I'm still with this story I promise, working five days makes me not write much which stinks, because I love these stories I write. What's to come next, enjoy this chapter. Reviews help keep my muse alive. Thanks :)

Jane groaned as the ringing of her alarm on her phone woke her up the next morning. She didn't even recall setting an alarm, she must have set it before and forgot that she did so. She moved to shut it off before realizing that she was in bed alone, underneath the covers and definitely naked. She smiled to herself, remembering last night, it was a great feeling, being with Maura. It was different from the first time they had sex, all in good ways.

Jane got out of bed and went to go put on her clothes, chuckling at how fast Maura had gotten her clothes off in their intimate embrace the previous night. Maura was definitely the one in control surprisingly enough to the dark haired Detective. The way their bodies moved together, hands roaming against said bodies, and the things Maura could do with her mouth. Jane was in awe and totally turned on thinking about it right now. It was amazing how much passion they shared with each other, and how natural it all seemed to fit.

Jane was in her thoughts she didn't notice how Maura was leaning against the doorframe observing her. "Good morning Jane."

Jane jumped slightly before smiling, taking in her friend's appearance or whatever they were to each other now. "Good morning, so were you the one who set my alarm?"

"Perhaps," Maura smiled supporting a cup of tea. "I went down to make you some coffee. I set your phone for the perfect time, right when your mother left."

"Ah," Jane stepped closer to Maura. "So we don't have to worry about running into her downstairs when I get my coffee and avoid any of her questions she would be bound to ask."

"Like why you didn't sleep on the couch like your used to? Or what was all that noise I heard last night?" Maura grinned and Jane gave her head a shake.

"We weren't loud Maura. Well not that loud. So coffee you say," Jane felt her cheeks flush as she slipped past Maura.

"Yes, not the 'panda poop' kind either, since I know you prefer to not have that."

"So very thoughtful of you," the brunette went downstairs, Maura took a moment before heading down as well. She was delighted that things didn't feel awkward, that Jane didn't leave in the middle of the night like she kind of feared. Jane stayed and it meant a lot to Maura. "So what are your plans for today? I know it's usually your day off."

"Honestly there's nothing really I had planned."

"Well I'm on call today, which reminds me, I should go home this morning and get a change of clothes and feed Jo Friday," Jane listed off as she poured herself a mug of coffee.

"Maybe I could come with you and I can help, maybe walk Jo for you."

"I'm sure she'd like that. We can go in a bit," Jane took a sip of her coffee. "Mm this is delicious. The joys of coffee in the morning."

Maura smiled, "I like seeing you in a good mood Jane, it's really refreshing with how down you've seemed to be lately."

"Well I sort of have something to look forward to now," Jane shrugged.

Soon Jane was finished and they headed over to her apartment. Jo Friday rushed over to greet the two woman, more excited to see Maura. Maura knelt down to pet Jo's head before looking at the appearance of Jane's apartment, she didn't realize how much of a mess it was.

"Jane, I hate to be rude, but your apartment is very messy and it's quite concerning. It's also concerning how I didn't realize this the last time I was over," Maura went to go organize the newspapers on Jane's coffee table.

"Well your mind wasn't really focused on my apartment, remember?" Jane shook her head, getting Jo's leash handing it to Maura, "I'm going to change and then we can take her on a walk, you can feed her before I get done. You remember how much right?"

"Of course I remember Jane," Maura smiled and Jane gave her messy apartment a look over, shrugging before going into her bedroom to change.

Maura went to go pour Jo Friday her food, she knelt down next to her, "I think I'm going to stay over today with you Jo Friday, if that's alright with you. I'll make sure the apartment gets nice and organized so you might like it better," she stood up taking notice of the dishes in the sink and pan on the oven with egg stains. Maura sighed, thinking to herself, how Jane might actually be depressed and she probably hasn't fully coped with the lost of Barry Frost and the loss of her baby. Sometimes she often forgot how Jane was pregnant at one point, how they made plans to take care of the baby together with Casey not in the picture. Then she met Jack and things changed, a lot did much to the dismay of Maura, but luckily there was probably a small glimmer of hope for Jane at a time like this now with Jack out of the picture, a glimpse of hope for the both of them as more than best friends, but partners.

Jane came out of her bedroom, dressed in work clothes, "Uh, change of plans Maur, I have a crime scene to get to. You will have to walk Jo Friday without me."

Maura nodded, "Alright, and I still have your spare key to lock up when I'm done here."

"Thanks, you're the best you know," Jane quickly kissed Maura's cheek before she was out the door. Maura sighed, finished watching Jo eat her breakfast.

"Come on girl, we got a walk to get on before I come back to fix things up around here," she attached Jo's leash to her collar.

Jane has a really rough case at work, all she wanted to do was go home, crack open a beer and then give Maura a call saying she wouldn't be over tonight. When she got back to her place she noticed Maura's car still parked by the curb. "She stayed the whole day, didn't she?" she talked to herself before pulling out her keys and opening the door, walking in. Jane seen Maura on her couch, holding a glass of wine, her eyes closed, breathing gently. Jane knew the woman was asleep so she decided to shower and get ready for bed.

Jane realized when she walked into her kitchen to grab a beer of how clean everything was. Maura shifted slightly on the couch, putting her glass of wine down on the coffee table. "Jane, are you home?"

"Yeah it's just me, I didn't expect to come home and still see you here."

"I do hope that it's alright, I was just about to leave when Korsak called to let me know about the rough case today, so I poured some wine to wait for you and I guess I fell asleep."

"Yeah, it's fine, just unexpected. I couldn't help but notice you cleaned my apartment," Jane plopped down on the couch next to Maura, stretching her legs, her sock covered feet on the table. "You didn't have to, you know. I was going to get to it eventually."

"Thought I would try to help, I know you're going through a lot currently and did I do too much?"

Jane shook her head, "No, they say it's the thought that counts, and you wanting to help means a lot," she sipped at her beer. "So, Korsak told you about the case, does that mean I don't have to talk about it?"

"If you don't want to, I am hear to listen. About absolutely anything."

"I think I'll just enjoy the company," Jane scooted over and rested her head on Maura's shoulder. "What would I ever do without you keeping my life together?" She closed her eyes, just enjoying the closeness with Maura. Jane didn't know how to even begin to discuss with Maura everything going on. Jane then thought of how she could let Maura know it all, she would get on her computer and type it up later. Taking a writing class with Maura definitely had it perks, sometimes speaking what's on her mind didn't come out right and it was easy to write things down. Maybe she could understand it all at the same time as well.
