(A/N) I would like to thank everyone for the positive responses and follows and favorites for this story. I plan to continue this story and I fully intend to see it through to the end.
Now allow me to address a few questions I've received in the reviews.
The reason I'm using Raiden from my other story instead of the original Raiden from MGR is because of story purposes. This story takes place after Metal Ga Kill and there are several elements from that story that's going to play a major role in this story. I am aware of the fact that there are people who are reading this story who haven't read Metal Ga Kill. So my plan is to implement things and explain them without overwhelming everyone. I don't plan to have this story reference Metal Ga Kill too heavily but a few things from that story will have a major role in this story.
For why Commander White sent Raiden out despite him being the last human. Because Raiden's DNA and body has been heavily modified there is a part of her that isn't convinced that he's a human and is a highly advanced machine. But on the off chance that he is a human. The Commander basically gave Raiden and Jackass busy work until she is fully convinced he is a human. A matter which will be addressed in this chapter. Commander White sent a good number of YorHa androids to destroy the machines at the location Raiden and Jackass are going. So Raiden will not be at risk of being killed and he won't be too suspicious.
Chapter 2 New Developments
(YorHa Base)
The news of a human being discovered had spread quickly among the YorHa soldiers. There were many that wanted to meet the newly discovered human. While there are many others that are still amazed at the discovery. Among the ones who have heard the news of the newly discovered human are two particular androids. One of the androids is named 2B who is a female android while the other is name 9S who is a young male android. Once they were cleared for active duty. They proceeded to make their way to the command room to meet up with Commander White.
"2B, do you think the Commander will give us an assignment about the human?" 9S asked in a curious tone
"I don't know, right now Commander White is still trying to figure out what to do with the human. Since all of Yorha is in an uproar that a human has been found on earth and is not on the moon. Whether or not this means that there could mean there are more humans on earth is something I don't know. For now, we have to wait for Commander White to figure out what to do." 2B briefly explained to 9S before they entered the Command room.
Once both of the androids entered the command room. Everyone was busy on their various computers while some of them were talking among themselves. When the two listened in, they could hear the subject of their conversation. The subject of conversation was the human that was discovered on earth recently. Both 2B and 9S understood why the YorHa operatives were curious about the human and wondered what would happen now. While they were in thought, they each caught up to Commander White.
"Commander, you called for us?" 2B said to the commander
"I did, its no secret by now that a human has recently been discovered. Though what to do with him is still being discussed by the Council of Humanity. So until we get a proper response from the council on how to further proceed with this. We have to proceed with caution." Commander White told the two
"Um . .. . Commander, if this person really is a human. Wouldn't it be better if he was somewhere that he couldn't get hurt? I doubt the Council of Humanity will want to do anything that risks his life. Especially since the machines are still on earth." 9S told Commander White
"Your right, but the truth is that there is still too much we don't know about this individual and the situation. Though the analysis confirmed who he is. It also shows that his body has been heavily enhanced. The kind of enhancements that should be impossible for the humans to perform. Which leads me to believe that the machines have found a way to replicate humans. Though if it turns out that he is a human. The we have to respond accordingly with his safety being a number one priority." Commander White explained to 9S
"Where is the human right now?" 2B asked the commander
"Right now he's currently on a mission with Jackass from the resistance. I sent a squad of YorHa units ahead of their route to deal with the machines. As far as they know, their doing a simple recon. But the truth is that this is busy work for the both of them. So that we can keep an eye on him without Raiden getting suspicious and the Council can continue to discuss what to do with him." Commander White explained to the two
"Will our recent assignment involve this human Commander?" 2B asked the commander
"Indeed, both you and 9S are going to investigate the area where the human was first discovered. There might be a clue to where he came from and if there is a chance more humans could be discovered. Then we have to know for certain." Commander White told the two giving details of their next mission
(The Desert)
Both Raiden and Jackass has spent a little more than an hour traveling to the desert and so far there is a great deal of silence between the two. The main reason is that Raiden is slowing but surely taking in everything he learned about what's been happening recently. With the war between YorHa and the alien machine life-forms. Also the fact that a good number of the human population has been killed off with the remaining humans being on the Moon.
Making things even more uneasy for Raiden is that he has no recollection of how he ended up with his current predicament. Aside from being discovered in critical condition, there is no clue to how he wound up with his current set of circumstances. As of now, Raiden is taking in the situation as best as he can. At least until he gets a full an thorough understanding of the situation.
"So what do you think of all this?" Jackass asked Raiden quickly getting him out of his train of thoughts.
"About what, the machines taking over the world. Me not being able to speak to anyone from the Council so I can know what the hell is going on. Or the fact that this war between you guys and YorHa has been going on for a very long time?" Raiden briefly explained causing Jackass to chuckle for a bit before she spoke.
"I know it's a lot to take in, but the fact that your responding with sarcasm instead of running around like a mindless idiot. Is a little refreshing, I've read that humans don't respond to most stressful situations very well." Jackass told Raiden
"Well your right on that, but I'm not like most other humans. If you knew at least half of the stuff I fight on the daily basis. Then you'll see that these machines won't faze me in any way." Raiden responded confidently
"You haven't seen what these machines can do, especially since they've been giving YorHa trouble for years. Still this recon should go smoothly, the other scouts haven't seen anything out of the ordinary. Once we meet up with the others and get an updated report. We'll have a good idea of what's going on with the machines in the desert." Jackass told Raiden
"So far everything has been quiet, I doubt the ones we have to meet up with will deal with anything different." Raiden responded to Jackass
"Your right, but if you've been dealing with these machines for as long as we have. You'll learn not to underestimate these metallic bastards." Jackass stated to Raiden
"I can more than hold my own against these machines. Since my body fully recovered, I can take these things on at my full strength. Though how I got in that condition in the first place is something I'm still trying to figure out." Raiden told Jackass
"Do you remember anything after we gave you medical treatment?" Jackass asked Raiden
"The only thing I remember is a flash of light, but nothing else." Raiden answered as he tried to remember. What Raiden didn't mention is that after he was given medical treatment, he saw brief images of moments that felt very familiar. The images that Raiden vividly remembered are of a metallic wolf and young woman with black hair and a katana. Another part of the images are of a man with glasses and blonde woman. Yet the last image that confused him further is an image of an older man. Raiden knew that these images were important, but didn't tell Jackass or Commander White because there is too much he doesn't know about either of them. So unless he sees a familiar face or the people he the recently met earned his trust. Then he needs to keep certain details to himself.
As the group was walking, they came across a destroyed camp. Upon seeing this, both Raiden and Jackass ran towards the Camp and saw a lot of destroyed bodies. Upon seeing this, Raiden noticed Jackass held a worried look on her face upon seeing the destroyed Resistance members. As they were looking over the bodies, Jackass muttered something under her breath that Raiden was barely able to hear.
"This shouldn't have happened." Jackass said before both her and Raiden felt a strong tremble among the sand. A brief second after the tremble ended, a large machine that is in the form of a centipede rose from the sand and fired several energy blasts at the two. Jackass avoided the energy blasts, while Raiden drew his sword and quickly cut through the energy blasts that was coming towards him.
"Raiden, we need to get out of here, that machine is a Goliath Class and its too dangerous for us to fight it." Jackass told Raiden as she was avoiding the blasts herself
"I've dealt with worse than this." Raiden confidently said before he proceeded to go for Centipede machine
Raiden proceeded to run towards the machine while both avoiding and cutting through the energy blasts. Once the Machine Centipede noticed Raiden was coming, it proceeded to fire energy blasts at him. Raiden was able to get closer to the machine centipede and once he got close. Raiden proceeded to slash away at the machine and was able to destroy a part of its body. Though after a part of the Machine Centipede's body was destroyed. More machines popped out of the ground and merged with the machine centipede to repair the damage Raiden has made. After the damage was made, the Machine Centipede flew higher above the ground and proceeded to focus on firing at Raiden and left Jackass alone.
Once Raiden realized that the Machine Centipede was trying to attack from a much further range. He proceeded to quicky run towards it while slashing at the energy blasts directed towards him. Once he was close, Raiden used a good deal of his strength to jump towards the machine centipede and landed on its back.
The moment Raiden was on its back, several machines rose from its body and each of them tried to attack him. Reacting quickly, Raiden was able to destroy each of the machines with ease but realized that he has to destroy the large machine centipede in a single move. Or else, the large machine will continue to be a threat. Raiden proceeded to scan the large machine and noticed that the energy flow and output had to stay at a consistent and steady level and quickly thought of an idea.
After thinking of the idea, Raiden proceeded to use his teigu Adramalech and proceeded to generate electricity through his gauntlets. After a great deal of electricity was generated, Raiden proceeded to punch through the metallic surface of the large machine and blasted its insides with a powerful blast of electricity. The machines that rose up from the machine centipede's body tried to attack Raiden. But before the machines could get close, they were quickly electrocuted and seconds later were destroyed.
The large machine centipede tried to shake Raiden off when it realized that it was in danger. But Raiden was able to hold on to the large machine's body and didn't get off. A few seconds later, the machine centipede's body started to shake violently before its body started to have several small explosions. A few moments later, Raiden saw that the large machine was getting destroyed and jumped off its body and landed on the nearby sand. As the machine was falling, Raiden looked further to the distance and noticed a figure looking at his direction. Before Raiden could do anything further. Jackass quickly spoke up and got his attention.
"Not bad, you managed to destroy a Goliath Class machine in a fraction of the that most YorHa units would. But it was still reckless for you to be put in danger like that." Jackass told Raiden in a slightly scolding tone
"We were in danger, and I had to do something. Besides, that machine didn't look too tough and I'm not in as bad condition when you guys found me." Raiden responded to Jackass
"But you were still in unnecessary danger if anything happened to you. Then there is no telling of how the Council of Humanity will react. Your safety is a high priority." Jackass told
"My safety is a high priority for a council of people I haven't met. If that's the case, then why agree for me to go on this mission?" Raiden asked Jackass
"The reason is that this was supposed to be a low-risk mission. But given how unpredictable these machines are. I guess there really is no such thing as a low-risk mission." Jackass told Raiden
"So what happens now?" Raiden asked
"Well we did learn a few things from this supposed low-risk mission. One of our squads were decimated and you were able to destroy a Goliath-Class Machine with ease. We need to get back to the Resistance Camp and report to Anemone." Jackass briefly explained to Raiden
"Who is Anemone?" Raiden asked Jackass in a curious tone
"That's right, you didn't get the chance to meet her before we left on this recon mission. She's the leader of the Resistance group that's fighting against the machines." Jackass briefly answered before Raiden spoke up
"Wait a second, since you guys are fighting the machines like YorHa. Doesn't that mean your all technically part of YorHa?" Raiden asked in a curious tone
"Yes and no, all of us are fighting against the machines. But the resistance group is made of us old machines that's been on earth longer than YorHa who are the newer models. We can still hold our own in a fight. But the new Models that's a part of YorHa can do more impressed things. But I suggest we shouldn't stick around any longer, the machines can come back at any second and I don't wanna push our luck." Jackass told Raiden
"I couldn't agree more, from my experience. When a recon mission leads me to learn that a group of people have been killed. That's normally a sign that the mission went wrong and we shouldn't push our luck." Raiden said before him and Jackass started to leave the desert. When Raiden looked around to see if the mysterious individual was still there. Only to see that the person disappeared
(The City Ruins)
After being given the orders to investigate, both 2B and 9S made there way to the location where Raiden was first discovered. The trip to their current destination went smoothly, though they both know that when it comes to the machines, anything can happen. As the two were walking round the area, they kept a watchful on anything that could stand out or better yet. Solve the mystery that is Raiden which involves where he possibly cam from.
"A human 2B, I can't believe that there's an actual human here instead of the moon. Do you think that we'll meet him soon?" 9S asked in an excited tone
"We still need to confirm whether or not he really is a human and where he came from. Until we know for certain, then for all we know. He could be a machine that thinks he's a human. The machines we fight are getting more dangerous every day. The Council of Humanity wants all of YorHa to be certain of the facts before we can proceed to do anything." 2B briefly explained to 9S
"I know why we have to be cautious, but it is incredible to know that an actual human being was here no more than a day ago. I wish we were there when he was found. I would want to know what he's like." 9S told 2B
"Which adds to the importance of this mission 9S. If this leads to the discovery of more humans. Then this could mean big things for the Humans on the Moon. Which is why the Council of Humanity considers this a high priority mission and YorHa has to act accordingly. If this does lead us to more humans and something unfortunate happens to them. It'll be on us and the best we can hope for is that YorHa makes our deaths quick." 2B briefly explained to 9S while they were walking. As the both of them were walking, the both of them picked up a strange energy signal which quickly got their attention.
"2B, this signal I'm picking up on the radar. It's core signature is different from any of the machines we've faced. I also don't have it on file so its safe to say it's not YorHa."9S told 2B while looking at the radar
"Let's get to the source, I don't have an idea of what this signal is either. But this is something that can't be ignored." 2B said before the both of them decided to go to the source of the signal.
It didn't take the both of them long to get to the area where the signal was the strongest. Though the moment they arrived. They noticed that the area is much more destroyed than most of the City Ruins. When the two noticed this, they were visibly on guard and looked around to see where the source came from. As they were walking around, they noticed that there is a second abnormal energy signal in the area and decided to go to the source while also on the lookout for the initial source. Once they arrived at the center of the second energy source, the energy got stronger.
"I'm detecting a lot of abnormal energy, but I can't find anything." 2B told 9S while looking around
""2B, look on the ground, there's some strange markings here." 9S said making the both of them send their pods higher up.
"Pod 042, can you describe the markings on the ground?" 2B asked the pod
"Affirmative, thought these specific marking does not show up on any YorHa records. I can confirm that these markings re the source of the second energy signal." Pod 042 told 2B
"That's impossible, how can a drawing on the ground give of an energy signal?" 9S asked voicing his thoughts out loud.
"I don't know, but this is something worth investigating. Pod 042, scan the markings on the ground and upload it to the YorHa servers along with our findings on the energy signature." 2B told Pod 042
"Affirmative." Pod 042 said before scanning the markings and making a record of what they learned
"2B, 9S, The initial signal that was detected is currently on the move. In approximately 15 seconds. The source will arrive but I believe the source is of hostile intent." Pod 152 said to the two before both of them wielded their weapons and were on guard for anything.
A few seconds later, metallic footsteps could be heard and the both of them saw where it was coming from. Before any of them could do anything, a metallic figure jumped towards them and made an attempt to attack them at an intense speed. Both 2B and 9S were able to block the attack. Though 2B was able to hold her ground, 9S was knocked back a good distance and was knocked down. After the figure's attack was blocked, they were able to get a better look at the individual. What they saw was a wolflike machine with a large chainsaw on its back. Though what made the Wolf machine stand out even further. Is that there appears to be extensive damages to its body.
2B made an attempt to destroy Wolf before it had a chance to use its chainsaw. Though before 2B attacks could go any further. Wolf used its large chainsaw to parry the attack and the both of them were able to push each back. Pod 042 started to fire at the metallic Wolf. But the machine was able to dodge the pod's shots and made its way to 2B while doing so. Once Wolf got close, 2B was able to land a single sword slash against Wolf and knocked it back as a result. After Wolf was knocked back, Pod 042 charged up some energy and made a strong energy blast at Wolf. The metallic Beast was barely able to dodge it.
Though after dodging the blast, Wolf proceeded to quickly block 2B's attack but was quickly attacked by a rapid blast and was pushed back a small distance. Eventually, Wolf regained his footing and quickly dodged 2B's follow up sword attack. Immediately after dodging her attack. Wolf was able to deliver a strong attack against 2B and was able to knock her back. Before Wolf could attack her further, Pod 042 released a charge blast at Wolf and was able to land a direct hit.
"Hack him!" 2B yelled to 9S
"Got it 2B!" 9S responded before he sent signals to Wolf. 9S was able to feel Wolf's conscious and felt a lot of resistance. Even more attempts were made by the male android to hack Wolf and despite feeling the resistance. After a few more seconds spent sending spheres of light to Wolf, 9S was able to get through and got connected to Wolf's mind. After the hack was successful, 9S felt the inside of Wolf's mind and started to notice that this particular machine is very different from all the other machines.
When 9S was within Wolf's mind, he felt a completely different environment. There were strong defenses within Wolf's mind, but it all felt primitive and 9S started to see many images within Wolf's mind. Though there are several clear images of a cybernetic individual. There are several images that are broken and distorted that feels recent. The only images that 9S was able to make sense of. Is that Wolf and the cybernetic man were caught in a flash of light. Though a brief second before the flash occurred, both Wolf and the cybernetic soldier were fighting several strange machines. Before 9S could try to make sense of any of the images. The connection was cut off and 9S was no longer within Wolf's consciousness. Shortly after the connection was cut off, Wolf fell to the ground and showed no sign of movement.
"It's done 2B, I also learned a few things while I was connected to his mind." 9S told 2B after Wolf was still laying on the ground in a dormant state
"What did you see when you were inside its consciousness?" 2B asked
"For starters, you know the human that was discovered recently. I have his name and its Raiden." 9S told 2B
"Raiden, that human's name is Raiden?" 2B asked in a curious tone
"Yes, but the thing about that is . . . . . well Raiden is his codename. His real human name is Jack. Also the name of this machine is Bladewolf and he seems to know Raiden." 9S explained further to 2B
"You've hacked a lot of machines, is there a chance that these memories are fake?" 2B asked in a concerned tone
"I don't think so, the memories I see within him are too clear and detailed. I doubt these are fake memories. But his mind is broken, I don't think he knows what he's doing. Also, while there are clear memories of the past. The recent memories of how Raiden and Wolf got here is distorted and broken. Whatever happened to these two must have been pretty intense." 9S told 2B causing her to think for a moment
"Hmm clear memories that are fragmented and separated. Yet recent memories that distorted. It sounds like this Bladewolf does have clear memories like you said. But until those memories are connected to each other. This individual won't remember a thing and will still be in a mindless state. Still, since this machine has a confirmed connection to the human that was recently discovered. This is something that we can't ignore. We're going to have to bring this machine back to get very extensive repairs, both externally and internally." 2B explained to 9S
"Will we bring him back to the Bunker? We have much better supplies and I'm sure that with several support units working on Bladewolf. I'm sure it'll be much easier to fix its mind." 9S asked 2B
"No, even though this machine has a connection to Raiden. There is still too much we don't know that makes it too much of a risk. If this machine is allied with the other machines we've been fighting and infiltrates the Bunker. Then I don't need to tell you how disastrous thing will be for YorHa. Not to mention the risk that will be brought to both the Humans and the Council of Humanity. For now, we'll bring it to the Resistance Camp. Once we make the repairs to its memories and its body. We'll work our way from there." 2B explained to 9S before picking up the metallic Beast
"Got it 2B, Pod 152 did you send a report to YorHa about what we encountered?" 9S asked the pod before Commander White patched in through the Pod
"I received you and 2B's report on your findings. Your orders are to bring the machine known as Bladewolf to the Resistance Camp. The Resistance have already been informed of the situation and has agreed to give Bladewolf the repairs. 9S, you will be in charge of repairing its mind to the best of your abilities." Commander White told 9S through the Pod
"Um, are you sure Commander? I mean, from what I was able to see from its mind the damage is extensive and I doubt I can do it all alone." 9S told the Commander after being given the orders
"Your concern is reasonable, however seeing as though this is a foreign entity with too many unknowns and since you've already been integrated with its system with no apparent drawback. You are the best choice to do the repairs with the lowest amount of risk." Commander White explained to 9S
"I understand, in that case I'll do my best." 9S answered agreeing to his new responsibility before Commander White logged off
"Let's go, I don't want us to stick around longer than we need to and give the machines a chance to attack us. Or better yet, capture this Wolf and learn more about the human Raiden which can possibly lead to the discovery of more humans." 2B told 9S which caused them to leave the area. Before they went too far, 9S noticed something on the ground that was giving off a strange energy reading that his sensors picked up. 9S picked up the object and when he took a closer look at it. He saw that the energy readings matched the energy that came from the markings on the ground. 9S didn't know what to make of it but figured that its important.
"I found something that's giving off a strange energy reading. The readings match what's on the circle markings we found around here. What do you think about this?" 9S asked 2B when she took a quick glance at the object. When 2B looked at the object, it appears as if its broken despite having some energy radiating from it. Under most circumstances, 2B would easily disregard the item. But given everything that happened recently. Along with the fact that these strange events occurred ever since the discovery of the human.
"Let's hold onto it and give it a detailed analysis when we get back. First the circle markings that's giving off a strange energy reading. Then this Wolf machine that has distorted memories. Then last but not least, a strange object that's emitting a strange energy that we know nothing about. All of this started with the discovery of the human Raiden. This is too surreal to be a coincidence with more questions than answers." 2B told9Sbefore the both of them continued to go towards their destination
(The Resistance Camp)
Raiden was deep in thought about what he encountered at the desert. It still bothered him that he didn't know what happened. But he couldn't shake the feeling that something very important happened. Though not too long after Raiden destroyed the large machine. Raiden started to remember a few certain details from his past. One of the biggest details is that he remembered is how he received the thunder gauntlets he recently used. Though some of the details aren't too clear. He does remember fighting someone very strong and after killing him, Raiden gained the thunder gauntlets and remembered that the gauntlets are called Adramalech and they are called a teigu.
Before Raiden tried to think more about this, him and Jackass arrived at the Resistance Camp. Though when Raiden looked around, he sees a lot more YorHa soldiers nearby and a large pod that is made to contain something. Seeing this, Raiden instinctively grabbed his sword and noticed Commander White approach him.
"What's with the welcome party, ae you guys pissed that the mission didn't go as well as you hoped?" Raiden asked while on guard
"Not exactly, Truth be told the mission you and Jackass were sent on was quite frankly busy work. It was assumed that there would be no risk to you while we ran our own inquiry to whether you're really a human. However, our bunker saw that you had a run-in with a Goliath Class Machine which in turn had put you in great danger. I realize now that it was a critical mistake to send you out there in the first place. A poor judgement that shouldn't have been made." Commander White told Raiden
"Everyone makes mistakes, but I'm more curious about your inquiries." Raiden told the Commander
"I was getting to that, originally it was assumed that there was false reading about you being a human. So you were sent on this mission so that you would stay out of the way while we investigated this. While also ensuring that you wouldn't be exposed to many dangerous threats. After our investigation concluded, the Council of Humanity and myself agreed that you are without a doubt a human. Despite the numerous enhancements you have within your body." Commander White explained further to Raiden
"I'm glad the misunderstanding was cleared up. So would you mind explaining the welcome and the cryogenic pod?" Raiden asked
"The Council of Humanity has given the order to ensure your safety above everything else. Which is why you need to be within this cryogenic pod. Once your inside, we will place you in a secure location where the majority of YorHa will be focused on your protection." Commander White told Raiden while the pod opened up
"You know that I don't have all of my memories. What are you going to do to help me recover them if I agree to this?" Raiden asked while on guard as he looked around, planning for a possible confrontation
"To be frank Raiden, the fact that you're here is more important than your lost memories. We don't know what happened that lead you here with us. But given that the machines are a major threat to Humanity and YorHa. We need to do whatever it takes to ensure your safety. Even more so if this leads to more humans." Commander White told Raiden
"What if I don't agree to be in that pod?" Raiden asked as he drew his sword
"All of YorHa are prepared to die to ensure the safety and security of humanity. We won't kill you with our weapons, but we are equipped to bring you in through non-lethal means. Even if you kill several of us, I highly doubt your able to fight all of us. Besides, your not going to kill us needlessly. Especially since we've done you no wrong." Commander White told Raiden as more YorHa androids started to get closer.
"I won't kill either, but I'm not going to be placed in a pod against my will. Not when there is so much I need to do. The fact that your all androids makes neutralizing all of ou a lot easier." Raiden said as he took up a stance.
"Capture him!" Commander White ordered as the other androids started to approach Raiden at an intense speed
Seeing the androids coming, Raiden proceeded to fight back against the oncoming threats. Raiden knew that they were androids but didn't have it within him to go all out. Especially since they are misguided in trying to protect him. Which is why, Raiden decided to cut off each of the YorHa androids limbs. To ensure that they could no longer fight him and force him inside the cryogenic pod. After some of the androids limbs were cut off. Several of the nearby flying pods fired at Raiden with energy blasts. When he was hit, Raiden realized that the blasts were non-lethal. But if he's hit with enough of them, he could be at risk of being paralyzed.
When the flying pods proceeded to fire at him again. Raiden decided to deflect the blasts with his sword and succeeded. Unfortunately, the success was short lived as Raiden found himself being assaulted by the androids through a series of quick punches and kicks. Raiden did the best he could to block the attacks, but the YorHa units proved to be much faster and stronger than he expected. Even more so since Raiden is doing the best he can to hold back.
"Even though your clearly stronger than most humans. Your enhancements and techniques are clearly obsolete compared to everything YorHa has at their disposal. Surrender and stop making things difficult." Commander White said while seeing Raiden struggle
"If you think I'm going to give up because I'm outclassed. Then you don't know a damn thing about humans. Why don't I talk with the Council of Humanity and let me decide for myself?" Raiden asked trying to buy some time
"Because the Council has authorized your retrieval for your own protection and is busy with the war against the machines." Commander White answered
"Then that settles it." Raiden said before he charged up his thunder gauntlets and after a few seconds. He released a powerful thunder flash that engulfed the area and blinded everyone. Once the light dissipated, all the YorHa units and the Resistance units saw that Raiden disappeared.
"He couldn't have gone far, everyone spread out and search for him!" Commander White commanded before the YorHa androids dispersed to find him. Seconds after the YorHa units dispersed. Anemone approached the Commander
"What will we do if he isn't found? We can't leave this alone for too long, especially if the machines catch wind of this." Anemone told the Commander
"Don't worry about that, for now the Resistance will continue with their normal activities. If Raiden isn't found soon, then I'm just going to have to readjust a few plans. Finding him and securing his safety before the machines gets to him is now a top priority." Commander White said before she left to return to the Bunker
(The City Ruins)
After making that strong burst of light, Raiden used his impressive speed to get away from the Resistance Camp as fast as he could. Fortunately, there weren't any YorHa androids in sight. Though this also means that he lost the only means of helping him regain his lost memories. As Raiden was contemplating his situation, several machines started to appear and approach him.
"I do not have time for this shit." Raiden said as he took up a sword stance.
Before he did anything, a single figure appeared and proceeded to destroy each of the machines at an impressive speed before any of them had the chance to react. After a brief moment, all of the surrounding machines were destroyed and in front of Raiden stood a female with long silvery white hair and a black leathery outfit that looks damaged. When Raiden observed the woman, he saw that she is an android and was prepared for a fight. Though before Raiden could think of a strategy, the woman turned away from him and started to walk away. Before she went too far, the woman turned towards Raiden and spoke to him.
"I've heard about you, you're the human that's causing a lot of commotion. I'm not part of YorHa. So if you want a chance to get away from them, then I suggest you come with me. It's your choice and I don't give a damn what you do." The woman told Raiden
"If you know about me, then how do I know you won't try to bring me in to YorHa, the first chance you get?" Raiden asked while on guard.
"As an android, I'm pretty much required to protect humans. But that doesn't mean I have to do something as sneaky as that. I see your trying to get away from them and I'm not on good terms with YorHa. So if you want to come with me then come, if not then don't. I don't give a damn with what you choose." The woman said causing Raiden to think for a moment. Raiden knows next to nothing about this woman. But if he's going to have a chance to survive in an unknown environment and figure out how he got there in the first place. Then he needs allies who's willing to help him.
"What's your name?" Raiden asked as he sheathed his sword
"My name is A2." A2 answered before the two left together

I plan on diverting a couple of things from Nier Automata. I still plan on making things as consistent as possible but I do want to add a couple of things. The early appearance of A2 is one of the diverting points. Also Bladewolf is in this story and I'm excited for his involvement in this story as well. I have several plans for this story and I'm excited for them. I also apologize for this chapter taking a longer than I thought to be released.
