Oh my goodness I feel so bad can't believe August was the last time I written for this story, it was sort of forgotten but I still have plots for this so there is a bunch more in store for this story, it kind of follows the timeline of season 6 and season 7 after the Rizzles vacation finishes up. I hope you enjoy this long overdue chapter.

After Maura and Jane had finally finished getting ready, they headed out to the car. Maura sat on the driver's side since she knew where they were headed.

"You're not going to tell me where we're going, are you?" Jane asked, being her impatient self.

"You will know when we get there, I do want to keep the element of surprise during this trip."

"The trip I planned on, if you recall correctly," Jane spoke, all in a teasing tone to let Maura know she wasn't exactly upset with her, plus if she was upset it'd ruin the whole plan of a relaxing trip with her lover and best friend.

"You may have planned this trip but you probably wouldn't enjoy the outside air as much, am I wrong?"

Jane shrugged, "Just a little bit, it wasn't my plan to lock myself away from the outside world for the whole weekend. Doing things alone does seem very mundane."

"Being alone doesn't have to be a bad thing, although it is better when you get to enjoy someone's company in a romantic type of aspect," Maura rested her hand on Jane's. "I don't want it to feel as though I'm taking over your plans."

"I just hope your element of surprise is worth it. And I'm alright with doing things you have in mind because all my ideas consist of you and I alone, exploring our relationship to a deeper level."

"Luckily we can explore our relationship even if we aren't alone. Although being alone with you is something I'd be willing to partake in most of this trip. It's all about deepening our bond and partnership," Maura smiled, lifting Jane's hand up to place a small kiss on the back of it.

The rest of the drive was spent in silence and quick glances shared with each other until they had gotten to their destination. A vineyard. Jane smirked at Maura, "Of course the place you'd think of involves wine."

"It's a tour of how wine is made, and at the end we get to enjoy some, and perhaps do some I Love Lucy grape stomping."

Jane looked at her partner, eyebrow raised, "You're willing to get down and dirty to stomp grapes? Now that I definitely have to witness. Can we do that first? I always wanted to reenact that scene, one of the best of television history."

"If you want to reenact that scene we may want to do that last considering how it ends."

"I wouldn't exactly plan to make a mess of things."

"You never plan of such things happening, they just do," Maura added with a smile.

"You may be onto something there Doctor Isles," she rested her hand on Maura's upper thigh. "Before we go in..." she paused.

"Yes Jane..." she looked between her partner and the hand on her thigh that slowly made it's way underneath Maura's dress. "We don't necessarily have time to... uh," she told her head back at Jane's gentle touch. "Okay five minutes."

"I think that's all the time I need," Jane slid her hand inside Maura's underwear, fingers gently playing with entrance. "You're so wet already."

"I wonder why," Maura responded in a very aroused tone causing Jane's eyes to darken looking at her partner with an immense amount of hunger. "Oh... fuck..." Maura cursed as Jane trusted two of her fingers inside of her, moving them with such gentleness, curling them with every other thrust.

"God you're so hot right now," Jane whispered in Maura's ear, her teeth nipping at her ear.

"Make me come Jane, please... I'm ready to come for you," she managed to get out in between breaths. Jane brushed the hair out of Maura's face and nodded.

"I love it when you come for me," Jane continued a little longer, her fingers inside Maura deeper than before, all the way to her knuckles it sent her over the edge. Maura tossed her head back as she released her orgasm quite loud. It pleased Jane so much that she could get the great and wonderful Maura Isles to do such things.

Jane let her partner catch her breath as she removed her fingers from Maura's core, she ran her tongue over her covered fingers, cleaning them of Maura. "Mm, you taste so good."

Maura nodded, she turned to glance at Jane. "I have a very well balanced diet."

Jane smirked, "You did tell me once that what you eat can sometimes change the way you taste, well you said it in a more scientific manner."

"Why do you think I stopped eating fish products once we started this little thing of ours."

"This little thing of ours, honey I think you mean relationship."

Maura nodded, "I wanted you to say it."

"What, that we're in a relationship?"

"Yes, I wanted to be absolutely sure this is what you want. You were all over the place the last couple of weeks just wanted to make sure this is what you still want. I might be asking you a few more times just to be sure."

Jane smiled leaning over to kiss her, "Maura Isles this is what I want... to be in a relationship with you, I don't think you've been properly asked to be my girlfriend though, I want to do it right."

"Ask me over a sunset or sunrise and then I'll accept your request."

"I can definitely do that, when does the sun set?"

Maura paused for a moment. "In seven hours."

"You don't make things easy, do you?" Jane cupped Maura's cheek, kissing her softly. "I'm glad I'm here with you."

"And I'm not going anywhere," Maura rested her hand over Jane's heart. "I'm yours for as long as you'll have me."

"Good because I'm not going nowhere."

"It's I'm not going anywhere, you're use of two negative contradicts your statement."

Jane smiled, "You know what I meant. Let's go enjoy the winery before we end up spending the whole time in the car."

"I'm not that aroused anymore Jane," Maura spoke in a light playful tone.

"Uh huh, I'm ready to get my wine on," Jane exited the car, a wide smile on her face, helping Maura out of the driver's side. Taking her friend's hand in hers as they walked towards the building. She wanted yo plan this huge thing of asking Maura to be her girlfriend, it was said before their trip started that they were in a relationship, but Jane felt as though it wasn't exactly official yet. Not until Maura was properly asked, and she was excited to plan the evening out, she wanted that moment to be absolutely special because Maura was special and deserved the absolute best from her romantic partner. There was no more confusion on Jane's behalf and she actually felt relieved.
