyal pet of my own." he said and petted his Titan Bulldog. "Aren't you the best? Yes you are, yes you are!"
"Now that this is working, somewhat." Beat shrugged a little. "We can finally categorise our amulets and find more amulets." he then pulled out his sack of amulets. "I wonder what kind of Titans i have in my collection?"
The three humans and the demon king walk outside close to the entrance as Eda is conjuring a spell while having a forcefield to protect herself from the acid rain. The King places a bandage on Luz's arm then places one on his nose. "There, now we're boo boo buddies!"
This made her gasp and fall near to her furry friend. "Oh my gosh I love you so much." she whispered to him. "A Boiling rainstorm in the Boiling Isles, the weather here is so much fun!"
"Yeah we don't have weather, we have plagues." Eda explained the boiling Isles physics to the three humans. "Gore-nados, shail-hail, pain-bows." she lists down only a few plagues she can think of.
"It's like a rainbow, but looking at it turns you inside out!" King joyfully said as Luz pulled her strings on her hoodie and curled up in fear.
"Your one little psychopath King." Beat said, putting his hands on his back.
"So until the boiling rains stops no one is allowed outside tonight." Warned the Owl Lady to her roommates.
The king of demons pulls out his demon book from his hat. "And if the rain doesn't get you the Snaggleback will!" King said showing the humans a picture of said demon. "They wander in the rain, feeding on boiled tourists!"
"Well whatever the case, this forcefield spell should protect the house of the boiling rain, amd make up demons.
"Hoot! Well could you hurry up with that forcefield, the rain is getting closer to my precious stucco!"
"Yeah yeah I got it." Eda said grabbing her staff and adding the magical orb into it as she made another forcefield, more bigger than the one she's using, then the said shield morphed into the exact shape of the owl house.
"Wow," Luz looks at Eda in awe while walking back to the Owl House. "I want to be as cool as Eda the Owl Lady." she watches her flaunt her hair. "Magical, sassy, surprisingly foxy for her age." She looked up to her mentor as they are now close. "Why do they call you the Owl Lady, anyway?"
Eda chuckled and leaned down to her apprentice. "Because I'm so~ wise."
"Because she coughs up rat bones!" Hooty said
"Really?" Beat tried not to think of the image.
King shook his head as he cleared his throat. "I think it's because she gets distracted by shiny objects."
The Owl Lady huffs and looks at the Demon. "No I don't." But King proves his point to pull out his pen, a gem on top which lights up with a flick of a button. "It's sparkles and shimmers." her eyes dilated largely in a trance. "It shines and delights, I must have it for my nest." she said as Eda pounces after it only to miss and falls onto the ground.
"..." Chris blinks at the sight, pretending he will not want to rub it in, not in his nature after all. "Wait, you have a nest?" curiosity is another subject.
"Another thing to add for the Owl Lady." Beat jabs a little. "And it reminds me of you Chris, remember that event?"
"SHUT IT!" The short teen elbows the large teens hip which made said teen chuckle.
"... What?" King tilts his head in curiosity.
"For my sake to live in my forties," Luz whispers to the little demon. "I'm not allowed to speak of it."
"Oh… boy…" Eda rubs her back and groans. "That force field really took it out of me."
"Uh oh, moving a little slow, age finally getting to ya?" King said to her. Insulted by the rude little roommate, she grabbed his hat to pull it down over his head. "AH! DARKNESS!"
The humans watch Eda dragging herself inside the house, leaving the boys to look at Luz who looked optimistic as ever. "This is perfect! Since we'll be stuck in the house all night, Eda won't have any excuse not to teach me a spell."
"She looks a little tired L," Beat said, putting things together. "Maybe we should leave her alone."
Chris shook his head and walked to the Holotome. "Plus I can list down the Titans we have in hand," he said and grabbed a notebook and pencil. "Who wants to help me?"
"Guys, wait!" King hops up and down for their attention. "Don't you wanna finish our lesson? I was gonna let you scratch a demon's tummy. Me!" he pointed as he pats his own furry belly.
"I can finish your lesson King." Beat said, smiling at the small demon. "I'm kind of curious about the Snaggleback, so I know how hard to punch it."
"Hooray!" King joyfully said
"Arf!" Bulreguard walks to his Seeker and nuzzles his leg.
"Awe thanks, we got work to do." Chris walks to the kitchen to get some work done in peace.
"Whatever it is, no," Eda said as she pulled the blanket.
"Uh, and your hair is like…" Luz tries to butter her up. "Girl…"
"I'm not teaching you magic tonight." The Owl Lady snuggles deeper into the blanket. "I'm Sleepy, I'm a sleepy little owl."
But eager and determined, Luz pleads with her mentor. "Please, Eda, please." she said and tried to form a good speech. "How am I supposed to earn my witch's staff if I don't know any spells?"
No avail as Eda made her final answer. "No… Sleep…" she said and tried to sleep… but she heard a familiar alluring noise. ".. sparkle thingy…"
Eda peaks out of her blanket to see the shiny pen that Luz is holding. "Oh, this?" Eda then acts like an overgrown cat as Luz backs away from her. She then pulls it away from her as Luz's mentor falls to the floor. "Nope! Teach me one spell and I'll give your sparkle thing."
"I admire your cunning…" Eda points out to Luz. "But I also hate you for it."
"You're the one who drove her to it!" Beat shouted as he got back to King's lesson.

As Eda stood before Luz with her Owl Staff, next to the room with another learning group with Beat and King learning about demons.
"If you want a witch's staff like mine, don't make me repeat myself." Eda snoozes slightly, dripping forward… but wakes up. "Witches' staffs have power embedded into them." she gestures her own.
"GIMME!" Luz demanded happily making Eda, Beat and King stare at her. Chirs and Bulregaurd are presented as they lean over the doorway from the kitchen.
"..." Eda blinks and steps back. "But before one is earned, every witch needs to know how to cast spells on their own… now…" she tosses her powerful item across the house to… who knows where? "Tonight I will show you how to create, light." She then made a circle for it to transform into a ball of light.
"Woah…" Luz looked at the ball of light in awe.
"Wow…" Beat eyes saw the magic… real magic before him… only to feel the slap of a notebook to see King pouting. "Sorry about that King."
"Pay attention, do you want to get eaten before you notice a demon got you?"
"I know," Beat said to the little demon. "But I just can't stop being surprised on seeing real magic, the only thing that is close is parlor tricks."
"Sleight of hand, card tricks, secret compartments." Chris's voice is overheard, as the said teen peaks over. "But that's the magic of entertainment and illusion of things."
"Thanks Chris." the tall teen said as he turned his attention back to King. "go on."
"Right," King said and marched to the picture. "The Snagglebacks shell is tough enough to survive in Boiling Rain for long periods of time, so tough, theory has it, it's tougher than any witch spell in the Isles."
"Question." Beat said to his little teacher. "Theoretically if a Seeker encounters it, does the Snaggleback can withstand the average titans attacks?"
"... Uh…" King tries to think… scratching his skull… then uses his foot to scratch under his chin as he ponders. "... No comment."
"It's alright if you don't have the answer King," the large teen said with a shrug. "Just try your best to explain to the best of your ability."
*THUD!*
"Aaaaahhhhh!"
"Huh?/Weh?"
"What the heck was that?" Chris rushes to the living room, looking to see Eda laying face forward on the ground. "What happened to Eda?"
The optimistic girl flipped Eda over, still out cold… or worst. "ONE MORE SPELL KILLED HER?!" Luz screams in horror. "It's all my magical obsession fault? I'm a monster~" she sobbed her sentence in horror of her actions.
Then King walked up to Eda and slapped her face. "Bap!" no response. "Yep she's out, bap!"
"We need to get help!" Luz tries to rush to the door, only to be tackled by her human friends.
"BOILING RAINS REMEMBER!" They reminded her about the hazardous rain…
"Ah let her try," Hooty commented to everyone. "It'll be fun to watch he-." Chris kicked the door shut to not want to hear the end of the sentence.
"But what if Eda's dead?!" But they heard snoring… sleep talking about shiny objects… turning to Eda's body to be moving slightly.
"No… but I'm sure she'll out live us all?…" Beat hears breathing… snoring… form the owl lady. "she's tuckered out, remember when you stayed up all night watching 3 movies of Azura the good witch?" the abnormal girl nodded as Beat pointed at the sleeping Eda. "That was you."
"And remember when her head was cut off last week?" King reminds Luz about that event. "That woman can survive anything, she's probably just tired from staying up all night chasing shrubs and vuls."
"We can't just leave her here on the floor." Chris suggested to everyone. "It's bad for her back." Then Beat walks over to her to hold her by the arms. "A little help?" The friends got her legs and tried to think of a way to get her comfortable.
"So… the couch or her room?"
"..." Luz thinks for a moment.

As they made it to her room, it was a very clean room, for a trash collector. The rumors of Eda having a large nest is actually true, along with shiny gold… and rats' bones. "Ew," the young fantasy obsessed girl pushed the rat bone aside.
The short teen looks to see a gold glowing bottle, taking it to read the label. "An Elixir a day…" Chris now puzzled, but puts it back on the nightstand which belongs to the owner of the Owl House.
"Sorry miss eda," Luz apologies to the sleeping Owl Lady. "please don't be mad when you wake up."
"Should I bap her again?" said King waving his small paw.
"No," Beat said, lowering King's paw down. "Lets leave her to rest, now come on, I got something to teach you about Titans, if you wish."
"..." As King watches the humans leave, he turns to Eda and raises his paw. "Bap!" he left with a mischievous laugh.

"Ok guys," Chris came back with a notebook with Bulregard sitting next to him. "We have Minddrone, Redcap, Marauder, Freelancer, Caliban, Sabriel, Kipperin, Megataur, Gar-Ghoul, currently." he listed the ones they are aware of in their arsenal. "The ones here are the titans named, Soulwing, Enforcer, Breaker, Wolf Knight, Ignatius, Killthane, Springer."
"Ooh I like the sound of a wolf knight." King said wagging his tail like a dog.
"..."
"... Farts." King was still not getting a Titan by the short teen.
"What about these four?" Luz pulled out the four identical amulets. "What are these?"
"Oh, these are called… ah… Hoplites." the short teen rereads his notes. "They're average size like Freelancer, but weak alone with low defense and offense."
"So it works like spartan warriors?" Beat asked.
"Right, their ability is called TeamWork, the more we have in the field, the stronger their formation will be." Chris explained the ability to them. "So the three of us will take one each that'll just leave the last to-don't even think about it you menacing furball."
"... Weh…" King slouches and waddles away.
"Man you really hold a grudge don't you?" Luz raises his brow, grabbing her phone to relearn Eda's lesson.
"You try fighting a giant slug trying to eat you, then tell me how you feel." Chris said, crossing his arms.
"Should've been there to help, but I was cramped in a pot helping another Witch." Beat argued back.
"Ugh!" Luz's voice said, being a little agitated. "This is all she does, why do you gotta be so cryptid Owl Lady?" She then replayed the short recording of Eda's lesson.
"Now you see the.. Spell circle is really…" Luz tries to listen closely, but is interrupted by a book.
"Why, you know what's really cryptish?" the adorable demon said and revealed a picture. "The spine-chilling demon. The Meanie-Gnome!" it's just a crud drawing of Chris wearing a gnome hat and having stinky lines.
"..."
"..."
"... Did it just get hot i-.. Oh…" Beat scoots away from the volcano known as the Mt. Chrismore as Luz did the very same thing. "Now you've done it King."
"I want to figure out this spell guys," Luz said to her friends. "But if I don't have a magic sac, what's the point?"
"Magic sack?" that had cooled the short teen down a bit, but everyone else kept their distance. "What the heck is that?"
"I think it's like a Mana Pool in The Good Witch Azure Dungeon Brawlers." Luz explained to them. "But it's an actual organ attached to witches' hearts."
"But us being human, we don't have any of… wait a minute." Beat shook his head. "Weren't you floating from your doom back at the markets?"
"And you're super strength fighting the Warden?"
"And lightning fists." Luz points out. "Don't forget the lightning fists."
"I've been trying to do that." Beat tries to concentrate… nothing… "I even tried going Dragon Ball Z super saiyan power up scream… nothing…"
"Eda said Witches did something else to do magic." King caught their attention. "But if I tell you the solution, would you like to learn more about demons?"
"Yes!" Luz hugs the little demon. "Yes! Yes! Yes! I would learn everything about demons for a week if you help me learn magic!"
"Count me out," Chirs said as he picks up the Holotome. "I need to tweek this thing."
"And I need to figure out how to do those seeker magic." Beat said as he walked to the kitchen "And no, I won't eat a Senzu Bean."
"... what's a senzu bean?" King said innocently, shaking his head to change the subject. "But I have a theory," he drew on his notepad and showed Luz. "I saw Eda sneaking a potion almost every day before going to work, so maybe that potion is what boosts her power? I think that's where she gets her powers, and I know here to get some."
"Really?!" Luz said excitedly as King nodded.
"Si." he said, Luz then gives him a hug.

The door to Eda's room opened, peeking out is the head of the adorable innocent and mischievous King of Demons.
King snuck into Edas room to grab the elixir, then he noticed a piece of paper. "An Elixir a day… ominus..." but he shrugged and went back to Luz.

In the kitchen of the Owl House, Chris and Beat sat on the table eating some snacks to take a break from fixing the Holotome, as Luz is in the kitchen getting ready with her elixir bib. The Titan Bulldog is missing as he is returned to the Amulet by his Seeker.
"You have a bib to drink an Elixir?" Beat asked with a raised brow?"
"This is Luz," Chris said, staring at the large Seeker. "I think she has a bib for everything?"
"Don't judge me." The girl of the weirdo trio exclaimed with pride. Seeing King enter the kitchen with the golden liquid bottle.
"What the heck is that?" The tall teen asked in curiosity after putting down the Hoplite Amulet he was inspecting.
"Just something for Luz to get a power boost," King explained and pointed his finger upon his arch nemesis. "If this works, you will apologize and hand me an amulet!"
"No way demon fray." Chris said, turning his head away from King. "I still won't forgive you from last week."
The tall teen looked at Luz when she opened the bottle, having large concerns about this idea. "Luz, I don't think that's a good idea," he said with a raised hand. "My weirdo senses are tingling and that bottle full of bad news?"
Luz suddenly became serious… but still goofy and turned to Beat. "Beat, I'm going to learn magic, real magic?" she said and looked down on the golden liquid. "I just want to learn it badly." without heeding their warnings, she tries to take a sip…
*BOOM!*
To the boy's relief of nature, lightning and thunder was sounded to freak Luz out. Dropping the Elixir from her hands and crashing it spilled on the kitchen floor.
"No! Golden Elixir!" She tried to reach for it but stayed on her seat to avoid contact with the sharp glass. "Gone…"
"Did you say Elixir?" Chris spoke to Luz… then to King looking down at the now potion mess. "King, why would Luz want a Curse Suppression Medicine."
"Wait what?" Luz said looking at the broken bottle.
"I've been reading one of Eda's old Textbooks, well, taking a break from repairing the Holotome." the short teen started explaining as he started to get to the point. "Elixirs are dubbed to be medicine here in the Boiling Isles."
"What?" Luz said, turning her attention to Chris.
"Meh, who needs magic and light spells," King scoffs and gestures the entire house. "We have tons of lamps." Soon the lights have shut down causing everyone to look up. "Ah great, Hooty's probably aslee-."
"AAAHHH! HOOT! HOOT!"
"Hooty!?" The trio rushed to the living room which leads to the front door… uh… was the door. It was a complete mess. The door which Hooty was on is now on the ground, covered in claw marks… hence where it came from is the strange large creature. Too dark to describe but its size as it rushes back outside.
"Oh crud hooty!" Beat shouted to the door seeing him knocked out, then he poked his eye and nose. "Speak to me, anything annoying!?"
"The Snaggleback!" King points out the door.
"Guys, that creature just rushed out to the Boiling Rain," Chris said as he grabbed an Amulet just in case. "What could've survived that?"
"It's the Snaggleback! It feeds during the rain!" King panicked. "It must have stumbled across the house and seen us inside!" Then they heard it roared and looked up to see it crash though the window upstairs.
"Wait, I got just the Titan for the job." the short teen pulled out an Amulet. "Minddrone!" summoning the Swara-mechanical humanoid Titan and standing before him. "Ok buddy, it's going to be dangerous, up for a scout mission?" It saluted like a soldier and crawled on the walls of the house to the broken window of the second floor. Chirs then opens the Holotome and typed the sequences, to reveal the room Minddrone is in.
"Woah, is that what he's seeing? King wagged his tail in excitement.
"Yeah, I found out a few days ago when testing it." the short teen smirks in pride. "Minddrone's ability is he allows us to see what he's seeing with this, he's a fighter and a scouter."
"Shh," Beat pointed at the holographic screen. Then it heard some noses and looked around, Images blurred left and right like a struggle, but the screen went static.
"..." everyone saw the light of Minddrone return to his Amulet. "Whatever it is, it's tough enough to take on an average size Titan?"
"Guess a bigger titan is out of the question." Beat said try to think of something to help them. "The only small titans we have are L's Kipperin, the Enforcers, the Minddrone that just got squashed and Bulriguard." The Bulldog let out a bark. "What else do we have that would avoid property damage?"
"... Well, the only option we have left," Chris grabbed a football helmet and a baseball bat. "Go upstairs Ghostbusters style."
"... Now you're talking my language!" Beat said, pulling out a helmet from nowhere then punching his fists together. "Let's get Dangerous!"
"Um…" Luz said being a little unsure. "Let me get protection."
Luz put some rubber gloves and King just duct taped a pillow on his tummy as she armed herself with a rack and pulled out her phone as a flashlight. The four of them venture though the owl house, being careful on their footsteps, when they reach Eda's room they see the Owl Lady is gone. "OH MY GOSH!"
"Eda got Snagglebacked!" King shouted.
Beat went to the next and spotted her pillow having slash marks. "Oh no, slash marks."
"Oh no…" Luz covered her mouth then turned to King. "King! You're the demon expert, we need your help!"
"I'll go get my demon book!" king said running back downstairs to get his demon book.
"Let's search the place to find some clues." Chris suggested as the Seekers start to look around.

"Wait, wait, first addition or second?" he suggested while holding two books, he then looked ahead only to see the weirdo trio are gone! "Luz?! Beat?! Chris?!" he dropped his book only for it to open to the Snaggleback. "The Snaggleback got them!" then he heard a nose from behind, he looked to see the shadow moving. "You graven beast! Give me back my Boo Boo buddy and her entourage!" the King of Demon shouted while chasing it. When he turned to the corner he saw something that horrified him…. Luz's shoe while the door closed. "Luz…" he picked up the shoe and started to get angry, he went through the door which turned out to be a closet and looked around, he saw a shadow behind some clothes which he believed was the monster he was looking for. "There, nowhere for you to run…" he pushed the dresses away to show…. "The Snaggleback?" King looks at the ape-like creature in a spike shell… who is the same size as the King of Demons. "... You're a lot shorter in person?"
Ferocious was not how it was described, but stutters in fright. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he said in defense. "I just needed a place to hide from the rains."
"Then why did you kick down our door and take my friends?!" King yelled at the supposed frightening demon. "Not cool man, bad Snaggleback!"
"No I didn't, I just got here through the window." he said, quivering in fear. "I snuck through the window to hide here from the rain."
"Wait, if you didn't do that, then-" then something burst from the sealing and grabbed the Snaggleback.
"AH! A twist!" it said as the hand pulled him in the hole, then the door opened behind him giving him a spook, the door opened to show the silhouette monster and it dropped the Snaggleback's shell.
"Oh my," King said as he is now terrified at the monster. "S-stay back! Hey hey! I'm the king of demons okay? A-and I demand you barf out my friends!"
"..." it ignored him and raised it's arm to slash at him, but luckily it missed.
He started to run for his life while holding his stuffed rabbit, he ran down the halls away from the monster and tried not to get eaten, when he turned to the corner and grabbed him and pulled into a room. He looked to see it's Luz who was holding him and waited for the demon to pass. "Guys!" King hugged Chris… However, the short teen sighs and hugs the little demon back. Realizing everyone is still in Eda's room, he looked at his friends. "I thought that demon got you?"
"What demon?" Beat asked with a raised brow. "We've been digging through Eda's closet to see she's in there? And wow that lady is a hoarder."
"Hey my shoe." Luz grabbed her shoe to lift her bare foot… but attached to the skin is a piece of paper.
"Hey whats that?" King said, taking the paper for a closer look. "Keeps the curse at bay… wait!" He then pulled out the paper he had in his collar and pieced them together. "A elixir a day keeps the curse at bay!"
"Curse? Wait what are you trying to say?" Luz said confused on what King was saying."
"I was wrong the whole time! That's no Snaggleback, that creature is-" a hand bursts through the door showing its claws, then bursting the door down is the monster, but it has Eda's face!
"EDA?!" All three seekers shouted in unison in shock.
"AH!" Luz dropped her phone, but the flashlight setting went off when it hit the ground. The eyes of the demon Eda shrank from the light, blinding her as she screeched away.
Everyone skittered out the balcony area of the Owl Lady's room, it was enough to hide them… however, she followed the smell and tracked them… searching and searching… Chris looked down to see a can pot plant, quietly grabbing it and threw it aside. The sound of cluttering drew Eda's attention, then it left.
All sighed in relief to wait a few seconds… then the short teen grabbed the king of demons to be close eye to eye. "Alright, furball, explain now." Chirs keeps his voice down while glaring daggers upon eye contact. "So help me I will break every bone in your body."
"I-I took a potion from Eda's room!" King whimpered in fear from the short teen. "I thought Witches and Wizards got their powers from potions and thought to give it to Luz?" breaking free and latches onto the taller teen to hide.
"How can Luz do magic with a Curse Suppression Elixir?!" Chris shouted while trying to strangle the 'demon king' again, but the curse of being short strikes again. "Get down here so I can strangle your boney head!"
"Guys, stop." Luz the girl pushes Chris down to calm him. "Fighting isn't going to stop her from maiming us."
"I'm sorry," King spoke up. "... I'm… sorry…" he calms down with admission. "I just… want you guys to pay attention to Demons more since you have other things." he looks at them with honesty in his eyes. "I just wanted friends who would listen."
"Dude you're talking to a behemoth with a family of proud weirdos," the behemoth said pointing to himself then to Luz. "a girl who's a fantasy expert going to be a witch, and a short but very smart teen who can tear down any equation, but can't get his anger in check. So you're already our friend the moment we saw ya."
"We're all in this together." Luz smiles… looking at the short teen and elbows him.
"..." Chris adjusts his glasses, sighing. "It was an accident… so I'll let this one slide."
"Right," Beat nodded, plucking the small fur ball and putting him on his shoulder as they huddled. "So, King, what do we know?"
King nodded, grabbing a piece of paper that Beat gave him. "Lets see, Large, very large," King nods as he draws. "Covered in feathers and has big black eyes, demons with black eyes are usually sensitive to light."
"I doubt our phones can use enough light, we need a big one, and fast."
"The only light source big enough would be a light spell… to bad Eda's the only one." She said with her broken phone replaying the video lesson… only to freeze upon the magic circle scene to reveal a symbol. "Wait… that symbol?" Luz looked at the frozen magic circle. "Chris, let me see the Holotome." as the short teen handed her the sort of functioning magical device.
Scanning… Data Found… Recalibrating… Calibration Complete…
"For something so old, it knows how to speak modern advancements?" Beat imputes his two cents.
Search Found… Symbol… Seeker Spell… Boltflare… Researching… Seeker Spell List Found...
"We won't be able to categorize all of them," Chris said as he looks at the Holotome. "How do we use the Seeker Spells?"
Searching… Answer Found… Seeker Magic is found by the power drawn by Titans… Casting Spells must be used by Verbal Command...
"... How convenient." the short teen said. "Uh… what's a spell to use?"
"Let's try with what we've first found." Luz said and scrolled around. "Ah, Boltflare, a basic spell made of light, capable of launching jets of fire or disorient with temporarily blindness?"
"That's useful." Beat said. "All we have to do is say Boltflare right?" but soon the teens and demon saw the taller teen's hands glow bright orange with building heat. "... Uh…" and out of his palms, jets of flames shot to the ceiling and caused light explosions. Everyone looked at the hole of the roof, then back at the large teen. "... Uh… She didn't hear that… right?"
A loud scream is heard, the teens and demon popped their heads up from their cover to see the trampling noise down the hall. "She heard us." Luz looked in fear and turned to her friends. "What do we do?"
Chris pondered, looking left and right to see the sheets, then out the balcony. "... Think Freelancer could hold our weight?"
"I think so," Beat said thinking about it. "Why do you ask?"
The Draco-Knight demon pulls the rope curtain to the ledge out of the window, outside to see the teens and demons holding onto dear life as they descend down to the ground. Beat looked down as he is the lowest with King latching on his shoulder, Luz second, and last on top is Chris.
*SCREEEEECH!*
Freelancer saw the Demon form of Eda skidding to a halt, with no way to defend himself with only the curtain in hand. For this loyal Titan has a mission, to keep the Seekers safe and descend them faster.
"Just a little more." Beat said and touched the ground, now leveled. "Okay, y-." but he saw the improvised rope wiggling by the wall and close to the forcefield which protected them from the boiling rain, his friends caught in the momentum. "Freelancer!" a flash of light as the spirit flew to return to the Amulet. "Drats."
The rope was loose and the two teens fell, the taller teen tried to catch them but all ended in a pile. "Wow," Chirs rubbed his head and looked down to Beat. "Sorry," he said as Luz helped him on his feet.
"Any time… ow…" The tall teen looked down to his amulet, seeing it glow for the spirit to return. "Go, go." he pushes his friends to the kitchen door.
As they huddled underneath the table, they tried to think of a new plan. "Ok, what do we have?"
"She's sensitive to light, and we just learned… a… spell… sort of." Luz deduced and looked at Beat.
"Which blast and vaporizing is no good in the situation." The taller teen ponders. "What do we do?"
The girl began to ponder, then remembered what the Holotome said. "It said Boltflare can stun and disorient," she said and hold her hands together… taking a deep breath. "... Boltflare…" a spark is shown, then a small ball of light is formed to shine the kitchen. She looked in awe at what she did, smiling with raising hopes. "I just did magic… I just did mag-mff!" The weirdo girl found her friends covering her mouth.
"She'll hear you." King raises his finger to look around… close is clear. "... Ok, one little bulb is good… but we need bigger."
The short teen ponders… then snaps his fingers to pull out the four shield shaped amulets. "Teamwork." he said and handed Beat and Luz one… and then hands on to King.
"Really? King said with sparkling eyes.
"It's time to prove me wrong," Chris smiles. "We need a fourth person."
"Right!"
"HOPLITE!" all four amulets shined brightly.
Then four greek warriors in bronze armor with lion like centar bodys while holding shields and swords in their hands. King is getting giddy over summoning his first titan. For the demon to hug his Hoplite's leg. "Soon, Hoplite, redemption is near!"
"No weapons," Beat said to them, watching them sheath their swords but kept their shields. "Alright… who's bait."
The short teen looked around. "Ok… Eenie… meenie… min-."
The tall, and demon spoke out. "Not it."
"Not it!" Luz shouted.
King tossed the sparkle pen to Chris, having him deflate as he soon found out. "... Sigh… Should've seen this coming." he then marches out the living room and upstairs.

Eda the Owl Demon starts to sniff around her room to look for something. "Oh Eda!" Chris leaned on the doorway, clicking the gem light and then leaving it on. "Shiny, sparkly, and glimmery~." he taunted. He sees the Demon Owl Eda look in awe, her eyes locked onto the precious. "You want it? Come and get it." she then pounced after him as the short seeker started to run. "Get ready!" he shouted as he stopped in a corner to duck from getting pounced on, then grabbed a shield from a broken knight statue and used it to skateboard down the stairs. "Incoming! She's coming in hot!" he flipped over, following the momentum to avoid getting eaten.
As the Demon Owl finally climbs down stairs, she sees the Hoplite warrior with a raised shield. It screams and tries to attack, but is tackled away by another. She screeched to see she was outnumbered, she tried to run out the front door, but was blocked off by the third Hoplite, the kitchen, stopped by the forth. Hoplite one and two grabbed her arms, as three and four went for the wings. They combine weight, their claws gripping the wooden floor to hold her down.
"Guys ready!" Luz said as Beat and Chris were by her side, each held their hands up.
"BOLTFIRE!" they all shouted and cast their spell.
Upon the combined power to shine brightly, the demon form of Eda screams as her nocturnal eyes shrink.

Eda changed back and woke up and noticed a straw in her mouth, then she noticed her black eye. "AH!" She then drinks the straw up, making her gem turn back to normal and herself in that matter. "Ugh… What happened? Why do I have this splitting headache." she clutched her head, but felt ill to her stomach. "Why does my mouth taste like roadkill...blurg…." her cheeks puffed, leaning over her nest and heaved… the aftermath was a huge pellat had appeared.
It cracked open to reveal the Snagglebeast, without his shell. "I'm just… gonna lie here for a while…"
Then the owl lady spotted her elixir bottle and picked it up. "Huh, I was looking for that?"
"Actually we found a spar one in the closet." King said walking up to her.
"King… King!" Eda pointed in anger at the furball roommate. "You stole my Elixir! I'm going to break every bone in you-."
"Sshh," The king of demons interrupted her, pointing over to the corner for the trio of teens to be seated in a circle.
"Ok, let's try again," Luz said and gestures to Beat. "Fire it up."
The tall teen nodded, holding his hands up with a deep breath. "Boltflare." he said calmly, thinking of calm flames like gentle candles. Soon a ball of light appeared in his hands. "Aha! Yes!" he said, watching it fly up and float with the others.
"H-How…" Eda looks up to see multiple light spell balls floating gently in her room. "How are they doing it?"
"I don't know?" King said in awe as well. "But… they did it on their own… and look," King said and raised Hoplite's Amulet. "Chris forgives me and gave me my first amulet! I'm a seeker now!" but the excitement diluted when he saw Eda's stern look. "Look… I'm sorry that I… took your Elixir…"
"You better be." Eda said he was still angered upon her roommate. "I have a long disgusting list of choirs with your name on it… but…" the teens walked to their teacher with their presented work. "I've… haven't been honest with all of you," she said and picks up her empty Elixir vial. "When I was younger… I was cursed, I don't know how, but if I don't take my Elixir… heh… that's why they call me the Owl Lady for a reason."
"Hmm," Chris hummed as he adjusted his glasses. "And you've been on the run while trying to not go wild?"
"Yup," she said looking down. "Nobody wants a cursed person like me… that's why I live like this, digging trash, selling, making sure I don't go crazy like… earlier…" she said, then she perked herself back to her normal self. "But hey, look at you three, the first human Seekers doing magic, good on you kids."
"HOOT! HOOT!?" the voice of Hooty the owl door screams from the downstairs. "Is one there!? Hello? The floor is cold!"
"That voice." King groans in pain as he waddles to Hooty. "That horrific voice!"
"Well… you helped us." Beat said picking up the Holotome to show the symbol. "Your circle showed this symbol, now we have a long list of Spells to try out."
"Really?" Eda was surprised at what her lesson had transpired.
"Yeah, the light glyph gave us some arsenal of seeker spells." Beat said, smiling and placing his hands on his hips.
"Just get some rest Eda," Chris said smiling. "We'll be teaching King how to use his Titan, and what not to use it for trivial matters."
"Good luck." said the Owl Lady as the now four seekers left her room. She went to her nest and went to sleep, she then started to dream as she is in a flat plan and in front of her is a door. "Not this dream again." it opened to show a silhouette of a mysterious person with white eyes. "... you! You're the one who cursed me aren't you? Who are you? Who are you?" then she wakes up from that nightmare.

Luz is putting bandages on Hooty's scratch marks. "Welcome to the boo boo buddy club hooty."
"Finally I get to be a part of something!" he said happily.
As Beat and Chris began mending the furniture, King and the Snaggleback were talking on the couch to discuss what happened tonight.
"And then she had teeth in her stomach." The Snaggleback tries his best to describe his experience. "Teeth, in her stomach! Can you believe that?"
King nodded, wagging his tail in delight as he scribbled what the demon said. "Oh yeah," he said and revealed the picture describing Eda's demon form. "This will make a great addition to my demon book."
"That book is filled with interesting things," pulled out one of them and showed him the exaggerated picture. "Like this, i'm one of the strongest demons on the Boiling Isles, huh?"
"..." King's excitement has turned into brutal honesty. "Yeah… that book needs an update."
"... Oh," he felt down. "Well what am I going to do with this then?" he pulls out another ring like the one Luz has but it has a green gem.
"Wait…" King looks close at it. "Is that… an amulet?! Where did you get that?!"
"I don't know, found it on the ground during the Rains." the Snaggleback said placing it on the couch. "And any of you guys want it, I'm fine with it."
"Yes!" King cheered happily. "Hey Chris, Does Luz have a Ring Amulet on her?"
"Yeah, it should…" Chris looked at the second ring amulet in King's paw… "Well… this changes everything."
Beat turns to see the green ring Amulet. "Hey it's like Luz's ring."
Luz ponders, another ring Amulet… wait… "But the gem is different from mine… kind of like… the Hoplite's colors."
"Krono Titan then…"
Silence had filled the room. But one step at a time is needed for the world is about to change a new heading.
