[A/N: I got bored. SMT3 X CMS? Yes. Why did I add the Lucifer fight? Good question, I thought it would be fun. BTW, this will cover spoilers. And please do make sure not to read it all in one sitting, alright? Hurts your brain for a bit.]
Hitoshura
Create the world as it once was, even if Kagutsuchi didn't want it. Of course, this was just another one of the old man's tests. And it didn't take long for him to hover behind me not a second later, pressing his wrinkly hand over my shoulder.
"Hmhm, yes…" He creepily praised as I pushed him off of me. There he was, slouching on his wheelchair whilst the lady in black held onto its handles. It was a familiar sight that I had grown to be annoyed of. "Kagutsichi has lost its light, by the hand of a demon no less. Quite embarrassing, don't you think?"
"Get it over with already." I demanded, a ball of almighty energy gathering at my fingertips. "Because I don't have the patience to be dealing with your shit this time."
From behind me, came the laughter of the blonde child, still accompanied by his aged caretaker. "If you really must, then I don't see why not." He shrugged, unwrapping a lollipop and sucking on it. "The rebirth of the world is no longer possible, time has met its end, and you are at the center of it. A demon rebelling against the hands of fate itself, at the cost of everyone close to him."
"Pretty sad way of making those lunatics look like the heroes, ey? Though, Isamu did have a point with his ideology-"
"But that's besides the point. By your actions here today, the Great Will shall surely curse you for going against its plans." He stated, his figure melting into a tar-black substance. The same went for the old man, both of their helpers vanishing into thin air. "He will place a heavy burden upon your shoulders, which you shall bear for all of eternity."
"Are you…" I questioned, stopping him in his tracks. "Are you bullshitting me?"
This time, a new voice entered the fray, of person who wasn't on either side of the age extremities, not so old they could be my grandpa, and not so young they could be my nephew. Instead, from out the shadows, came a finely dressed blond man.
"Of course not." He dismissed, pushing his long flowing hair out of the way of his face. "That would be cruel of me. No, because fear not. For only by receiving that curse can you truly walk down the path I've laid before you. But first, a test, if you would be so kindly."
Bowing low, the man's shadow overtook him, growing marginally larger as wings sprouted from his back. I'll be damned, if it isn't the devil himself. "Behold the supreme power of darkness, created by none other than the Great Will himself!" He rumbled, shaking the very ground I stood on. Two more pairs of wings made themselves known, as his skin turned a darker shade. Standing before me was a demon who represented Chaos itself. The fallen angel, Lucifer. "Prepare yourself."
Summoning all my men at once, an army of two-hundred strong appeared without a moment's notice, both Dante and Pixie standing by my side. Suddenly, a large blast of fire erupted from behind us, eradicating most of them instantly. "Your feeble minions have no power here. Fight me with all of your might." He taunted, an imposing weight pushing us down as a large wave of ice annihilated another portion.
Clicking my tongue, I charged up an attack as both Dante and Shiva leapt into combat. A shower of bullets came raining from the demon hunter while a bright light pierced through the endless darkness, a beam shooting out from the heavens soon after, debilitating the skyscraper sized behemoth.
From there, support funneled in quickly after, my strength sharply rising as my mouth filled with energy, charging up an attack aimed straight for his smug face!
This, as expected, had little effect on him, but it did serve as a good enough distraction that Dante was able to land a few consecutive sword slashes before having to make a retreat, the same went for Shiva, who was now being accompanied by Vishnu.
The pair shared a look between one another before nodding. A Dark cloud then gathered from above, while the ground shook violently. "Jihad." Was all that was said before sparks of lightning mingled between both heaven and earth. Destruction wrought the battlegrounds, erasing anything in its path, or, it was supposed to anyway.
Out from the wreckage, came a perfectly fine Lucifer, whose outer appearance didn't at all look worse for wear. A grin adorned his face before he launched another attack. Swinging his arms wide, each of his appendages eclipsed the red sky, towering over everyone.
Space itself warped around his presence as reality turned to glass, shattering right before our eyes. "I am…the Root of Evil." In an instant, all of us fell to our knees, the power that once fueled us seemingly lost, as though he willed it away.
Gritting my teeth, I quickly casted Mediarahan, expending most of my mana in a single use. My breathing became ragged, and at this point, the fight had only just begun. From the side, Pixie helped me stand up, a determined look on her face as she commanded all those who could fight to rain down magic strike after magic strike on the fallen angel.
Once I was able to get back on my feet, I moved into closer range. A Ludacris amount of flame pooled in my fingertips as I stared at his crotch area, a sly grin curving my lips as I rammed both of my hands into his most delicate bits, finally eliciting a reaction from the giant.
He roared, his screams becoming so loud that they caused damage to demons that didn't have complete immunity to physical trauma. Returning to the fight, my fist made impact with his chest, bludgeoning him with the power he himself granted to me, my blows bypassing his resistances.
Then Surt and Dante came to my aide, flanking me from both sides. Charging up an attack, we all dug into his skin at the same time, a heavy Gaea Rage creating ample space for their weapons to carve out large chunks of his flesh, flaying him right then and there.
Another ear-piercing sound echoed from Lucifer's mouth as he swatted us away like flies. Luckily, we were just barely able to get out of the way, thanks to the bird man Garuda saving us in the nick of time. Flapping his wings, were able to narrowly the avoid his lightning strikes in the air. The same could not be said about those below, the scent of burnt flesh crinkling my nose at the number of losses we were piling on.
From two hundred, only fifty were left standing in the wreckage. The rest were waiting for their turn to be revived. Right now, my commands were set to the support orientated units first so they could apply any buffs or debuffs incase the devil decided to nullify them.
Returning my attention to the largest demon in the room, my eyes widen as his arms spread out. He was going to break reality once more, and there was no way we were ready for another repeat of that.
His actions continued, however, instead of a massive warp, sparks of electricity passed through his fingers, the lightning before the thunder. Right in the center of it, were us.
*Kabooom*
Our bodies shook, but not out of shock. The damage we incurred was negligible at best, there wasn't a point to healing it even. However, it was the ailment he struck us with. Piercing through the protection granted by my magatama. It was an almighty attack, that was for sure. Not only that, but it also forced most of my men down onto their knees and made them bottom bitches for Lucifer to-
"Megidolaon." Son of a who-
Spikes erupted from any and all sides, each of them poking holes in my body, making it practically swish cheese. Not only me, but also everyone else that was caught in the crossfire. The number of people I had alive scarily dropped down to a mere ten: Dante, Surt, Vishnu, Shiva, Pixie, Garuda, Metatron, Beelzebub, Lilith, and Mother Harlot, all of whom survived by merit of having just enough defense to scrap on by.
My back had been thoroughly drenched in sweat by this point. Kagutsuchi might have been hard, but he didn't cripple everyone in a single move! That's not fair damn it!
"In a game of life and death, nothing is fair." He started, as though he read my mind. "To win or to die, that is all that matters. And in this case? You just aren't ready yet, little man. Come back in another hundred years, maybe then you might have enough hatred to fight me."
Without a moment's notice, all of my allies disappeared, leaving me floating in mid-air as Lucifer loomed over me, a disappointed look on his face. His form then shrank, morphing back into that of a human. "Such a shame, especially when I had such high hope for you after that last fight. Bah! What's a little more waiting. Here, I'll give you a little help."
Waving his hand, all of the air in my chest flew out, leaving me out of breath as my body hit the ground below. My consciousness drifted away soon after, my mind still brewing with anger, but most of all, shame. Shame that I was able to kill God, but not the Devil himself.
