Hitoshura
I stayed there, for what felt like days. Agony pulsing through my veins as I laid static to the world around me, the sky (which was made of doors), provided a good amount of entertainment while I recovered from the injuries I suffered at the hands of the traffic sign.
Speaking of which, he was quite annoying. And with no good way of shutting him up, my only other options were to let him babble on and on, his mindless rabble only serving to irritate me more. Whatever, he couldn't do anything to me anyway, so there was no point in worrying.
And soon enough, my hands and legs were fully healed, not a scratch ruining my striped body. Though at the mention of my appearance, Mr. Signs decided it was a good idea to taunt the person who had more limbs than him. "You look like one of those femboys in the human world. Bet if I had cash I would buy your services if you know what I mean-"
Snapping his metal pole in half, the devil cried out into the open air, where nobody would come for him. "And I'm this close to ending it with you. Now guide me to the nearest exit so I can get rid of you." I demanded, as his voice's tone lowered immediately.
"It- it's ju-"
"Clearly motherfucker! Because I did hear a God damn word you said." I chastised, more for entertainment's sake than anything. "Repeat it again or I'm going to have to beat your non-existent ass into the dirt. Need I repeat myself?"
"N- No, sir!"
"Good, now do as you were told before I do it to you anyways."
"R-right." He 'straightened' himself, the predominant sign on his face transforming to that of an arrow pointing ahead of me. "Walk east for five-hundred meters. Turn right on the Anime Figure Devil's defiled corpse…" He then proceeded to fire off a list of directions, none of which I was going to remember. Staring at the plane of flowers, and the sky of doors, I contemplated what brought me here in the first place. Why am I still here, just to suff- "Are you even listening to me!?"
Right, almost forgot about him. "Don't you dare look disinterested. You know what? Fuck you, drive me into the ground and leave me here, at least then I have more of a chance of dying to a wandering devil than following your idiotic ass."
Ignoring his sorry voice, I walked in the path that he previously instructed, simply hoping I would stumble upon someone, like how it usually does. Dead bodies littered the ground as various smells intertwined with the stale scent of the flowers, creating a dizzying mess of sensory stimuli. From the usual blood, to the not so common fruit juice, they all laid out in the open, with various devils coming to feast on their flesh. Surprisingly, they didn't go on to disturb me, even when I walked closer to them. Guess eating was more important to them than hunter.
Though, it made sense in all reality. There were very few living entities, and the few you could find were mostly hostile without a plate in their face. Not only that, but the chances of finding something edible was also low, seeing as most of the creatures that inhabited the supposed first realm of hell were inanimate objects. Did… did I just pass by a chair devil?
It was certainly weird, encountering more outlandish creatures in this new space. Creatures that were born out of fears, clear contrast to the demons I'm more familiar with who came from the perception and legends humans made, though, they weren't much different. Only in the way people create them.
Which made sense I suppose. Instead of the usual Preta or Angel, there were instead… why is that thing staring at me? It was like a banana, however, instead of it having white flesh on the inside, somebody decided to add a little bit of nightmare fuel to the normally phallic and humorous fruit.
Eyes, eyes littered across every inch of its peel, each of them opening simultaneously, sending chills down my spine. Through its peeled skin, were a row of shark-like teeth, row upon row, endless in number. And to make things worse, it stood on two human legs. Just how many people were afraid of bananas?
Too many apparently, as not a moment later, the Mara look alike sprinted at me, diving in for the kill as its jaws opened wide, awaiting for my arrival. A scowl etched on my face in defiance of this, my body rolling out of the way just in time to avoid it.
Much to the Sign Devil's detriment, I held him tightly with both hands, using the sharper reverse side as a spear, piercing through its body with ease. I grinned at my momentary victory, capitalizing on my chance to pull back and swing the sign like an axe, his protests ringing loudly in my ears.
"When I get my body back, I'm going to make you pay for this you sonofa-" That was all he could get out before splattering a set of four eyes, their juices landing in its 'mouth'. "Never mind, keep doing that! He tastes delisciou-"
A blow to the ribs sent me flying, the fall cushioned by the flowers below, saving me from a painful crash. Shifting my attention back at the creature, a plan formulated in my head, shifting my sight back and forth between my makeshift weapon and the monster. Until a spark of brilliance erupted from my cranium.
With a goal and a little bit of motivation, I rushed back in, taking things a little bit more carefully as it lunged at me, flinging its body into the air. Sliding under the attack just in the nick of time, I swung at its legs, making good use of the momentum and Lunge to launch me further and at more force than I would have without either.
Smirking at the job that I had done, I stared at the beast, watching how it struggled to get up, black spots forming at the points where I struck it. For having such a reliance on its lower limbs, it sure did go down fast. Then again, this could be a side effect of not having enough fear to feed on. But, this did go all according to plan, so there wasn't room for me to complain.
Taking a step towards it, the giant banana tried scampering away, though, with a wound like that, I doubt it would've gone that far. Changing my foot's rhythm, the soft sounding foot steps gradually eased the beast, its expression relaxing ever so slightly at my approaching figure. Slowly, I drifted my hand towards the fruit's bottom, gently stroking it as the sign in my other hand laughed hysterically.
The plan was a success so far, and this devil in particular seemed to be more animalistic compared to the rest. It felt more like a dog or a cat compared to a human, honestly. Which, was both good and bad. Great because it could be easily manipulated and given commands with little effort on my part as long as I gave it rewards by the end. And bad because one wrong move could have me at the end of its many teeth. Then again, that could be said about anything with a semblance of conscience and instinct.
Grabbing Sign by the pole, I swiftly dragged the sharp edge of his snapped tip across my left hand, all the while he loudly moaned in the process... Moving on, I ignored whatever he was up to and hovered the appendage over the banana's mouth, droplets of blood trickling down at a steady pace.
Connection set, time for pha-.
The devil jumped, biting for more. Pulling back my hand, the flat side of the sign quickly found itself striking the mutated fruit, sad whimpers crying out from it as unshed tears gathered up in its many eyes. "You'll get more once you behave." I chastised, setting a boundary for my new pet, cautiously watching as the 'dog' sent a horrific amount of puppy eyes my way.
Tingles waved past my spine, moving down each individual column with its phantom hands. The feeling was a bit eerie, but also endearing in a way, creepy, mind you, but slightly heartfelt. "Follow me, and I can give you more treats. All you have to do is become my dog."
It pondered, for but a moment, before returning its gaze towards me, zipping up its mouth, and caressing my side. Perhaps it was sorry? I couldn't exactly tell, but it was something. Petting the top of its stem, the banana dog's movements became more elated, moving more energetically as I allowed it to drink a little bit more of my blood. "Good boy. Now, you wouldn't mind if I rode your back, right?"
[A/N: I try my best, not to be discouraged by the numbers. Though, your words of encouragement were nice. Thank you. Again, this section is focused on the demi-fiend gaining his strength, which also means expanding his summons. And seeing as he hasn't attained a power up yet, I decided to give him a little bump, along side an infinite supply of food. I'll have a crude drawing of it on QQ and SB tomorrow, though don't expect much, I can barely draw stickmen. Copy and paste stuff below.
Anyways, if you find anything wrong in the fic, let me know. I would love to hear your thoughts, opinions, and what I could have done in place of what is present.
