Once Henry has gone to bed, Regina and Emma settle back down with another glass of cider.

"So, what other gifts did you get for your birthday, apart from mine?" Emma asks, as she leans back onto the sofa and looks over to Regina, who looks more relaxed than Emma has ever seen her.

"You know the usual. Chocolate and wine"

"Is that all?" Emma quirks an eyebrow.

"Well, I did get anti stress package for the new spa in town"

"Oh fancy, who thinks you need to destress?" Emma then asks.

"Your mother"

Emma nearly chokes on her cider.

"Really?"

Regina nods with a smile.

"The package is for two people" Regina then says, whilst taking a sip of her wine.

Emma then tilts her head, as she watches Regina with interest.

"Do you think, she wants to be your plus one?" she then asks in curiosity.

"It would not surprise me, as I think it is something she would enjoy"

Regina then ponders for a moment.

"Why don't you come with me?" she then asks softly, and Emma's eyes widen.

"ME?" Emma says, a little high pitched.

"Yes, you" Regina smirks.

"Can you see me with a mud pack on my face and cucumbers upon on my eyes? I'd get bored"

Regina chuckles.

"From what I read about it, there would be a whirlpool with champagne and snacks and a massage after" she then tells Emma.

"Oh" Emma mutters and the image of Regina in a swimwear, leaves her mouth rather dry, so she takes a big swig of her cider.

"Will you think about it?" Regina then asks, she'd love to spend more time with Emma.

"Okay, I'll think about it. But I'm not promising anything" Emma answers but she knows, she would literally do anything, if it meant she could spend more time with Regina.

"That's fine" Regina smiles and Emma sighs happily.

It is about eleven thirty, when both women decide to all it a night.

They had spent a few hours talking, drinking and watching a detective show. Which made Emma laugh, whilst Regina rolled her eyes at its stupidity.

"Let me show you to your room" Regina says, as she turns off the tv.

"That would be great, thanks" Emma yawns and then stand's up and follows Regina out and up the stairs.

"Here we are" Regina then says, as they come to a stop and gestures to the room opposite Henry's.

"Thanks Regina. It's well nice of you to let me stay"

"Well, I couldn't have you drive home under the influence. You may have had an accident and what would people say, about their own sheriff breaking the law" Regina smirks and Emma chuckles.

"Yeah, that wouldn't be good"

"Hmm" Regina smiles and they end up staring at one another for a long moment, both feeling happy and something else they can't quite explain. Regina puts it down to the alcohol and she clears her throat and takes a step back.

"Good night, Emma" she then says and turns to go to her own room and Emma watches her go with a dopey look upon her face, as she whispers "Good night, Regina"

The next morning, Emma wakes up and momentarily forgets where she is.

Oh yeah, I'm at Regina's she thinks to herself. As she snuggles into the softest sheets she's ever felt, and the bed is the comfiest bed she's ever laid in.

She then hears a tapping upon the door, and she groans.

She doesn't want to get up yet.

"Mom" she hears Henry whisper, and she peaks over the sheets to look at him.

His in his pyjamas and in sneaks in and close the door.

Before making his way over to Emma.

"What's up Hen?" she asks, as he comes to sit upon the bed next to her.

"Um, did you enjoy last night?" he asks.

"Yeah, it was great why you ask?"

"It's just, mom never lets anyone stay over. Like ever"

"Really?" Emma leans up and she feels kind of special, knowing that Regina had let her stay over.

"Yeah, are you two like best friends now?" he asks, he sounds hopeful.

"That's up to your mom"

"I think she'd want too. I mean, she asks about you and stuff. So, I think she likes you now"

Emma quirks an eyebrow.

"What kind of stuff, does she ask you about me?" she tries to sound casual but is failing miserably.

"Just if you're okay and if you've been hanging out with Killian"

"Oh"

"She also asks some odd questions, like what's your favourite flower"

Emma smiles at this.

"And what did you tell her?" she asks amused, and he shrugs.

"I told her it's the flower on your wrist. By the way, she's cooking us breakfast right now. That's why she sent me to wake you" He then stands up.

"Okay, tell her I'll be straight down"

Henry then nods and leaves, leaving Emma to smile widely at the knowledge of knowing that Regina asks about her.

Five minutes later, she enters the kitchen and can smell maple syrup.

"Good morning, Emma" Regina greets and she is fully dressed and moving around the kitchen with purpose.

"Hi" Emma replies, as she watches in awe.

"We've got pancakes" Henry then says happily and adds "We only have pancakes on special occasions"

Emma then swallows thickly and goes to take a seat next to Henry.

"Is that so? why would this be a special occasion?" Emma then asks.

"Well, you are a guest in my house. That is reason enough" Regina answers and Emma can tell that there is more to it than that.

Regina then begins to put the pancakes on Henry and Emma's plates but not on hers.

Emma frowns.

"Are you not having any?" Emma asks.

"I'm not a big fan of pancakes but I've done myself an omelette"

"Oh"

they then begin to eat, and Emma can't help but moan.

"This is like the best pancake I've ever tasted, and I've never tasted that syrup before. it's delicious"

"It is a homemade one. I'm glad you like it" Reigna smiles to herself.

Henry then goes on to tell them about his dream, whilst they eat and before they know it, David arrives and takes him to the docks. Leaving Emma and Regina alone.

"Let me help you clear up. It's the least I can do after you cooked us breakfast" Emma says, as she takes her plate and empty glass to the sink.

"Thank you"

They then clear up and Emma takes a deep breath, before saying "This has been great, but I should get going, as I start my shift at the sheriff's station at eleven"

"You're cutting it fine, if you don't want to be late miss Swan" Regina replies with a smirk and Emma chuckles before replying "And who's fault is that?"

"Hmm"

They then both smile at one another.

"Thank you for last night and letting me stay and have breakfast with you and Henry" Emma then says softly.

"You're welcome, dear"

"I'll speak to you later" Emma leans forward and places a kiss upon Regina's cheek. Which surprises the older woman, and she then nods, as she is left rather speechless by the kiss upon her cheek and she watches, as Emma leaves.

Before, bringing her hand to her cheek and thinking, what was that?

A/N Thanks for reading everyone and I think they're going to be going on a spa date lol.
