I had been quite occupied the end of April and beginning of May didn't start writing this until this week. I think you'll like it, because I enjoyed writing it, didn't take me more than two days. I'm proud of it, hope you think it was worth the wait. Thanks for the continuous support, it really means a lot to me.
"Can we go to my apartment instead of your place?" Jane asked Maura as they entered the Boston city limits.
"I figured you'd like to go to yours to drop your bag off first before heading over to my place..." Maura started to answer and Jane stopped her.
"I mean can we just stay at my apartment for today? I'd rather delay seeing Ma for one more day."
"Aah I see, you want to avoid your mother, for what reason exactly?"
"It's just that she'll ask questions, probably lots of them, that I don't want to answer right away."
"Jane I don't see why there's any reason for you to be afraid, your mother will accept who you are, what we mean to each other."
"Maura, it's not that I'm afraid, it's just that... I don't want to be bombarded with questions is all."
"Just be brief tell her you don't want to explain a lot, she might respect your wishes."
"You do remember how my mother is, don't you? How involved she likes to be."
"At least she always wants to be involved in your life, it might be overwhelming, but you must admit you never had any doubts about if she loved you or not. Fear that she feels better without you in her life."
Jane glanced at Maura who was looking at the road, tears in her eyes, "Hey... it's going to be alright, both of your mothers are more involved in your life, I know back then you felt abandoned and alone. Are you afraid they won't be accepting of your relationship with me? You know, we're always focusing on me and my family issues, yours matter too. I know you have doubts and insecurities that we can work through together. I want you to know that you can always talk to me about your feelings with your family situations or pretty much . If they make you feel like shit, I want to know. I don't want them judging you or denying you their love."
"I didn't mean to get emotional. My mothers are very different than yours, they are both more cold than warm, they're so focused on their own lives it's like I'm just... I just exist. I never feel like they appreciate me, not like your mother does. Angela is much different than my mothers, warm, comforting, involved. I know she drives you nuts sometimes but I get jealous of that."
"You get jealous that I have this overbearing mother?" Jane asked, eyebrow raised.
"At least she seems to care more than either of my mothers ever did. There's a lot to be jealous of when you grow up the way I did."
"So what you're saying is that I should appreciate my mother more?"
Maura nodded, "Exactly. Plus all this complaining you do probably hurts Angela more than you realize."
Jane ran her fingers through her dark hair, "I don't like hurting my mother, I hate seeing her hurt, almost as much as I hate seeing you hurt."
"If you don't want to go to my place today I do understand though. I would need to go back, there's quite a few things that I need to take care of. Would you be alright if I left you alone for a couple hours?"
"Yeah I'll be fine, but you would come back right?"
"Perhaps," Maura reached over to squeeze Jane's hand. "There is less chance of someone interrupting our alone time if I am at your place."
"I am quite addicted to our alone time."
Maura nodded her head in agreement, "Definitely, especially our time with no clothes on."
Jane leaned over to kiss Maura a moment since they were stopped at a light. "That is my most favorite time with you lately. Especially the orgasms."
"I do quite enjoy any orgasm you give me."
"I'll give you all the orgasms that you want."
"Promise?" Maura asked, shifting slightly in her seat as she started to drive again once the light changed to green.
"Oh that's definitely a promise that I could keep. As long as you return the favor."
"Trust me I will."
Jane leaned back in her seat, anxiously awaiting the arrival back to her apartment.
"I think three is enough for now," Maura tried to catch her breath, as soon as they had stepped foot into Jane's apartment clothes were shed and they only made it as far as the couch where Jane had gave it all she got. Maura also had given Jane two orgasms.
"Uh huh," she rested her head on Maura's chest. "You're so amazing, you know that?"
"So are you," Maura smirked, running her fingers through Jane's hair. "I do need to get going back to my place soon, although I'd hate to leave you."
"It's only for a little while right?" Jane asked with a slight pout, causing Maura to smirk even more.
"I don't think I ever seen you pout before, not like this. I think we both have this addiction to each other, one where we don't want to part."
"I think our weekend trip spoiled us just a little bit." Jane moved off of Maura's waist.
"Yeah maybe just a tad," Maura kissed the side of Jane's head. "I must get going though, I'll be back later unless you change your mind and want to come to my house."
"I'll think about it."
"Good girl," she removed herself from the couch and went to pick up her clothes scattered on the floor so she can put them on. Jane did the same, as soon as Maura was dressed Jane missed her nakedness already. She was about to lean in and give Jane a kiss, but there was a knock on her apartment door.
"Who on earth could that be, who knows we're here," Jane sighed, she went to go answer it and there appeared her brother Frankie, he looked sort of distraught. "Frankie, are you alright, how did you know we were back in town?"
"Ma let me know when you sent your text that you were heading back to Boston, I sort of had just been waiting outside across the street until I seen you and Maura. I know how you like to have some time to yourself after a road trip. You and Maura seemed to be in a rush to get inside, so I waited for a little while before coming upstairs. I sort of um... heard noises, but once they stopped I decided to knock."
Jane tossed a look back at Maura before turning back to her brother. "Oh, you heard that?"
"I'm not completely sure what it was that I heard, I was more focused on my problem. I didn't know who else to turn to."
"Well you can come in to talk about it, Maura and I were just finishing up."
Maura came to the door, "I was actually just leaving to head back home. I'll give you two some privacy."
"You don't have to go if you don't want to," Frankie shrugged, he wasn't too concerned about Maura listening in.
"I'm glad to be welcomed for the conversation, but I must be going. I'll see you both later," Maura gave Jane a look of concern, she hadn't seen Frankie act like this before. She leaned up to place a kiss to Jane's cheek, giving Frankie's shoulder a slight squeeze before disappearing down the hallway.
Jane let her brother into her apartment, closing the door behind him. "So, what is this all about Frankie?"
"Jane, I'm in trouble. My job is completely at stake here," he plopped down on the couch, leaning his head back against the cushion. "I was in pursuit of a suspect, we headed down into the subway station. It was quite crowded, I found the guy and he started to shoot at me, so doing what I'm supposed to do, I shoot back and I end up shooting him," he paused. "I-I killed him Janie, then Korsak heard so he rushed down and when I approached the body well... there was no gun in sight. Korsak told some officers to look for the gun... I seen the gun Jane but everyone believes that I... that I shot and killed a completely unarmed man. I never meant to kill anyone Jane."
Jane listened to her brother speak, he was in tears by the end of his run through of the story. "Frankie, I... I don't know what to say. I wish I could have been there, maybe I could be of some help then. I'm sure that Korsak and Nina and the others won't sleep until this all gets situated."
"Korsak doesn't believe me Jane."
"I'm sure that's not true. He can't be biased towards you with all of this going down. He needs the proof and evidence, not the word of what happened from you. Korsak is on your side, he just has to do the tough stuff first."
"I'm not a dirty cop Jane, I do everything by the book. This though, this could end my career, I was so close to being promoted to BRIC, everything had been going great for me, but now, now all of this and I just... Jane I can't lose everything I worked for," he sobbed against her shoulder as Jane pulled him close.
"Is there anything you want me to do Frankie? I just got home, but I'd be willing to go to the precinct and help Korsak and Holliday work everything out."
Frankie shook his head, "I didn't come tell you this for you to help, plus you kind of can't technically anyway because you're family. I just... I wanted to come to some place that I feel safe. I wanted you to know what was going on and honestly Jane, I can't go back home to my apartment, not when my neighbors believe that I'm a murderer."
Jane nodded, "You can stay here as long as you need, alright Frankie?"
"Thanks Jane, I-I really do owe you one."
"You don't owe me anything Frankie, honest."
Frankie sat there in silence being held by his sister a little while longer before he pulled away slightly. "So I take it that you and Maura had a nice time away from Boston?"
Jane turned to look at her brother, "You can say that, honestly part of me didn't want to come back, but with you going through your current situation I think I came back right on time."
"Too bad you couldn't have been back like six hours ago that's when this whole thing started. I feel bad for interrupting whatever you and Maura were doing in here. It sounded like I heard screaming... amongst other things..."
Frankie's words caused Jane's cheeks to flush, "You... heard that."
"Yeah, look I don't mean to embarrass you, that's why I didn't really mention what I heard while Maura was here. I didn't realize that you and Maura are well... you know... When did this start?"
Jane sighed, there was no point in hiding it from her brother, plus she wouldn't mind distracting him from the trouble he was in currently. "It started a while ago, I won't exactly tell you when because it wasn't the best time, but it got more... intense I guess you could say, on our vacation. We kind of couldn't get enough of each other."
Frankie smiled, "I see, well looks like Maura has moved up in Rizzolis, luckily for you the feelings aren't one sided."
"You are over whatever thing you had for Maura, right?" Jane eyed her brother.
"Of course I am over it Jane, have been for a while, plus I couldn't compete against you. You two have more chemistry than you've had with any of your guys' boyfriends, combined."
"You really think so?"
"Yeah, everyone can see it. I'm happy that you can be who you truly are, no more hiding from your truth."
"So you approve of me and Maura's relationship?"
Frankie nodded, "Oh most definitely. You deserve to be happy Jane and she is like the most perfect person for you," he gave her sister's knee a pat. "You weren't worried that I would not approve, would you?"
"I'd be more worried if you had a thing for her still, which I'm glad that you don't. Enough about me, what about your personal life."
Jane noticed her brother's cheeks flush lightly, "Nothing is going on, nothing that's worth talking about."
"Uh huh, and why don't I believe you?"
"I don't want to have to disappoint whoever I may or may not be seeing if my career and life goes completely south."
"You'll get through this Frankie, I'll be here for you every step of the way. And if whoever you may or may not be seeing doesn't stick by your side they aren't worth it."
"It would be a she, if there was such a person..."
"Well whoever you are into would be silly not to want you. You're a catch, in your own kind of way. If you need my help..."
"Let me stop you right there Jane, I don't need your help with my romantic life."
"Alright, but if you do need my help, I'll be here, even if you just want me to listen."
Frankie sighed, "Well thanks for the offer, but there's honestly no one to concern yourself over. I want coffee, do you want me to make you a cup too?"
"I would love a cup of coffee Frankie, thanks for asking," Jane smiled as her brother had gotten off the couch. Jane glanced over at Frankie who was in her kitchen putting coffee grounds into the filter. Jane had a feeling that Frankie really did have someone that he was interested in, she was quite curious, but she didn't want to become nosy like her mother. Not when she got upset at Angela for doing the exact same she just started to do. Frankie deserved to be happy, Jane really hoped that Frankie's career and life didn't get ruined by the incident that happened while she was gone.
Now we're getting to the part of the story the first chapters were leading into redo of season 6 of the show. I really had fun writing the Frankie/Jane sibling talk (this may be the first time they really talked in this story), poor Frankie is scared for his career, Jane is wanting to be as supportive as she can, in all aspects of Frankie's life. Rizzles of course I always love writing their scenes, I usually write them quite smoothly, the car conversation I did overnight. I would have wrote the sex scene of them on the couch, but it wasn't the main focus of this chapter. Plus you can leave it to your imagination. Let me know your thoughts, hopefully the next update won't be too far away.
