Dragonball Z: The Catalyst

Act III:

Chapter 37: Fragments

Humiliated.

This was the one word that rolled through Raditz's mind as he looked at the Saiyan Prince, standing there holding his broken arm, and scowling. It was not Vegeta's humiliation he thought of however, but his own. He'd knelt before Vegeta and pledged loyalty, he'd done everything to get him to spare Gohan, and he still refused.

Worse, now he wasn't permitted to finish off the Prince, by his own brother no less.

"He tried to kill the boy," Raditz spat angrily at Turles, stepping forward, his hands ready for blood. "He would have killed us as well! You can't be serious!"

The words didn't have any affect on Turles's features, who just stared back indifferently. The man who had just resoundingly defeated Vegeta, as if it were no contest, had not finished him, and instead now protected him even. Well, 'protected' was a strong word, but he was certainly now the main obstacle to his death.

"I told you, Raditz. Vegeta has a role to play, and you will not kill him, and neither will the boy or the Namek. In fact, Raditz, as of right now he has a bigger role to play than you. Do not make me pick, brother."

There was a moment of quiet shock for Raditz. What the Hell was running through Turles's mind right now?

He's siding with Vegeta? Why?

Turning from him with an annoyed sound, Turles began to walk towards Vegeta again. What the Hell had the world come to? And what the Hell had gotten into Turles?

Turning his own attention towards Gohan and the others, Raditz still felt burning shame. It was another humiliation to add to the pile, another shame he would need to swallow. The universe seemingly conspired against him to deny him his revenge. This time, just as Vegeta was exposed and weak, he would be denied by his own brother, who even threatened him in response.

Patience, there will be more opportunities later.

Quietly, Raditz tried to assure himself.

()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()

The boy was alive, and the only one harmed at the moment was the rather furious Vegeta. To Turles this was easily enough, not because of any particularly deep sense of mercy, but for the simple fact that Cooler was still out there. As it stood, Kakarot was dead, which meant that if this other giant power decided to show itself, only he and Vegeta would have any chance of harming Cooler reasonably. So why kill Vegeta now? It was practical to keep him alive, so long as he could be kept in line. That meant of course, demonstrating that he wasn't the strongest being in the universe.

That also meant keeping information about why he was alive, at the most minimum. If he informed him about Cooler outright, the response could be too unpredictable. Vegeta would either act out of fear, or anger. In fear he likely would try to escape everything around him to cower amongst the stars. The more likely response would be anger, and making an attempt to find Cooler. This was also unacceptable given that both of them together couldn't fight Frieza at the moment, and for the time being he presumed Cooler was a being of comparable power.

Stopping in front of Vegeta, Turles crossed his arms.

"Your arm will get fixed when we get to the building the human woman Bulma owns, apparently it is a massive research complex."

The critical glare he received in response made him smirk.

"Be grateful I didn't finish you Vegeta, think of it as the last dying loyalties I have to the crown," Turles lied.

"I will surpass you, just as I will Kakarot. I will be a Super Saiyan, Turles, and once I am, you are going to pay for this insult."

Well, at least he had the right attitude, for the moment. The main thing to make sure of course was that he maintained his competitive edge over Vegeta, and obtained what Kakarot had on Namek only hours ago. If Kakarot was a Super Saiyan, his twin, there was no reason why he could not. If he played his hand well, not only would he be a Super Saiyan, but it would be him that came to rule over the universe itself.

Bardock's prediction had come true, Kakarot did defeat Frieza.

But of what value was that, compared to power over the known universe?

()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()

One Hour Later, Capsule Corporation:

Humiliation wasn't only familiar to Raditz now.

The entire trip to this Capsule Corporation had been a humiliation, making him intimately more acquainted with it. The glares everyone gave him were of course, filled with justified contempt. Vegeta was hardly at the top of his game with his right arm limply hanging at his side.

Just as he'd expected to have a new level of power, just as he'd become the most powerful being in the universe, it was all stripped away in a few short minutes by Kakarot's brother. The Prince of All Saiyans once again at the mercy of a third class warrior. It was disgusting and shameful. It'd been impossible to believe even. Now even worse, he'd been shown mercy once again, and this time by someone he'd come to know never provided mercy for anyone. Which meant Turles needed him alive for something.

How had his position improved? He'd been used to save a human from Turles, with the false problem of eternal life. Then he had been mocked and defeated by Frieza, someone he'd resisted his entire life. Finally, he'd been left to be nothing but a witness to Kakarot challenging Frieza, before Frieza killed him. Now? He'd been brought back from the dead, only to be humiliated by another one of these third class idiots. His humiliation couldn't be worse.

Looking up, Vegeta realized the only one near him was the blue haired woman, who looked mad and had her arms crossed.

Well, at least she'd not screamed like the majority of encounters they'd had. Right now the Prince just wanted to be left alone.

"Gohan didn't do anything to warrant what you did back there," Bulma said, idly looking up at the top of the craft they travelled in. "Are you completely crazy?"

Several seconds passed before Vegeta realized he was the target of the woman's enquiry. Turning his head, Vegeta regarded her for a moment, looking at him with sincere eyes. The woman he'd rescued from Turles. With a half smirk, he looked towards her. These humans were so quick to judge superior cultures to their own. The boy had to be brought to heal, and Raditz had needed to be reminded as to who held the real power amongst them. That had meant another demonstration. To tell this human woman why such acts were necessary was pointless, and would yield a worse result than saying nothing at all.

These people were too soft to fully understand what it was to be a Saiyan.

"You wouldn't understand. We are amongst the last of our kind, what you saw was a matter of honour."

"Where is the honour in killing a six year old boy, Vegeta?" the woman demanded.

So now she was trying to bring up the fact that it was a child who was his intended target? Clearly, she was placing a moral vision on him that was not fitting to any Planet Trade soldier, or Saiyan for that matter. Bluntly, if the boy had died to prove a point to Raditz, then it was well worth it. He hardly saw the issue anyway, these fools would just use their precious Dragon Balls to wish him back.

Vegeta knew full well the only reason he lived was because Turles required him for some purpose. It was interesting that he'd saved this woman from Turles not long ago, and now it could be argued this woman was saved from him by the very monster she still feared. Though she'd not been a direct target of his attack, Vegeta had little doubt he probably would have killed more than just the boy if things had continued as they had. Perhaps Turles was why she was on this side of the craft? Clearly, she was less worried about him, then about her previous attacker, despite his supposedly 'good' actions taken only a few minutes prior.

Looking over to Turles, who was situated near Gohan and Raditz, he couldn't help but internally snicker. The third classes all sitting together, as they should be. He would surpass Turles, and then kill him, before moving on to Kakarot.

"Hey, are you listening to me?"

Ugh, the woman actually expected him to answer?

"I already told you, you wouldn't understand. But I will point out that we Saiyans are not bound by the same moral code as you Earthlings are. Raditz alone has killed more children than there are people on Earth, and I suggest you remember that," Vegeta pointed out bluntly, and honestly. "We are a warrior race, and will do as any warriors must for their honour, and their status."

Perhaps that would shut her up at least.

"What a terrible way to look at the world," she responded, sounding more disappointed than anything. "No wonder none of you are happy."

There was a brief moment where Vegeta looked at the woman with a surprised glance, both his eyes opening wide. Within a second of that however, his eyes just averted, his face scowling.

It was impossible to find a rebuttal with words, because he had none to defend himself with.

()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()

Capsule Corporation:

It was good to finally be home. Feet pounded against the soil below her as she ran towards the large yellow building for a moment, a bright smile across her face.

After years of travelling around the world with Goku and their friends, Bulma never thought she'd be so relieved to be home in her life. The entire flight back had been uncomfortable. She had two options, sit near Vegeta, or sit near Turles. The former had threatened her, the latter one had done much more than that. It was strange, but she actually felt bad for Vegeta by the end of the flight. It wasn't hard to see how miserable he was, or any of the other Saiyans. The real Saiyans that was, not Gohan.

But even Gohan seemed bummed out however, but she was willing to put that on the beating Vegeta gave him. What the Hell had gotten into all these people? No one was acting rationally. Vegeta saved her on Namek, then threatened her irrationally and tried to kill Gohan. Turles tried to rape her and broke her wrist, and then saved Gohan from Vegeta. Raditz came to Earth trying to kill everyone and now was watching over Gohan like a protective statue. Piccolo tried to take over the world and kill Goku and he was watching over Gohan as well! Just what the Hell was happening here?

Blinking as she turned back to the ship, eyeing the three warriors walking off the transport, Gohan a short distance from them.

Outside of Vegeta, the common point of all their changes seemed to be Gohan. It would be crazy to think that they had all changed, even if only a little bit, for the sake of a kid. How ridiculous would that be?

The last figure to exit the craft was Vegeta, still holding his broken arm. Sighing, Bulma knew somehow that she'd end up having to help him get that into a sling. Especially considering she didn't think little Dende held much interest in helping Vegeta. Hell, she didn't hold much interest in helping Vegeta, but she doubted anyone else would.

And despite the fact he'd threatened her before, she still owed him, even if only by accident, for saving her from Turles.

"Everyone stay outside. My dad will be by in a minute with arrangements for our guests," Bulma said pleasantly, before turning a menacing eye towards Vegeta.

"You," Bulma said, pointing her finger at Vegeta. "Let's go over to the medical wing, we'll get that arm taken care of."

Four other transports landed near the other, each bearing the Capsule Corporation logo. The Namekians had arrived as well. It'd been very nice of her father to agree to pick everyone up.

The Prince however, in the midst of the engine noises, seemed to scowl at her order, looking away and muttering something under his breath.

So he's going to be like that huh?

"Hey, vegetable head! I guess you just want to walk around with that arm dangling around huh!? Well some people don't want to look at it! Now you act like a civilized guest and let us take a look at it, or you can ship out of here right now mister!"

Everyone blinked in shock at the outburst.

Did I really just say all that? Oh god, he's going to kill me, I'm an idiot. It's alright Bulma, just keep calm, and keep up the brave face, and hope he doesn't call the bluff and-

The scowling Saiyan walked forward, his teeth grit as he glared down at her. Keeping herself composed, at least on the outside, Bulma glared right back. Quietly her thoughts were still running at a thousand miles a minute.

"Vegeta," Piccolo said in a warning tone, but it was clear the Saiyan was ignoring it.

Stopping in front of her, Vegeta just stood there, his hand still holding his arm as his black eyes glared into hers.

"Are you going to glare all day, or are you going to follow me to the medical wing and act like a responsible adult? What're you trying to prove to have that thing not looked after? You know what? No, you're going into that medical wing Vegeta, or you can leave right now."

The stand off was very intense, she could have sworn the tension was thick enough to cut in the air. Quietly, she felt she may have overplayed her hand, but at least she knew Piccolo, Raditz, and Gohan were there.

Finally however, his eye wincing for a moment, Vegeta looked off to the side.

"Fine, take me to this inferior medical wing of yours. I suppose I can stomach some of this planet's primitive medicine," Vegeta said, almost scornfully.

Surprise, that was what Bulma was trying to contain, it didn't work either. Her eyes bulged at her victory and her jaw dropped. Did she just win and get Vegeta to do something. To say she was shocked had become an understatement, she was completely blown away. The feeling stopped however, when Vegeta's eyes narrowed on her a moment later.

"Are you going to continue gawking, or are you going to take me to the blasted medical wing!?"

Immediately her own face tightened up, back to a serious one. She tossed her head back and lifted her nose, before making a 'hmph' sound. Turning on the spot, she began walking inside, expecting Vegeta to follow. It wasn't long before she heard his footsteps following.

Maybe these Saiyans aren't so hard to deal with after all.

()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()

I knewit.

A grin currently resided on Turles's face, his eyes following after Vegeta and Bulma. Just as he thought, he knew Vegeta placed value in the blue haired woman. Vindication was always a pleasant surprise, considering when Vegeta intervened in his own encounter with the blue haired woman, Turles had presumed it was because Vegeta wanted her for himself. There was certainly enough ques now to give it away. One of the major factors was of course that Vegeta actually took orders from her. The next was his body language. Finally however, there was the clear power play, each was feeding off the reactions of the other. That was how that woman Bulma had the confidence to stand up to Vegeta, even if she didn't know it.

A low chuckle escaped Turles's lips as he watched the two disappear into the building.

"What's so funny?" Raditz asked, turning his head towards him.

"I suspect Vegeta will probably want more than medical attention from the blue haired harpy," Turles responded, before noting the look Gohan was giving him.

"What else more could he want? Is she going to give him something to eat too?" Gohan asked innocently.

The damn broke, Turles felt himself burst out into laughter. The disparaging looks Turles received from Raditz and Piccolo were easily ignored while he had his fun. This kid was priceless, truly priceless. Of course it was also easy enough to ignore the glares of Raditz and Piccolo, because those two were truly weak compared to himself. As his laughter died, Turles let a snide smirk appear across his features.

"No one can wonder why I bailed this kid out back there," Turles said with a chuckle. "Well Gohan, it's very simple. Clearly you don't entirely get what's going on. You see kid, I was implying that I think Vegeta wants to embrace some adult impulses and fu-"

Suddenly there was a harsh elbow to the rib from the Namekian, making him wince.

"You really don't have a shred of decency do you? He's six years old, and it's a little soon to be going over that kind of thing, especially with your clearly tainted vision of it," Piccolo said bluntly, staring at Turles defiantly.

Rolling his eyes obnoxiously, Turles receded from commenting on what he thought Vegeta's intent was, but did give a slick smile towards Piccolo and Raditz, who were both obviously irritated by him providing Gohan with some 'education' on his perception of the events happening.

"I don't get it," Gohan finally said, looking between the three adults.

"Trust us," Raditz said with a glare still isolated on Turles. "It's more of a headache if you do. I'd like to live more than ten minutes by the time that mother of yours shows up."

Was there a genuine sense of fear coming from Raditz? Raditz, the man who'd let worlds fall to ruin before his wrath? Raditz, eldest son of Bardock, a Saiyan who had faced Frieza himself on Planet Namek? This intrigued Turles to no end, as the boy had before expressed a real sense of want to see the woman. Was she powerful? Was that why Raditz seemed to almost fear her anger?

Perhaps that could help explain why his nephew was such a formidable warrior? At Gohan's age, his power level would have been lucky to be 100, perhaps 120. Gohan by contrast was strong enough to fight Frieza, and harm Vegeta even after his return to life. It was hard to quantify power levels in numbers anymore without a scouter, and with his power sensing abilities not being centred around numerical interpretations of power. Right now however, Turles would guess Gohan's power level when he really got moving, was in excess of 1,200,000. Which meant he was almost ten thousand times stronger than he'd been at the same age.

What the Hell kind of power would he have when he was fully grown?

Kakarot was easily too foolish, naive, and stupid to realize what an honour it was to have a son this powerful. Perhaps when he prepared to leave this planet, he'd take Gohan with him, there was no sense in his talents going to waste living on this peaceful rock after all. In some ways, it almost made it even more of a crime Vegeta would have tried to kill the boy. This boy was the future of the Saiyan race, and was nearly snuffed out because of Vegeta's vendetta with Raditz he suspected.

Short sighted fool.

Say what anyone would about him, the fate of the shattered remnants of their people, as a whole, mattered to him. They had once been a proud, fierce, feared warrior race. Now they were three warriors and a boy, that was it.

"Gohan!" a voice shouted out, which was clearly female in origin.

Turning his head slowly towards it, not recognizing it as belonging to the harpy Bulma, Turles felt himself freeze in place. He tried to assess if it was a friend or foe on their way. Within a heartbeat he'd determined whoever this was, was certainly not foe. There was a woman running towards them, her hair pulled up and wearing much different clothing than the other human female he'd had the privilege to encounter.

When the woman stopped in front of Gohan, falling to her knees and hugging him desperately, and the boy hugged back, Turles presumed this was the mother who Gohan had referenced. It was a strange sight to see, and there was no point of empathy for him to relate to. The boy clutched into the woman and almost began to shake. The soft sound of crying slowly emerged from the two, and Turles could tell within a second that it was coming from both of them.

Saiyan warriors shouldn't cry, it caused him to wince briefly and look down with a hard glance at the two of them.

"It's okay Gohan, I'm so sorry I let you go, it won't happen again," the woman whispered, before planting a kiss in her son's hair.

That was going to be a problem to his plans. Crossing his arms, he just raised a brow, waiting for the scene to end. In a moment he was just going to tell this human woman how it was, and then from there he could begin his own plans for dealing with... problems.

When the sobs slowly stopped, Chi-Chi pulled back from her son, holding his shoulders.

"We'll get home and I'll make you a big meal, and then you can do whatever you want for the rest of the day, I'm just so happy that you are alive."

There was a moment where Turles wanted to chime. It wasn't always the case that Gohan had been alive, he'd died along with the others. What restrained the comment was the same that had caused him to save the boy in the first place. It was awkward to admit, but he appreciated the brief moment of compassion the child had showed him.

When the woman stood up and stared at him, she seemed to brighten up for a moment, her eyes were still red from tears, but she smiled brilliantly at him. Unfolding his arms, Turles blinked in confusion a moment later. Why was this woman smiling at him? There was no way she could know by now that he'd saved Gohan, so why was she looking at him like she knew him? Not that he was complaining. Almost instinctively, he reciprocated the smile.

Before he could get any words in, Raditz stepped in.

"Woman, there are things we need to discuss-" Raditz's words were cut short.

"Like the fact that none of Gohan's homework was done was it? I never should have trusted you to take care of him while he was in space! My poor son was all alone up there wasn't he?"

It was clear that Raditz became openly frustrated.

"You know what? I give up. How Kakarot deals with your foolish madness I'll never know," Raditz snapped. "I was just going to explain-"

"Excuse me?" Chi-Chi asked in a deadly tone, immediately causing the large Saiyan, and even the Namek to step back. "You know who has to do some explaining?! The ones who abduct my son and think that they have any right to call me crazy or foolish!?"

"Don't look at me," Piccolo immediately said. "I didn't say anything."

"But you thought it! Don't think I don't have my eye on you as well, Piccolo."

The woman's anger rose like a violent storm, immediately cowing Raditz and Piccolo into submissive body language. It was astonishing for Turles to watch, for a moment his eyes widened with wild amusement, feeling his smile creep further wide with amusement. Turning his head back towards this blatantly insane woman, Turles finally prepared to introduce himself when he felt her wrap her arms around him with force.

Blinking in shock, Turles stood there as this crazy, strange, and attractive creature hugged him.

Well, this doesn't happen every day. No complaints here.

Looking down for a moment, Turles saw and felt her bury her head in his chest.

"I was so worried you weren't going to come home to me," the woman finally said, struggling to contain tears she'd shed just moments ago with her son. "But you came back, just like you said you would. I was so afraid when you left without even talking to me about it. We can just go home now and everything can get back to normal. I love you so much Goku."

There was a moment of real... jealousy on behalf of Turles. This was the welcome Kakarot got when he returned home the valiant champion? Suddenly, most spoils of victory seemed rather hollow compared to this strange cocktail of emotion. There wasn't anything similar, again, for him to compare it to in his own life. Certainly, his victims had acted this way before, but there was always a detached sense to it, there was no connection. It felt strange.

But that feeling had the added misery of the fact that this welcome wasn't for him, it was for Kakarot. The fact she'd thought him his brother was insulting enough.

"Mom," Gohan finally said. "I don't think you want to do that. Uhm, that's not dad."

Looking down, Turles felt the body which had been holding him freeze in almost terror. Slowly, her head looked up towards him with a pale, embarrassed and worried face. She obviously felt embarrassed for thinking that he was her husband. Likely, she was already thinking about where he could be as well.

"As I was trying to explain before, Chi-Chi, before you decided that the Namek and I were ruthless monsters intent on interfering in your personal life, this is not Kakarot. This would in fact be my brother, Goku's twin brother," Raditz explained, sounding amused.

Unable to help it, Turles smiled down at the embarrassed woman.

"My name is Turles," he said, his voice wrapped with amusement.

As soon as the words left his mouth he could see the horrific realization hit her, his voice was quite different from Kakarot's, having grown up in a different environment with a much different language than basic as his main means of communication. His voice was slightly deeper for one.

Immediately the arms withdrew as she almost jumped back.

"Oh! Oh I'm so sorry! This is so awkward. Please, my apologies. I didn't mean- I wasn't- I didn't have any-"

There were several other failed starts to her trying to explain herself, making Turles smile even further when she just stammered at the end of all of it.

"Why be sorry? I know I had plenty of fun," Turles responded, his smile creeping up ever more.

Near Chi-Chi, Turles saw Raditz move the palm of his hand to his face, and just look dismal. Looking back towards Kakarot's wife, he noticed she looked rather... angry.

No matter, her power level is nothing compared to mine.

()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()

Stepping back with widened eyes, Raditz moved aside as Turles hit the ground ass first with a mighty thud. The younger Saiyan was holding his nose, his eyes widened with shock. Raditz was shocked himself when he realized Turles was bleeding from his nose. Then a large grin suddenly appeared across the elder brother's face.

Turles, the mightiest warrior alive as far as they knew, just got taken by surprise by an Earthling. Better yet, an Earthling woman. A laugh escaped his throat a moment later, crossing his arms.

"Oh, that looked dignified."

Anger suddenly made itself apparent on his younger brother's face when he stood up.

"That was your last mistake, you-" Turles snapped, only to be cut off by Piccolo of all people, clearing his throat.

"You aren't exactly a Super Saiyan. You may be the strongest one here, but I'm willing to bet that you have no way off this planet right now. Then that is compounded by the fact that you likely want to gain more power to become a Super Saiyan. Well you aren't going to get that far with an attitude like that," Piccolo said frankly.

Much to Raditz's amusement, Turles seemed to freeze in place, before staring at Chi-Chi, almost immediately rebounding from his anger back to an arrogant smile. To Raditz it was like watching someone take on a new form. It was easy enough to see Turles was masking his real intentions now with a false outward appearance. This was his brother, and one of the strongest beings alive, but to say he trusted Turles unquestioningly would be foolish. Right now, he knew for a fact that Turles was very, very dangerous.

So now the question was simple. What next?

They had Nameks here, Vegeta, Turles, Frieza was dead, and Kakarot was likely dead right next to him. Then there were the Dragon Balls themselves of course, both this worlds and the other's. The Dragon Balls... They were certainly something he could use. Even if he was denied his rightful prize on Namek, he would not be denied here. The best way to take care of it, was silently. Looking at Turles, then the Namek, Raditz began to already try and reason where things were going to go from here.

There were too many factors to take into account, and he knew Turles was trying to keep his own fingers on the pulse of this place.

If everything went his way, Raditz was sure this could go very well.

Not only would he get his revenge on Vegeta, he would also take this as an opportunity to resurrect Colonel Violet.

A/N: So there it is.

We've got Vegeta, Turles, and Raditz all soon to make moves on the supposedly post-Goku, Post-Frieza world. Right now it looks like everyone is going to play ball. But will they?

Next chapter is a really fun concept for me, which leads to a chapter which has been written for months, which I've revamped repeatedly. It's one of my favourites. However, we're still a few chapters away from there.

But in our next Chapter, we get to see some familiar figures which everyone has been asking for.

Chapter 38: The Catalyst

As with any chapter named such, that means its all about our good friends the Catalysts.

December's updates may be a bit spotty, as I am working a LOT over December, so I can't guarantee my normal updates. I'm letting everyone know in advance.

Now then, onto the Reviewers!

Reviewers:

aoj95: Go Banana! XD

fightingchampion: Yea, Turles vs. Vegeta had to happen for several reasons. Raditz and Vegeta also clearly cause a lot of friction between one another as well. Its not exactly a recipe for success -.-

tomorrow4eva: Yea, Turles, despite saving Gohan, is not exactly a nice character. Agreeing with him is probably wise XD

super mystic gohan: This chapter has a lot of long term consequences. It really sets the stage for events up to 20 chapters from now...

Perfect Carnage: Expect some less one sided engagements to appear soon enough, as there are some pretty even battles coming. I won't spoil which ones, but I can think of four off hand that are coming up. Expect things to begin to ramp up as the timeline gets further screwed up :)

ChrisFragger: Things on Earth are going to get pretty serious in the next chapter that's not Catalyst centred I'm sure.

AlphaShennron: I dunno about that. But you mention Turles vs. Goku? Well, that'd neverhappen. Right? :P

DaOneInDaCorner: Outside of December, expect 2 updates per month. I can't make promises for December sadly :(

Jason9000: I've always tried to stick with King Cold, or Cooler being 'secrets' that Frieza tries to keep from his organization.

XxxPossessedforlifexxx: Thanks! :)

Ness Frost: It was hugely satisfying finally giving Vegeta a bit of what he deserves for what he and Nappa did to Violet. Though funnily enough, I don't count what Frieza did to him as redemption for that XP

LILFOC: Just wait, you wanna see Chaos and Anarchy? When things go badly over the next 20 chapters, you'll be amazed by just how chaotic things can become ;)

Cosmic Cannon: Turles has grown as a character, just as Raditz has, and everyone else the story has focused on. No one is just black and white good or bad. I hope that even the villains, within reason, will show different aspects of themselves. And lots of big moments are coming up. The next 20 chapters are a huge part of the story. Big moments for all major characters.

Dark Impaler: Thanks for the review. And I never thought of the Eternal Dragon as Eternal. He dies when Kami or Dende dies XD

Demod20: Vegeta wanted to punish Raditz for his disobedience, and show him the folly of his ways, the same way he did on Earth before. Sadly, Vegeta clearly didn't learn very much from that encounter -.-

MattP: I am sincerely humbled by your post. It made my day when you gave me that review, it really made a lot of the work I've put into this story seem worth it. :)

Gogglegirl: Don't worry, if we make it to the Buu Saga, things will be very, very different :P

Saiyan God Vegeta: I dunno. And if I told you what pairings you'd be disappointed. Oh alright, I'll spoil one of them.

Vegeta/Krillin.

:P

Peter1398: There have been a few small clues. Characters are complicated, and have complicated reactions to different situations, and their positions change. This can happen to all of them. Any character with the chance to be ruthless, and enough hatred in his heart, can do terrible things. But there is always still something that can drive them towards doing the right thing as well.

This world ain't gonna be black and white :P

Coldblue: Thanks as always. I always do your review responses last and I totally spaced about this one. Sorry, this has been added after the fact.

I can't answer questions like these ones, as they spoil the story for everyone. Sorry. But what I can say definitively, is Tarble is not a strong warrior in the series, don't expect that to be dramatically different in this story. There is more to a character then their fighting value.
