The next day, Emma is helping her mother, prepare dinner. When there's, a knock on the door.

"I'll get it" Mary Margaret says, as she heads off, leaving Emma to cut the vegetables.

It is about a minute later, when Emma hears muttered voices, and she thinks that it must be Henry. As, he said his friend's parents would drop him off.

However, to her surprise. She hears the words "Hello love" from behind her and she drops the knife in her hand and turns around with wide eyes.

"Are you not going to say hello back?" Mary Margaret then says, with a wide smile and Emma swallows thickly.

"Hello" she then replies with a frown, as she watches Killian warily.

"Killian will be joining us for dinner" her mother then explains, and Emma can't believe what she's hearing.

"Why?" she says in disgust.

"We got talking yesterday outside the diner, and he was telling me how well you two are getting on lately, and I thought we should all have dinner together"

Emma then rubs her hands over her face and internally groans.

"I wish, you would have talked about this to me first" she then says seriously.

"You weren't here"

"Emma then sighs and goes back to cutting the vegetables, whilst cursing under her breath.

Twenty minutes later, Henry turns up and he is surprised, to see the pirate sitting with David at the table.

He quickly walks past them and to the kitchen, where he sees his mom leaning against the counter.

"Hey mom" he says happily.

"Hey kid, you, ok?"

"Yeah, what is Killian doing here?" he asks with a frown.

"Well, your grandmother, kindly invited him to dinner" she replies sarcastically.

"She's not trying to set you up with him, is she?" he then asks, whilst grimacing at the thought.

"I think, that is exactly what she is doing kid" Emma answers seriously, whilst crossing her arms.

"Ewe, you're not interested in him, are you?"

"What? No. As your mom said, he has no morals"

Henry then smiles.

"You enjoyed your night with mom too then?" he then asks rather eagerly and Emma quirks an eyebrow.

"Why? did she say something?" she replies, as casually as she can.

"Well, she seemed more happy than usual, when I spoke to her this morning"

"Yeah?" Emma smiles at him.

"Yeah, and I asked her how your night went, and she said it was wonderful"

Emma beams at this and she's eager, to know more but they are interrupted by Mary Margaret.

"Why don't you go talk to Killian, I can watch dinner" she tells Emma, who frowns.

"I'll talk to him later"

"Well, make sure you do. I think, he is rather offended that you didn't welcome him"

Emma rolls her eyes at this.

"Well, I didn't invite him" she replies bitterly and then walks off to the bathroom.

An hour later, Emma puts her knife and folk down on her plate, having finished her dinner and she looks over to Henry, who is giving her a knowing look.

The whole dinner had been awkward, with Mary Margaret suggesting her and Killian should go out on a date and that they would be good together.

Killian looked rather pleased with her mother's suggestion and had even told her parents, that he wanted to make an honest woman out of Emma.

But there was no way in hell, Emma was going to date him, let alone marry him.

She then reached for her phone, and while her parents and Killian were in conversation, she typed a message to Regina.

Regina, I need your help. My mother invited Killian to dinner, and it is going from bad to worse. I've tried telling her that I don't want him here, but she's convinced me and him have got this great thing going on. I'll never moan about doing paperwork ever again, if you somehow can save me from this disaster.

It is five minutes later, when there is a knock on the door.

"Who could that be?" Mary Margaret says, and she gets up to answer it and moments later, Emma can hear Regina's voice and she smiles and stands up.

Regina then walks in, and she looks annoyed.

"Sorry to interrupt your meal" she says seriously but Emma knows that she is not sorry. "Something important has come up and I need Emma's help" she adds.

"Oh, what's happened? Pan hasn't come back, has he?" Mary Margaret asks in concern.

"No, his not back, but I just need Emma's help with something magically"

Emma then swallows thickly, hoping Regina's excuse will be convincing enough.

"Oh, okay. Come back as soon as you can" Mary Margaret then tells Emma, who just nods and goes to grab her jacket.

They then leave and as soon as the front door closes, Emma hugs Regina.

"What are you doing?" Regina says in surprise, as she brings her arms up to put them around Emma.

"This is for saving me" Emma replies with a sigh. Whist enjoying having Regina in her arms.

"Well, you did say you'd never complain about paperwork ever again, if I did" Regina smirks, whilst also enjoying their closeness.

Emma then pulls back and looks into Regina's eyes.

"Yeah, I did, didn't I?" she mutters, as she gets lost in deep browns.

"You, know, you could have just told your mother, that you were not going to have dinner with that pirate and just walked out" Regina then says, and Emma shakes her head.

"I didn't want an argument and Henry was there"

"So, you thought, you'd get me bail you out?" she raises an eyebrow at Emma.

"Well, you are my witty glamourous friend" Emma chuckles and Regina rolls her eyes playfully.

"Come on, we better go" Regina then says and steps away and Emma just smiles and follows.

Once outside, Emma frowns.

"Where's your car?" she asks, whilst looking around and Regina smirks.

"I didn't drive here Emma" she then explains and Emma blinks.

"Oh"

"Do you mind if I, as you put it, poof us back to my house? she smirks at Emma, who chuckles.

"You just said poof" she grins at Regina.

"You're such a child"

"Am not" Emma then jokes and sticks her tongue out at the older woman, who just shakes her head in amusement, whilst waving her arms, and they disappear in a cloud of purple smoke.

Moments later, they appear in Regina's kitchen.

"Jeez, I'm still not used to that" Emma takes a deep breath and holds her sides.

"It does takes time to get used to, but your get there" Regina replies, as she steps towards a bowl that was on the counter and picks it up.

"Here, make yourself useful, while I turn the oven on" she hands over a mixing bowl to Emma and the blonde sees a mixture of ingredients within it, which include flour, brown sugar and chopped apples.

"Oh, what are you making?" Emma then asks in curiosity.

"Well, I thought I'd try making, a cinnamon sugar apple cake and let you and Henry try it"

Emma raises an eyebrow.

"Cinnamon huh?" she then smiles. Whilst knowing, that Regina knows she likes cinnamon in her hot chocolate.

"Yes, cinnamon. Now, I need you to fold the apples into the mix please"

"Okay, got it" Emma puts the bowl down on the counter and begins folding chopped apples into the mix.

A minute later, Regina steps over to where Emma is, and puts a pan down that has parchment paper in.

"Okay. We need to put the batter in the pan now" Regina says softly and Emma begins to put it in the pan.

Regina then brings over a smaller mixing bowl, which has sugar, cinnamon and melted butter in, and she begins to sprinkle it over the top.

"Right, forty-five minutes in the oven and it will be ready to eat" Regina then says, with a pleased smile and Emma watches, as she takes the pan to the oven and puts it in.

"You really like to bake, don't you?" she says softly and Regnia smiles.

"I do. Sometimes, it helps me to work through things in my head" She then says and looks to Emma, who has batter upon the cheek that doesn't have the stitches.

She then chuckles to herself and thinks, typical Emma.

"What?" Emma then says confused.

"You've got batter on your cheek dear" Regina answers and Emma puts her hand to where the stitches are, and Regina rolls her eyes and steps towards Emma.

"Seriously Miss Swan, what am I going to do with you" she says with a smile, as she grabs a napkin and then begins to wipe the batter off Emma's cheek.

Emma begins to blush.

"Um, thanks" she then mutters, and Regina pulls the napkin back, and is satisfised that she has got it all and she then, finds herself staring into Emma's eyes.

"How can you be so beautiful?" Emma then says, without thinking and Regina's eyes widen, but she doesn't move away.

Emma then licks her lips, as she brings her palm to Regina cheek and Regina unconsciously leans into it.

"You' really are wonderful" Emma then says softly and Regina melts.

"I don't know about that. I've done so many awful things" she then replies sadly.

"That may be true, but you are not that person anymore. You've changed and you have such a big heart"

Regina then swallows thickly, as she stares at Emma, and she doesn't know what to say.

""I want you to be happy" Emma then confesses and Regina melts.

"Oh Emma" Regina then sighs out, as she reaches up to cover Emma's hand, that is still upon her cheek.

Emma then beams, as her heart beats faster within her chest and she can't hold herself back any longer and she leans in, capturing red plump lips.

Regina then gasps in surprise, and she can't believe this was happening. She had imagined, what it would feel like to kiss Emma but that was nothing, compared to Emma's actual lips upon her own.

And moments later, Emma pulled back, whilst realizing what she had done, and she looks horrified.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean..." she stutters and steps back. Whilst Reigna opens her eyes.

"I shouldn't have done that, I've ruined everything" Emma then says with tears in her eyes, and she storms past Regina and runs off out of the house.

Leaving Regina, rooted to the spot and totally blown away by what had just happened.

It then, takes her a good long minute to compose herself. Before, she turns the oven off and rushes out of the house to find Emma. and to talk to
