Here's the next chapter of Emerald Weapon X. I am very sorry for the lateness of this chapter, I got a new, better job for the summer and quit my old job, so I've had a lot on my mind, and this got pushed to the backburner for a bit. Quick thanks to everyone who left a review, that really helps motivate me to keep writing.

Eris Don't you worry, I've got plans for all of it. While your idea's about Cyborg are very interesting, I think I'm gonna have to pass on those. I am however thinking about a change to Logan's suit, it's a bit too Wolverine now that I think about it. While I am going to have a lot of Wolverine aspects to the character in this story, I have to find a good balance between him and Beast Boy. Right now I'm thinking that BB's personality will be more prevalent. As for the suit, red-white seem too bright for the character and black-purple were Beast Boy's colours, I want something that feels like BB but separates Logan enough so that Logan feels more distinct. I also want to think of a way to keep some green in the colour scheme, the story is called 'Emerald Weapon X' and while it works as a nod to Beast Boy it should also represent Logan as well. I will however be adding sleeves and removing the hood altogether. He doesn't really have much of an identity to speak of and without the green skin he doesn't look enough like Beast Boy to be recognizable to those who knew him.

Kraken slayer234 Glad you like it. I will be explaining what happened to Beast Boy at some point, but it will likely be later on as that isn't necessary to the plot of the story quite yet. I may consider adding Talia al Ghul if I can find a way to fit her in to the story that makes sense. If you want to DM me with whatever idea's you have then feel free, I'd love to hear what you come up with.

If anyone wants to shoot me any ideas for a new look, then fire away. Right now I plan for it to be based off the leather motorcycle style outfit from the X-Men movies, but a dark green with black accents.

Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Titans or Marvel.

Anyways, lets get started already…

Jinx and Logan were walking through the corridors with Jinx listing off various rules he had to follow.

"…Number 13: No fighting with other Resistance members, if you have a dispute then you solve it in the training area. Number 14: Stay clear of the Restricted areas, trust me, you don't want to see some of the things that go on behind those doors. Lastly, number 15, try not to question the big Bat. That's not really one of them, its just an unspoken rule that everyone follows. You do NOT want to get on his bad side."

"Does he even have a good side?" Logan questioned. The dark knight seemed to be perpetually grumpy at all times.

"We're not entirely sure. I'm going to say… no."

The two shared a laugh as they passed through a set of double doors into a large room filled with tables and chairs. At some there were people eating while others had people simply talking amongst each other.

Around a corner to the left was a slightly different area with soft rugs and bean bag chairs that looking hypnotically comfy.

"This is the dining hall. You'll come here to eat or just hang out with others, the spot to the left over there is a lounge. If you plan on using it then get their fast, those chairs get taken up fast."

As they made their way through the large room a voice called out to Jinx.

Turning, they saw a small group of people sitting at one of the tables, waving them over.

They walked over to their table and Jinx greeted them.

"Hey guys."

"Hey Jinx, who's the new guy?" The blonde girl from earlier asked, while looking Logan up and down.

"This is Logan, he's the guy we picked up from earlier. Logan, these are my friends…" She said gesturing to the group.

First was the blonde girl who wore a red sleeveless top with two stylized golden W's on it, skinny jeans with golden stars on the thigh and brown boots.

"Cassandra Sandsmark, but you can call me Cassie. I also go by Wonder Girl. Sorry about back when we first met, we just didn't know who you were, and I didn't want to risk putting everyone in danger. But I guess if the big Bat is willing to give you a chance, then so will I." Cassie said with a smile as she shook his hand. Logan took notice of the strength of her grip and made a mental note not to piss her off.

"That's alright, I understand. You don't really know me, and you just want to keep your friends safe, I can understand that. I'll try my best to stay on your good side." Logan said.

"You better," She said with a smirk while looking him up and down. "And I must say your quite easy on the eyes."

Logan felt a light blush rise to his cheeks as he chuckles nervously.

"H-heh, thanks."

Next, he turned to the green-skinned redhead sitting to her left. She wore a very dark green jacket with a white shirt underneath it, green tights, and black heels.

"I'm Poison Ivy, formerly Pamela Isely, but I prefer to go by Ivy." She said in an even tone. She was reluctant to accept his handshake but gave in and accepted anyway.

Then there was a rather striking raven-haired woman in a black shirt, pants, and boots.

"Donna Troy, I go by Wonder Woman." She said curtly, barely sparing him a glance. She kept her arms crossed and had a black expression on her face, clearly not very big on talk.

Moving on there was a young southern man with dirty blonde hair. He wore a red sweater with a black diamond pattern across the middle over a beige collared shirt, brown pants and brown loafers.

"Howdy partner, name's William Billy Strayer, but folks call me Billy. I'm also known as Billy Numerous, one of the only survivors of the H.I.V.E. Five." His accent was thick and as he went to shake his hand, another him suddenly appeared and shook his other hand. He was definitely an oddball for sure.

Lastly was a young African American man with short black dreads. He wears a blue vest over a black shirt with a golden lightning bolt in a circle, blue pants, and sneakers.

"Sup, I'm Virgil Hawkins, also called Static. Put her their." He said as they shook hands, earning Logan a fitting shock from the electric charged man. Logan couldn't help but laugh himself, and he had a feeling that he and Virgil would get along very well.

"Well then, I guess I'll go too." Logan said. "I've got no memories of who I am and all I have is these dog tags that say my name is G. Logan, but I'm not sure what the G stands for so just call me Logan. According to the other one I also go by Wolverine."

"Hey, where are Kara and Barbra?" Jinx asked.

Cassie was quick to respond.

"Last I saw Barbra was in the gym and Kara is off helping Dick with whatever it is he's working on."

"Oh, alright. Guess you'll have to meet them later." Jinx said to Logan.

They joined the group at their table and talked about themselves further, briefly going over their powers. Cassie spoke for her and Donna since she didn't like to talk all that much. Both of them were Amazon warriors with enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, agility, and flight.

Ivy had the ability to control and manipulate plants, immunity to all toxins, and special pheromones that could control people, although she used the latter ability less often since joining the Resistance. She was also a very skilled biochemist, working alongside others in the lab, although she preferred to work alone or with women if necessary and liked her space.

Billy was essentially a human copying machine, able to duplicate himself into hundreds of copies, as well as some low degree of super strength. Although Virgil added that his most dangerous weapon was his mouth since he almost never stopped talking and he could probably just annoy his enemies to death.

Speaking of Virgil, he had the ability to control electromagnetism and electricity in just about every way you could think of. He also carried around several collapsible metal disks that he could use to fly around.

Jinx jumped in as well, talking about how she could use magic to control probability as well as energy blasts via hexes. She also mentioned that she was a skilled gymnast and very flexible while giving Logan a wink. She was very eager to show Logan her powers since she didn't make a very good impression before with the whole damsel situation. Billy was about to joke about the idea of the fierce Jinx being a damsel in distress, but he was immediately shut down with a glowing pink glare from the girl.

"So what can you do Logan?" Virgil asked.

But before he could say a word there was a call on the intercom asking for them to come to the simulation room for a meeting.

"I guess we'll find out firsthand." He said as they all got up and headed off.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

When the group got to the simulation room, they saw Batman waiting for them along with Supergirl, who Logan found out was the Kara that Jinx mentioned before.

Everyone got in a line and now that Dick could see Logan without his mask on, he couldn't help but think that he looked somewhat familiar.

But as quickly as the thought came to him it went away, and he addressed the group.

"I take it that you've all met Logan, so we'll skip past introductions. This is going to be a training exercise for Logan to show what he is capable of. After the results from the med bay I have a good idea of his abilities, now I want to see them in action. Logan, get ready at the starting point over there, the rest of us will be up top in the control booth to monitor the simulation."

With that everyone headed to their respective positions as the simulation booted up.

Logan found himself on a gravel path leading to a large building with grass on either side. There were multiple stone barriers spaced randomly between him and the building as well as a few thick trees here and there.

"Alright Logan, this simulation will have you fighting to infiltrate an enemy base and rescue several hostages. Try to do so in the shortest amount of time possible." Batman said over the speakers.

"That doesn't seem very hard." Logan responds.

"You will have to do so through waves of enemies. Everything is composed of hard-light holograms, so while you'll only risk suffering minor injuries, each one will feel just a painful as the real thing."

"Okay… that still sounds manageable."

"Lastly, you will also encounter a Vanguard at some point. Good luck." Batman then booted up the program and Logan watched as an army of soldiers appeared throughout the field, along with several robots and mech suits standing several meters tall. Newly appeared encampments and gun towers faced their weapons towards him.

"Oh shit."

Right as Logan said that, everything sparked to life and a hail of gunfire rained down of his position.

Reacting quickly thanks to his instincts he dove for the nearest cover behind a large tree. Bullets immediately began tearing the simulated trunk to pieces.

Back in the overhead command booth, everyone watched as Logan was pinned from all angles, each of them with varying looks of concern on their faces aside from the indifference on Batman and the smirk on Donna.

"Are you sure this was a good idea, having him dive straight into this on his first day?" Static asked.

"No one gets the easy treatment; this is war and in war you need to be ready from the start if you want to survive." The dark knight said. He saw the test results and he heard what Jinx said happened when he found her. But based on the opening performance things were rather underwhelming.

The only one who had faith in Logan's abilities was none other than Jinx. She saw what Logan could do and she had full confidence in him.

Meanwhile, Logan was thinking for a way out of his current situation. Sure he could just charge in with claws flying, but he doubted that something so reckless right out of the gate wasn't going to impress these people. So he had to think of something else and fast, or his cover would be gone in seconds.

It was then that an idea popped into his head. It was unorthodox and a little crazy, which was exactly why he liked it.

So, with one swift movement he popped his claws and slashed the remains of the tree and gave is a hard shove, sending it toppling forward towards his awaiting holographic foes.

It landed and crushed a good portion that had been too close and unable to get out of the way, then he used his strength to pick up the end of the trunk and swung it around, knocking any remaining nearby enemies away.

"Come on, who's next. I'm batting a thousand!"

He continued this until all those close by had been destroyed before hurling the tree at one of the encampments like a massive spear, destroying the structure and anything else in it's path.

He then popped his claws again and charged at the enemies, slicing them to shreds as he made his way towards the base.

A shot from one of the mechs drew his attention. He lunged at it and slashed off one of it's arms. The other came down at him but he rolled out of the way and leaped at the operator, slicing his cabin open and ripping him out before cutting it in half.

He then moved on one of the robots, but it caught him and threw him onto a tree. Using the momentum Logan twisted around and turned the tree into a springboard to launch himself back at the machine and decapitate it.

He then hurled the severed head strait through the chest of another robot before continuing his slaughter.

Things continued this way until the last foe fell to his claws and he then rushed towards the door. As he passed by one of the gun towers, he sliced its supports and sent it falling into the base of the other one, bringing both to the ground.

As he got to the door, he sliced an X into it and kicked it open before walking through the hole. He found himself in a concrete hallway. Several soldiers come out from around a corner and open fire.

The bullets disappear as they hit him, but the rush of pain is all too real. Becoming more angry, he rushes forward slashing one across the abdomen, spilling his guts, and stabbing two more in the chest. He cuts the wrists of another before following up with his legs and finally up through his jaw. Throwing his corpse into another knocks the man down, allowing Logan to pounce on him and slash him several times. Blood splatters against the walls as the figure is reduced to a bloody, shredded mess.

Following the scent of the hostages he turns another corner and runs into two more solders, one of which he hooks around the neck and throws into the wall before grabbing the other by the throat and slamming him into the ground and slicing through his head. The other solder is just beginning to pick himself up before Logan puts his claws into his back and right down through the concrete.

As he finally reaches the door to the hostages, he comes face to face with five more soldiers all of whom immediately open fire. With a scream of rage Logan charges the first and cuts across his chest and face. The next one has his gun sliced before he is dismembered, followed by another who has his head split in two. A series of rapid stabs to the stomach finishes off another and the last one screams in fear before being cut in half across the midsection, adding more blood to what is currently painting the walls and ceiling and pooling on the floor.

The people in the command booth were all stunned silent from the grotesque display they had just witnessed.

"Why did you have to program the simulation to have blood?" Virgil asked, a bit uneasy after what he just witnessed.

"You need to get used to the more gruesome side of combat. Even if you don't like it and we rarely resort to it you need to be familiar enough with it so that you don't get distracted out in the field. But even I admit this is more than I anticipated." Batman said.

Logan broke the door off its hinges and walked in to find the hostages tied up in the center of the room, a gunman holding a young girl with a gun to her head.

"Don't take another step, or I'll blow her brains all over the floor!"

Logan held still as he thought of a way to best approach the situation. After a few moments he sheathed his claws and held his hands up calmly.

"Ok, just take it easy. Lets talk this out." He said.

"There ain't nothing to talk about. I'm gonna kill every last one of them, then your next!" The gunman said.

"And how well do you think that will go? Cause all your buddies thought the same, and they all died." Logan deadpanned.

"They were all weak and pathetic. I'm the one that's gonna end you and all these hostages, just you watch!"

Logan just stood there awkwardly as the man continued to babble on about "kill" this and "I'm invincible" that. The whole situation went from serious to stale so fast that he honestly wasn't quite sure where he was supposed to go from here.

Luckily, he didn't have to keep standing there awkwardly as the girl stomped on her kidnappers foot, causing him to grunt in pain before throwing her to the ground and taking aim at her.

That was a rather dumb move on his part as without his human shield there was nothing stopping Logan from advancing on him. Which was exactly what happened as almost immediately after he raised his gun to the girl, the barrel was grabbed and yanked roughly upwards, bringing him face to face with Logan.

Logan effortlessly ripped the gun from the mans hands and snapped it in half like a twig. Then he lifted the man up by his collar and hurled him into the wall with a resounding thud and crack before his limp body fell to the ground.

Pausing briefly, Logan couldn't help but wonder how this simulation could be so advanced in many ways, yet so stupid in others. It was comical, almost absurd to him at this point.

After checking that the girl was alright, he untied the rest of the hostages and led them through the blood-soaked halls towards the exit that conveniently had several signs on the walls leading to it.

As he turned the final corner he saw the exit, completely unguarded.

Huh, that's strange.

As he was walking through the hall his sensitive hearing picked up something faint. He stopped, gesturing for the group to do the same.

"Why are we stopping?" One of the men asked.

Logan didn't respond. He was focussing in on the sound as it got closer and closer. It sounded like… wind? Which was odd as there wasn't so much as a faint breeze in here before.

As the sound got louder and louder, he began to feel a light gust of wind brush against his arm. Getting into a ready stance, he tried to smell for any kind of scent that could give him some information on what was coming but got nothing.

The wind got stronger and stronger until a powerful blast of wind from behind knocked him and the captives off their feet and swirled them around the corridor like ragdolls.

After what felt like forever getting tossed around helplessly, the tornado abruptly cut off and sent everyone tumbling in random directions.

Logan found himself against the door with an attractive woman laying on top of him with her shapely rear facing him.

While the view was rather enjoyable, it was sadly not his primary concern at the moment. So he helped the woman back up and looked back down the hall to see a tall red robot with a yellow T symbol on his chest, a yellow arrow on his forehead, and a blue cape with a large white V on it.

"That is far enough. Surrender yourself and hand over the prisoners now or be destroyed." The robot said. Well, "said" being used loosely as it didn't have much more then slits in the way of eyes and a mouth. Such features were quite fitting if it was going for the "emotionless machine" look.

"Who are you? Or I guess what are you?" Logan asked.

"I am Vanguard 05; my name is Red Tornado. I will ask you one more time to surrender before I take drastic action." He responded.

"How about, no." Logan said while glaring at the robot.

"Very well." Red Tornado said before he raised his arm and sent a tornado at the man.

"Everyone, get to the exit, now!" He said as he drew out his claws and dug them into the floor. The wind attempts to throw him about, but his claws remain firmly in place.

After a few moments, the tornado dissipates and Logan rips his claws out and throws bits of rubble at the robot, who casually creates another tornado that catches them and redirects them back to Logan.

He is too slow to dodge and gets hit all over his body. Red Tornado then follows up and blasts a gust of wind at Logan who becomes pinned to the wall.

He struggles against the force of the wind but manages to stab his claws into the wall and slowly shambles his way towards the robot. Tornado increases the force of the wind, but Logan continues towards him. Every step is a struggle, his feet somehow miraculously managing to stay grounded but his teeth gritting from the effort.

Once within arms reach Logan tries to slash at the robot, only for him to move out of the way at the cost of letting up the wind.

Now with an opening, Logan lunges at him as he makes no move to defend himself and stabs straight into the robots chest, burying his claws down to his knuckles and protruding through the other side of him.

Sensing no change in his opponents stance Logan looks up to see the robot looking down at him unphased.

Seconds later, Logan blasts through the doors of the exit and comes to a skidding halt outside. Red Tornado follows through the remnants of the doors and watches him as he picks himself back up.

"While your strike would have proven lethal to an organic being, I am a robot, and my systems are able to repair such kinds of injuries." The robot says as the six holes in his chest slowly built themselves back together.

"And now that our battle has been taken to a more spacious environment, my powers can be utilized to their truest extent." A swirl of crimson appears around Red Tornado as he lifts off the ground and high into the sky.

"Of course he can fly, why wouldn't he?" Logan says sarcastically as another tornado is sent his way, this one much larger than before.

With great speed, Logan just barely managed to get out of the way and charge at Tornado. Several more tornados are launched at him, but he evades them as well, getting close to his opponent.

"Come on, is that all you got?" Logan calls out as hi picks up a nearby chunk of ruble and throws it at the robot.

It is easily redirected but Logan continues, getting into a rhythm of throwing debris and dodging the ones that redirected. This continues until a piece of metal manages to hit Tornado and send him falling to the ground.

Logan advances on the downed machine but he recovers and uses a tornado to pick up nearby shards of glass and metal and envelop Logan with it. He is thrown around while the shards cut into his body.

As they imbed into his skin, he feels himself growing irritated from the pain. Memories from his fight with Sabretooth fill his mind as the cuts from the glass and metal remind him of those he received from the feral man.

The irritation slowly morphs into anger and his mind begins to cloud. He can feel something primal rising to the forefront of his mind as his eyes begin to glaze over. He clenches his fists and begins to walk towards Tornado seemingly unaffected by the wind.

Red Tornado senses that something is off and blasts a gust like a hurricane at him. Seeing no apparent change the robot raises both his arms and increases the force of the wind.

Logan's skin begins to partially peel away but is immediately healed within seconds.

Those spectating up above watch in shock and slight horror as Logan continues marching unrelenting towards Tornado.

He begins to snarl at the robot and slowly grows louder and louder as he also gets faster and faster. Eventually he reaches a full scream as he sprints towards the other, before leaping and slicing at him.

His claws tear through his mechanical body like tinfoil as he cleaves off his head, then arms, then torso, legs, and so on until he is reduced to scrap and scattered around the area.

Logan pants heavily as a loud buzz sounds out and an automated voice states that the exercise is complete. The illusion fades away as he fully regenerates his remaining skin. His eyes return to normal, and he pulls his claws back in.

Up in the command booth the others are still reeling from what they just witnessed. Batman is the first to snap out of it and turns to Jinx.

"What happened to him at the end, was that the same as what you gave in your report when the man calling himself Sabretooth attacked you?" He said. His voice remained outwardly composed.

"Pretty much, yeah." Jinx responded. She was a little bit more accustomed to the display then the rest.

Virgil was the next one to speak and called out more exited than shocked.

"That was so sick! I think he broke the course record. Lets head down their and congratulate the guy." He then rushed out of the room before anyone realized, soon followed by everyone else.

Once they made it down their they saw Virgil talking with Logan like giddy child after an action movie.

"Dude, that was awesome! You were all, slice-slice stab, and way you powered your way through that last attack was crazy. How'd you do that?" He asked to the man.

"Uh, I'm not totally sure really. I sort of blacked out near the end." Logan said while scratching the back of his head and grinning nervously.

"Well whatever the case you really kicked ass. You finished in even managed to set a new course record." Virgil said.

"Its true. You beat the previous record held by Donna by about 20 minutes." Cassie said while her sister grumbled angerly behind her.

"Not only that but you didn't have a single loss of civilian life. Your methods were more, extreme then usual, but I guess its understandable. Still, you will have to be more restrained in the use of such lethal force from now on." Batman said, backing up his final decree with a fierce glare.

"I'll try but I make no firm promises. I may be missing my memories but one thing I know is that this world will always try to push you down, and you need to be able to push back just as hard, if not harder to make it far." Logan said firmly but respectably.

Batman responded with a simple "hmm".

"Plus, what do you expect me to do with these things, they ain't kitchen knives." He said showing his claws.

Billy and Virgil both laughed at the lame joke while Jinx and Cassie gave a brief chuckle and the rest remained silent.

Logan asked what to do now and his stomach responded with a loud rumble. He and the others laughed, and Logan guessed that he worked up an appetite from the training and they all decided to head back to the dining hall.

While the others left, Batman stayed behind, thinking back to how lethal Logan was.

While one did need to know how to fight to survive in this world, the man's skills seem unusually well honed, almost like he was trained. Adding that to the unusual circumstances of his discovery and his lack of identity and the Bat's mind was stirring with possibilities as to his origins.

'Its times like these that I really wish you were still here Bruce.' He thought to himself.

Making a mental note to think on it later and come up with a list of possible ideas, he left down the hall to go join the others.

He smirked slightly to himself as he thought about how his predecessor would never have allowed himself to eat in the common area, choosing to eat by himself in his office instead.

Even though he never said it, Dick always suspected that Bruce admired that about him. His father made sure that he didn't fall down the same path he did and because of that he was more optimistic and open with others, while still developing a keen strategic mind. He allowed others to get close to him and even formed real friendships, something that the original Batman could never do.

Smiling fondly, he continued to the dining hall. He was forever grateful to his mentor and father. And he hoped that he could live up to his honor.

To Be Continued…

Thank you all for reading, it means so much to me. While I am not short on ideas for my stories, I have a bit of struggle with the consistency of updates. Surprisingly, it hasn't got much easier to write even during Summer with no school. I also work full time, so I don't have as much space to write as I'd like and I'm usually pretty tired when I get home from work so that limits my active writing time.

Next chapter should be up next week.

I know that I haven't made any serious steps in the way of romance yet, that's because I want all, or at least most, of the harem members to go through some kind of arc to make the moment they join feel more meaningful.

Comments and (constructive) criticisms are welcomed.

But that's enough said for today, I'll see you next time Titans…
